CNN/L.............

Today a Lacom Naval ship, the (Coastal Patrol Vessel) CPV-6 Defiance, Sunk a civilian boat. The civilian boat was loaded with refugees from another country, which one has not been determined as of yet. Twenty nine refugees lost thier lives today, when the CPV-6 shot and sunk the boat. The Naval Officer in cahrge of the vessel was being questioned by Senior Naval Command. The CPV-6 fired its MK-19 Automatic Grenade launcher at the boat after signaling for the boat to return to its home port. After ignoring the warnings the Captain ordered the sailors to sink her. Lacomb inacted a law sometime ago giving more power to Military forces to crack down on illegal imagrints. President Maffret was not available, he is currently speaking to the UN, but we managed to speak to the Vice-President. Vice-President (elect) Dawn Forester had this to say; " We cannot say at this time whether or not the Captain acted under propoer authority or not. Lacomb did not intend for this kind of action to occur and does not condone these actions. The Captain will be given a fair trail if he is found to be in derelict of duty. we would like to apologize to th families of the people who were killed today. We are doing everything we can. Lacomb is in morning over the loss of life and this a very sad time for eveyone. We will do what we can for the families". The bodies of the refugees are being brought up from the sea to be delivered to thier home nation. Flags across Lacomb are flying at half mast today. A team of high ranking naval officers teamed with some members of the Lacomb Intelligence community are trying to figure out where they came from. One Officer beleives that the refugees came from the baltic sea in the southern regions of Lacomb. We will continue to broadcast when more information comes available.

The Empror condemns the trial of the Captain. He was doing his duty to nation, and obiding by the law which your nation has supported. He does not feel that the he should be tried for wrong-doing.

Official Government Statement

As sad as the loss of life is for the families, a Nation has a right to defend and govern itself. Obviously there is a problem with refugees and immigrants so laws were passed to address this problem.

The Empire thanks you for disposing of the few escapees from our recent purge of hippies. Also, we have included a cheque for $29,000 USD with this message, for distribution to the fine men and women of the CPV-6.

Vice-President(elect) Forester---------

We cannot accept your monies. We do not condone this action taken by the Captain of the CPV-6. We are looking into who's responsability this is and we will prosicute them to the fullest of our laws. The new laws inacted to control the Imagrants and refugees coming into our lands never called for the execution of innocent people. i doubt furthermore that these people even arrived from your country Tyrandis. We do have a problem with illegal immagrants at this time however the response to should not be one of violence. When our President returns from the UN he will address this matter further. The Captain is co-operating fully and proggress is being made. Our team trying to track down where these people came from has informed me they have narrowed it down to two possible nations and those nation swill be notified by T-Gram from our President.

-- Official Statement from the Kryozerkian Prime Minister--

While we are shocked by the loss of life, we understand why such actions were taken. There was an unauthorized ship in the waters of Lacomb, and they took the appropriate actions. However, we do not support the actions of the captain, nor do we support the unauthorized boat in Lacomb waters.
