Vice-President (elect) Dawn Forester had this to say; " We cannot say at this time whether or not the Captain acted under propoer authority or not. Lacomb did not intend for this kind of action to occur and does not condone these actions. The Captain will be given a fair trail if he is found to be in derelict of duty. we would like to apologize to th families of the people who were killed today. We are doing everything we can. Lacomb is in morning over the loss of life and this a very sad time for eveyone. We will do what we can for the families". The bodies of the refugees are being brought up from the sea to be delivered to thier home nation. Flags across Lacomb are flying at half mast today.
