Today in the news.

-Feminany Conference...

Officials have stated that while peace still isn't sure, the conference is underway. Ambassadore Schutz, Tekania's delegate to the conference has reported that a neighboring nation, Automagfreek, has pledged massive support for maintaining Feminany's sovereignty. And is confident that the conference has reached it's goal, and suing for the best peace possible in the region.

-War on the new Colonies...

Colonials in the Gryphon Sector, Tekanian's newest Colony, have reported that there are massive attacks and deaths occuring in her colonial neighbors. For this, we turn over to field reporter Paul Clause, aboart the TRSS Pegasus, in orbit...

"Rumors of assaults and murders occuring, and bodies of foreign colonials found, literally 'skinned' and sometimes with skulls and backbones removed, has put the colony up in arms. Earlier this month, the First and Third Stellar Fleet's, accompanied by the TRSS Orion, under Fleet Admiral Lawrence M. Warner, reported attacking unknown vessels in orbit, during initial colonial operations. And some ground glassing of possible planetary landings by these vessels. It is unknown at this point who these vessels belong to, or where they are from."

Stellar Fleet Operations have reported that the Sector Control Vessel Pegasus, and 1st Fleet are still on station above the colony. While the Sector Control Vessel Zeus has been dispatched to assist in the trials of the new TRSS Titan, launched early last week. And the Orion is currently dispatched as escort for the Feminany Conference.

-Religious Conference takes bad turn...

Officials have reported that the open Religious Conference, has taken a horrid turn... for more, we turn over to Dean Bright aboard the Sector Control Vessel Chronos.

"Well, it turns out all three of our religious representatives have gone missing. Major General Wainwright, aboard the Chronos has told us that elements of the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force were dispatched planet side... But there is no further information of the three leaders where-a-bouts. This occured, after earlier this week, the three, along with their two marine escorts, went missing shortly after landing on the planet. There is reported to have been some communication after landing, but which was mysteriously and abruptly cutoff. Since then, no sign has been made of the missing leaders."

Yes, horrible news for the Rebublic. The three missing leaders are Pastor Howard Griffith, a renown Presbyterian in the Republic... Bishop Dwayne C. Davis, representing Tekanias catholic population, and Imam Gift Agamah, representing the Muslim element of the great Republic.... tonight, millions of prayers, are going out for these three men and their safety, all over the Republic.

-In the Fleet...

Initial testing of the newest addition to the Force, the Sector Control Vessel Titan, is reporting to go well.... This also, while there is major outcry through the great Republic, on our lack of military stellar capability.... Many have concerns with our fleet's being spread too thin. Today, Fleet Admiral Warner, aboard the Orion, in planetary orbit over the Feminany conference, has announced pledged support to seek the creation of a 4th fleet, to bolster our ability to cover the mounting world, and indeed universal problems that have surfaced recently. Earlier yesterday, Secretary of Defense, Harcourt Zwingli, went before the Tekanian House of Delegates, to push legislation begore the Legislature, for the funding of this 4th Fleet, support of Tekania's Chief of Stellar Operations can only help in this matter, as we see it. This has done little with the home front... Many elements in Tekania are wondering if we have become too involved, and if, rather then bolstering our fleet, if we should cut back on our foreign operations.

-On the Home Front.

the Tekanian Senate, recently today, passed legislation creating high tarifs on imported goods into the Republic. This announcement came with large factions of Multi-National corporations, upset, that it cuts their competitiveness with local industry. Local industrial and Union leaders in the republic are satisfied with the legislation though... That it will protect our local industries.
