Tehran, Parthia-

Thousands of workers marched down the street of Tehran with signs in hand, "Fewer Hours, higher wages" or "I am human". They were striking against the working conditions of Parthian factories and the measly pay they were recieving. They were all the last free workers in the factories of Tehran, others had been replaced by slaves, and none of these men, women and children were Persians, Medes, or Azeris. They were Pushtuns imported in to work for a survival wage and now they were showing distaste for this system.
A crowd of police stood ahead of them, their radios blared "Do not allow them to cross the purity barrier (OOC: We fenced off our ghettos so the poor cannot go out without a permit and commit crimes), if necessary use any means." The poor continued to surge forward carrying bricks or TEC-9s, chanting, "Death to the Bourgeois and Elite" or "Marx forever". The middle class homes outside of the fence began to bristle with homeowner's weapons, G-3s and M-60s were all pointed at the strikers.
A policeman opened up with the loudspeaker, "Attention angry crowd, you are in violation of the laws against striking and Communist support, disperse, NOW!!!!" The crowd responded with a hail of bricks, severey wounding a police officer. The police Lieutenant shouted, "Thats it, kill these commies".
The CAR-15s and M-249s opened up along the police lines, killing hundreds of protestors. The crowd began to break up and flee as the civilians in the buildings opened fire with LAWs, M-60s, and G-3s, killing even more of the communists. Then, the police lines parted as two M2-A3 IFVs crashed trough the crowds, firing its autocannon.

We would like to query- You say this quite blandly and in a wide generalisation. Does this not exactlly mean this applies to foriegn state? Dosen't look like it's strictly domestic in our eyes. If indeed so, would this not be an act of agression on a foriegn state? Would that not be war in some sorts?

Punishment Spheres can be one of two things.

The first (and cheaper) is a plastic/glass sphere with small holes in it (for and and sound) with wires running along the inside. It can be administered so that if the person slumps over or rocks (or moves) a nasty high voltage low amp shock will hit him (the center is ground (ie what they stand on)), Usually propelling him towards the other sphere wall causing a bouncing effect that lasts as long as you like. Or you can merely attached the wires to them for a contiunal effect.

The second method requires a bit of major surgery first (Post Mod-Future only). A M.M.I. (mind machine interface) is put in them (the physical sphere is optional) and simulated pain/direct stimulation is applied (ala 1984).

To the nation of Voderlund-

The people we are rounding up will be only quickly detained, if they can be reeducated we will do so, if not they will be expelled from Parthia. Only rebels and leaders can be tried or punished for crimes, and leaders are given the oppurtunity to leave. Would you take them?

While Arribastan usually ignores this type of thing, we feel that it is unfair to single out groups. all protestors blocking streets should be summarily executed, not just those who protest against the government. The Republic applauds the initiative of our comrades in DPUO. We are saddened that it has to come to war, but it seems like violence is all that the fascists understand, though we are happy that the People of Parthia are going to be liberated from the capitalist oppressors.

However, whether Republican forces will become involved if this conflict escalates to actual fighting is not certain, it remains a possibility, especially if the government of DPUO requests.

We would like to invite representatives from both sides to the Hattian capitol with the intention of solving this without warfare...

Just be glad Letila isn't in this conflict. We would totally pwn you with our WMP. We are busy working on a project that will make any and all attempts to oppress completely futile. Our citizens are under orders to not utilize WMDs unless the government clears such an action, and since no one has decided to invade Parthia they will not utilize them.
