The United States of Shalrirorchia has announced the creation of the North Sea Alliance (NSA), a diplomatic, economic, and defensive military confederation. Small nations in particular are encouraged to join.

You must be a democratic state to join, and respect human rights.

The Emperor is offended by your discrimation of non-democratic nations, and hopes for you to change this obnoxious standard.

Considering our homeland is very close to the North Sea, this has caught out eye. We will join, under the condition that we have a say in the amending and writing up of the charter, if we may. We are a Unionist government, thus there is democracy among our people's, shown in our bicameral Parliament, which represents both the common class and the aristocracy of our nation.- Prime Minister Sophie Marseilles

The U.S.S. believes that free people exercising Constitutionally-protected rights under democratic governments are the only nations truly and wholly serving the interest of their citizens. The Imperial objection is noted, but overruled.

And ALL founding members will be involved in writing the charter.

Do you misunderstand us? We do have a set of Articles that protects our nation's people, and all legislation is done by the Parliament. The Emperor Elect represents the executive branch of government and is appointed by the bicameral Parliament. The judicial branch is represented by our Magistrates, appointed by the Emperor Elect. Where are we not a democracy?- Prime Minister Sophie Marseilles
