Interesting.

I've tried looking up resources on Google, but it gave me loads of crappy pages.

Some web-pages said that gold and gems mining was done in New England.

Also, I'm curious. If Iron isn't located in New England, then where did all the metal come from to build railroads, guns, etc. in the 1800's and the Civil War?

Other parts of the nation. There is probably some there, but its in very tiny amounts and as such does not have a very big impact on those states economies.
Possibilities would the mid atlantic states, or the old northwest, or the current midwest, etc.

I just did some research on Penn. and NJ.

Chemicals, tourism, research, high tech, and oil refineries are the foremost industries in NJ. In addition, pharmaceuticals, instruments, machinery, electrionics, and apparel are produced there. The state ranks high in the production of almost all garden vegetables, as well as cranberries, blueberries, and peaches. Poultry, dairy products, and seafood are also top commodities.

NJ is one of the world's foremost research centers, and is also called the "Crossroads of Industry" in the Eastern Seaboard. It serves over 60 million consumers across the Eastern Seaboard via its extensive seaports, railroads, highways, and air cargo. Sitting between two large cities, New York City and Philly helps this a lot.

About Penn.... It has steel, coal, iron, oil, hay, farm crops, machinery, chemicals, and electronics.

The nation's first oil well was dug at Titusville, Pennslyvania, in 1859, and the mining of iron ore and coal led to the development of the state's steel industry. More recently Pennsylvania's industry has diversified, although the state still leads the country in the production of specialty steel. The service, retail trade, and manufacturing sectors provide the most jobs; Pennsylvania is a leader in the production of chemicals and pharmaceuticals, food products, and electronic equipment.

Pennsylvania's 59,000 farms (occupying nearly 8 million acres) are the backbone of the state's economy, producing a wide variety of crops. Leading commodities are dairy products, cattle and calves, mushrooms, greenhouse and nursery products, poultry and eggs, a variety of fruits, sweet corn, potatoes, maple syrup, and Christmas trees.

Pennsylvania's rich heritage draws billions of tourist dollars annually. Among the chief attractions are the Gettysburg National Military Park, Valley Forge National Historical Park, Independence National Historical Park in Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania Dutch region, the Eisenhower farm near Gettysburg, and the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.

Hope this helps your resource research, Whittier. :)

Pennslyvania:

New Jersey:

I found some extra resources for my original New England states.

Maine has Zinc and peat, and has the potential for additional resources as its full economic and industrial capacity has yet to be realized.

This is from the link...

http://geography.about.com/gi/dynamic/offsite.htm?site=http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0108221.html

New York has some additional stuff like Zinc, Photography, Fiber Optics, Optical Equipment, etc. It has diverse manufacturing industries as well.

Here's the link...

Fixed a couple on this list,
nations that claimed parts of nations, have been assigned provinces of those nations. Uruk is now landlocked inside Ottoman Kaif.
And part Pakistan still remains available. And Susa is located in the Kuzhestan province of southwest Iran.
Found out that Al Anbar is an actual name of an Iraqi province. The western most province that is.
I am still working out the kinks however.

One more question, Whittier.

It seems like nobody else is claiming the Eastern seaboard, from Florida all the way up to my Pennslyvania and New Jersey. (All the states that border the Atlantic Ocean)

I'd like to know what is the maximum number of lands a person can claim in this Earth.

Also would it be permissible if I could claim the Eastern Seaboard (Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, West Virgina, Maryland, and Delaware)?

Or is that too much? Let me know. After this, I promise I won't be making any more expansion or claims in Earth IV. I'll be content with what I have. :)

I claimed these lands over 2 - 3 months ago, and you were kicked out of Earth II recently (yesterday or so) due to the DA deletion issue.

I'm not giving up my claims in Earth IV, as I have had it for a while now, and I have some RP's planned for it in the near future. There's plenty of other land in Earth IV, or you could try to claim your claims in Hataria's Earth VI or create your own Earth.

sharina is correct. He was one of the first to claim land in earth IV and he also gave some help when I initially came up with it. He gave me the site I am getting the resource info from. So his claims will remain along with certain other nations, that I have known for awhile and are good rpers.

Earth IV is currently closed while I research each nations resources and research subdivisions. I am trying to make where there is enough land for everyone who wants some. Hence why I am breaking nations down into their states, divisions, departments, or territories. I am currently still working on the Americas, then I will move on to Europe.

Any one seen Balddur, Magdha, Jangle Jangle Ridge, Kisogo, Islamaisbad, Antartica123, liberated America, Mauiwowee, Napoleonic Empire, imported_Illior, Marak, and Accorda . Cause if not, I am going to open up their claims to others.

Whittier, I was wondering if there's anyone who is going to make maps? I think it'd make this Earh much more exciting and easier to claim in when people see nations shaded in maps.

I can't do maps, as I don't have access to web authoring software, and I don't have my own server to host image files.

yes, multiple maps. Those nations that have more than one owner will each have their own map. Btu I am thinking of hosting the maps on an offsite forum or in a different thread, to prevent cluttering this one.

Hmm. I think it'd be easier if there were just 7 maps.

North America
South America
Europe
Asia
Africa
Australia / Pacific area
Anarctica

That way, it won't take as much work trying to create 10 or 20 individual maps, and then people can simply glance at the continent they want to claim land in, and see which lands are taken.

Some good examples of Earth Claims maps would be ones in Earth V and Earth II.

As I requested on one of the other Earths, please do not use the maps I have used. I've worked many, many, many hours on them and it would be very frustrating to have someone slice off of that.

Hey Whitter,
I have been itnerested in claiming an Earth IV claim, but I see your problem.

I myself had the same problem when I did my Farbini I map (see my siggy). Can't make the map fast enough or don't feel like updating it every claim. So I made a list of nations, like in Earth III, and what they own (as in for example: Whitter- (Germany, Spain, France, Italy, China [North East]) for example's sake.

This will help so the demand for a map is not that high and that people will not be misled by ill-updated maps.

Hope this helps and throw me a TM when this gets on the road will yeah? Also, I found a map of the Pacific Islands (east Asia and Australia) and I will host it later (it came from an online atlis program).

As an example of what is happening: UK has been divided into 10 seperate areas that must be claimed seperately. Panama into 3 areas (north, canal, south). For France, I am not using the admin zones since there are too many. So I am using regions instead.

Well, when this gets settled out, I wouldn't mind the entirety of China.

I finally checked here becouse your TG reminded me how I remember you (next to my near-War)

Now, as to the maps:

I belive just a continental map of each continent is good enough, Australia, South America, North America, Asia, Europe, and Africa, with the Middle East, Central Europe, and USA zoomed in with seperate maps.

I already have the Asian and N/S American Maps (from my works on Earth III).
