A political crisis has arisen in the United States of Shalrirorchia in relation to the recent Aimiran Civil War. Days before J. Kenkarra was to be sworn in as President of the U.S.S. (replacing his opponent Tarumigan Gistarai), evidence has surfaced implicating Kenkarra in the deceptive diplomacy that pulled the U.S.S. into the war.
The documents suggest that Kenkarra consorted with Dalooean representatives to embroil the U.S.S. in an unpopular war that proved politically ruinous to the Gistarai Administration.
Kenkarra has called the documents, "shameless forgeries" and has called on the Army to ensure his inaugeration. President Gistarai has accused Kenkarra of high treason, and suspended the inaugeration...effectively violating U.S.S. Constitutional law. The Shalrirorchian Defense Force appears to be split, with some commanders pledging to uphold the Constitution and put Kenkarra in power, and others claiming that if the allegations are true, he should not be allowed to become President.
President Gistarai remains in the capital of Shalcoria, on the main continent of Morningstar, surrounded by loyal special forces. Kenkarra's whereabouts are unknown.
