My nation is a mix between Post-Soviet Russia, Post Imperialistic Sweden, Imperialistic Germany with a democracy twist. :P

My Culture is Scandinavian Urgic.

Our State Religion is Lutheran (Protestant).

Now that's an interesting mix, hehe.


Our culture is dominated by a Far-Eastern-like style (Japan, China).

Our official religion is Lutheran also.

Sarzonia is Anglo-American, with a bit of Cuban for flavoring.

There is no national religion in Sarzonia, but there are major populations of non-denominational Christian, Catholic, Protestant, and Jewish. There are very small populations of Mormons, pagans, wiccans, atheists, and agnostics.

Maavald is heathen, not a trace of christianity. People live in deep and dark forests, casting fear, terror and darkness upon the feeble masses of the civilized world. Muhahahhahaaaaaaaw!!!!!!!!!

Mine is a very urban-american culture, with trace of communism like styles. There is no official religion, but the majority of the population seems to be non-religious, with Christianity and Judiasm being close seconds. Buddhists are fairly common, and those of Hindu faith are occasionally found. The Islamic population is slim to none.

Greenmanbry boasts a fairly liberal society with a refined capitalist economic system.

The inhabitants of our region are like the Aztecs in the fact that they believe the ruler is a decendant of the chief God. Otherwise we aren't similar to any nation.

Elodomia is Postmodern, and its disillusioned, narcissistic population tends toward cultural fragmentation ... they'll rip off anything that they deem worthy of a proud Elodomian art show, building or catwalk. However, being a western-European, "laissez-faire"-capitalist nation, there's a tend toward business attire, and clean, black and white themes.
Ethnically, Elodomians are mainly Caucasian, with Middle Eastern and Asian minorities growing in size.
Narcissism replaced Christianity, after a short popularity competition with Buddhism and Agnosticism.

The Palladian Technate spans the entirety of Pallas Continent, and as such has a very diverse population. Northern Palladia is heavily influenced by European cultures, and features a mostly European-looking population. Eastern Palladia is very Chinese. Southwestern Palladia, the nexus of all civilization on the continent, is traditionally Roman influenced but is now a sort of "melting pot". The Western islands are an odd mixture of Japanese and Greek cultures, and the Southeast is influenced by African (Egyptian) civilization.

Generia is slavic culture, descended from Russians in the south, and Ukrainian cossacks in the north, on what is known as the Generian steppe. Our military is a mix of Soviet military culture, and Roman Imperial military culture. Religion is mainly Generian Orthodox Christian.

My nation is a blend of Ancient Inca and Ancient Egypt.

People there have light tan remisicient to Spanish or Portguese. There are some causcasians (from high mountains).

My nation has pyramids, ziggrauts, obelisks, carved statues, old mountain cities, etc. remisicient of Ancient Egypt and Ancient Inca.

Religion is based off the mythology of Ancient Inca and Egyptians. However, a new version of monotheism is taking place (not Christian or real world religion).

Arizona Nova is a curious state. To explain the culture (much less the government system) you would have to be well versed in the nation's history and ancient lore. The state is what Terrans would refer to as "modern conservative," in style, though they disagree with certain points of the ideology. The society has become increasingly anti-racist over the years, meaning that any racist activity, if it isn't squelched by the government, is usually disrupted by angry citizens. Christianity, but no specific domination (though also "conservative") is the reigning religious dogma. Extremity in ideals is also frowned upon as unwanted, and those who embrace the fringe (either left or right) do not fit in.

Nominor, however, is almost mirror opposite. It was formed by those people who did embrace fringe ideals, and it's society is what some have phrased an "unholy union" of ideals, namely extreme social conservatism and extreme economic liberalism - in a word, anti-libertarians. The policies have quite efficiently destroyed the civil rights, economy, and political rights ratings, but somehow the populace occupies a very high slot when the UN tests nations for happiness, usually beating Arizona Nova in the process.

Almendrastan is a small devoutly spritual nation. Right now we're settled in the newly founded yafutoma region. I guess its like the Meiji era of japan where western civilition is mixed in with eastern traditional culture.

Well Carthage and Troy are basically the ancesters of the ancient cultures of the Mediterranean. Basically they look like modern Mediterranean people, i.e. Spanish, Greek, Lebanese.

The cuisine is also Mediterranean, i.e. lots of Wine and Olive Oil, but aside from that the culture is more like Northern Europe/America, i.e. Secular, liberal politics, open minded to various opinions, and with a youth dominated fashion and music scene.

All religions are tolerated, modern religions such as Christianity and Islam mix healthily with Ancient Pagan Cults and Atheists.

The nation of Mikallah is very much unrealistic. It combines the lack of environmental support that comes from america, with communist russia ideals in place. We also have a strong hatred of protestors, and tend to have sadistic idelogies about animals (all bunnies are forced to have pancakes stapled to their heads).
Mikallah's religion is mainly comprised of athiests as is preached by the government, though a small and highly procescuted christian group exists, attending chuch in the underground.

We're not really based on anything at all. We've outlawed capitalism and carefully guard the environment. Everyone is against gay marriage and abortion. We welcome new immigrants, and support multiculturalism. I think that's about it.

My culture is unlike anything seen on this earth, for the simple reason that I cannot tell my people what is "morally" right or wrong. I have three sets of laws:

Sovick society it a mixture of the eastern European nations. The Sovick people predominantly sound Slavic in dialect. Most of the population are of a Christian background, but there are some other religions. Religion is not infringed upon in Sovick society although some civil rights are not allowed and political rights are even more limited. But for the most part, people can do what they want as long as they dont deliberately and harshly speak out with hatred for the government.
The Sovick people are for the most part extremely patriotic and thus the nation has a high percent of people in the military. Most of the Sovick people believe in order and keeping things going smoothly, and lately throughout the small nation a mini “red-scare” has taken place. The government has basically declared anarchists to be terrorists and has started arresting tens of thousands of people who proclaim to be liberal enthusiasts.

My country is a total Latin-American country with a total respect to the Imperial Throne, It's a mix with a Portuguese/Spanish/Mexican/Dutch and Italian Culture where the construction of the city is a Dutch/German style with it's gorgeous homes in the outskirts, We use most of the money for the constructions of cities and give around 700,000 Pesos (70,000 Usd) Every Year to 1,000,000 Families every year. Culturally Parthia is Orthodox Zorastrian and very Pro-Persian. Islam and Arabs are despised by Parthian citizens and most believe that Persians are the greatest race on earth. The rich are excessivley rich and the poor are getting less poor, more are becoming middle class because of the widespread use of slave labor for low income jobs. Almost every rich or middle class person owns a firearm, in fact people are allowed to own fully automatic weapons, RPGs, tanks, attack helicopters, SAMs, fighter jets, and explosives. Pathian citizens despise leftists and annual roundups of leftists and vegans by citizens are commonplace. Gay marriage and homosexuality are banned, homosexuals are required to be medicated and attend counseling. Right wing groups often crack down on leftist protest and press with force, European immigrants are welcomed but otherwise Parthians are suspicious of immigrants and immigration. The environment is a wasteland in ghettoes and dumpsites because of the almost total lack of environmental regulations and corporations are prosperous because of the lack of regulation. Unions are banned and their leaders executed publically and cries for democracy or constitutional monarchy are met by bullets and shells. Parthian wealthy live opulently in 50 room Persian-Baroque style manors and high rise 7,000 sq ft. condos while the lessening class of proletariat live in tenements that literally fall apart because of the lack of building regulations.

I have the Star Wars Galactic Empire as my basis, but mine is a lot nicer and has Jedi and Republic starfighters. It even has a Senate to keep the people happy.

We're an odd mix of semi-military dictatorship and liberal paradise... basically, we have very few rules on what you can't do, but we're keeping a close eye on you in case you do, and you'd better hope we don't catch you at it. The majority race is Jewish. Most people in Kelonia are not at all religious, although Judaism is the predominant actual religion.

We've legalised marijuana and online filesharing such as MP3s is allowed thanks to a liberal judge and an interesting technicality, but certain crimes carry severe sentencing (corruption in the police and army can carry the death sentence as 'Betrayal of the People's Trust'). Our government uses bureaus to design most things, much like Soviet-era Russia, but private industry is encouraged. Our language is phonetically similar to Russian, though when written it uses the Roman rather than Cyrillic alphabet. In a reverse of the usual 'Western' view, short, chubby brunettes are considered more desirable than tall, skinny blondes, as skinny women have always been seen as unhealthy in Kelonia - an old Kelonian proverb goes; "A healthy man is skinny because he catches his food to eat. A healthy woman is stout because she has all the food she needs". Apart from this, our culture is very similar to the west, apart from subtle differences such as our preference for small, neat cars over 'gas-guzzlers'.

The Holy Republic of Saint Dracula is a right leaning libertarian nation, that looks to Vlad Tepes for inspiration ('Saint' Dracula is not merely a name)--those who abide by the law and respect each others' rights are sacrosanct; those who harm others and deprive them of life, liberty, or property are to be implacably and publically scourged.

The 'style' of our nation is rather unorthodox; borrowing equally from the Addams Family style gothic aesthetic, the elegant minimalism of the Greeks and Egyptians, and the elaborate ornamentation of priestly vestment. Architecture is heavily influenced by old European cathedrals like Notre Dame, but on a scale and in a style made more practical by modern technology. The 'heroin chic' standard of beauty in many Western nations is sneered at here; health and fitness are considered synonymous with beauty. The most popular sport is fencing, and impromptu duels are common to settle otherwise insoluble disagreements (harming one's opponent to the extent of requiring medical attention is, however, considered assault).

Our culture places high value on personal responsibilty, free enterprise, self defense, and honesty. Creativity is encouraged, and artists (whether of the visual, musical, or literary variety) are held in high regard.

All adults who are physically able and mentally trustworthy to use a gun are required to attend classes on firearm safety and marksmanship, and gun ownership is highly encouraged. An armed society is a polite society.

Saint Dracula's popular culture enjoys arching, ominous, stylish imagery and sounds--bands like Therion and Lesiem are popular, as are movies like Labyrinth and The Frighteners.

Saint Dracula has little or no natural resources or fertile land to speak of, so extremely high value is placed upon creating exportable goods--sometimes of the intangible variety; Saint Dracula's artists, musicians, and writers are known for their eagerness to export their talent to any country that will have it.

Sexual orientation is considered irrelevant--'gay rights' are somewhat a perplexing concept here; the rights of gays are, from what we can tell, no different than anyone else's. What is quite relevant, however, is behavior--gays are expected to hold themselves to the same standards of dignity and morality as straights, and most are glad to do so. Almost all of Saint Dracula's non-straights, including myself (I'm bi), very strongly disapprove of America's loud, wild gay culture.

By far, the most followed religion in Saint Dracula is the Church of the Eclipsing Blood, a Christian sect that outsiders tend to find rather eccentric. Unlike other denominations, Eclipsing Blood reverses the usual "light=good, darkness=evil" dynamic--"light", as a spiritual metaphor, is associated with blindness and the fires of Hell, while "darkness" is associated with rest, healing, and wisdom. The inverted crucifix is, unlike elsewhere, considered a holy symbol--the "Cross of Peter", as it's known, is considered a sacred symbol of humility and self sacrifice, because the apostle Peter asked to be crucifed upside down, claiming to be unworthy of dying in the same manner as the Messiah. (The idea of the symbol being Satanic is sneered at as pagan foolishness--the concept of inversion reversing the meaning of a symbol is thought to have originated in pagan superstition.)

Any religion is legal, and most are represented among the populace. Children attending government run schools may wear their religious symbols and carry their holy texts, and any religion's equivalent of an ordained minister may petition to teach an optional religion-oriented class. Any religious practice that violates our laws, however, is prosecuted regardless of its religious status, and repeated violations by the same religion tend to get that religion investigated. We're still wondering who's slaughtering hobos and leaving them on altars in alleyways.

Drabikstan is a mountainous, landlocked nation in the Caucasus region. The people of Drabikstan are ethnically a mixture of Slavic and Ossetian tribes. The Drabikstani language is similiar to modern Russian, although aspects of Germanic launguages have also been adopted. Christian Orthodox is the main religion but other forms of Christianity are widely practised.

Drabikstan has a communist government committed to social equality. Due to regional instability, the military has become a powerful player in state affairs with a major increase in military spending. Drabikstani President Xer Kibard has assumed an autocratic role. Only limited private industry exists and it is highly regulated. The goverment has adopted an economic theory of 'market socialism'. Economic self-sufficiency, similiar to the ideology of 'juche', has become a high priority with the government limiting foreign economic influence. Drabikstan is rich in oil and gas with state owned companies currently expanding pipeline networks to increase the export of these resources. This has created a dilemma for the communist government as the increasing dependence on oil exports is against Drabikstan's attempt at a self-sufficient economy.

The protection of the natural environment in Drabikstan is a high priority with the government declaring large areas of land as protected reserves. Drabikstan maintains some of the most beautiful forests, mountains and valleys in the world. However, increased energy production has strained the green ideology of the government.

Drabikstan is known for its old artistic architecture, although the government has continued the Soviet-era style of massive apartment blocks and dull city planning.

Mine is where they think that their race is perfect, and that the rest of the Universe has no right to think by themselves.

The Armed Republic of Sino (South China) is a militarist, (ultra)nationalistic, capitalistic state, with only one goal in mind- unite all Chinese-speaking peoples under the Five Star Red Banner!

Culturally, it is Chinese, although the English language has been promoted. Recently, (ultra)nationalism and militarism (especially with compulsory military training) has leeched into the minds of the South Chinese, from political to cultural. Clearly, South China exists only in a state of struggle until its ultimate goal is realized.

Politically, it is seen more as an odd mix of modern China (without the communist residue), Nazi Germany (without the Nazism or racism), America (no democracy, of course), and Singapore (harsh laws on morals and a powerful economy). The Military Junta shows no separation between the military and state. The leader is a warlord.

Ariddia's population is a mix of indigenous Wymgans (about 30%), descendants of European colonisers, and a lot of immigrants from around the world, with the interesting cultural mix that ensues. This is a secular state, with a large majority of atheists (Wymgan culture, for example, has no spiritual aspect). Ariddian society is extremely permissive; gay marriage is of course allowed, as is wandering around stark naked for those who feel so inclined.

Ariddia is a democratic communist nation, where social rights are seen as essential, and compassion and solidarity are prime virtues.

General Description of Iuthia for the "Tourists":


Introduction: First thing tourists notice upon entering Iuthia is the rather extensive security measures taken in order to try and secure Iuthia's airports. Commercial aircraft flying into or over Iuthia must be among Iuthia's trusted nations list, as such getting into Iuthia isn't a direct affair, though it's doubted that any nation wishing to spy on Iuthia is actually going to fly direct from their nation in anycase.

Meanwhile on the planes going to Iuthia or stopping off in Iuthia are booklets informing tourists and visitors of the laws they are expected to follow, from reporting into a hotel directly after leaving the airport to the notifications that the privacy laws are much more lax when it comes to monitoring tourists.

The security in the airport both on a personal and a military level is verging on paranoid. From the air it is possible, if you have the background knowledge, to notice anti-air defence and possibly other over-protective measures. On ground level the security seems less hostile, but it remains excessive. Tourist's luggage is much more likely to be searched and it's not uncommon for complex items to be taken apart if they have reason to suspect something, with compensation offered for damaged goods.

After reporting into your hotel (which informs the authorities of your arrival automatically) you are given pretty much the same freedoms as the citizens of Iuthia... the only exception being that your privacy isn't assured, it's just given to you on trust.

Buildings and Environment: Iuthia's cities look dull, there is no question about that as the imagination and appreciation for art within Iuthia are somewhat limited. The majority of building are built with endurance and effeciency in mind, with their aesthetic values taking a backseat. Alot of the more secure buildings are also built to be very defendable.

Expansion hasn't been a problem for Iuthia on the whole as the amount of land Iuthia has is comparable to that of Russia; each time they need more homes they can afford to build out a little more. As such there are many cities and the large number of trees that Iuthia once had have been reduced at an alarming rate.

Otherwise its a warm nation with plains and rainforrests in the less populated areas in and around the nation. There are many beaches on the east coast of Iuthia as well as a large mass of water to the west, the beaches are often good tourist traps, but only a few of them are top quality due to pollution. However, seeing as beaches help with the tourist revenue Iuthia tries to keep them clean.

Narcotics\Guns\Prostitution Laws: Drugs are freely available in stores around the nation, though some of the harder recreational drugs can only be bought in a pharmacy/store where you are informed fully of the effect, but you not prohibited from buying it. Quality is assured from these stores as required by the government. Prices are reasonable and can undercut the indepentant salement and assure safety... as such "drug dealers" are not the same in Iuthia and the criminal element is removed.

Guns however, are not readily available from Iuthia and buying them within the nation itself is concidered very hard and risky. The official weapons allowed are those of the military, though it should be noted that the Iuthian Peacekeepers are military and yet act as the nations police service. Buying a gun illegally means having to find a corrupt sales man with contacts in the Iuthian military or weapon industry... both are run by the government and are carefully monitored. It's not impossible but given Iuthia's society and indoctrination of the people it's alot harder then it would be in many other nations.

Prostitution, like drugs, is completely legal and carely regulated to protect both perverts and prostitutes alike. Prostitution is not a industry with works on Iuthia's streets, but in Iuthia's many brothals.

General Civil Liberties: The Iuthian people seem, after some investigation, to have alot of freedom in the running of their personel lives. The government doesn't monitor them; CCTV is rare with except to very public places, secure locations and hotels. They are free to walk around naked in the streets and if the day is warm and the job isn't too dangerous then any tourist in Iuthia will be able to see a reasonable preportion of Iuthia's population excerising this freedom... when pressed on their feelings about it many Iuthian are not embarrassed by this, it's natural in Iuthia.

The main concern an outsider may have about Iuthia's freedom is their complusory military service. Iuthians have an option to wait anywhere between 16-21 to fulfil this service; until they do so they are concidered to be an adolescent by Iuthian law and have some of their freedoms limited and replaced with protection laws in order to keep them from being prayed upon.

Many Iuthians accept this and the military service, which can take anything from a year to two years, is concidered to be like an extra year in school. The society has got used to this over the time it was introduced over 100 years ago and is now part of the right of becoming an adult.

Political Freedoms and Politics: These don't really exist in Iuthia, the Iuthian government usually works on a basis of who gets employed by the person above them, eventually working its way up to the Lord General himself. It is carefully monitored but it's not uncommon that lower level officials are a little corrupt and may accept bribes if the danger isn't too high.

Otherwise it is a complete dictatorship... who is in charge is usually a matter of who can stay incharge once they have taken control, there are no special measures though Dictators once in place usually stick to having members of their family preceed them. Currently the Lord General deGritz is in power and he has probably one of the most stable governments in Iuthia's history.

Some politcal observers have noted that this is because James deGritz has positioned himself in such a way as to make his removal more costly to most factions and making the stability of his power essential to the major factions. His approval of treating his people with respect and giving them civil freedoms has improved his standing... but in truth the Iuthian people are largly apathetic as to who is incharge, so long as they are doing a good job.

Law Enforcement: Iuthia's law enforcement is generally handled by the Iuthian Armies own "Peacekeeper" forces, trained specifically for their role as policemen in Iuthia. Essentially they are policemen, but they come under Iuthia's military funding and as such they have a reasonable budget in order to keep the people.

Generally keeping the order in Iuthia isn't a problem, as the majority of the nation are law abiding citizens and many things within Iuthia have been legalised or are not even concidered a crime. The majority of crime in Iuthia are from crimes of passion, such as a husband finding his wife in bed with his best friend.

Meanwhile trials are quite efficient, with the judges having more power to prosecute and less power given to the accused. While some may question this, the Iuthian people seem to be indifferent about it possibly due to indoctrination via the military service and upbringing.

Societies Mindset and Current Mood: Iuthia's society has always found the disapline to be a valuable virtue as the heart of the militaries ethos has leaked down into the mindset of the people. Clearly the use of the complusory military service over many generations has effected Iuthia's people in such a way it's become part of upbringing as methods are copied in schools and even the homes of parents themselves.

Of course, outside of the military it's done with more love and care, however the basic principals are often there. As such many Iuthian have trouble with understand artwork and their imagination is tied down to more practical uses.

As for the mood of the people at the moment? The Iuthian people seem moderately content, with some of the population in a celebratory mood due to Iuthia's Lord General announcing his intention to marry Liessa Valleron, a well know Iuthian elven celebrity. It's hard to find people who obvicously dislike the way the Government is run, but these people are rare... the majority of the population couldn't care eitherway.

Iuthian Diplomacy: Certain events have been in the news regarding Iuthia's current diplomatic efforts around the world, some of which have had more interest then others. One of the more notable situations came down to Iuthia's trade being harmed by the actions of their ally in the UnAPS alliance; Scandavian States, who inadvertantly damaged trade through careless actions around the region of Klatch, scaring local mercentile ships from making their shipment as around 400 vessels amassed in the region without so much as a communication to the nations of the region.

Scandavian States lost alot of face in the eyes of both the Iuthian government and the people recently due to the complete lack of respect shown at the start of the affair and towards the end of the affair even when Iuthian officials advised them against their actions.

In other news Iuthian attempts to peacefully avert war in The Fedral Union have been halted due to serious security concerns as one of the representatives of Austar Union were found to be a terrorist. The Austar Union has been adviced to pull out it's diplomatic staff from Iuthia until their security has been vastly improved.

The Constitutional Republic of Tekania, is multi-cultural, but predominately Norman and Anglo-saxon in heritage... It's governmental form is Libertarian-Republican in nature, with fierce patriotic overtones... Dissent is not only encouraged, but fundamental to maintaining the honor and integrity of the Republic's government...

Longer asnwer: Daistallia 2104 is a mix of a variety of ethnicities. The original inhabitants of the original lands were the decendants of Nepalese and Tibetian tribes, known as the Whilan. The next set of peoples were invading by Swiss-German mercenary adventureres. The main company eventually loaned it's name to the people now known as the Stalli. A third wave of settlers came from refugees from a number of Asian countries, including Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Korea, and Southern China. These people eventually became known as the Dai. That's why the nation is known as Daistallia. The 2104 comes from an RP event several RL months ago that projected a hard core realist country into a post-cyberpunk future. (Look up the White Fog for details.)

The main religion is Buddhism, with an offshoot of Vajrayana (Tibetian) Buddhism being most important. Zen Buddhism and Catholisism are minor but imortant religions.

Generally the business and military culture reflects the Swiss-German and Chinese origins, the daily life and food culture reflects the SE Asian and Korean origins, and the spiritual life reflects the Tibetian/Nepali origins.

My nation, Germachinia, is Slavic. She is a constitutional monarchy; King Muczkarr XII now reigns, with Wladimir Gavril Kolya as her prime minister. She has her own language, Germachian, which is a mix of German, Hungarian, English, and Russian.
She was founded in 1243, with the building of Czanta-Benedikt, now the capital city, by Erik Thorvaldsen. Her stability was threatened in 1948, when the USSR attemted invasion, brutally assasinating the Ottokar dynasty and ushering in the Muczkarr dynasty. By 1951, however, she had repelled the Soviet attack, but now remained a tiny island in a Communist sea of red. However, by extraordinary negotiations, she remained intact, and immerged in 1989 as victorious. She has since gotten steadily wealthier, as a thriving import/export business has developed; Germachinian gold is plentiful, and is naturally %100 pure - it needs no refinery.

The Ghargonians are a warrior race. We exist for competition. Gerash are even more warrior-like, the Gerash being a sub-species in our society, but their lust for violence cannot be quelled with sporting competition.

It is no surprise then that one of the major sporting attractions among our people is the gladiatorial contest that takes place once a week in Ghargonia City, and in every province on Ghargonia Prime. Usually it is two Gerash battling for the death -- the winner earns the right to train in the military if they have been rejected when they were first bred. The loser, erm, loses. Sometimes, however, a prisoner will be put in the contest against a Gerash. There is no other punishment but the death penalty here. If they win the contest, they win their freedom. But a Gerash is twice as strong as a Ghargonian, and twice as bloodthirsty -- so far, no prisoner has ever won his or her freedom.

Females of our society are strong. Stronger than males. Anger a female, in fact, and she can quite possibly throw you across the room. Generally the females of our society are the submissive gender, however, even though we have no beliefs in keeping rights from them -- what few rights are available, that is.

Most Ghargonians prefer not to wear clothing. We do not have what you may call 'private parts' that are visible on the outside as with so many mammals, and our skin is thick enough so that the elements do not bother us. Combined with the fact that clothing is an alien invention and does not sit comfortably with us, most tend to go without. Those in the Military, however, are required to wear full body armour [imagine Cardassian armour crossed with Jaffa (not including their helmets) armour and you have Ghargonian armour] for their own protection. And to identify them as members of the military.

Our entertainment consists of rudimentary things. Ghargonians are unlikely to be found with hundreds of gonars worth of electronic equipment whose sole purpose is to make a noise. Instead, reekhouses (rough pub crossed with strip club, generally), holo-systems (frequently used for battle simulations) and gladiatorial contests provide the majority of entertainment. There is a communication network but it is not wasted on 'television programs' of people pretending to be other people.

The Emperor, Gorbgan IV, soon to be Ghargon, is revered by all. He is the strongest of us. The Emperor, and the Ghargon, is decided upon by a much better process than 'democracy'. If you feel strong enough to be leader, you challenge the Emperor. If you can kill the Emperor, you gain his title. If you fail, you do not deserve mercy because of your stupidity and arrogance in believing yourslef ready. Anybody can challenge him, be you a soldier, a General, a factory worker or even a woman. Since he gained control of our society, fifty-nine people have challenged him for leadership. Forty-three of them did not survive, the others remained in critical condition for months afterwards. His strength guides us to greatness. He is the strongest Emperor we have ever had, in fact; his strength even betters that of a Gerash soldier. Destiny is at hand, it seems.

Religion does not exist in Ghargonia. Our history started almost 2,000,000 years ago. This has given our people ample time to shake off the superstitions of the ancients. Combined with our increased knowledge of the universe, nobody believes in any religion. However, history does record a religion called 'Krakar', which worshipped two Gods. Each claimed responsibility for creating the universe, and they fought each other for all eternity to prove their worth. They represent the warrior in Ghargonians, and the competition we must endure if we are to remain strong.

Males and females mate, lay eggs, have offspring, raise them as a family, and eventually die to leave their child to continue the species. They eat various animals (we are pure carnivores, and cannot digest vegetation), though they are limited to the small, soft animals of Earth at the moment. As 'rebels' against the Imperium, the driving force behind everything our society here on Earth has always been, for the past 2,000 years, to take command of that empire. Our own 'Empire' consists of 0micronis Island, and a small military base on Mars. Not much. That will soon change.

And lastly, we are xenophobic in the extreme. If a human were to walk down a street of Ghargonia City without an armed Gerash escort, they WOULD be killed by a mob. Maybe even eaten -- we are carnivores after all. It is not just humans, but any intelligent species.

There is little else that can be told of Ghargonian society which is not similar to that of all societies.

My country's people descended from Anglo-Saxon ancestry, so the population is mostly dominated by whites. As for our culture, its sort-of based on America 25-30 years ago. The most popular forms of music are 80's rock and 70's ballads. Our top sport is stock car racing, and everbody loves to grill and barbecue. I guess you could call it red-neck land. Intelligent rednecks, though. (if there is such a thing)

Letila is basically a mixture of the cultures or rather subcultures of socialist radicals, hippies, and sci-fi and anime fans. An odd mix, to say the least, but it works.

Transpontia's racial makeup is a real rainbow. Roughly: 25% northern European, 20% southern European, 20% Chinese and the remainder is a mosaic with subcontinental Indian, Arab and Caribbean making up the biggest pieces.

Religion: 83% atheist. That's the unifying factor. The remainder is respected and protected.

Outlook/style: We rock. We're one of the most pleasant countries in the world. While we have no interest in war, we still feel we ave a lot to offer the world. Our urban scene is liberal-north European, but wih a nice climate attached, so expect philosophical discussions in street cafes. Lots of cafes.

Western Alabama is a mix of the nineteenth century south, Turkey during Ottoman rule, the Balkans area, and Moscow Russia.

The Order of St John Hospitaller culls iots members from throughout the world. Most are European, although we have a number of Hispainic members and Filipinos. the only requirement is that you are a Catholic in line with the Holy See. The lingua fraca on Malta is German, Spainish, and/or Italian.
