The time has now come for The Island States to select a new President. After the overthrow of President Rick Rivera after his traitorous actions against the state, The Socialist/Communist Parties (united in Coalition) took power under General James Newman (Former Chief-of-Staff). Since the government needed to restructure itself, elections have not been held on a nationwide level for a long time. However, several opposition parties have recently called for an election, so they shall get it.
The current parties/candidates are:
Socialist/Communist Coalition - Incumbent President James Newman
Position: Strengthen the military, continued progress to make civil rights and political freedoms the highest they've ever been, continued stance for Allanean independence.
Isolationist Party - Asherton City Mayor Keith Patterson
Position: Withdraw TIS from the United Socialist Republic and the UnAPS, cut off all trade, eject all foreigners from TIS, drop out of the UN, maintain strict control of the South Haven Strait by keeping all foreign vessels from passing through.
Party for the Third Republic - Continental City Police Chief John Qwerty
Position: Return TIS to a Republic-style of government, withdraw TIS from the USR, restore the environment to pre-Imperialist quality, become proactive in defending weak nations from aggressive imperialistic nations, support Sentient Peoples takeover of Allanea.
The Race is now on.

In a stunning victory over the opposition parties, Incumbent President Newman won a whopping 80% over the other candidate's 10% each. The Island States will remain communist until the next time elections are held.
