A special Kordo News Network broadcast:

Camera cuts from the KNN logo to a very nervous reporter. The camera shakes as something explodes near the building.

Good evening ladies and gentleman. We have a disturbing report for you this tonight. Military elements apparently loyal to now imprisoned presidential advisor Will Kordo, cousin of President Jack Kordo II, have overrun large parts of the capital and the surrounding areas. They are believed to be attempting to rescue Will and place him in power. There are also unconfirmed reports of scattered reports of fighting going on near the border with Spilt-Milk. Will Kordo had assumed power briefly a few months ago while President Kordo was recovering from a still unnamed illness. Shortly after taking power, Will began actively involving Kordo in foreign policy. However, when he returned power to the recovered Jack Kordo, Jack quickly placed Will under house arrest and reversed the policies of Will.
Several government officials point to Will Kordo as one of the few advisors to our president who supported foreign involvement. He also was believed to have been the former leader of the Special Forces unit, Black Force, of the army. There is no word yet of the extent of the military uprising, but recent reports are that the rebellious troops are getting support from the civilians. The government has yet to make a statement on the uprising which is now in its second day, though one high-ranking official dismissed the rebellion as quote: “the threat is negligible.”

Official Presidential Statement:

Good evening citizens of Kordo. As many of you know, rebellious troops, under the command of my cousin, Will Kordo, have taken control of parts of the capital city. Also, the 1st fleet under the command of Admiral Lotam, hero of the conflict in Hadula, has been attacked by ships under control rebel control. Admiral Lotam and the other loyal captains of the fleet bravely stood their ground and smashed the enemy ships. President Jack Kordo II paused for a moment. I understand some of you are scared, wondering how and when this will end. But let me assure you, we will win and that the reports of the rebellion are greatly exaggerated. Even as we speak, loyal troops are taking control of the country. We will prevail, do not worry. As long as I live I will never give up. Never.

Somewhere of the coast of Kordo…

Admiral Lotam could not help but repeat in his mind the horrible tragedy that he and the three ships left under his command had just survived. He kept repeating the moment of the first attack, watching his own ships attack him. Lotam wasn’t sure how he and the other ships survived. Perhaps the traitorous captains had gotten bored, or maybe they were ordered to disengage, their damage already done. Whatever the reason they had stopped firing and Lotam quickly ordered his ships to leave the area, full speed. Lotam wasn’t sure what was going on. But if this rebellion was wide spread, Lotam doubted that the President could muster enough support to do anything about it….

Will Kordo looked around at the sunken bunker that was now his home. With his troops now in control of most of the nation it was time to make the statement the people needed to here the most. Will looked from his watch to the cameras arrayed in the dirty bunker. It was time.

Peoples of Kordo, my name is Will Kordo. I am the one, as you know doubt have heard, who is in command of the so-called rebellious forces in Kordo. What you do not know is that my forces are now in control of almost all but a small part of the nation. I have come to tell you that enough is enough! That it is time to through off the binds of tyranny and to rebel against to fascist government! That it is time to seize the freedoms that we so justfully and rightfully deserve! I here by dissolve the former government and found a new one in its place. We shall now be the Democratic Society of Kordo. I humbly request any and all freedom loving nations to send troops or supplies to help the true government of Kordo better establish itself. Thank you and goodnight

A small Blackhawk helicopter entered the airspace of Kordos capital city. Out of the clouds flew two more, and they watched the destruction from above.

Commander"Ok men, we have been sent here by the Emperor to help put down this rebellion in anyway we deem fit. We have 36 men on this, and that should be enough to protect the current President and take out this rebellious bastard. The BlackHawks will land not far from this Will after laying down some cover fire. We'll go down and deploy, standard Viper tactics. Group A will fire flashbangs and then go for the left flank. Group B will hit the center after the flashbangs go off. Group C will hit the right flank. Once the initial defense is broken you stay in your groups and surround the building and take out Will. No prisoners. Got that?"

Special OPS A"Sir yes sir!"

The BlackHawks flew down low, strafing the ground targets around the bunker and then getting a about two feet off the ground. Group A hit the ground first, firing the flashbangs from their modified weapons and then turning from the blinding flash. The flash went off and the group dashed to their positions and Group B began to fire upon the their dazed targets with accuracy. Group C meanwhile dashed to their target area firing where neccissary.

The BlackHawks lifted off the ground and began to circle the area to make sure their target didn't get away.

Will Kordo woke to the sound of gunfire in the bunker. He quickly grabbed a pistol and ordered his bodyguard to follow him. Coming to a heavy metal door a few levels down he stopped and turned to the bodyguard.

"I want you to go down the hall to the command center and activate the self-destruct. Set it for two minuets. That should be more than enough time for us to leave the bunker. After that is done follow this tunnel. I will be waiting for you at the end. Will ordered”

After making sure the bodyguard had turned the corner, Will went down the stairs to the next level and through a door. He locked the door behind him, and started going down the tunnel. Will would miss that particular bodyguard. He was a loyal soldier, one of the first to join his cause. But if he was captured before he could set the self-destruct, he could not give the yet unknown enemy any useful information about Will’s location. In fact, if the enemy troops followed the other tunnel, which ran in the opposite direction of the one he was now, they would run into some very nasty surprises.

President Jack Kordo looked at the map in front of him. After the news of the raid on the headquarters of the rebellion by allies of Kordo had broken, loyalist forces began to regain land recently lost to the rebels. However, the tide could once again go against them. Other nations had thrown their support behind the rebels or openly offered support to the highest bidder. Jack still wasn't sure if his troops would succeed, but he would find away to make the other nations pay....

Group A began to press foward as group C and B moved to surround the bunker. The group reached the doorway and through hand motions and unspoken words they advanced, two men at a time. They soon arrived to the main area in the bunker to be surprised by gunfire. The first man took four bullets from the top thigh to the mid chest area, causing him to fall back crying out in pain as the men took cover and dragged him to saftey.

They didn't get to finish off their foe before the bunker went up in flames, killing all inside. Outside the men ran for cover as large pieces of rock flew at them, catching some in legs and others in arms. One unfortunate man was hit in the head with a small pebble and killed instantly as it pierced his brain.

Once the initial blast went off the helicopters went in and landed, and the men made there way back to the choppers without further incident.

Mission Failed

In response to the failed mission Telliria decided to try a more direct approach.

Telliria announced today that 10,000 men would be sent into the nation to keep the peace. These 10,000 Elite Soldiers would be the vanguard for a larger force if Telliria found in neccissary.

The force is already moving and has a 50 F-15s and 50 F-16s. They are taking a route that takes them over less enemy terrain and will allow for the safetest drop, although this has not been announced to anyone. All Kordo knows is that friendlies are on the way.

The planes have been ordered to release men should the going get tough.

Will Kordo jumped at the knock at the door. He was still nervous after the raid on his former bunker. A scared looking private in his newly commissioned so-called ‘rebel’ army peeked in the door.

“Yes private?” Will asked.

“Well, erm, it seems that there are some developments.”

“Hmm…” replied Will now engrossed in the new constitution, “well I’ll take them. And you can just wait out there private. This hopefully won’t take long.”

Will took the report and opened it. What the?! Will thought to himself. So it seems those reports about Spilt-Milk troops fighting with loyalists troops near the border were true. That certainly was a surprise, but some how the demands weren’t. Telliria’s troop movements however, were. There hadn’t been any foreign troops on Kordo soil since the conflict with Spilt-Milk over three hundred years ago.

Some how I doubt the Loyalist government is that desperate. Though desperate times call for desperate measures. mused Will.

“Private!” called Will “Inform our contacts in the Spilt-Milk government that we accept their proposals, but that we would like to know of any major operations, so that we do not find ourselves fighting our allies.”

“And the Tellirian development?” asked the Private

Will rubbed his eyes “Right now we just don’t have the resources to do anything about that. If they move the troops into Kordo, I am afraid that we may lose this war for good…..”

Ooc: for future reference ‘loyalist’ troops are troops under the command of Jack Kordo and the former government. And to keep it simple the ‘rebel’ troops are surprise, surprise fighting for the rebels.

President Jack Kordo II could not be more pleased. He had just received word of the Tellirian proposal and had sent his thanks and acceptance. He had requested them to send their forces to the area bordering Spilt-Milk, where his Loyalist troops had meet surprisingly organized resistance.

If the Tellirian troops could deal with that area, it would allow many of my best units to move else where thought Jack. If things continued this way, I doubt that this rebellion will so short lived that it would barely make it into the history books. Though if I order it, I could make sure the rebellion would never be mentioned again.

Around 4 men died from complications, and the rest were fine. They packed up and moved to flank the enemy in the moutains and offer support. If they succeeded hear others would not have to send their children to die.

Jack Johnson, newly appointed comander the 42nd infantry, was having a supremly bad day. As the comander of the elite 42nd Infantry he was in charge of the 3 tanks and 2 M.A.A.M. (Mobile Anti Arcraft Missiles) that camealong with the troupe of roughly 250 men. Jack had recieved his orders directly from Emp. Debrowski about three days ago, he was to secure the costal areas that would soon be in Spilt-Milk's possesion. Emp. Debrowski's reasoning was that as long as Spilt-Milk was helping out somewhere in Kordo they were not reniging on they're deal. Jack felt otherwise, the sooner they finished this stupid war the sooner they could all go home and with their strong wepons capabilities (thanks to the coporate led military) they could end this war quite swiftly if they got the order.
While all this was going through Jack's head his radio crackled into action, "Sir....Telliria....overwhe...," it faded into static after that. "Damnit," shouted Jack, "I knew we couldn't just patroll these borders uncontested forever. He checked the cordinates of the messages origin on a hand-held G.P.S. unit. He turned around toward his encamped men, "Ok men we're going into battle," he paused, "For many of you this will be your first time for others this will be nothing new. But I want all of you to get in there and FIGHT FOR THE GLORY OF SPILT-MILK!" He then faced away from his troupes and let a long groan.

As the information began to flow in from Kordo, Foreign Minister Anton Schützer stifled another groan. This situation had already come to the attention of the Prime Minister; shortly, it would come to the attention of the Cabinet. He had to brief his Cabinet colleagues, and he had to give them the most current information. To this end, he had a policy of watching the feeds until the very last moment before he went in, which was what he was doing now. He switched off the TV , picked up the wedge of paper on the topic at hand, and with a sigh, straightened his tie and headed to the Cabinet Room.

The Cabinet Room was like many generic meeting rooms around the world. The table was a long, oaken construction, covered almost totally with green baize. At the Prime Minister's chair, the flag hung from a miniature flagpole, giving the splash of colour necessary to startle the entering visitor. The walls and chairs, like the table, were oaken, constructed in a neo-gothic style, magnificently worked into their arches and cathedral window shapes that reflected the light from the grey sky as it streamed sullenly in. When he arrived, they were all present, some of them just sitting down. His slides had been set out for him, as had the projector; all was ready. He coughed to gain attention, and then, with a nod from Jones, began.

"Gentlemen, in the last 40 hours have seen some very interesting activity in Kordo. From what we can gather, the situation is thus:
Early in the afternoon two days ago, fighting began to erupt in the country, in several isolated communities; it rapidly spread out of the area. The rebel leader is a cousin of the President, one Jack Kordo; the rebel leader is his cousin Will. Will's a pretty leftist character, judging by his rhetoric, and seems to bear a major grudge against Jack, who reversed all of Will's policies and imprisoned him after Will briefly had office." Schützer sipped his water and continued: "The rebels seem to be gaining the upper hand, for now, but we don't know how long that'll last. Currently they're receiving aid, while the Government aren't. Prime Minister, this might be a valuable opportunity to establish very good relations with a nation, providing us with yet more projective ability."
"Is that the assessment of you, or your staff?" asked Jones.
"Both, sir. The general feeling among the staff is that we can really do something good here. We can show up Fascism, we can appoint a very friendly Government, and we can show ourselves to be willing to support the freedom of people around the world." Jones nodded at this. He considered for a few moments, then turned to Kazakov, the Minister of Defence. "What can we move to aid them?"

Kazakov looked thoughtful.

"Well, there's the 105th Independent NI regiment. They're a good intervention force, can be ready to go within 24 hours. We haven't any Naval assets there at the moment, but we have...a Kuznetsov and a Kiev here, accompanying the 12th Battle-Cruiser Squadron on exercise." He pointed at the world map spread out on the wall. "With those ships, 12th is a pair of Tempests, a Kiev, a Kuznetsov, and ten escort ships, plus 5 oilers. Now we can get them on-station in about 12 hours, if you want, sir."
"Make it so."

President Jack Kordo's week had started great, with the Tellirian troops quickly responding to his acceptance. However, with the unconformed rumors of Spilt-Milk troops crossing into Kordo territory, and DontPissUsOff troops on the move, it had become a nightmare once again. His forces were taking heavy casulties and moral, which had been extremly high a few days ago, was now at rock bottom. While many, if not most of the people in Kordo supported him, many were simply just not as willing to die for their beliefs. If perhaps he could contain the area near the Spilt-Milk area, and avoid an all out war with them, he might be able to at least consolidate his position. However, he would never give up his position. They would have to drag his lifeless body from his office before he did.

The Tellirian forces met Spilt-Milk on two sides. The first was a direct hit up the middle, the second was a flanking tactic to the right side. With the momentum on their side they swept forward until they reached the main Spilt-Milk forces. Almost immediatly they fell back and regrouped, taking fair losses as they did so.

Regrouping about 1 hour after they had fell back they splintered into about 4 different forces. One on each flank. At first the rear flank would be left alone, however after the right, left, and center flank engaged the enemy the rear flank would use this time to do a sort of sneak attack. A little tired for their last fighting the plan had a few mistakes.

First the left flank was a little late in its attack, causing heavy damages to the right flank. Finally the rear flank attack group moved too far out and was taking too long to reach its target. There was now a high risk of the plan being discovered by enemy scouts, and the only thing Tellirian troops had going for them was better training.

Back home Telliria heard the news of rock bottom morale and decided that it would try a propaganda effort to raise morale. About a day later massive rallies were held and aired and world wide television of Tellirian soldiers and civillians marching and waving the flags of Kordo and shouting their support of the loyalist forces. It also showed showed Planith and Northern Scotland troops loading up in drop planes to be taken to the capital as a small defense force.

In total about 500 men will land in the capital and set up defenses. They will patrol and keep the peace. Note that a patrol for Tellirians usually includes helping the people with the daily grind and mixing with them, being friendly with them in general.

2,000 more Planith and Tellirian soldiers are preparing to fly off to the capital to help it, meanwhile the navy has been grouping together, possibly for action.

Whilst all this had been going on, the 12th Battle-Cruiser Squadron had been steaming for Kordo as rapidly as possible, with the (rather vulnerable) transports of the 105th Independent Regiment en route, some 16 hours behind them. The 105th's transports were only defended by four Udaloy-II and four Sovremennyy DDGs, and there were 18 transports in total. Nonetheless, it appeared to be working.

Meanwhile, the 12th steamed on, heading for Kordo's coastline, whilst a civilian news helicopter chugged overhead, transmitting back images to DPUO's news agencies. The state news duly put a rousing soundtrack - in this case Rule, Republic!, an altered version of Rule, Brtiannia!, and transmitted it back to Kordo. In between shots of the Battle-Cruisers and their various cohorts steaming majestically at 33 knots, there were films from training of the Naval Infantry, backed up by The Sacred War. As the trumpets let loose their call to battle, the propagandists felt confident that the Kordans would shake.

Since the post took me a really long time to write, let me summarize it for you all. Basically what I wrote is this: The Tellirian troops are given a very warm welcome, but as night falls they meet heavy resistance. Night belongs to rebels, day to Kordo, and Tellirian forces. Jack Kordo II doesn’t have the resources to organize a working relationship with Boram troops so they have been asked to sit still for the moment. He can’t do anything about Spilt-Milk because of the repercussions, economical and militarily of an all out war. DontPissUsOff forces he can’t do anything about though they are about to run into what remains of the military genius Admiral Lotam’s fleet and the 2nd carrier group. He has considered nuking everyone but decided against it. And as you can imagine by the size of the summery that the post was pretty long.

Admiral Lotam looked at the report that had come in. He had just come from a meeting with the captains of his fleet. He had now, under his control, every loyal ship. While some were still spread across Kordo waters, many had come to him. He and the fleet for the most part had been lucky. While moral was low in land-based units his fleet was flying high from several small victories over rebel ships. Lotam was in the process of combining his fleet to meet the unknown DontPissUsOff fleet. For days ships, either in their battle groups or by themselves had been appearing. With the massive fleet under his contol, including troops transports filled with loyal marines, he would be able to help the loyal forces considerably.

Ships in Admiral Lotam's fleet:
4 Aircraft Carriers
8 Cruisers
9 Destroyers
5 Attack Submarines
1 Battle Ship
14 Supply Ships; Various Jobs

ooc: I have no idea how big by forces should be so I just kind of guessed. I am hoping the fleet does not over do it.

We of the Federal Dutch Nations would like to see this terrible and unnecisary conflict stop as soon as possible. We are willing to organise a 2 day peace meeting between leaders of both camps, if this is not possible we could also try and compare the demands of the 2 camps and we will try and work out a solution. This solution will be presented to the two camps and the leaders should not be hesitant to propose amendments but they should realise the sooner that a deal is reached the sooner all the bloodshed will stop.

We would like to state that we will be totally neutral and will not chose one side over the other. Please respond as soon as possible.

Regards, the President of the Federal Dutch Nations.

President Jack Kordo II was very pleased. With two new nations pledging support, and the navy consolidating its position, he was very certain that he could destroy every last rebel. Of course, he would send some token delegates to the peace conference, if only to give his allies time to more troops in. If he was to win however, he needed to capture Will. He knew that if he killed Will without a trial, that Will would become a martyr to his cause…

The Black Force commander had been waiting for this chance since the reports of Will Kordo leading the revolt came out. To think that the man that had trained him was now a traitor made his blood boil. Well, now he would have his chance. Intelligence had just received information on Will Kordo’s position. He had specific orders not to kill or even injure Will, but the commander doubted this order would be obeyed. The man had killed thousands of his on people, if only indirectly.

The Special Forces team hit the ground running. They ran into only a few guards in the forested area, but this was to be expected. Will had taken to traveling with fewer guards and other personnel in order to attract less attention. With the perimeter secured his men burst into the small building killing anything that moved. One of the men found Will half dressed in a closet in the back. Apparently, Will did not have enough time to get to the cellar the troops would later discover. The commander drew his pistol at the sight of Will. Will oddly did not beg for his life, like many a man would do in his position. Wills eyes drilled into the commanders, as if looking into his very soul, and as if reading the commander’s mind.

“You do not have to do this.” Will began, “You know what my murder will do, that my supporters will turn me into a martyr and die in my name. That they will begin a war that I have tried to avoid. A war in which there is no difference between man and woman, soldier and family. A war were there are no winners, just losers.”

The commander’s gun hand began to shake as he heard the one thing he feared: the truth. He cocked the pistol.

“Please sir, not for me but for the people” Will’s eyes seemed to plead with him.

Suddenly the gun went off, and Will Kordo fell to the ground dead, with a bullet through his brain.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I am afraid I have some bad news for you all. We have just received some disturbing news; it appears that a small nuclear warhead was detonated in the city of St. James. It is not currently known who is responsible, but one government official said that rebel forces are believed to have detonated the weapon in which was recently was one of the more peaceful and loyal cities. At this time it is not known how they got such a weapon, however one high-ranking government speculated and was quoted as saying that “…it was probably those commies in DontPissUsOff.” We will bring you more information as we receive it.”

"Holy hell! Gound bloom in Kordo!"
"What? What kind?" asked the suddenyl extremely tense Colonel of the Space Forces as he bent over the technician's monitor.
"Unknown," she replied. "Machine's running it." She chewed on her pencil. The machine thought about the events it had seen for what was, by its' standards, a very long time, and then spat out its' findings with an almost sulky chatter from the printers. "Oh God," she muttered. "It was a nuke. Signature characteristic of small (10Kt or less) ground burst, probably from tactical nuclear warhead."
"My God. Any idea whose it was?"
"No information, sir."

The report of the detonation was relayed to the MoD and the Prime Minister, using the Lightning Clearance level, guaranteed to get instant passage to the Defence Minister, the Foreign Minister and the Prime Minister. The consensus was that the first thing was to find out whose the bomb was; but they had no way to communicate with Kordo, and thus could not make any verification. They decided that, pending discovery of who had detonated the bomb, the Naval forces moving to station should return to their posts; this would allow verification of the bomb's user and also allow reinforcement of the Naval contingent.

We wish to inform you that we did not supply the nuclear device detonated in one of your cities. We had no knowledge of the possession of nuclear weapons by either side. We do not know who employed the weapon, and thus are delaying any action.

A small note was brought to Emperor James. He took it and opened it, turning his chair around slowly and getting up, walking to his balcony to look down at the city below him.

"..Is it possible that Kordo sent off the bomb to gain support?"

He aide look shocked at the question as he realed back.

"W-well, m'lord, I don't know. I-Isn' that a little barbaric?"

The Emperor snorted.

"The world is not like Telliria. They kill their own people whenever they find it neccissary to get ahead politically, even if those people are their supporters. See now those people are maytrs. Many rebels may surrender or defect from the simply thought of their comrades setting off nuclear weapons to kill innocents. However we must not make assumptions. We will deploy scouts, spies, and special forces in the area. We'll get them in the rebel locations, in loyalist locations, among the townsfolk. We'll learn and then we'll decided."

He turned around and sat back down, his calm, clear blue eyes piercing the very soul of the aide.

"A truly wise decision my lord. I shall carry out your orders immediatly."

He placed his right hand, currently in a fist, over his heart making a quicky single beating sound and looking stright ahead. The salute of Telliria. He then left quickly.

No reply was given to the attack, Tellirian soldiers have gotten more aggressive and any rebels they capture they keep for themselves, questioning without help from Kordo.

“Any idea who detonated the blast?” Jack asked “Was it DontPissUsOff like that loud mouth suggested?’

“Well sir, as early reports indicated, it was definitely a controlled nuclear blast. Also, it appears that the nuclear material is from the nuclear enrichment plant on Catisca (southwest of Baile). However, we have repeatedly attempted to contact the base, and we have yet to receive a response. It is possible that the base has been compromised.”

Time was working against them. There was little chance of any kind of an attack on the Kordoan Fleet succeeding without sufficient force in the area, and that force was lacking. Rear-Admiral Taverner knew this. He could strip the base's protection, 8 juliett-II SSGs and five Kilo diesel submarines, but that would leave it dangerously exposed. However, he had no choice. his ships still needed to reprovision, and he was confident that they could hold the base in any case. Thus, with a heavy heart, he ordered the submarines to proceed north, and if possible attack the Kordoan units. If his cruise-missile boats could destroy or cripple enough of the forces, he could gain the upper hand; he knew all too well that the crews of Furious and Redoubtable would dearly love to use their main armament on a surface ship.

Of the 13 subs available, all eight Juliett-IIs and four of the Kilos prceeded from their port. They were spread out in a wide, convex arc, the Kilos at the front, moving slowly and quietly towards the Kordoan ships on their stealthy electric motors.

Admiral Lotam looked at the reports. Satellite photos showed much of the navel units berthed at the base preparing to leave. However, the satellite photo had moved out of the area before the ships had moved. That meant that Lotam’s fleet could now run into an ambush by up to 13 submarines, not to mention whatever other ships were sent out. Lotam ordered air units to check the area, but they had yet to sight anything. Lotam had to hope that either the fleet had left the area completely or was still in the port still unaware.

ooc: oh, aye. Sorry :)

IC: K-184 was a Juliett-II deisel guided missile submarine. Sent out from the small island base 44 hours before, she now plugged through the oceans just below the rough, wind-whipped surface, the long snort feeding air to her diesel engines poking out above the water along with her ESM mast. Her captain paced along his bridge, chewing nervously on his lip. Two damn days we've been at sea, and not a thing to see or hear. He hated this part of his work. His sibmarine was quiet as the grave when she ran on her electric motors, but now her batteries demanded to be recharged, and that meant that she had to sit just below the surface, running on those damned noisy diesels, a sitting duck to anything listening for her.

In the submarine's long, low sail, the great fin-like construction sprouting from her hull, the ESM operators kept their eyes glued to their instruments. There were, so far, mercifully few contacts, just a few I- and J-band search radars, probably from aircraft in the distance. At least in this weather the chances of someone spotting the snort visually were to say the least low. The anvil-like clouds overhead and the driving wind and spray kept the snort nicely invisible, even if it meant that the diesels occasionally spluttered as water ran down into them. Of course, the sonar operators hated it. The noise of the waves crashing about above obscured the sonar picture, making their lives exceedingly difficult. Suddenly, the tension on the bridge peaked.

"Captain, new contact bearing 023. I-band radar, probably surface-search."

The helicopter swept over the ocean, just one of the many searching for the enemy fleet. The captain was debating whether or not to stay in the air with such a bad storm going on, when the report came in.

"Sir! Submerged contact, search grid alpha omega. Sensors are having trouble getting a reading but it appears to be a submarine." A crewman called.

"Any our subs in the area?"[ he asked, and got a a shake of the head.

"Very well, alert the fleet, then try to get a better reading. I want to know as much as possible when the back-up arrives.

KS Terror, Fleet Flagship

Admiral Lotam looked at the report. With every report he was getting a better picture of his enemy's stategy. If he was the base commander, he would have sent his submarines out, spread over the area the fleet was most likely to come from. He would then give his subs free reign to do as much damage as possible, hopefully scaring away the fleet. Whether or not Lotam's enemy would follow that stratagy remained to be seen, but it was all he had to go on. He turned to the crewman manning the radio.

"Order Hunter Group One to counter the sub threat. I want to see if the ships can do what they were trained to."

The commander of the search helicopter swore. He had lost the contact for a while, and he knew that was a bad thing. That mean't either that the storm was interfering with the haphazard equipment added to the helicopter to help it in its new job, or that what he presumed to be a submarine, had just dived. Either way he had no way of tracking her, which mean't she may be able to escape by the time the hunter group arrived. It also mean't that there was at least one active submarine in the vacinity of the Kordo fleet, which was nearing maximuim range for its fighters.

Rebel Commander Linda Martes, and former lover of President Jack Kordo II, was not a happy women. The turbulent waters above were gradually returning to a state of placid normality. B-184's crew were happy with that. As the pounding of the waves died away, the noise of distant surface ships was audible more clearly. The sonar operators listened intently, passing instrutions to the Captain. After 3 hours of patient listening and waiting, the picture was still unclear, but it was getting better. The Captain was sure that there was at least one aircraft carrier out there, and maybe four or five escorting ships for her. He ordered the submarine to antenna depth.

The commander of Air Group One was very happy. His particular group of the fleet was in charge of taking one of the outer most islands that surrounded the main island. The island was one of the primary radar locations for the base. If it succeded it would mean that the main fleet could strike at anytime without the enemy knowing when. There had been some scattered reports of submarine activity in the general vicinity, but he was confident his three destroyers could keep the rest of the group safe.

"Ahh...got you. Got you, you big, ugly bastard. Yes." The ESM Operator marked down the radar contacts, and the computer that it was tied into computed a rough range for them based on signal strength. According to the ESM and sonar profiles, the nearest ship, a destroyer, was a scant 21 kliometres away, well within the range of the 12 cruise missiles stored within B-184's hull. The sumarine dived to 230 metres, running at 7 knots, closing the range. Seventeen thousand metres to go.

Senators of Sarrowquand, it pains me to call for a secret meeting but the information about to be shared must remain confidential at all costs.

You are all aware of the situation in Kordo, and of the increased interests that the larger nations are taking, this conflict can only result in the redefinition of other more imperialistic nations boundaries and perhaps result in expansionistic policies.

This will have dire consequences for are recently formed nation. Though not in our region we calculate a 75% chance of a domino effect which will engulf neighbouring nation states.

If the Loyalist forces regain control we believe that they will misdirect the public by expanding the kingdom - An external war footing of course aids a nations unity and attacking weaker states provides wealth.

If the rebels are victourious it is our prediction that the loyalist 'allies' will intervene and divide the country, military actions in the area will dramaticaly increase and we will be at risk.

This is why we must endevour to increase the lengh of this civil war for as long as possible; and by ant means neccesary.

Needless to say what has been disscussed here is extremely sensitive and confidential, the senate manuscripts for this meeting must not fall into the wrong hands.

First Speaker Julian Etchells- People of Sarrowquand; firstly as you are intrinsically aware the Council is required always to meet in public, this has always been the case and has always held. There have been no secret meetings.

As regards to the second issue it is true that we have received warnings from foreign powers with interests in Kordo and it’s civil war. These warnings are based on fabricated documents supposedly referring to a fictitious intervention into Kordo territory.
There are no troops within Kordo claimed territory; no black ops operations are currently underway in this region. The information is false…….

The television suddenly turned off removing the room’s only light source, seven shadows shifted as dark figures moved in to form a circle.

“Speaker Etchells appears to have appeased the crowd.”
“Indeed, but he was always an excellent speaker and leader.”
“Do we know who leaked the information yet?”
“No we do not, however it seems obvious that there is a traitor on the council possibly even in this room”

There was a slight rustle as heads turned to regard one another, though in the darkness the reaction was a useless gesture.

“That cannot distract us from our goal”
“Agreed is our team in position”
“Yes, it appears the loyalist fleet is launching an assault on the rebels. It was decided that the most effective counter would be to mine several of the ships”
“Then we shall reconvene later. Oh and speakers, any traitor will be found”

"At depth, zero-three-zero metres."
"Very well. Open missile tubes."
At the four missile stations in the submarine's hull, the thick caps atop the cylinders began to swing up and outwards. The sub slowed to three knots, and waited.
Tick, tock. Tick, tock...
"Launch all tubes! Flood ballast tanks!" The crewmen held on as twelve SS-N-27 anti-ship missiles soared upward from their containers, pushed from the tubes by compressed air charges. As the shock rang as a shudder through the ship, her ballast tanks took in water. B-184 crash-dived rapidly, regaining stability at 200 metres below the surface, as the twelve missiles settled onto their course, skimmin g the sea towards the Kordoan carrier.

All at once the alarms aboard the Kordoian ships lighted up. At first, the men were slow to their stations believing that it was simply another drill. But the captain of the carrier was quick to realize the situation.

“All men to battle stations! Engage electronic countermeas-”

The rest of his sentence was cut short as the first missile hit the bridge dead on. The rest of the missiles hit the rest of the ship in rapid succession, the explosion of the last knocking the attack helicopter that had been launching out of the sky. The other ships stunned and confused were slow to react. They much time passed before an organized search began, do to the fact that the carrier had been the command ship and that two destroyer captains had been on the carrier at the time of the attack. And when they did, the sub had slipped out on the area….

President Jack Kordo II looked up at the knock. “Yes General Winters?”

The unusually tall general closed the door and took a seat. “Sir, I as you know, have been ordered to act as the official coordinator between our forces and the Borman troops near the Spilt-Milk border. Well sir, their men are eager for battle and are almost ready to start fighting the rebels with or without our permission.”

Jack looked up. “I am not in the mood for jokes General Winters.”

General Winters shook his head. “I wish I was Mr. President. However, I suggest that either we ask them to leave, or we use them.”

“You have a plan I assume?”

“Yes sir.” Replied Winters. “I suggest we place them here,” He pointed to the map of Kordo on the wall. “to New Dublin. What I suggest is that we not only use them to pacify the resistance there, and to free up our troops their, but to suggest that they are being used as international peacekeepers. This hopefully will give the appearance to any nations that support the rebels that we have the international community on our side.”

Jack smiled. “An ingenious plan General Winters. I will leave you and your staff to finish the details, and then you may implement it at your digression.”

"Direct hit! Has to be a hit!" breathed the Senior Sonar Operator as he listened to the rumbling detonations from the impacting missiles. "Well, that'll give them a bloody nose to remember us by!" A cheer rang through the submarine. Someone struck up the national anthem as the submarine proceeded away from the carrier group. At 22 kilometres she came up to periscope depth. The Captain watched the carrier through his periscope, smoke billowing from her wounded hull.

Admiral Lotam's day had gone well considering. Of the four outer islands he had dispatched ships to, only one had presented any trouble, though it had cost the fleet a carrier. Considering some of his officials suggested that the fleet would by the end of the day, would be in control of two, fighting heavily for another, and completly thrown off the other. If things went accorrding to plan, they would be in control of most of Catisca within 72 hours.

"It is time, I think," said Admiral Valery Iltchenko over his mug of tea. He looked at the map with his comrades. "The enemy carrier was definitely destroyed. A satellite pass over the loaction of the group showed no carrier-size objects. There were only the escorts. The next EORSAT pass found no tranmissions from the carrier or any of her aircraft, and picked up several from ASW helicopters. We don't think they got whatever attacked her, though," concluded the Commodore (Submarines) smugly.
"What do you have to use," asked Iltchenko.
"Eight Juliett-IIs. The nearest to the carrier force is B-184, which we think executed the attack."
"Make him a Red Banner," ordered Iltchenko.
"Already done, comrade. Now, we also have eight Kilos patrolling in the area of the group. Only B-184 was close enough to execute an attack, however. We can group them, but it will take time; they're not due to report in, in most cases, for another four hours, and we would have to be very careful in ensuring transmission security." The Commodore sighed.
"Worry ye not, comrade. We can defeat them yet. We have just destroyed a carrier. Is that not a good victory for our forces?"
"Yes, I suppose so."

Iltchenko turned to his Commodore (Surface Forces).

"What of our surface fleet?"
"It is ready, comrade Admiral," replied the Commodore (Surface Forces). "We have our strength gathered. The elimination of that carrier has left a hole in their Fleet security, which we can exploit. We can use our aircraft from carriers to provide a blanket of air security over our capital ships, and once we can get the guns of the two battlecruisers on them...well, they're finished."
"So you're confident of a victory if we attack now?" asked Iltchenko.
"Yes. If what out intelligence tells us is correct, there is now, as I said, a hole in their air umbrella over their Fleet. Furthermore, most of it is engaged in amphibious operations. We on the other hand can dedicate all our firepower to forcing away that one fleet, the one whose carrier we just killed. We can land our forces on the island under cover from our main forces, then keep them there whilst the main fleet destroys the remaining enemy ships."

Iltchenko considered.

"Alright, comrades. We know what we must do, if only to give the rebels a chance. The odds are stacked against us, but we must risk all nonetheless. Prepare your ships for sea. Dismissed." The men filed out. Iltchenko sat, silent, in his chair, staring at the chart.
Who am I to gamble the lives of these men? They trust me. They will follow me into battle, into death's face.

Who am I to gamble with them?

A Special KNN Broadcast

Good evening, we just have recieved word of a broadcast by President Jack Kordo II. As it is just about to begin, let us go there now:

[i]Good evening ladies, gentlemen, and especially to all loyalist troops and those under the flag of the Borman Empire. I have some very good news for you all. Just hours ago, my government as made arrangments for troops of The Volunteer Guard to join our troops in battle. They are sending roughly 50,000 troops in 50 Divisions to aid are cause. Most will participate in ground actions in and around the capital city. The rest have been assigned to the 'prision' camps, and will guard the rebels held there. This will increase our ability to combat the rebels dramatically. So over the next few days, as these new allies arrive, let us welcome them with open arms. I have never let all of you down Kordo, please, as time continue to support the true government. And as you continue this hard struggle remember the words of the founder of Kordo: "To sacrifice everything for the one true cause is not a sacrifice at all."

ooc: the prision camps are also where many rebel supporters are executed for their traitorous beliefs

The howitzer shuddered as a shell was released, smashing into a rebel building. As the town began to awaken they found enemy tanks already there.

The tanks were in a losse line in front of the town. It was obvious to see 2 small groups coming in on the side. Only the back would be an escape route.

Rebels ran out of houses, some only half dressed. They held AKs in hand and began to yell as they charged to take the defense.

The rebels were heading towards their make-shift bunkers and trenches.

The second the first rebel rounded a corner the corer of teh building as well as the rebel blew up.

The tanks slowly edged forward as the rain beghan to fall. It was near 11:00 and besides the fires and gunfire there was no light.

Howitzers pounded rebels as the tanks slowly charged forward, churning the fields beneath them to mud.

Eventually numbers came to the side of the rebels and they were able to push out of the streets and allys to the trenches.

As rebel cannons and guns began to open up so did the tanks. Doors slammed into the ground, splattering mud everywhere as soldiers charged out of the Bhalk-34s.

The rebels were almost outnumbered 2-1, without counting rebel fores inside the town.
-----------------------

John sat in the diner playing cards. His Ak hung loose at his houlder as he fondled the trigger on his handgun.

"Ha, I have a-"

THe door burst open as a rebel soldier came in.

"We're under attack, Borman forces."

John flicked off the safty on his desert Eagle, looted from a dead man.

"Viva La Freedom!"

John shot the rebel in the head as the sleepy little diner awoke. It was secretly known by all in the loop that this was a strong loyalist Diner. Rebels who came did not leave.

The operator opened a false wall near the back revealing stacked AKMs, AK47s, and several XM8s.

"For Kordo!"
---------------------------

"Sir."

"Why did you wake me?"

"We are under seige. Borman has sent an army more than twice our size. They come knocking on the gates and so far the deaths are estimated in the lower thousand(s). And to make matters worse the Loyalist soldiers are now attacking more fiercely. And to further complicate matters several pockets have erupted in our territory. SOme of our soldiers have even begun to help the enemy."

"S--T! We are of no use here, order a retreat."
----------------------------

A rebel stood at the dirt road, now mud, leading out of town. His poncho was more ornamental than anything as rainwater seeped through it and all through his body. He shook as his limbs numbed and his grip on his gun loosened. An AK was held loosly in his hand. The other one waved soldiers and rebel sympathizers out the back road.

"Lets move, move!"

Suddenly he stopped, and fell.

Soldiers looked about wild eyed, the enemy hadn't reached here yet, or had they?

Suddenly men erupted form foxholes on the side of the road. TO further back them up the looming hulks of tanks were silouheted approaching down the road. Trees fell as tanks came out and positioned their turrets on thick groups of rebels. Shells were fired and instantly more than half the rebels there were dead.
---------------------------

"Sir."

"What is it now!?"

"The backroad has fallen."

"WHAT!?"

"Soldiers were already there, it was no use."

"What about the sides?"

"Tank groups on the side, trying to flee there would be suicide."

"How many?"

"Reports are of confirmed deaths of over half the force."

"So we surrender or fight to the last."
----------------------

The soldiers had quicly charged, their SACS keeping them dry and safe. They over ran major Rebel artillery and quickly fled back.

The tanks had still been going, slower but going. The walkways had risen several feet off the ground so as not to drag but not to hamper progress.

Soldiers quickly jumped back in the tanks, even though they were dry they were happy to be out of the rain.

The tanks then proceeded forward at full speed with the back doors at half way.

The tanks rolled over the trenches and whatever rebels stupid enough to stay in. THe majority had fled when the tanks were within stones throw. Most of them were cut down.
------------------------

"Whats our situation?"

"The front lines have fallen. Enemies are closing in on all sides. Confirned deaths are more than half the force. We have roughly 10,000 here. The other 10,00 are unaccounted for, maybe dead, maybe captured, maybe trapped, mayb-"

The bullet silenced him as the rebel general held the resounding gun. He then positioned the gun in his mouth.

Should I do it?

OOC: I hope you don't mind me controlling your men. If you dont like something, say so. I didn't know if you wanted the general dead so I left that for you to finish.

Roughly 100,000 Borman soldeirs closing in on all sides. Roughly 30,000 loyalist forces with Borman and inside rebel lines.

The rebel general of the New Dublin forces looked at the picture of his wife and young children. He decided it would be easier for then to take his death, something his wife had worried about since he joined the rebellion. Better for them to think that he had been killed defending his honor, then having them see him on trial. He picked up the picture one last time, kissed it, and then.....pulled the trigger.

General Linda Martes, with the loss of New Dublin's commanding officer, was now the supreme commander of all rebel troops in Kordo and the highest-ranking officer. She alone commanded the power of the rebel forces, and if necessary she was willing to sacrifice herself for the cause. But, like so many commanders in history, the good and bad, she was faced with the problem of sending soldiers possible to their deaths. When she had originally joined the rebellion, while she was a major financer of the insurrection, she asked for a beginning officer rank. She had wanted to know what it was like to fight like a soldier before she commanded large numbers of them.

Yet even then her unit, like so many in the rebellion had little contact with the main command structure. The men and women in the unit would decide together what to attack, making the loss of them slightly easier to take. Now, the men she commanded would have little say in the battles they fought. No say in the way they died, or even what city they died. Martes knew she just couldn’t think about it, yet she couldn’t help feeling even partly responsible.

Oh the rebel forces consist of two parts: 1. A very army like set-up, mostly made up of former troops and traitorous troops. Commanded by General Linda Martes
2. Mostly civilian forces with little contact with the main rebel command structure, usually in cell like groups. Martes used to command one of these units

Note: Please no one kill General Linda Martes, as I plan to use her to help eventually end the conflict.

He expected the rebel leader, who ever it was, to come crawlling on his belly begging for forgiveness. Well for once he might get it. Jack thought. The rebels, though mostly defeated, still posed a threat to the unity of his nation. He might have to make some consetions to them. But before he did, he was going to make them pay. President Jack Kordo II's week was still improving. With official DPUO pullout, it affectivly left the rebels without any allies. Already many of the unorganized rebels were turning their weapons in, hoping to get some sort of amnasty. Jack wasn't sure if he would do so, but he was leaving it open ended for the time being, in order to get a better picture of the rebel forces. So, for the most part all that was left was the main rebel group, 'The Corporation' to deal with. He didn't have a finalized plan, but he did have an idea. Jack would offer a large bounty for the capture of the leader, who he now knew as Linda Martes, his former wife. He would then deal with her at a later time, whether that mean't killing her, puting her on trial, or even arranging a marrage, what ever it took to keep his nation unified.

The liberal rebellion was not all bad however. It made him realize some fundemental flaws in his governing technique, some of which he was just realizing. Such as the neccessity of involvment in foreign affairs inorder to strengthen the right form of governing, or the need to listen to the people, if only slightly. Take the exacutions of the liberals he had ordered. He had rescended that order, so not to reinflame the anger of the people. Jack realized that just because he saw the minorities as the scum they were, a majority of the Kordoian people did not. He would have to listen to his people more often...

Rebel Commander Linda Martes looked at the battle plans. Her forces, while losing badly in the rest of the country, had quietly been moving to Kordo City over the last few days. Soon, with many of the Loyalist troops in Kordo City now on the lands around the lake, she would try to take the capital city. She knew her forces would be defeated, but hopefully they could force the government to make concessions to the rebel forces. Linda estimated that she could raise a force of about 60,000 men and women. Compared to the Loyalist force of roughly 30,000 men, she felt she could win. The main problem was making sure that the Loyalist forces could not ge reinforcements. That mean't capturing or destroying the two bridges and the 5 airports, two military and three comercial. She already had teams planting explosives on the bridges, though that was a last resort.

The Loyalist commander snorted at the intelligence report he had received from the Kordo Intelligence Agency (KIA). He had always had a lot of respect for those people but this was crazy. A resurgence in rebel activity? A plot to blow the bridges? Where did they get this stuff? (Semi-Secret)

Richard Jo’ha, commander of the terrorist arm of the rebellion, looked at the newspaper that had just been handed to him. A one out of seven success ratio wasn’t spectacular; however considering it was the first time his ‘troops’ had been used, it was not bad. All things considered perhaps it was just as well they failed. It meant they had done just enough to make the public fear them, but little enough that the Loyalist forces would not take major steps to crush them. Most of the men under his control were former special-ops troops. They were the best of the best in the Kordoan Army, and they were the best troops fighting for the rebellion. However, they lacked experience on the ‘other’ side.

The next operation Richard had planned was much more spectacular. He had bribed several guards at the Kordo City Military Airport, which was currently in Loyalist hands. He had received word from them that apparently Borman troops had been scheduled to land there in the coming days. His plan called for the using of two of his ten man cells to be involved. One would be disguised as guards, and would be charged with securing the control tower and the security center. They would also let the second cell onto the airport grounds. The second cell would then attack the Borman troops as they exited their planes. The mission was not so much to cause casualties as it was to send a strong message to the Borman government and people. It would remind them of what would happen if their troops stayed in Kordoan territory. Never mind that Richard didn’t have the resources to carry more large-scale attacks for some time. It was all about what his opponent believed he could do, nothing else.

ooc note: you don’t find this out directly, but your men could for example notice one of the Kordoan guards looking a little suspicious or the like.

Half the force was to come across bridges and the other hald was to arrive in 3 airports.

If it were not for the Borman logo slapped all over the planes, Kordoans (sp?) might have thought an invasion was happening.

28-10-2004, 22:01
Richard Jo’ha watched the Borman planes land in one of the smaller airports. The Kordoan Government had only informed the public about Borman planes landing here, and so the crowds of eager Kordoans swarmed around the airport, their numbers in the thousands. At first, Richard had wondered why the government had purposely miss lead the public and told them Borman troops would land here. Then he realized the government’s plan. Informing the public of the Borman troop’s arrival would raise moral, and telling the public to come to this small airport would allow the main force of Borman troops to disembark and deploy easier without worrying about crowds of eager citizens slowing them down. It didn’t matter to him either way. His source had told him where the Borman troops were going to land shortly after they decided themselves.

IC Semi-Secret:

Kordo City Military Airbase
The security guard looked up from their security consoles as the door to the Security Center opened, revealing three Kordoan soldiers.

“Can I help you gentlemen?” asked the guard.

The leader of the soldiers just smiled and replied, “Yes, you can. You can stand up and get against the wall.”

The guard laughed and looked at the clock. “Sorry boys, change of shifts isn’t for another fi-”

He was cut short by the bullet that inconsiderately lodged itself in his throat. The three soldiers, moved quickly into the center, and were joined by two more soldiers that had been watching the halls for approaching foot traffic. The leader of the group sat in one of the chairs, and typed a few commands into the computer. And, as by magic, one of the screens showed a gate open, and a truck with Kordoan Army markings drove into the airport grounds.

ooc: if you didn’t guess those soldiers are actually terrorists as are the ones that just entered the grounds. As for the ‘rebel motion’ it’s basically making your hands into fists then crossing your arms over your chest.

THe plane wheels screeched as they came to land on the strip. Soldierds walked about grabbing weapons and more preparing to come off of ther plane.

The door went down and several tanks rolled out followed by a stream of men. These would secure the area for more planes to land.

The terrorists in the Security Center quickly took in the security in the airport via the security cameras. A good number of Borman troops were still of the tarmac, having just arrived. They also noted the good number of Kordo troops in the tarmac area, and guessed that their pseudo-troops would go unnoticed. The commander of the mission ordered his men in the van towards the tarmac with orders to find a location nearby. Then, when the time was right, they would strike, doing as much damage as possible. Then, he and the other men in the Center would head towards the tarmac themselves, as if running to help. They too would sacrifice themselves for the greater good of the people.

ooc: yes their are some rebels disguised as Loyalist troops on the run way, and in the airport security center they just took over.

IC:
The leader of the rebels on the tarmac nodded to his men. He flicked of the safety of his XM-8 and headed for the largest mass of Borman troops in the area. He could see his men doing the same, spreading out to do the most damage possible.

John Bradly's nostrils flared as a horrible smell of BO hit his nose. Then he saw some kordo soldiers marching about. He quickly gave the resistance symbol to some of the men. (If they dont do it say so). Several men instinctivly replied with the symbol.

"REBELS!!!!"

XM8s came to fire as rebels were quickly slaughtered. But it was not none how many more were rebels. Only a score of bodies lay on the runway.

"Get together, NOW!"

Guns were aimed at the kordo soldiers as Bormans refused to move untill they were all grouped together.

Message from Cactus Jack Foley:

The People's Republic of Wrescal Lane will send 5 million soldiers to Kordo to help the country fight the rebels. We have already sent 975 of our Task Force Team. That leaves 1,000 more if you want some more.

*The task force arrived in Kordo to go to their base. however on thier way they were attacked by some rebels. 60 Members were on the squad that was attacked. 28 died.*

ooc: I'm going to be nice WL and not ignore you perminently, just that post and any more IC posts in this thread. The rebellion is winding down, and I have no desire to add more nations. Also, your post represents the worst of n00b rp'ing. You just don't post that you come in and kill these people. First, you ask if the govenment wants help, how much your willing to send, and ask for a response. After I give you the okay to join, then you can post that info. However that is hypothetical since I'm ignoring your IC posts for the remainder of this rebellion. And please don't take this personally.

The rebel commander in the Security Center watched as his men were slaughtered like animals, cut down in a hail of atomatic gun bullets. He turned to his men and motioned for them to leave. It would be pointless now for them to attempt to keep this mission going.

A KNN Special Broadcast

[i]We have some breaking news to report tonight. As of two hours ago, Linda Martes and ten other top rebel officials turned themselves in after a agreement with the government was made. The rebel commanders will not be charged, unless their is evidence they played a part in the recent terrorist attacks or the nuclear blast. Also, the government has promised amnasty to all rebels who turn themselves in to loyalist forces within two weeks. Any who do not, will be quote "dealt with accordingly."

ooc: the terrorism will continued in a new, soon to be appearing thread. Sorry to end it so quickly.
