Assault Rifles
M2022A1 Assault Rifle (http://www.norrkoping.bonet.se/rad/guns/A_New_Rifle3.jpg)
The M2022A1 Assault Rifle is the gem of the Parlimian Armed forces. The design is very loosely based upon the M-16 rifle of old. There are, however, considerable differences. The M2022A1 Rifle, like most Parlimian fire arms, is energy based. It is powered by a rechargeable battery that is good for around forty shots (depending on the battery, soldiers have been know to modify them to give them more shots or more stopping power). The battery condenses energy into a tightly packed area and discharges it, releasing an extremely dangerous ball of energy, about the size of a table tennis ball. These energy balls can slice through just about anything except hardened targets and are known to cause third degree burns on those who aren't killed by it. The rifle can sling out energy balls at about 950 RPM, though full automatic causes considerable recoil. The weapon comes stock with a x8 Digital Scope (which has nightvision, infared, and starlight viewing modes, plus the ability to take pictures), an ammunition ticker (based upon energy left in the battery, not pictured) and a self-destruct device. The bottom barrel and rear battery are reserved for the heavy energy cannon, ideal for wiping out lightly armored vehicles, though it takes up an extreme amount of energy and causes an uncomfortable amount of recoil. The rifle itself has a long range, before the energy dissipates.
Overall length: 991 m.m. (39.016 inches for those on the Imperial System)
Barrel length: 463 m.m. (18.228 inches)
Weight, empty / loaded w. battery: 2.8kg / 3.8 kg (6.1lbs/8.3lbs)
Battery capacity Rifle/Heavy Weapon: 40/4

Firing Modes: Single Shot; Three Round Burst; Full Automatic
Submachine Guns
M090 Special Forces Submachine Weapon (http://www.norrkoping.bonet.se/rad/guns/Sternmeyer_BMS.jpg)
A compact energy submachine gun created especially for Special Forces and Recon Units. The M090 (Dubbed "Moo") is built with an integral flash & noise suppressor (though it can do nothing to stop the bright light emitted by the energy balls), a forward grip for extra control, ammunition ticker, and a x8 Scope with the standard features (not pictured). Its high-powered battery allow for extended firing.
Length: 685 m.m (34 inches)
Barrel Length: 227 m.m. (8.9 inches)
Weight, empty/loaded: 2.61 kg/2.98 kg (5.7lbs/6.5lbs)
Rate of Fire: 850 rpm
Battery Capacity: 50 Shots
Maximum effective range: 341 Meters (1118.4 ft)
Firing Modes: Single Shot; Three-Round Burst; Full Automatic
SAW
Rainmaker M8710 SAW (http://www.norrkoping.bonet.se/rad/guns/Sternmeyer_HM72.jpg)
A four-barreled rotating weapon, provides intense covering and suppressing fire for military squads. Due to recoil, it is impossible to fire this weapon from a standing position, without its special harness. The harness is built into certain suits of Parlimian Marine Armor. The Rainmaker is connected to the armor through a series of electronics and advanced hydraulics, which allow the wearer to fire the weapon with easy, from any position.
Length: 1243 m.m. (48.9 inches)
Length of barrel(s): 550 m.m. (21.6 inches)
Weight Empty/Loaded: 12.5 kg/13.7 kg (27.5lbs/30.1lbs)
Rate of Fire: 1500-2300 rpms
Battery Capacity: 100 or 500 Shots
Maximum effective range: 1130 meters (3706.4 ft)
Firing Modes: Full Automatic
Anti-Tank/Armor
"Thumper" Heavy Anti-Armored Target Platform (http://www.norrkoping.bonet.se/rad/guns/RadTech_Missile_Launcher.jpg)
The Thumper is an interesting design, indeed. It comes in two varients, one that fires conventional rockets, with high yeild warheads, and one that isn't so conventional. The latter fires solid steel cylinders at high velocities, upon impact, they are moving fast enough to puncture a tank's armor without killing the crew (unless one is in the way). Both have found widespread use planetside.
Sidearms
Nemesis M3133 Automatic Pistol (w/ additional Grip) (http://www.norrkoping.bonet.se/rad/guns/A_New_Pistol1b.jpg)
Nemesis M3133 Automatic Pistol (w/out grip) (http://www.norrkoping.bonet.se/rad/guns/A_New_Pistol1.jpg)
A new pistol to be adopted into the Parlimian Armed Forces, the Nemesis M3133 Automatic Pistol has already proven its worth. It is durable, compact, lightweight, and packs a heavy punch. Like most Parlimian Weapons, it is also energy based. The Pistol itself comes in two forms, one with a grip which contains an ammunition ticker and a laser sight and second with a longer barrel and more stopping power. The first is ideal for close combat and urban fighting, while the other is made for non-urban environments (the formers stats will be displayed). Both variants have found extensive use in different branches of the Armed Forces, while their civilian counterparts are highly popular.
Overall Length: 183 m.m. (7.2 in)
Barrel Length: 112 m.m. (4.4 in)
Weight Empty/Loaded: 701g/760g (24.7 oz/27.8 oz)
Battery Capacity: 21 Shots
Maximum effective range: 130 meters (426.4 ft)
Firing Modes: Full Automatic; Single Shot (Ambidextrous Grip)
Military Equipment
Individual Armor Unit

The Individual Armor Unit (IAU) is a lightweight and durable armored suit issued to each and every infantryman in the Parlimian Marines. It is designed to deflect both kinetic force, and energy from most energy-based weapons. Its outer-coating is made of a special super non-conductive material, which is designed to dissipate energy attacks, while the bottom layer is made from a reactive armor composite, which disperses the kinetic force from the shot around the entire armor unit, stopping the round and blunting the trauma upon the wearer. The IAU has so far proved very successful in its intended role of protecting infantrymen and marines. It comes in several different variations and camouflages, including (but not limited to): a Sealed Version (for combat in space or in a dangerous atmosphere), a SAW Version (Picture 2), and a Sniper Version (lighter, with a extended camouflage, but less protection).
Space Vessels
Note: Weapons systems range from Class "A" to "F", where "A" is the weakest and "F" is the strongest. Weapons are proportional to the class that carries them (for example, a Fighter Type A Pulse Cannon would be weaker than a Corvettes Type A). The more powerful classes require more of a recharge/reload time. Parlimian ships traditionally operate under the assumption that less is more, so instead of may weak guns, most ships have a few extremely heavy weapons, which allow more damage, faster (in the Navy’s eyes). Parlimian ships are also a model of autonomy, where hardened computer systems control much of the ships function, while crewmembers go about other, more important duties. Because of that, the protection of a ships computer systems is extremely high, in every ship, making it near impossible to gain access. Also, Parlimian FLT Drives operate on a wormhole technology. Using this, a ship can create an entry and exit point of a wormhole, allowing instantaneous travel to any location within one-thousand llightyears. Smaller ships have taken to using this drive in combat, popping in and out of wormholes long enough to fire, before they dissappear into another. Frigates and Capitol Ships are too large to employ this strategy.
Fighters
Fighters are generally small craft with a small crew (usually 1-3). They have many different roles in warfare.
"Corsair" Class Carrier-Based Fighter
Front View (http://artships.com/2001/rokso_front.jpg)
Side View (http://artships.com/2001/rokso_starboard.jpg)
The Corsair, because of its small size and limited range, are used only in conjunction with carriers, or as defense craft at orbital stations. That said, they are fast, maneuverable, and well-armed, carrying twin Type "B" Pulse Cannons and a single Class "D". This fighter is ideal for out-maneuvering enemy craft, then giving them the death blow. Unfortunately, it has no shield system and very little armor to speak of, the the pilot must rely on speed alone. It requires a one-man crew.
”Phantom” Interceptor Class Fighter
Top View (http://artships.com/2003/coin_top2.jpg)
Side View (http://artships.com/2003/coin_port.jpg)
The Phantom is the primary fighter of the Armed Forces. It is both reasonably fast and maneuverable and it carries medium shields and armor plating, plus stealth technology that allow it to remain undetected on sensors for periods of time. It is also a force to be reckoned with when fighting inside an atmosphere. Its armed with two Type “B” Pulse Cannons and a single Type “C” Pulse Cannon, plus two missile pods, one which fires guided-missiles and the other firing “dumb” missiles. It is equipped with a FTL drive for long-range missions and requires a single crewman.
”Mad Dog” Heavy Fighter
Top View (http://artships.com/2003/camo_top.jpg)
Side View (http://artships.com/2003/camo_side.jpg)
The Mad Dog isn’t the fastest of fighters, but exceptional maneuverability allow it to keep up with the rest. It has heavy shields and armor and is equipped with two Type “B” Pulse Cannon and two Type “D” Pulse Cannons.
"Thunderer" Class Anti-Capitol Ship Fighter
Front View (http://artships.com/1998/tetreault_front.jpg)
Side View (http://artships.com/1998/tetreault_side.jpg)
The Thunderer is, as its name suggests, best against large ships and orbital installations. It has a plethora of weaponry, two Turreted Type "D" Pulse Cannons, two Turreted Type "E" Laser Cannons, a single Type "F" Laser Cannon, and a compliment of six "Fissure" Long-Range Guided Missiles (basically miniature thermonuclear bombs). It also comes equipped with heavy shields and an insane amount of armor, insuring that its crew of five is plenty protected, and it is equipped with a FTL drive. Against fighters, however, it is next to useless. It is slow and easily out-maneuvered, plus, its weaponry is made to fight large capitol ships, not tiny fighters, which are very hard to target. It is at its best with a fighter escort on long-range missions.
"Dogs-of-War" Class Dropship
Front View (http://artships.com/2004/beowulf_front.jpg)
Side View (http://artships.com/2004/beowulf_rear.jpg)
While technically not a fighter, the Dogs-of-War fits best into this category. This dropship is deployed from orbiting stations or ships and is made to drop equipment, light vehicles, or, a platoon of fully equipped Marines (twenty men). The Dogs-of-War class, though unarmed, is plenty protected. Heavy sheilds and armor insure that its two crewmembers and whatever cargo it's currently carrying will be greatly protected.
"Big Rig" Class Super-Heavy Dropship
Front View (http://artships.com/2004/gorge_left_bow.jpg)
Side View (http://artships.com/2004/gorge_port.jpg)
Again, the Big Rig isn't considered a fighter, but an equipment mover. It is used primarily to drop heavy vehicles, pre-fab bases and other structures, equipment, and finally, if need, up to four platoons of Marines, fully equipped.
Corvettes
Corvettes are the smallest non-fighter class in the fleet. They are primarily used as scouts, escorts, or anti-fighter ships. All Corvettes have FTL drives, shields, and armor. Most of their weapons systems are turreted. Corvette weapons are more powerful than those of a fighter.
”Peregrine” Class Patrol Corvette
Top View (http://www.artships.com/1998/ptboat_top.jpg)
Side View (http://www.artships.com/1998/ptboat_side.jpg)
The Peregrine is both small, fast, and armed with a plethora of weaponry. The Peregrine is usually assigned to border patrol duties, and due to its speed, this is a goal is accomplishes with flying colors. Weapons include: x2 Turreted Double-Barreled Type “D” Laser Cannons, x1 Double Barreled Type “F” Pulse Cannon, and, x10 Pop-Up Point-Defense Type “A” Anti-Fighter Pulse Cannons. It has a ten-man crew, light shields, and moderate armor.
”Coyote” Class Escort Corvette
Front View (http://artships.com/1998/corvette_f.jpg)
Side View (http://artships.com/1998/corvette_s.jpg)
The Coyote is one of the slower corvettes, only fast enough to maneuver in between Capitol ships as they travel in formation. It is meant to provide fire support and combat enemy fighters inside fleet formation. It is slower because of the extensive amount of weaponry and its medium shields and heavy armor. Its weapons include: x2 Double Barreled Type “F” Laser Cannons, x2 Type “E” Pulse Cannons, x2 Fissure Missile Tubes, and x20 Pop-Up Point-Defense Type “A” Anti-Fighter Pulse Cannons. It has a fifty person crew, and room for a small shuttle or dropship to dock in its small landing bay.
”Big Brother” Class Surveillance Corvette
Front View (http://artships.com/1999/golem_top_front.jpg)
Side View (http://artships.com/1999/golem_side.jpg)
The Big Brother class is a small, lightly armed, scout and spy ship. It has extensive stealth and monitoring capabilities, hence its name (from the novel “1984”). The hull itself is built to bounce scanners and sensor readings right off from it, and its specialized engine makes its energy signature completely undetectable. It contains an extensive array of communications monitoring equipment, plus a deluxe senor suite. Its most notable feature, however, is its ability to completely disappear visually through millions of little fiber-optic cables relaying the image on the other side of them. Its defensive capabilities, however, are not impressive. It has no shields, and very little armor, and only a pair of Type “B” Pulse Cannons for weaponry. It has a ten man crew.
Frigates
Frigates are the proverbial “missing link” between the tiny Corvettes and the massive Capitol Ships. They usually have a crew between 1-500 people, and carry extensive weaponry, mostly in turret form (usually pop-up). Frigates all have FLT drives, shuttle bays. And are generally about 1-3000 meters long. Frigate weapons are more powerful than those of a Corvette.
”Orca” Class Assault Frigate
Top View (http://artships.com/2004/robbins_top.jpg)
Side View (http://artships.com/2004/robbins_star.jpg)
The Orca is perhaps the most common ship in the fleet, though for good reason. It is well-armed and armored with: x2 Double Barreled “Type F” Laser Cannons, x4 Type “D” Double-Barreled Pulse Cannons, x4 Fissure Missile Tubes, x50 Pop-Up Point-Defense Type “A” Anti-Fighter Pulse Cannons, Moderate Shields, and Heavy Armor. Its docking bay has room for a wing (12 Fighters) of Phantoms or a half-wing of Mad Dogs. It has a crew of 350, with a complement of 150 Parlimian Marines.
”Bombardier” Class Orbital Bombardment Frigate
Front View (http://www.nugax.com/Starships/ShipPics/ry3.jpg)
Side View (http://www.nugax.com/Starships/ShipPics/ry3.jpg)
While excelling at ship-to-ship combat, the Bombardier class is meant mostly for planetary sieges and bombardment. Standing at 3 kilometers in length, it has multiple heavy weapons, including, x2 Type “F” Pulse Cannon (a rare find, on any ship), x4 Double-Barreled Type “F” Laser Cannons, x4 Type “F” Laser Cannons, x10 Fissure Missile Pods, x100 Pop-Up Point-Defense Type “A” Anti-Fighter Pulse Cannons, and x6 Fissure Missile Tubes. This Frigate is unique in the sense that is has no shielding at all, as there is no room for it amidst the extensive weapons systems. To make up, it has obscenely thick armor, which can compensate for all but the most critical of its. It is also very slow, and maneuverability is almost non-existent. It also has an extremely cramped docking bay, with room enough only for four “Dogs-of-War” dropships. Its advantages, however, are generally considered more numerous than its weaknesses, and the Bombardier is a stable in the Parlimian Space Fleet. It has a crew of 1,000, plus 500 Marines.
”Interdictor” Class Planetary Invasion Frigate
Front View (http://artships.com/2004/fralthi_logo.jpg)
Side View (http://artships.com/2004/fralthi_side2.jpg)
The longest “frigate” currently in service, the Interdictor weighs in (or measures in, rather) at 3,500 meters, or 3.5 kilometers. Its purpose is relatively simple, to be used as a staging grounds for orbital invasions of planets. It has extremely thick armor and heavy shielding, though it has a limited amount of weapons systems (in the way of anti-ship systems)- x2 Type “F” Laser Cannons, x2 Type “D” Laser Cannons, x500 Pop-up Point Defense Type “A” Anti-Fighter Pulse Cannons. Its major tactical downside is that its main weapons aren’t turreted, and thus, alone, the carrier is easily out-maneuvered and fired upon by smaller frigates or corvettes. Fighters usually have no chance against these brutes, as the anti-fighter weapons are very numerous. It has a crew of 7,500 people. It can carry 15,000 Infantry, 750 “Dogs-of-War” Drop ships or 190 “Big Rig” Dropships. It also carries numerous vehicles (heavy and otherwise), plus the transports need to carry them, equipment, and extra ammunition.
”Maverick” Class Battle Frigate
Front View (http://artships.com/2003/connor_front.jpg)
Side View (http://artships.com/2003/connor_top.jpg)
Named for the President, the Maverick class is one tough SOB. Heavy armor and shields keep this frigate safe from enemy fire, while its vast array of turreted weapon systems pound back. It is about 2 kilometers long, despite its pudgy appearance. Weapons systems include: x4 Double Barreled Type “F” Class Laser Cannons, x6 Type “E” Laser Cannons, x4 Type “E” Pulse Cannons, x8 Fissure Missile Tubes, x150 -up Point Defense Type “A” Anti-Fighter Pulse Cannons. It has a crew of 950 and a complement of 150 Marines. The Maverick, however, is slow and unwieldy in the hands of an inexperienced pilot.
Capitol Ships
Capitol ships are massive, usually over three kilometers in size. They have heavy shields, armor, and weapons (which are usually turreted), but are generally very slow and not too maneuverable. Their purpose is simple, shoot some, shoot some more, and when everyone is abandoning their ships, ask some questions. Then shoot them some more. Their weapon system are generally so numerous that only their primary barrages shall be listed. They all have FTL drives.
”Sword of the Republic” Class Capitol Ship
Front View (http://www.starshipmodeler.org/gallery8/jl_cordoba_002a.jpg)
Side/Rear View (http://www.starshipmodeler.org/gallery8/jl_cordoba_001a.jpg)
Gigantic describes the flagship-class of the fleet well. At around 7 km long, this ship is generally a rare find, due to its high price tag, and the large amount of man-power needed to effectively run the ship. It has heavy shielding, armor, and innumerable weapons. Its primary weapons are x6 Triple-Barreled Type “F” Laser Cannons and x8 Double-Barreled Type “E” Pulse Cannons, though there are hundreds of other weapons systems present. It carries four wings of “Phantom” Class Interceptors, two wings of “Mad Dog” Heavy Fighters, and a wing of “Thunderer” Anti-Capitol ship fighters, plus all the pilots needed. It has a crew of around 11,500, and a Marine compliment of 2,000.
”Plague” Class Capitol Ship
Front View (http://www.starshipmodeler.org/gallery7/sl_shadow5.jpg)
Side View (http://www.starshipmodeler.org/gallery7/sl_shadow2.jpg)
One of the more menacing looking ships in the fleet; they are all painted black, with no exceptions. They are made to intimidate, though they are only lightly armed (at least, for a capitol ship). Its main guns are x3 Triple-Barreled Type “F” Laser Cannons and x6 Double-Barreled Type “E” Laser Cannons. One of the more peculiar features is the heavily reinforced nose section, which allows the Plaque to ram any opposition, causing considerable damage. Most captains would rather not do that, however. It carries three wings of “Phantom” Interceptors and two wings of “Thunderer” Anti-Capitol ship fighters. It has a crew of 7,500 and 1,750 Marines. It is about five kilometers long.
”Wings of Steel” Class Super Carrier
Front View (http://www.starshipmodeler.com/gallery/jl_des4.jpg)
Side View (http://www.starshipmodeler.com/gallery/jl_des1.jpg)
At 9.5 kilometers, this is the largest ship currently in service with the fleet (the old Colony ships now disassembled or retired). The Wings of Steel acts as a massive airbase, able to carry huge loads of ships, it ferries them to a fro. It can carry 50 Wings of Phantom Interceptors (600 craft), 60 Wings of Corsair Carrier-Based Fighters (720 craft), 40 Wings of Bull Dog Heavy Fighters (480 Craft) and 20 Wings of Thunderer Anti-Capitol Ship Fighters (240 Craft), plus the crew needed for all of them. The crew needed to pilot the Wings of Steel numbers at 17,500, with a complement of 5,000 Marines. Despite the sheer number of fighters, plus the heavy shielding and armor, it is relatively poorly defended, with only x4 Triple-Barreled Class “F” Laser Cannons acting as its primary weapons. It is a massive target, and has to have a large escort, or it may fall prey to other Capitol Ships, who can stand the barrage of fighters long enough to critically damage it.
”Lonestar” Class Battleship
Front View (http://www.spacemodelmania.com/models/gallery6/ap_Andromeda3.jpg)
Side View (http://www.spacemodelmania.com/models/gallery6/ap_Andromeda6.jpg)
The Lonestar is the primary Capitol ship in the fleet, probably because it is the most practical. Its length stands at around six kilometers, which, isn’t as long as the massive Wings of Steel, but not as short as the Plaque class. It has heavy armor and shielding, like all Capitol Ships, and uses x4 Triple Barreled Type “F” Laser Cannons, x6 Type “D” Class Pulse Cannons, and x4 Massive Capitol Ship-Fit Fissure Missile Pods as its principle armaments, though it has many other smaller weapons. For a Capitol Ship, it is relatively fast and maneuverable, making it much easier to pilot than other Capitol ships in a battle. It can carry x6 Wings of Phantom Interceptors, x3 Wings of Bulldog Fighters, and x2 Wing of Thunderer Anti-Capitol Ship Fighters. It has a crew of 6,750 and a Marine complement of 1,000.
Command Ships
Currently, only one class of command ship is in service with the fleet, the Monarch. Otherwise, command ships are gigantic, easily bigger than any other vessel in the fleet. While they are heavily armed, their primary role is that of a flagship. In battle, they direct other ships via extensive strategic suites, and heavily augmented sensor arrays. Because they are extremely expensive, few command ships exist today.
"Monarch" Class Command ship
With the Parlimian Navy’s continued growth, a niche was found that has yet to be filled. In abroad, or deep space operations, there have yet to be a suitable vessel designed for the role of a command ship. Thus, military technicians have been hard at work designing a ship large enough to assume a command role, yet armed heavily enough to perform well in extreme proximity to the front lines.
The result looks to be a stunning success, as the prototype vessel has just been completed. While much of the design is still classified (many new technologies were developed in unison with this project), the Parlimian Navy, with the consent of the President, have decided to make the majority of the schematic available to the public, and most notably, to the heads of other spacefaring nations. It is planned to build five of these ships, to head up each of the fleets, but production may be cut to just three, as they are in no sense, according to official Naval sources, cheap. The ship, the Monarch class, looks to have a proud future.

Length: 16,354 meters
Width: 1,291 meters
Primary Armaments (Secondary Weapons are too Numerous to List):
x3 Triple-Barrel Type “F” Laser Cannons (Two on upper deck, one below)
x5 Triple-Barrel Type “E” Laser Cannons (Three above, two below)
x3 “Railgun” Delayed Explosion Bombardment Weapons (Two above, one below)
Railguns are the newest weapons to be employed in the Navy, whom principally relies on energy weapons. They fire an explosive projectile that is meant to puncture an enemy ship’s armor, lay dormant inside for a short amount of time (five minutes), then explode.
Armor
Primary: Classified
Secondary: 60.96 cm Ablative Hull Armor
Ablative Armor is yet another project that evolved with the Monarch. It is basically a “gloss” of sorts, over the primary armor. When struck by an energy, or kinetic weapon, the shock is spread over an area of the armor, and a small layer of it dissolves, creating a cloud that disrupts targeting sensors.
Ablative Armor, however, is in no way permanent. After a long battle, it is likely that most of it would be dissolved, so a ship would need to return to port for another layer of “gloss”. It is not a needed function, though, as the primary armor is more than capable of serving by itself.
Shields: Primary, Secondary, and Backup Sheilds. All Heavy, for maximum protection.
Compliment:
16,701 General Crew
4,213 Officers
150 Strategic Command Personnel
2,000 Marines
Aircraft: The Monarch is the sole capitol ship that does not carry aircraft, or space fighters of any kind. This is supplemented by the fact that it carries many more anti-aircraft weapons than the average ship.
Other: The bridge “hanging” beneath the ship is actually a large command suite, with all the facilities needed in a fleetwide operation, including advanced communications, sensor, strategical, and intelligence arrays. Everything a Strat Officer needs to maneuver the fleet. It is heavily armored and shielded.
Note: All Parlimian Weapons Systems are hardened against EMP and a variety of other anti-electrical devices.
