In the Washibarian Capital of New Islamabad

General Musharraf walked briskly down the hall of the presidential palace. Outside the sun was shining and there wasn't a cloud in the sky, typical March Weather. Laid out before the grand palace was the beautiful city. What a wonderful day!, the thought to himself while looking out the windows of the corridor. Today we are going to launch a war, and finally WIN it!. After a few minutes of walking, he entered the war room.

"Sir, the army is ready. It seems that the Communists haven't noticed our military buildup!" said one of his generals as he entered the room. "How many men do we have there?" General Musharraf asked. One of the aides replied "10,060,000 soldiers total sir, counting logistics and such. There is no way the communists can resist our armed might!" the aide added gleefully. The General marked his enthusiasm, thought He would be good for speaking at the Pakistan Day Parade. He then turned his thoughts back to the war. "Excelent, what can we expect from the Airforce and Navy?"
A man with the Insignia of the Navy (http://atlasgeo.span.ch/fotw/images/p/pk~%5E.gif) stood up.
"I speak for the navy and for my colleague in the Airforce in saying that we are going to devote as much of our resources as humanly possible."
"Excelent. Ok, gentlemen. Let the games begin.

The Central Massachusetts/Washibarian Border

The morning was unusally calm. The soldiers on the Central Massachusettsian side idled around, thinking that they had yet ANOTHER day of boring border patrol duty. Some of the soldeirs weren't even UP yet, although they would no doubt recieve not even a slap on the wrist from their commander, who was mostly likely sleeping as well. At around 10:00 in the morning, on of the watchmen saw something odd on the desert horizon. Why is there a sandstorm?!? It's not even SLIGHTLY windy! He then pulled out his binoculars and took a closer look. There were tanks. Lots of tanks. And troop carriers too. "Uh sir... I think we may have a problem," he said to his CO. He then explained what he saw. "The Washis are probably just moving their tanks around to scare us, they're nothing to worry about." The CO replied. As soon as he finished, however, a deafening roar erupted. Hundreds of thousands of missiles screamed towards posistions all along the lines. The defending forces, caught off-guard, soon lost 70% of their strength. Within 5 minutes, though, the bases were alert, and the tanks that weren't damaged rolled off towards the Washibarians at full speed. Overhead, Massachusettsian Fighter Jets, based in the nearby hills, were flying overhead, launching missiles at the attacking forces. Unfortunatly for the defenders, the Pakistani/Washibarians responding with around 100x as many tanks and 40x as many airplanes and 150x as many soldiers. A battle qucikly ensued, but within 30 minutes the defenders had been crushed.

The Washibarian Armed forces have overwhelmed the Central Massachusettsian forces guarding the border, losing only 3,214 soldiers in the process. The Cent. Mass. losses are unkown as of this moment, but they are estimated to be fairly high. The army now approaches the cities close to the border, with the Provincial Capital of Auburn in particular.

OOC: If you haven't guessed, me and Cent. Mass. worked this out. I only controlled his troops for RP sake. I had full permission as well!

BTW- if anyone wants to join in, they can. Just nothing TOO future tech. No airships(except for REALLY basic ones), no cyborg armies of evil, no orbital missile platforms. The stuff can only be technology from around 2015 and below.

And PLEASE don't send in a massive army of around 50,000,000 men. I won't stop you or anything, but that really ruins the RP. Fast.

Oh, and for the record, this army is only TWO, i repeat, TWO percent of my entire population(my ENTIRE army is 3% of my pop)

OOC: Fighting with a 2-1 logistical ratio is stupid, to say the least. Look at the U.S Army in Iraq, they have a 10-1 ratio and even then they suffered from supply problems during fighting against a poorly equipped 3rd World army.

OOC: ...

Hey, listen. At least i PUT logistics. Unlike 99% of the NS world...

OOC: I would never include numbers for fighting and real soldiers. That only confuses people who dont think about it. Just assume you only have one out of ten of those soldiers actually fighting, but its all the same. In big wars, 1/5 or even a larger ratio is possible, but that always lowers the quality of your military, and its not worth it the bigger your military is.

Is there any particular reasoning for this war?

And depending on certain circumstances, I may decide to back someone in this war just for the hell of it anyway.

In the Capital City of Worcester

The city was in a panic. Citizens were scrambling to go to their secret bombshelters left over from the Cold War. The Police tried to keep order, but they were just BARELY achieving it. Premier Kerry saw it all from his window. One of his aides suddenly said "Sir, the Washibarian Army has taken Auburn." The Premier, taken by surprise by this statement, reacted by saying "But i have THREE purple hearts! Oh, what? Sorry. Its an old habit... We must fortify the city. We cannot let the Washibarian take the city!"

OOC: It's Holden and Barre, FYI.

IC: Although we don't neccessarily agree with some of your policies involving communism and nuclear weapons development at such a early stage in your nation's history - we will back you. The Ortiz Doctrine states we will support any fledgling nation in the RL Western Hemisphere from invasion - partly because we want your land too.

How much support would you like us to send? And also, would you like to locate some positioning for arrival? I'm pretty sure Worcester Airport may be a bad target considering the enemy has Auburn and could move around west towards Leicester. Perhaps blitz south from the Fitchburg-Leominster area and work south?

And also I'd like to know just how the hell Auburn can be taken with nothing else around it under enemy control so far.

EDIT: OOC - You also don't bump topics that fast. Usually you wait till it slides off the first page or two before you do it - however long that takes. Usually an hour, at many times several more.

OOC: You are RIGHT! I actually grew UP in the city/town of Auburn, and i have relatives that live in Holden and Barre. I guess Cent. Mass. hasnt been doing his research :D!

BTW- this isnt based on REAL geopgraphical location. you can kinda tell by the fact that there is a DESERT in his country.

In the city of New Islamabad

President Musharraf stood infront of the third Army Devision, laid out before him. Tens of thousands of soldiers had amassed in the capital before being shipped out to the front lines. Lined up in almost perfect order, they marched past the palace towards the airfieds. In the background, children were singing the national anthem:

"Pak sarzamin shad bad
Kishware haseen shad bad
Tunishane azmealishan arze Pakistan
Markazeyaqin shadbad."

Blessed be the sacred land,
Happy be the bounteous realm,
Symbol of high resolve,
Land of Pakistan.
Blessed be thou citadel of faith.

But Auburns the best town, hands down.

OOC: I've been to Auburn countless times. And well, it's the closest my town has to anything remotely non-boring. I was born in Worcester, but I'm from south of the line in Connecticut. So I'm familiar with anything along the way from here north to Worcester - the towns on this side of the line, plus Webster, Oxford, and Auburn.

IC: We are still waiting for CMass authorization to head southward across from New Hampshire.

Secret IC: On CMass command, we seal off both directions of I-190 to the general public. Light army vehicles can go down the northbound lanes, heavy artillery can go down the southbound lanes. Helicopters and air assistance will be accompanying throughout the route southward to Worcester. From there, I-290 may be sealed in order to go south into Auburn. Work from 395/290 and the Mass Pike, then work into the four corners of town.

Our intelligence indicates a high amount of coverage of the enemy leadership and military around the area of the Auburn Mall and H.S. Several hotels, unwillingly, are housing these leaders within close proximity to major highways and roads out of town for quick escape. If we storm into these hotels, there will be bloody conflict. The High School is being considered as another large housing of enemy military. However, property damage and public fear will be minimalized if we don't use major artillery or air fire. So propose ways to limit our damages.

Want to RP this angle out just taking/defending the RL territory, not invading/defending this NS country?

To everyone else: should I start another war where we all fight for control of New England - particularly the Worcester area but extending to other major cities.

I can send invites and create another topic.
