Persepolis, Parthia:
The domes of Persepolis palace lit up as the golden sun reflecting upon the golden domes. Along the main street leading to the palace, a grand structure combining Persian and Baroque styles, Immortals in dress uniforms held their Scimitars in the air. Surrounding the palace, formal gardens and ponds with golden fountains spraying water into basins and ponds the size of lakes. The single street led through the single gate of the walled compound, paved with stones and lined with fruit trees. Along the way, halfway to the palace, the Shah's personal fire temple stood in the centre of an ornamental lake. Accessible only by drawbridge, the temple contained the fire of Zarathustra.
The structure was crowned with a golden dome which reflected into the lake.
And in this scene of Paradise, the Shah waited in his throne room for the arrival of the Emperor.

Thundering in the clouds, the huge plane slowly dipped down, the sound of the propellers roaring as they began to line up with the Parthian airport. The turbulance rocked the plane, and inside, the envoy sat clenched to their seats. It came to the ground and glided across the air strip. As it slowed down, the Parthian escort soon surronded the plane as it came to a stop.
Exiting the plane first was two men in ornate grey uniforms, rapiers at their side and an automatic rifle in their hands as they quickly made their way down the temporary stairs. They stood on each side and quickly stood to attention. A tall, gangly figure stepped from the door of the plane, behind him another two of the Knights. He had stringy, light brown hair to his shoulders, but upon his head was a large, traditional officer's cap, and he was dressed in a blue officer's uniform, decorated with medals. Also at his side was a rapier, closed in its sheath, but the hilt was gilded with gold and silver, and the sun danced upon its surface. He slowly, with one hand on the hilt of the sword, made his way down the stairs with his body shield behind him and when he reached the bottom he was quickly surronded by the three Knights.
Soon, another grey uniformed guard came down, behind him an envoy of five diplomats, various aristocrats and parliamentary members, including the stunning Countess of Verseilles, Madame Elisabeth Brun. Behind them another one of the Knights came down, and the last member of the envoy to walk dow nthe stairs was the quite, grey-haired Foreign Minister, dressed in a drab suit of grey, Raphael Locke.
He was the first to speak to the Parthian escort.
"Would you please escort our envoy to the Palace?"

The honor guard walked towards the Emperor and began to speak, "We shall escort you to the palace, if thy majesty requests it. Please enter the staff limo we have provided."

The honor guard walked towards the Emperor and began to speak, "We shall escort you to the palace, if thy majesty requests it. Please enter the staff limo we have provided."
The Emperor breaks fowards from the crowd. In person, despite his nto so glorious image, he truly is a compelling presence. He nods.
"Let it be so."
He follows the honor guard hastily to the transportation.
"I trust you have enough for 12?"

"Absolutley, we have provided three staff limos and 20 escorts: 4 HMMWVs and 16 Police motorcycles."
The Emperor entered his designated vehicle along with the rest of the delegation. They drove out of the diplomatic terminal and onto the highway, to either side, massive hgh rises where wealthy Parthian lived lined the west side of the city along with the great skyscrapers. As the city proceeded eastwards it went from upper class to middle class, and then the slums and smoke belching factories. While the wealthy side of the city rose into the heavens, topped with glimmering domes and spires, the poor stood next to factories which expelled black smoke from their smokestacks. The vehicles began to move out of the city, going into the mountains which cradled Persepolis in beauty. Along this stretch of road, the wealthy built their "vacation cottages", where family of the elite lived while the father worked in the city. They were massive, often 50 room Persian-Baroque houses topped with domes or European roofs and surrounded by manicured gardens and tall fences. The motorcade pulled off the highway and onto the road leading to the greatest home in Parthia... that of his majesty the Shah.
The cars drove past massive homes of Lords and Satraps, where these nobles lived when the Shah needed them for prolonged periods. Finally, they neared the gate. It was a massive structure of iron bars topped in spikes and elegantly carved wood, which swung open as the motorcade neared.

The car pulled into the circular drive right in the central entrance of the center of the palace. To either side, two wings formed, equal in size. The center of this palace was the great throne room, and that was where this entrance, a high structure with pillars placed near the entrance to hold up a large overhang

The Emperor walks in, his entourage and Knights behind him. With a smile, he kneels down and bows his head.
"It is an honor to be in the presence of such as wise leader as you, Shah Khosru."

The throne room was 100 feet long and and 30 feet wide. Carved pillars connected by great arches lined the walkway to the throne of Shah Khosru, and a single carpet went from the double gilded doors to the raised, diamond encrusted throne of the Shah. Between the columns stood Immortals in their dress uniforms, and for the Immortals of the Royal Guard these uniforms were quite elaborate, with jeweled scimitars and silver inlayed XM-8s. Above the throne of the Shah, a great golden dome with a single window directed light onto the Shah, bathing him in a semidivine aura.
The Napoleonic Emperor entered the door and immediatley the Shah stepped off his raised pedestal on which the throne sat and spoke to him on the same level after politley bowing. The Immortals then all got down on one knee as the Shah spoke, "I am quite pleased to meet thy majesty as well, I have heard you are a wise ruler of a great empire and believe the Shahdom can assist you in expanding that empire."

The young Emperor smiled and stood, his rapier on his side.
"We are delighted to hear your remarks of friendship. We wish to personally open relations with the Parthian Empire. We have a strong presence in the Western Hemisphere, and Western Europe. But we have somewhat lessened our imperialistic policies, for the most part. Are we to dicuss this furthur in another room, or shall we be satisfied here?"

"Indeed, I have a room where you and I may speak privatley, please follow me." The Shah walked down the central aisle and out the door with two Immortals at his side. The central atrium branched off into three directions, one to the throne room, one to the west wing and one to the east wing. The Shah entered the east wing and walked down the corridor lined with windows on one side and mirrors on the other. The roof was intricatley designed and gilded, laying 35 feet above their heads. From threre, the Shah entered the door to his personal meeting room and walked in. The Immortals stood outside as the Emperor entered.
