These are the stats on my powerhouse, U.N. Member Nation, Mauiwowee for the world's fact book.
The financial data below is current as of the RL date of this post, however it will change as we become even more intimidating to our enemies. :D

Mauiwowee is a constitutional monarchy located in the South Pacific ocean between (roughly) Australia and Peru. The country is composed of 5 main islands of volcanic origin, and a few smaller, generally uninhabited or sparsley populated, (less than 6,000 people) islands. The main islands are formed in a more or less donut shape around a central sea basin due to the explosion and collapse of a huge volcano over 3,800 years ago. It is believed that centuries ago the legends of the lost continent of Mu, a south Pacific equivalent to the Atlantic's lost island of Atlantis, originated from or about Mauiwowee and the explosion of the volcano as Mauiwowee natives and other south Pacific natives migrated into South America and were absorbed by the indiginous indians of that continent. Mauiwowee is currently united under King 'Lude II who managed to consolidate control under the traditional monarchy by offering a constitution to the islands with guarrantees of personal freedoms for their people. The country has a large military manufacturing business, a very sophisticated state owned bio-tech, pharmacutical and nanite manufacturing and R & D business enterprise and one of the world's most sophisticated and large naval forces. Sea farming and underwater habitat development are currently under intense scrutiny and research as well. They welcome friendly overtures and are formal allies with Sarizonia and The Hawaiian Islands. They have a puppet nation in the form of the Grand Duchy of Norleans, formed by their take over and consolodation of control over the former states of Louisiana & Mississippi and the port of Mobile, Alabama when the Antebellum South's government collapsed a few years back. The are formal members of the world region designated as 00000000 A Place to Poke Smot and are also tied to the Southern Alliance and the Gulf Protection Alliance currently under development by Communist Louisiana (a trans-dimensional N.S. Ally). Natural resources in the form of natural thermal heat from the volcanic activity in their area are used to supply a large portion of the country's energy needs. They also have a small, but significant, diamond producing region that supplies a significant source of support for their currency and protects its stability against major fluctuations due to worldwide economics and inflation. Their national animal is the wild ferret.

Anyone who thinks my stats are way out of line or too hard to swallow, please post and let me know. I've used U.S. military stats as a starting point and adjusted them based on what I believe to be reasonable RP parameters taken from my population, financial, country history, etc. statistics and information.

You have ludicrious (read godmod) amount of aircraft carriers, destroyers, bombers, fighter planes and tanks.......... you should reduce those numbers considerably as well as the size of your military which is way to high for a 517 million pop nation. Even my 12 million man military is considered a bit too large, even though i have over 2 billion population

I am not disputing your claims, but I wish to know upon what you base them. I'm more than willing to reduce my claimed forces if need be to come more in line with "reality." Note, however, that military defense is my #1 industry and I do have compulsory military service. I also think my budget can handle what I've described. My military may be huge, but is it really a god-mod? Anyone else want to comment? Again, I'm not trying to be an ass, I just want others to weigh in. If you're right, you're right and I'll reduce the size of my military. However, I want a fair and unbalanced second opinion.

Meanwhile, here is a map of Mauiwowee as well as notes re: the map.

1. "X" = a major military base, sorry, but I won't reveal if it is navy, air force, etc. (national security you know). Note also, not all are associated with major cities.

2. Note the volcanoes (black & yellow dots with names in red) Mt. Death and Mt. Surprise on Volcano/Smoke island are the most active. Mt. Prostate and Mt. Stem are the least active.

3. Please, just for fun, study the map carefully, there are many inside jokes as well as a fair amount of geological accuracy (i.e. note how the islands' names accurately reflect their shapes and how they probably fit together many thousands of years ago.)

4. On Earth V I own Australia, Hawaii and French Polynesia and this map doesn't count. However, I'll note in the involved thread that I'm RP'ing on whether it is an Earth V RP, otherwise use this map when RP'ing with me.

5. For those not used to reading relief maps, the lighter the area of the land mass, the higher the elevation.

You have only 512,000,000 population but 102,000,000 people in your military. Even with compulsory military service this figure is unacceptable

You have 56 Aircraft Carriers, 475 Battleships and 710 Destroyers. The operating costs of such vessels are extremely high, and you cannot possibly hope to afford the costs of manning, fueling, maintaining and operating so many large vessels.

You have 1,217,000 Fighter/Attack Jets and 437,000 Bombers

You have 645,000 Tanks

ah i am very lazy and dont feel like wrting any more, just show these figures to someone respectable and they will agree that your military is far too big.... ah theres some sticky about high percent militaries and why they dont work... lets just say me and my best 3 puppets dont have as much military as you do even though they are all 1 billion plus with compusory military service.

OOC: After some signinficant reconsideration of my original post and Phoenix Militia's arguments, as well as some additional research regarding military strenghts, I've revised the figures for military strengths from the original post by significantly reducing them to what should be a more realistic number. note also: I have added military helicopters to my military equipment list and increased the number of civilians in private industry on my employment logs. Finally, bear in mind that the revised employment and military numbers are based on a total population of 517 Million, but the budget numbers haven't been adjusted from their original posting when my population was 510 million. Oh, yeah, the map is the same and so is Miss Mauiwowee :fluffle:

Nice map, I like the revised stats, they seem to address the concerns raised and still give you an awesome force of arms. As to Miss Mauiwowee, she is welcome here anytime. :rolleyes:
