Nikolaos The Great
09-09-2004, 21:25
Due to the conflict between Greece and Euroslavia, Nikolaos the Great decided to open up diplomatic talks. Nikolaos the Great will attend them personally with an advisor, the Speaker of the Assembly, Lazaris III. The choice is given to Euroslavia to decide where they want the diplomatic talks to be held.

Dude, you and Euroslavia went to war. I doubt they will ever have anything to do with uis 3 or join the balkan alliance.

OOC: We where about to go to war. Also he agreed to the diplomatic talks and these diplomatic talks aren't for the balkan alliance but for my nation and his. He is an ennemy but its best to leave the past behind and talk over with the ennemy with what the problem was.

Dude, you and Euroslavia went to war. I doubt they will ever have anything to do with uis 3 or join the balkan alliance.

OOC: We never actually went to war. We mobilized, and yes, we declared war, but we never actually battled, unless you consider it a short Cold War, hehe.

Euroslavia is willing to open up negotiations with Nikolaos the Great about our icy relations. We would prefer if the talks were held in your nation. It is not in Euroslavia's blood to hold a grudge against other nations. We always look for ways to get past previous clashes of interest, and to move on into the future with a new friend.

OOC: Payin some attention. I will let planes or such go to greece and through my airspace. I will alos allow people from Euroslavia to enter greece.

I got a wall and so does Generia. ANy aircraft without permission to fly is shot down. Any people without permission to enter are sent away. Flying around my territory or Generia would be a waste so ill let you go through.

The conference will be held in Athens, Greece. Who will you be sending? A diplomat our your empress? Whoever you will be sending they may arrive by a plane and land in the New Athens Airport where your empress/diplomat will be meet by a limo which will transport your empress/diplomat to a building.

Four meter high fences are around the building. The building has no windows except for an entrance door. All other buildings around it will have snipers on there rooftops. Also police will be encircling the building.

You may also bring up to 20 bodyguards if you feel the building is not safe.

We will not send our Empress, as she has many things she needs to take care of here in Euroslavia. We will be sending our highest ranked General Celes Erzebet, to open discussions with you. Be warned though, Celes is very closed-minded and can get on the defensive quite quickly.

When will we be excepting the General to arrive in Athens?

The General will be on her way right now. Her private jet only recently departed for Greece and will arrive within the hour.

A limo is waiting outside of the airport. It can easily be seeing since infront of it it carries a small Euroslavian and Greek flag.

The first General of the Euroslavic Army was a woman. She is the most powerful General in the entire nation of Euroslavia. This was a shock to many, as they continue to say a woman has no place in the military. She was here to prove her wrong. Not only can she command her troops in a superior manner, this trip will prove that she can also double as a diplomat, serving the interests of her nation, especially with a nation that Euroslavia was briefly at war with. This was her field.

The plane was about to land in Nikolaos the Great, and she needed to be a lot more strict than the Empress was in her previous engagement with the leaders of the Balkan Alliance. Her voice must be assertive and aggressive, making sure that Euroslavia's demands not be forgotten.

As the plane landed, she walked out of the plane with 5 of her bodyguards. She was notified that a limo would be waiting for her outside, so she and her men walked outside, found the limo, and got in, anxiously awaiting the conference.

The soldier that was driving the limo was suprised that the Euroslavian general was a woman so he decided to stay quiet. After an 40 minutes of driving the limo pulled over at a secured building that looked like a prison but was the diplomatic house where all those meetings with foreign nations are held.

The soldier that was driving came out opened the door for the General and her bodyguards.

"Please follow me inside the building."

The soldier yelled at another soldier in Greek telling him to open the gates. The gates opened up and the soldier walked into the building's grounds followed by other 4 soldiers, the General and her bodyguards.

They entered the building and took the downstairs to the conference room. The soldier opened the doors and inside was Nikolaos the Great, Lazaris III and 10 soldiers. Inside the room there was a big rounded table. It was made out of food and was polished. Ten chairs where around the table.

Nikolaos got up and spoke.

"Welcome to Greece, General Celes Erzebet! Do you need anything to drink? If not we can start the diplomatic talks now."
Euroslavia

Celes looked at Lazaris blankly for a few seconds.

"No drinks please. Let's get to business."

Celes began to wonder exactly what would happen. She personally was ready to lead her armies into Greece to defeat Nikolaos the Great, that is, until the Shogun gave in to peace. She really wanted this chance to prove herself more as a General, as Euroslavia hadn't been in a serious war since she was promoted to her position. It's not that she had a grudge against Nikolaos the Great, she just wanted to make a name for herself, but that was ruined.

"Now what exactly do you want to discuss?" Celes replied coldly.

It takes a lot..and I do mean, a lot to get respect from Celes. She holds very few people at her own standards.
Nikolaos The Great
11-09-2004, 01:16
"Well maybe we can first discuss why Euroslavia pulled out of the Balkan Alliance? There must have been a good reason why your Empress did that."

OOC: I will be back in a half an hour or so...
Euroslavia
11-09-2004, 01:23
"The Empress has her own reasons on why she felt Euroslavia shouldn't be part of the Balkan Alliance anymore. She has strong feelings about alliances, and rarely joins them. She feels that due to the alliances/relations that specific members had with others, Euroslavia should no longer be part of the alliance."
Nikolaos The Great
11-09-2004, 01:45
"But just let her know that Euroslavia is always welcomed back. Anyways down to business. I except of Euroslavia to keep its military opertions in Southern Euroslavia, where its near Greece, to be kept low. I also want Euroslavia to ally itself with the rest of the Balkan nations. In return I will keep my military operations near your border low and sign a non agressive pact. So what do you think?"
Euroslavia
11-09-2004, 01:54
Celes was outraged at Lazaris' request. Forced to ally with Nikolaos the Great and the rest of the Balkan nations? Forced to keep military exercises low in Southern Euroslavia...those are some serious requests.

"First of all, I must say, these demands are quite arrogant. Euroslavia doesn't need an alliance with the nations of the Balkan. Secondly, we will have our military exercises wherever we please, as long as it's within our border, you have absolutely no jurisdiction in the matter. I am shocked that you even suggested such a thing."

Celes shot a mean look at him. They request these things as if they could easily defeat Euroslavia. Talk about push and shove...
Nikolaos The Great
11-09-2004, 02:02
"If I remember correctly I didnt say that Euroslavia haves to rejoin the alliance. I said that you should ally with the rest of the Balkans to keep stability. If you do not want to lower military operations in Souther Euroslavia will just keep building up our defences near your borders. Because your declaration of war against us is not forgoten. The other issue I want to talk about is trade. The marble and silk trade that the old Shogun of Euroslavia established is it still on? Because I got complaints from the marble companies that Euroslavian borders refused to let them export it in."
Euroslavia
11-09-2004, 02:10
"We will continue with our normal ways when it comes to military exercises. Nothing will change that. It isn't putting any other nation at risk of attack. We have a right to exercise anywhere in our nation. To be completely blunt, sir, we do not trust the nations in our region, and personally, an alliance is out of the question, due to the atrocities you committed against IDF and what Generic Empire did to our citizens for a brief time. We cannot trust nations like this. Our trade is completely cancelled for now."
Nikolaos The Great
11-09-2004, 02:19
"What the Generic Empire did has nothing to do with us. And they wont be bothering you for a long time to come since they are in a civil war. My commander told the IDF citizens to stop but they wouldent listen so he used force against them. They where given a choice. And I think you would have done the same thing if you where in the same shoes as that commander. Since trade is cancelled I still want the borders to remain open so that civilians can go through to there daily bussiness. Also "trust" is a very dangerous thing. Do you think any nation trusts anybody else? No they dont. I dont fully trust you, Generic empire, Borman empire and all the other nations."
Euroslavia
11-09-2004, 02:24
"We would have taken care of that matter quite differently, to be honest with you. We would not have shot and killed so many people. We would have deployed non-lethal weapons against the crowd. You're right, we cannot trust 99% of the nations out there, but for cooperation to occur, there needs to be at least, a small amount of trust in there. If there is absolutely no trust between two nations, then there's no use interacting. The border will still be open for citizens, but it will be much harder to get into Euroslavia."
Nikolaos The Great
11-09-2004, 02:43
"Finally we agree on something! There won't be heavy inspection on our side of the borders since there is nothing to fear from Euroslavians. So is there anything you want to say that you want Greece to do?"
Euroslavia
11-09-2004, 07:21
"We have nothing that we would request of the Greeks. I don't feel that I have any right to tell you what to do."
Nikolaos The Great
11-09-2004, 19:00
"Alright then. I want the trades between our two nations open up as soon as possible. Do you have permission to sign anything? Like a 50 year non aggresion pact between the two nations?"
Euroslavia
12-09-2004, 01:33
She knew that she must be stern with her approach, and she must not waiver to any of their offers. She rejected any opportunity of trade before, and she must reject again.

"I'm sorry, but Euroslavia is unwilling to open trade with your nation, and isn't quite ready to sign any sort of pact with you, or anyone else in the region. Again, we must watch out for the good of the nation, and right now, I cannot just dedicate our nation to just any pact."
Nikolaos The Great
12-09-2004, 02:11
"Fine with me if you don't want to sign the pact. Both nations would have gained a lot from it but I am not going to force you to change your mind. Then the meeting is over unless you have something to say?"

"I must warn you in advance, our annual wargames is going to begin within the coming week. We don't want you to think we're planning an attack, but I'm just letting you know, this is something we do every year to keep up with our strategies."
Nikolaos The Great
12-09-2004, 03:36
"Before you leave I have a question. Since you are the supreme and most powerfull General in Euroslavia and war did break out between Greece and Euroslavia do you think you would have beaten us?"
Euroslavia
12-09-2004, 17:59
She thought to herself, "What a question to ask...I don't doubt my skills as a General, and I know Euroslavia could have crushed Nikolaos the Great....does he even know who he's talking to?

"I have no doubt in my mind that I would have lead my men to victory."

Beneath it all, Celes was very egotistical and closed-minded. She was probably the worst person in all of Euroslavia to answer that question.
Nikolaos The Great
12-09-2004, 18:05
"A confident General is very good. You might be a good General but I doubt your soldiers would have survived in the heavy winter up in the mountains. But nevermind that then. If you follow the soldier that brought you in he will lead you to the limo and bring you to the best hotel in Athens and after that you can leave for Euroslavia if you want too or you can stay for as long as you want and enjoy Athens."
Euroslavia
12-09-2004, 18:09
"We have our ways of overcoming....impossible odds. You forget that Euroslavia has basically the same climate as Greece."

A smirk appeared on the General's face, as if she were hiding something, but then her face turned serious.

"I will not be staying in Greece any longer than I need to. Besides, my nation calls for me. I must go back to Arcadia immediately."
Nikolaos The Great
12-09-2004, 18:12
"Very well then. I got to go get ready for the elections."

As the General walked out. Lazaris III turned to one of the soldiers and said.

"Call the SHIA and tell them to keep a profile on this General."

"Yes Sir."

The General looked back at Lazaris and gave an evil glare as he talked to one of his bodyguards. She then turned to her bodyguards, gave a nod, and then walked out of the building. At that point, a limo was prepared to take her back to the airport for her flight back to Arcadia. She knew she had done her best to flex Euroslavia's muscles, despite the possibility of worsening relations with Nikolaos the Great. Celes is sure that this is what Destra would have done, as well. The ride back to the airport was a tense one. She began to think...maybe a little too much. What if this conference led to another declaration of war? If it did, then Euroslavia would surely destroy the enemies armies. There was no question about it. Having control of Greece? Now that would be a very successful war. It would certainly give Euroslavia more access to water/ports. There was so much to think about...

By the time she even began thinking about Euroslavic control of Greece, she arrived at the airport. Celes and her bodyguards began to walk into the airport entrance, and proceeded to her private jet take-off position. At that point, Celes began to look around and noticed a man similar to one of Lazaris' bodyguards. Was it him? She began to feel very uncomfortable, as if Nikolaos the Great had plans for her...

The SHIAN agent looked at her and he knew that she saw him. He turned around and left the airport. He took out his cell phone and called on a secured line.

"The General has left. I am going to get a team of SHIA members and deploy them in Euroslavia. There mission will be to track down Euroslavic government and military movements and keep a profile on the General."

A voice responded back.

"Very good you will need to indentify yourselves as bussiness men to enter Euroslavia."

"Alright. I will get a limo ready."
Nikolaos The Great
15-09-2004, 00:10
A limo has just stopped infront of the Euroslavian border. Inside where four SHIA agents but where undercover as Greek business men. One of the limo's window lowered down.

"We are four Greek bussiness men heading for Arcadia for bussiness. May we pass the border?" asked the SHIA agent that was assigned as leader of the group.
Euroslavia
15-09-2004, 00:26
"What type of business do you have here? How long will you be here? Is there anything you would like to tell us about possibly bringing in foreign goods into Euroslavia?"

OOC: (every guard on our border asks these questions)
Nikolaos The Great
15-09-2004, 00:29
"Our bussiness are involve in construction. And how long we stay here depends if we get any contracts. And no we aren't bringing any foreign goods into Euroslavia. You can check the limo if you want to."
Euroslavia
15-09-2004, 00:36
The guard looked at the men suspiciously. These men didn't look like they knew a single thing about construction....but then again, there has been a massive overload of constructors due to the massive growth of Euroslavia. People like these men in the limo were coming from every country now-a-days, looking for contract deals, offering the job for less money.

"Alright now, you can proceed...but remember, we're keeping an eye on you." he said with a serious tone.
Nikolaos The Great
15-09-2004, 00:41
As the guard opened the gate the limo passed through heading to the capital city, Arcadia.

The leader took out his cellphoned and called on a secure line.

"We have entered Euroslavia. The guard was suspicious but he is no danger to the mission."

"Good where are you heading?" replied Lazaris III

"We are heading toward Arcadia where I will try to get a SHIA agent into the Euroslavian government and another to work in the Euroslavian palace. The other two will try to spy on military movements and I will keep track on General Celes."

"Very good. Everything is going according to plan. Lets just hope that nothing goes wrong and if you do get caught make sure you never mention Greece."
Euroslavia
15-09-2004, 01:05
Celes finally got on the plane that flew directly back into Arcadia, Euroslavia. This whole visit was quite uneasy, but she felt that she handled it well. Her only concern was some sort of political retaliation by Nikolaos the Great. Surely, they wouldn't dare try anything else, or they'd be crushed by the Euroslavic military.

After an hour long flight, Celes' plane landed, and she was greeted by her personal bodyguards, for when she was within Euroslavia. She was happy to see them. Personally, she didn't care for the 5 that escorted her to Nikolaos the Great. It was good to be home...but for some reason...she had an uneasy feeling inside her. Her emotions were usually quite in-tune, so when she had that feeling, she knew something was wrong, but this time, she decided to overlook it..

After a 3 hour drive from Greece the limo finally made it in Arcadia. It parked near a expensive hotel and went to check in and gived fake passports and IDs. Once they went in there rooms and put all there stuff in there the four agents went across the hotel to a cafe.

"I heard that there having elections for senators so the best way to spy on the government is one of you two becomes a senator."

"Thats a good idea. Where do we have to go to register?"

"You are going to need to apply for citizenship but we got fake IDs and passports. You must get 10,000 sugnatures and then go for a party. The address to the nearest government building is here. Also I think you should run for a socialist party."

"Alright."

The two agents left the cafe and headed for that government building.

"Now one of you has to spy in the Euroslavian palace. You need a resume so when your done making it head here.(he handed him a paper with an adress.) I will spy on the General Celes and you will track down military movements."
Nikolaos The Great
18-09-2004, 19:29
The two agents that where going to run for senators walked into the government service building. They walked up to lady in the desk.

"We would like to run for senators." said one of the agents

"You need to show me your IDs and passports."

"Here they are."

The two agents handed over the fake IDs and passports and any other papers she needed.

"Which party will you go for if you get elected?"

"We will got for the Socialist Movement Party of Euroslavia (SMPE)."

Meanwhile at the Euroslavian palace

"Hello. I would like to work here at the palace as a guard." said the SHIA ageny.

"We will need a resume, ID, passport and any other papers you got."

"Here they are."

The SHIA agent handed over the stuff.

OOC: If you are wondering the two agents that are going to run for senators is Kostas Xaripolous and Ioanis Basiliovos. The one that is asking to be a guard is George Papadopoulos.
