Sharina extends a Friendship Conference for Feminary, Dumpsterdam, AMF, other nations
Greetings, Feminany and the International Community.
The Republic of Sharina is interested in opening up friendship and trade treaties with Feminany, Dumpsterdam, AMF, etc.
We have taken note of all the warmongering going on and we are saddened by the actions taken by many nations.
We will open our borders to Feminany, Dumpsterdam, and AMF citizens and trade.
We would be interested in hosting and opening a friendship conference with Feminany, AMF, Dumpsterdam, etc. in our nation. People who are willing to be friends of Feminany and similiar nations are invited to attend.
We will not allow any warmongering, insults, or egoistical fighting to happen in our Friendship Conference. Delegates who engage in such immoral and immature actions will be asked to leave promptly.
It is our hope that this Friendship Conference will help Feminany and similiar nations to gain friends, as well as gain trade and support.
Please send your RSVP and offers to me.
Live well and prosper,
President Rand Veristek

We would like to send a delegate. As both our head of international affairs and our press secretary are scheduled to attend another conference (if it happens), Queen Jizan instead would send Marissa Irons, head of the Feminarian Department of Justice.
OOC: Feminaria does not equal Feminany. The name similarity is confusing, I know, but they are not the same nation, and they're played by different players. ;)
OOC:
No problem, Feminaria. I'm glad you will be coming. :)
Your two delegates are welcome to come to this conference once the other conference concludes (If the conference actually takes place).
I'm truly hoping Feminary reads this and is interested.

I would like to send my delegates on behalf of the Imperium, I myself attended the last "conference", if you can call that jumbled together riff-raff a conference, and I was most displeased by those who were there. Unfortunately the Lords of Terra and the Emperor are most displeased at the current actions of Feminany we still hope there is a peaceful solution to be worked out. If we are allowed to send our delegates there will be 6 of them, one representing each chamber of the Imperium.

You really do not understand what this Conference is about and what the first Conference was about. The Offical Conference on Feminany was a conference that wrote and proposed a Resolution for Peace for Feminany. This Conference is on trade and friendship to Feminany.
I'll send a delegate. While I didn't support the actions by Feminary, the attacks on the nation were even worse. We also recomend that DA not be allowed to come.

We regret sending troops to your nation during that farce of a war, and even though our troops remained on stand-by and did not attack, we apologize for the rash and hostile stance we took. Although we still find feminany's law discriminating against males deplorable, we would like to offer an exchange of embassies with feminany so that perhaps we can grow to understand each other."

Ab-shalom and greetings to our ally, Sharina;

OOC: Sorry to intrude on the friendship conference thread with that.
OOC:
I've TG'ed Feminary about this conference and I'm waiting to hear from her.
Vastiva, I'm trying to help Feminary out. Even though I don't agree with her policies, it gives no excuse for nations to warmonger and gang invade her. I'm trying to help her gain friends and such, and perhaps in time, friendships may help convince her to lighten her stance on men and such.
Much more honest and admirable than yelling, gang invading, and "I uber nukkorz you!!!" don't you agree?
Geruda sends our Head Ambassador Ellywick Turen to this conference. We wish to open up trading with Feminary and all of her allies.
-President Gerbo Beren.
We would also like to take this opportunity to offer our Style-inbued clothing at special rates to everyone who attends the Conference.
-Minister of International Trade.
Welcome, Geruda.
Any additional comers? AMF? Iuthians? Etc?
Once I get a reply from Feminary via TG or here, we can proceed with the conference.

((OK, Sharina I will give you a bit of info on my deligate.
He is part of a noble house known as the Delalu. He is one of the more respested memebers, and lead the Invasion of the Imperian War, then defeted the Alethrian revolt In the Damocles Inccident. He is now retired. He carries himself high, and always has a longsword straped at his belt, although, it is not made for combat, and has a dull edge. He is about 47, and wears white for the morning of his wife ((Tsurani are different.))))
Lord Relu, part of the Delalu house, stood on the bridge of the sleek craft. As was Tsurani custom, all trasports showed their true grasp of technology. The Terran armed forces, no more then a small garrison unless a battle concured, was very mainly using current earth tech. He smiled as the sleek ship moved through the air faster then the slow Terran planes that flew by them. The while and red ship came out from the clouds above the city of Vau. They did a dive, just for dramatics, and landed on the water with a splash, before the boat engins kicked in and the ship moved through the water towards the dock. All in all that went rather well Reku thought to himself.
Head Ambassador Ellywick Turen took a boat to the conference.
When she entered the conference, she heard several loud gasps. She was used to this level of attention. After all, she was only about a meter tall. She also had about twelve piercings on her left ear, and wore a bright, red, Style-imbued pinstripe suit.
After entering, she headed straight for the representitive of Sharina. "Hello. I'm the Head Ambassador of Geruda, Ellywick Turen. I'm Geruda's representitive at this conference. It's nice to meet you. Geruda sends our regards. So, down to buisness. I've been sent to 'foster trade and good relations'. I'm supposed to offer friendship to everyone here. I'm also supposed to try and sell as many prototypes of our Style-Imbued clothing as I can. (OOC: Telegram me if you want more info) I have a few free samples for certain members of the conference. The file she had been given sat on the seat beside her, it's contents long since digested. Beside it, an empty glass, swizzle stick shaking slightly as the huge box-wing plane dealt with turbulence.
A stewardess - one of the two assigned to her - slipped quietly into the cabin.
"Emissary? We are almost to Sharina. Vau flight control has informed us it will be only a few minutes until we are on the ground."
Francesca stretched, opened her eyes and smiled. "Good. Always good to get one's feet wet. Tell the rest of the staff to prepare for the best... and for the worst. This should be..." - A familiar smile appeared on her lips - "Interesting."

As it stands Iuthia would rather resolve any matters of trade and diplomatic connections with Feminany in person after the peace conference in a matter of days. However, in the interest of keeping an active presence in these affairs we will send a ambassador so that we may observe other nation diplomatic attemps. It is important for us to be able to note which nations actively wish to be reasonable during these affairs, and which ones are dangerously inept at diplomacy.
Thanks,
Foriegn Minister Mick Lakely, Iuthian Diplomatic Corps

I'll assume you won't mind my diplomat arriving from space then. It wouldn't make much difference anyway.
Here's the info about her.
name: Hakue
Age: 68
Reasons for selection: First among diplomats in Jordaxia, though has been in an unofficial retirement in recent years. Raised as a Spiritual leader, she is familiar with all of the major Jordaxian religions, with a particular emphasis on Buddhist. Vast experience in dealing with foreigners, as well as those at home, known for brokering the great consolidation, where the major religions and philosophical/spiritual organisations in Jordaxia (Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism (and Zen variant) ) agreed to cease hostilities towards the other (except the Buddhists, who were pacifist, though the same cannot be said about the Zen Buddhists.
Edited in info: like most people from Jordaxia, she is especially tall and thin, approaching 7ft tall. Torso is roughly average size, as the limbs are the most noticeably "stretched"
No weapons will be brought to the conference by the Jordaxian party, nor will Hakue have any bodyguards of any sort, to show non-hostility towards any delegates attending with us.
The Jordaxian ship entered the atmosphere, broadcasting its identity signal. It had been configured to look as much like a conventional plane as possible, to minimise awkwardness at all stages. As was the custom, no technological artifacts (other than a discreet personal gravity generator, which wouldn't be noticed) were carried by someone trained in Spiritual manners, another reason for Hakue's being chosen. As the craft touched down in the 'port, Hakue readied herself for the outside world. Where she had lived, outside was barren. From what she had seen of this place, the sun was comparitavly splitting the skies, almost blinding her at first.
When the doors opened, drafts of air coming in, another surprise to this place, Hakue stepped outside, exageratted movements slowly coming under control. So this is Vau she thought. Curiouser and curiouser.

Transmission from the congress of Nova Hope to all parties involved
Greetings:
We have been aware of the happenings with Feminany and the aggressor nations. We now refer to the events related to this as BIAVI, or Balls In A Vice Incident.
BIAVI brought many opinions to the surface in Nova Hope but with the international outcry our voice remained silent, hoping that cooler heads prevailed. Now that the worst of the flurry has passed we’ve decided to wade into the proceedings.
The congress has decided to warn Feminany using the sternest o language that they are in an extreme grey area that will bring about condemnation should we here of inhumane treatment of your male citizens. On this note we are taking this opportunity to offer a safe haven for the fleeing refugees and deportees from Feminany. We understand that there are refugees of both gender as this controversial law has divided families, we are willing to offer them Noviet citizenship should they agree to educate themselves to the appropriate levels after its granted.
The congress is now officially condemning any of those nations who involved themselves in; an armed build up against Feminany, the planning of the great rape, the planning of any military force used on this sovereign nation.
With the opinion of congress made clear we offer the following. Nova Hope is prepared to enter normalized relations with Feminany, the specifics of which can be agreed upon in person. With the intention of said normalized relations we are preparing to send the right honourable judge Alfred Manning to deicide if the conditions in Feminany warrant our friendship and an Ambassador of Goodwill Alissa Northing.
OOC: Once I’m accepted I’ll post my info for each :D
Name of Envoy: Joanna Torvek
Rank of Envoy: Ambassidor
Country of Origin: Iuthia
Country of origins relation to Feminany: Neutral/Observer
Number of bodyguards (maximum of ten): Two
> Saemus Ha'dalis (Black Viper Specialist - Elf)
> Geoff Kinsman (Black Viper Specialist - Human)
Special considerations: Bodyguards to wear Iuthian Gauss Rifles as their standard cultural weapons. These rifles will not be loaded and will be powered down, should firearms be permitted the body gaurd will be equipped with light concealable weapons designed to be drawn quickly in responce to a security threat. The rifles are significant as they symbolise the military prowess of the Iuthian people (both male and female) as well as our 150 years of peace.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ambassidor Joanna Torvek arrived rather unceremoniously in a private jet owned by an Iuthian air company. It wasn't really something Iuthia wanted publicity with and they didn't really expect much to come out of this conference, but it would make for interesting observations.
Joanna didn't have any aides following her and security was rather loose with only a few security personnel coming along who would not be attending the conference itself and only liaising with the security in Hamptonshire to assure Joanna was safe.
They checked into their hotel and prepared for the conference itself, again, going around low profile in locally hired vehicles before Joanna arrived at the conference herself.
As she entered the train station her long black dress blew a little in the wind, it wasn't the sort of dress which was too revealing, after all, she was an Iuthian diplomat. It was a long, plain black dress which had a cut down the side of the legs to allow for easier mobility, it didn't really show much cleavage and was quite tasteful. Joanna was being permitted the same privilages as Kayla Harmone for this trip, she didn't have to wear the suits that other diplomats in Iuthia had to wear, a sign of her authority and the informality of which she was present in.
She entered trainstation a little late, but it wasn't too much of a worry as the train hadn't left yet. She calmly took a seat which had been marked out for her and then took out her laptop and begun to do some work. She brushed aside some of her dark, straight black hair which had been mussed alittle by the breaze and read up on the latest affairs.

Background info on the diplomat that will be coming to the conference.
Name: Iaonis Karamilis
Age: 29
From: Athens, Greece
Sex: Male
Languages he speaks: Greek, English, French, German and Spanish
Info: He is a member of the assembly but he is also a diplomat. He was once the speaker of the assembly but wasen't elected again. He haves good diplomat skills but was never in a major diplomatic talks. This will be his first major diplomatic talk.
On the Greek private jet.
The pilot speaker turned on and said:
"We are going to land in Vau right now so please put on your seat belt."
"Finally we made it!" Iaonis thought to himself. You can't blame him. A 3 hour flight is bad enough but not only that this was Iaonis first major diplomatic conference.
The private jet landed in the airport of Vau. Iaonis got off the plane with his two bodyguards and called for a taxi.
"Where to buddy?" said the taxi driver.
"Do you know there the high speed diplomatic train is?"
"Sure I do. Its down at the train station."
"Alright take me there."
"Sure thing."
Iaonis sat in the back with one of his bodyguards and the other one sat in the front.
After getting through heavy traffic the taxi finally parked near the train station.
"Here is your money and have a nice day."
"Thanks!"
And with that the taxi driver left.
Iaonis went to one of the booths.
"Do you know where the special diplomat high speed train is?"
"Its right there" pointed the operator booth.
Iaonios with his bodyguards went up to the guard at the train.
"I am a diplomat from Greece and came to attend the conference. They said I should take this train."
The Empire of Hataria will send a Envoy to Sharina to become allies with said Nation.
Name of Envoy: Izu Yamamoto.
Welcome to the conference Transpontia, Hardheads, and Nova Hope.
Provide info about your diplomats (if you haven't already), then RP the arrival of your guys into Sharina's city of Vau.
OOC:
When a few more people arrive in Vau, I'll start the conference by RP'ing the train and such, then having everyone arrive in Lodis via that train.
Bodyguards are allowed to bring two weapons each, but they are required to register these weapons with Sharinan Security. I ask that your bodyguards use these weapons only in times of emergency. If anyone uses weapons to show off like "I got a bigger gun than you! You obey what I say!" (That kind of crap) or engage in immature behavior with guns and such (playfully pointing them at people for instance), they will be asked to leave their weapons with Sharinan Security.
This is done to ensure safety aganist any assassins, yet prevent the blatant weapon-play that occurred in Sixth Reich's peace treaty conference.
Iuthia, your gauss rifles will be permitted for your bodyguards.
At any rate, I'll wait for a few more of the "signed up" people to RP the arrival of their delegates, then we can begin the conference.
Sounds good?

IC: She rode easily within the confines of the VAL 74SL, resting as long experience had shown to be the best thing to do enroute to one of these events.
The two green-robed bodyguards she brought along efficiently registered their FN-MPs and Sparrow Palmguns with Sharinan. After a short discussion, they also registered their scimitars, though it was diplomatically agreed these were more cultural pieces then weapons.
There was another short discussion, but it was decided their bodyarmor didn't need to be registered, particularly when stylishly worn.

OOC: If it's alright, I'd like to send a delegate as well. I've been watching the development of this situation for sometime and quite sympathize with Feminany. Anyway, here's the information of the delegate I will be sending.
Name: Alistair Alinsky
Age: 34
Background: Danarkadian Defense Forces 2 years
Federation of Economic Development and Cooperation 4 years
Foreign Affairs Union, Office of International Development 5 years
Foreign Affairs Union, Office of Humanitarian Aid and Assistance 5 years
Bio: Following a fruitful term of service in the FEDC in which he helped coordinate the construction of several maglev lines connecting major cities, Alistair pursued his dream of becoming a diplomat. He is recognized as a gifted speaker with a special interest in advancing humanitarian goals through diplomacy and has earned Danarkadia many friends abroad through his relaxed manner and obliging approach to other nations. Gracious and helpful when among friends, he can become a fierce and passionate opponent in debate. He is in attendance at the request of the Foreign Affairs Union out of national concern for any refugees that may be displaced.

OOC: Sorry I didn't find this thread earlier, nobody TM'd me the link.
TAG for now, response will be up tomorrow.
Welcome to the conference, Danarkadia and AMF.
You should RP the arrival of your delegates to the Vau Airport, then the train station.
I think we have enough people attending the Conference. Once a few more people post RP's of arrivals, then I can get this Conference underway.
Looking forward to this conference. :D

Danarkadians never travelled in style on their own and Alistair Alinsky was used to this. His arrival in Sharina via Vau Airport was, compared to other diplomatic delegates, proletarian: a business-class seat aboard a commercial passenger liner. Customs was already made aware of his arrival, so passage through the airport was thankfully expediated. Alistair would have waited in lines like anyone else, but the people of Sharina were kind enough to let him pass through with minimal molestation, other than a few courtesies and a visa stamp on his passport. Other passengers seemed somewhat surprised that a diplomat would travel so simply, but his general mannerisms were not of one possessing a position of prestige. Indeed, he was a native son of a land that had no concept of rank or prestige. He travelled alone, with nothing but the clothes he wore, which were modest but well made, and a rucksack that carried his personal items as well as papers, personal tablet computer, guidebook, and other tools of the diplomatic trade. The Vau Airport authorities thought it fit to assign him a guard, a man who became Alistair's travelling companion within the vast confines of the airport. Alistair thought this gesture polite, but rather unnecessary. Danarkadians didn't go out of their way to protect themselves when engaged in the business of diplomacy. Nonetheless, they chatted on the way to the train station, exchanging a few parting words as Alistair waited on the platform.
"This is an excellent airport. Very well planned. It reminds me of the one we have in Asgard." Alistair said cheerfully. He loved travelling and simply taking in new environments.
"Asgard, sir?"
"Oh, my home town back in Danarkadia. I'm not there often, but always glad when I am."
"Ah, I've never been." responded the guard. They had developed a good rapport on the walk across the airport, but the guard was a quiet man by nature.
"Not many people have. It's hard to have a tourism industry in a country that really doesn't use currency." The guard seemed a bit perplexed by this last statement and was processing this piece of information as a sleek train screeched to a halt in front of them "Well, this is my ride. Take care of yourself, brother, it's been a pleasure."
"Likewise, sir, I'll see you on the way out."
"Hopefully! This conference could prove to be interesting. But we shall see...long life, my friend!" And with a handshake, he boarded the train that would be the last leg of his journey to the conference.
Francesca Berenstein al-Dalal stepped on to the train two steps behind Alistair Alinsky.
"Oh my. Am I in the right train?"
Her two green-robed bodyguards looked at each other, rolled their eyes, and found comfortable places to observe from as Francesca cozied up to Alistair.
"Do you mind if I sit near you? These trips can be so long. And it is always pleasant to have someone nearby with which to chat."
She gives a slight bow of the head. "Francesca Berenstein al-Dalal, of the Sultanate of Vastiva. And you are?"

(All OOC, I'm afraid...)
Something came up... and participation will be difficult for me.... I may be gone for an unspecified (but not too long) time, so if the RP requires it, just assume everythings went just fine for Hakue. I'll try to rejoin as soon as I can, and I'm not pulling out, as I said, just a victim of circumstance.
Nova Hope
13-09-2004, 20:51
The small twin engine jet plowed through the clouds in the sky. Large and fluffy, they gave Alissa the impression of sleighing through snow, though she had never herself seen snow. Sitting down again she shook her head. The view, as spectacular as it was, was getting redundant with white clouds blocking visibility except for short burst where the sparkling ocean could be seen below. Watching her take in the sights like a child, the older man who shared the cabin with her chuckled,
“First time flying?” Alissa seemed taken aback by this as her traveling companion had slept for most of the trip.
“Why no, I simply find the view to be quite spectacular.” The man shook his head, dislodging strands of his silver hair. As if his mind simply released the topic and picked up another he spoke again.
“Have you prepared what you’ll say at this conference?” Alissa raised an eyebrow at this.
“The conference is to be spontaneous. While I do have our policy down, it is unlikely that I will have to explain myself. You on the other hand might have a difficult time in store.”
“Oh? How do you figure that?”
“Well I’m sure a nation that has declared the male gender to be inferior and now illegal will have some… qualms about being judged by one. Why did they even send you? There are many female judges that could’ve been sent.” The older man smiled at that and ran his fingers though his salt and pepper moustache. Answering slowly, Alissa got the impression that this man was wiser than his appearance let on.
“Well the reason I was selected is quite political. Its true that I am male and relation would’ve been smoothed if we sent a female, or better yet if we sent judge Alder, the transgender, she would’ve made a very interesting case as she beliefs that losing her masculinity was the best thing that ever happened to her.” Pausing a moment to sip from his glass, he licked his lips and looked at Alissa.
“I assume you noticed how most males reacted when the news of this reached the international community?”
“Yes it was deplorable; I can’t believe how any civilized person would plan to rape an entire country.”
“Well there are people in Nova Hope who were offended as well. They want a hard line taken with these feminists and some supported military action.”
“Egad do all men think with their dicks!?... Sorry.” The older man chuckled at this and raised his hand, as if to wave off any offence.
“No many men do not think with their dicks, our president for example believes that the medical expertise of these women is something that requires further investigation, regardless the reason I was sent was to make a certain statement,”
“What statement is that?”
“If you’ve noticed most diplomats on the roster are female. Country’s many times the size of Feminany are cow towing to their whims. This sets a precedent that Nova Hope is not willing to continue and as such they are sending me.”
“You?”
“Yes. As a male I will be appeasing the back benchers in the federal government if I, as a man, decide that Feminany is not overstepping their bounds of sovereignty. At the same time I’m showing the Feminists that though I am a man they have to live with the fact that I have a position of power in Nova Hope and it is my recommendations that will be deciding the tone for you to debate in.” Alissa scoffed a bit at that one. Turning her nose upwards a bit she quipped,
“Perhaps you are a bit to full of yourself. Do you really think that because you’re a man your opinion is more valid than mine?” The older man rested his soft grey eyes on Alissa’s, holding her gaze rapt to his.
“No, I think that because I was hand picked for this job by the President of the Dominion of Nova Hope.” The two were silent after that. Alissa, abashed that her tone had smacked of such prejudice, the older man comfortable that his point had been made didn’t see the need to further embarrass the young woman. Ahh the impudence of youth.
Some time later the team arrived at the Sharinian Port city. Stepping from the cabin Alissa breathed deep the salty sea air. Amazed at the lack of soot in the air she giggled,
“I do so love going on foreign delegations, the sky is always so blue.” The older man behind her chuckled, pausing to fit his large rifle through the door way, he spoke with a twinkle in his eye.
“We do have an unpolluted colonial empire that you could move to. Get the Noviet advantages and clean living.” Alissa wrinkled her nose at that, as if the thought of living outside the conveniences of NHC disgusted her. Recovering quickly, she nodded to the pilot as he came around with their bags. Carrying the hundred pounds or so of luggage as if it was no concern the pilot seemed almost surprised when the older gentleman took his duffel bag from him. In perfect Japanese the silver fox thanked the pilot and told him he preferred to carry his own things. The pilot nodded knowingly after a quick glass at the virile man. Healthy and walking with only a mild limp, he was a bit of a sight. The Right Honourable Judge Alfred Manning stood at six feet and two inches, with the assistance of an Ivory handled cane. With his cased rifle slung over his back and his canvas duffel on his shoulder he made no excuses for who or what he was, a proud man who had lived in the plains of Southern Nova Hope he was all that one could expect from a rural area. Worn calloused on his hands, a broad frame, his look seemed incomplete, but when he bent down to grab a hand bag from the pilot to help out one could see the sidearm was indeed present. Alissa however was the contrast you’d expect from a native born upper classer. With soft hands and a perfect complexion it wasn’t hard to tell that manual labour wasn’t her forte. Blond streaked hair done in a bun above and behind her head, to accentuate her high cheek bones, she was the stereotype of the woman who would fuck you in the morning but have your car repossessed by night fall. A ball buster, she knew men were here to either serve or get in the way. Walking purposefully across the tarmac her tall heels sounded purposefully, a rhythmic pace that she’d set her life by it was quick and efficient, yet at the same time excited those around her. Women eyed her cattily, appraising her, deciding if she was a threat or if they were being preemptive.
Entering the airport the three Noviets made their way over to the marked security booth for both directions and to register their weapons. Alfred nodded to Alissa and smiled,
“Ladies first, please.” With a nod of reciprocation she removed the small four shot pistol tucked into her garter. Hidden by the short white skirt it was a purely defensive model with no range and questionable accuracy at more than 10m. Alfred removed his sidearm for inspection. Finely tuned, his Noviet made rattler had several customizations which, according to Alfred were to, “.. help with my dueling. I can hit a man’s heart all fifteen times from a hundred metres with it.” His rifle on the other hand was old and worn. Still perfectly functional and well maintained the luster of the barrel had long since been lost to time. Both people coming within the stated limits for the weapons left only the pilot. Wearing several weapons of both ballistic, mechanical and melee nature he refused to disarm looking indignant at the suggestion he bowed deeply in a traditional Japanese manner.
“Good sirs. I will not be within the conference rooms, can we not accept the fact that I do not wish to be less armed?”
OOC: The pilot has a good many things in the way of weapons.
- Japanese styled sword with a blade that comes to a point of one molecule of carbon nanotubing
- Several throwing darts
- A SMG across his back
- Four pistols (two hip mounted and two shin mounted)
- An arm mounted crossbow. (Spring loaded its normally compressed)
OOC: Some quite nice RP's guys. Makes the conference more exciting! :D
Also, Nova Hope, your pilot / bodyguard will be permitted to possess these weapons in the interest of self protection.
However, 4 pistols seems a little excessive.
The SMG will be allowed to be brought to the conference, but will not be allowed inside the actual conference during meetings. Your bodyguard will still be permitted to wear the sword, darts, and crossbow at any time, in addition to two pistols (choose any 2 pistols).
This is in keeping with Sharina policy of keeping firearms to a minimum. We don't want any more incidents like in the Sixth Reich's conference with all the shooting and ambushing.
Other than that, pretty good. I will start off the train trip in 1 RL day, to see if AMF or any other people RP their arrival.
Then we can kick off this conference. :D

The guard looked indignant at this. Mollified that he might be accused of improper behavior he looked at the security with a scornful contempt. His voice seething with venom he verbally spat at the security officer.
“Sir I am honour bound for the best of behavior. The fact that you distrust me in this manner makes me think you question my honour. Were we in Nova Hope you and I would be at arms now and I would prove my honour with my blade.” Alfred seeing this transpire raised an eyebrow. Interjecting quietly he spoke in a calming voice.
“If its security y’all are worried about why not have a couple of extra men follow our good pilot around. You can bill Nova Hope for the added security costs. This way we’re not imposing too much with the weapons and security isn’t compromised.” Smiling in a disarming manner Alfred judged the reaction of both the samurai and the security officer.
When Ellywick stopped talking with the person from Sharina, she found herself alone. Train rides were so boring without someone to talk to. She determined that she would have to find someone to chat with. Luckily, there was a man, probably Greek, who had just gotten to the train without anyone to travel with. She walked over and said, "Hello there. I'm Ellywick Turen, Geruda's representitive here. Wanna have a chat on the train? They can be boring without someone to chat with."

The Sharinan officer looked at the samurai pilot.
"You have to understand that we aim to keep the potential of shoot-outs at a minimum. We wouldn't want people to start killing each other in the conference, then have wars erupt because of this.
We are honor bound to protect not only ourselves, but each one of you."
The officer then turned towards the diplomat.
"We shall accept your suggestion of providing extra guards to cover your Samurai, to make sure that nothing goes wrong. The pilot may retain all his weapons under this stipulation of extra guards.
It's just that we do not want a repeat of the failed Sixth Reich conference."

OOC: Sorry, RPing arrivals is boring and takes too much time.
Enough.
A commanding voice boomed from the shadows. The figure stepped forward from the darkness, and behold it was the fiery Lord himself. The Destroyer's eyes glanced about the room, and as he sized up the situation another figure presented itself: that of his son, Azrael. The pair walked forward in an imposing manner, their heads held high and their expressions cold and emotionless.
We were invited here to attend this 'Friendship Conference', and attend we will. Come now, let us squelch this bickering and focus on the topic at hand. Automagfreek cannot be without my presence or that of my son's for very long.
Dreadfire's voice was eclipsed only by the gimmering beauty of his ceremonial armor. It's silver magnificence gleaming as the beams of light danced and darted about. Both Damien and Azrael stood with their battle swords at thier waist, but Dreadfire waved a hand dismissively and assured that any weapon would not come to use here.
Come now, nobody here is stupid enough to try something, so let's put the mistrust aside. Dreadfire let out a bellowing laugh, and Azrael smirked ever so slighty. The Advocate was no stranger to death and war, but his father was a much more seasoned killer than him. This they all knew.
The Advocate stepped forward in front of his father and addressed the guests in a matter-of-fact tone, his facial expression that of stone and steel.
So, what would you hope to accomplish through this conference, hm? Come now, our time is valuable and there is much to discuss. Let us steal ourselves now and make discussion. Come!
The Parthians
14-09-2004, 04:45
The Parthian diplomatic aircraft pulled to a bumpy halt on the Sharinan runway. The great craft taxied into the diplomatic terminal and then stopped as a stairway was brought to the plane. The door swung open and two 'Immortals' in their dress uniforms stepped down, followed by Lord Dariush in the uniform of a field marshall with the ribbon of the Order of Ahura Mazda running from shoulder to hip, his pocket was covered in medals from a long career in the military, displaying his valourous deeds in his attack on Iraq back in 89. The noble then walked over to the staff car and told the driver to take him to the confrence.
OOC: Thanks for the tip, AMF. I'm trying to refine my RP'ing skills.
Also, should I jump right into the conference in Lodis and forget the train trip? Or should we open up a little dialogue on the train to warm stuff up?
Also, President Rand Veristek will be attending the conference in person, as he considers this conference one of the most important matters of state.

OOC: It's your RP, your call. ;)
I was looking for an opportune moment to jump in, and I happened to find a nice one.
Several hours later the final preparations were underway on the special IPR train reserved for the diplomats. Several last minute triple checks were being performed, and the engineer checked several systems on board the powerful E-88 class electric locomotive.
As the last few diplomats and delegates arrived, Sharinan security officers began directing all the diplomats to check their baggage. An additional train car was brought to the rear of the train for extra luggage and guards.
Sharian police officers and several members of the Bear Marines maintained their vigilance over the barricades seperating the standard Vau rush hour rail passenger traffic from the diplomats, delegates, and bodyguards.
The atmosphere remained friendly and open, as several Vau residents and Sharinan citizens behind the barricades shouted "Welcome, foreigners!"
A tall and determined man, wearing a jade and golden uniform, approached the crowd of delegates, then stepped up on a podium. A loud roar of approval could be heard from the Sharinan citizens, making several delegates jump in surprise.
The tall man spoke.
"Welcome, delegates of various nations to Sharina. I am President Rand Veristek, and I will be accompanying you on the train trip to Lodis, our City Above The Clouds. Once we arrive there, we can begin the actual conference to improve relations with not just Feminany, but with each other.
I truly hope that the train trip will provide you with new insights into Sharina and will give each of you time to get to know each other a little better.
Hopefully your stay in Sharina will be enjoyable with no regrets."
Rand Veristek then gave the traditional Sharinan salute, consisting of putting a closed fist on the chest and bowing the head slightly.
Rounds of thunderous applause could be heard from both the Sharinan citizens behind the barricades and the assorted delegates assembled in front of the train and the podium.
Several minutes later, Rand Veristek boarded the train, followed by all the assembled delegates. Each delegate found a spacious and comfortable seat, with fold-out tables with glasses of champagne.
The E-88 locomotive barely made any sound as it began powering up. Several murmurs could be heard from the delegates as the train began gliding out of the station.
A delegate raised his hand.
"This train doesn't feel like it is moving at all. I could just as well be sitting at the beach, or at a restaurant."
President Rand Veristek smiled as he replied.
"We have the world's most advanced railroad systems, employing an impressive array of technologies. You will be surprised at what our trains are capable of.
At any rate, I encourage each one of you to socialize to break the ice, so to speak."
The train began speeding towards Lodis.

Francesca Berenstein al-Dalal mentally compared the Sharinan train ride to her native countries bullet mag-lev vehicles. A touch quieter, perhaps, but speed we still have. And most certainly, more spacious. I do wonder why they limit the width so...
She smiled at her seatmate. "So, please to tell, have you been to Lodis before?"
Ellywick was suprised. Not many nations could say their trains were in the same class as Gerudan ones. This train was much larger, but Ellywick noticed that it probably couldn't reach the insane speeds of Gerudan trains due to the lack of heat shields. No matter. She walked on and sat down next to one of the representitives.
"Hello, I'm the representitive for Geruda. Please tell me, which country are you from?"

He is doing well, he currently has managed to help the Millatary system be orginsed, and the Emperor likes to talk to him about many things. And, If you are interested, Melawen is Preagnet, we belive it is a son, but it might be a daghter." He smiled. "How have things been? I mean we have lost a bit of comunication with you." He looked at the train. "Pubklic transport works well."

Alfarius smacked the techaddept. "Make it work damnit!" The addept scurried back and punched a few buttons causing the acient array to power up and send the eight foot marine to the other side of the globe.
Sharina, Lodis City
Alfarius dusted himself off, teleportation was such an accient technologie that it was very....uncomfortable.
As soon as he looked up he found several guns pointed it at him, elite forces training guns on him from all sides.
"Gentlemen, gentlemen, there is no need to point a weapon at the Dumpsterdanian diplomat." He whipped out his invitation and removed his helmet, showing his scarred face. As soon as someone took the invitation off him he handed over his weapons; a truly acient sword and a bolter with an Imperial eagle carved on it. "I heard that Lord Dreadfire is also enroute, I hope you can confirm this?" One of the soldiers, probably a sergeant nodded.
OoC: Sorry Sharina, coudn't resist realy...but no worries I'm not going to do anything stupid.

Hakue attempted to sit as comfortably as possible on the train, but the seats simply weren't designed for someone of her size. One of those little details that often gets left out when they tell you about all the important stuff. Who not to annoy, et cetera. Still, it seemed a lot more important now, just like how bloody hot it was here. She had brought her own fan, but it was hardly efficient. A cheap plastic construct, barely enough to move the hair sticking to her face because of the damned humidity. Sacrifices made for your nation, indeed.
The train ride was also most uncomfortable. Not only were the seats all wrong, but the speed hardly helped matters. Being crushed back against those implements of torture as it accelerated away was certainly not going to look particularly dignified... Not that it could be helped.
As the acceleration slowly reduced, Hakue relaxed. Nobody was with her, as per the instructions given to her. No aides, no firearms, nothing which could even possibly be attributed to intimidation on any level. How could anyone think that aides were threatening? The no firearms decision made sense. After all, what possible use would firearms be at a peace conference? But no-one to make life that little bit easier? She sent a net access request through her neurites. No response.
Well, obviously she reprimanded herself. "For the sake of equality among all diplomats, a Jordaxian representative is required to have any neurites implanted "De-activated" for the duration of the talks."
How did they propose they'd score points with that one? I mean, most nations wouldn't be able to detect the neurites, much less figure out whether they were on or not. Another little spanner, clogging up the works.
This is anticlimactic. First visit to this place, "birthplace of civilisation" and I'm boiling up on an admittedly expensive train, getting over being half crushed to death, and whining about my lack of creature comforts. Who would've predicted that?
She smiled vaguely, and tried to get some sleep before the train stopped and the talks commenced.
(OOC: I came back, and felt I had to post up something exclaiming it to the world.)
OOC:
I'd like to clarify a few things to help clear things up. My apologies if these were stated earlier.
First, the reason why everybody is taking a train is because Lodis cannot build or develop an airport. Its because Lodis is in the high mountains, like Ancient Incans (However, Lodis is a Modernized city like Los Angeles or NYC nestled throughout the mountains).
Second, the train pictures I posted links to give you a rough idea what the IPR train resembles. The actual IPR train has double decker cars, shares a lot of the Acela train's characterstics, and it captures 80% - 90% of the commute between major cities and such.
However, there are several First Class IPR trains, and the Diplomatic Train is one of them. To give you a better idea, I will provide a link to the interior that closely resembles the First Class trains.
Here's the link....
http://www.conferencetours.com/interface/main_photos/coe_interior_lady_on_couch.jpg
The First Class trains are reserved for diplomats, President Rand Veristek, honeymoon'ers, and people who want luxury. Think "Cruise Ship on Rails".
Third, when the train arrives into Lodis, I'm thinking of perhaps holding a small pre-conference party where more socializing and such can take place. The next day (NS day) the conference begins and we hammer out agreements and such.

Ludo Hienkel will be our represenative until the other Feminany Conference is over. His not a very friendly guy in general, mainly because he's the Chief Officer of Defence, but he's under strict from his least favorite person, Adolf Gorreing, Chief Officer of Forgein Affairs . Ludo Hienkel, a very impatient man, starts yelling, "WHERE IS SHE?!"
OOC:
If Feminany doesn't respond in 2 RL days, then we should proceed with the conference anyway (if only to cement friendships, trading, and alliances between the other nations).
If she comes back, we can include her in our conference without trouble at all (catching up and such).
Sounds good, guys?

"Do these conferences actually ever achieve anything?" the Secretary for Education and Science asked during cabinet.
Gordon Franks, Secretary for the Exterior, snorted. "They achieve an awful lot of talking. But no one's attacked Feminany yet, so that's something. The issue does seem to be interminable."
"So you're going?"
"We're commmitted to seeing peace in Feminany and establishing peaceful relations with Feminany and her allies on behalf of the Union of Friends. The trade payoff could be considerable."
A frown wrinkled the brow of the the Secretary for Education and Science. "Don't the Feminanians have some ... rather cruel policies?"
Franks laughed. "Your department funds behaviourial therapy for badgers. We all have our national idiosyncracies."
Ambassador Torvek entered trainstation a little late, but it wasn't too much of a worry as the train hadn't left yet. The nations president said something about welcoming everyone, but she just wanted to get this thing out of the way for the time being so she made an effort to look like she was interested while thinking about her role here... observation of the other guests would be key to her mission here, to determine their worth for the benefit of future relations.
Once the man had finished his speach the crowd in the background cheered the man and Joanna politely clapped the man for his words, making mental note of the others reactions. Afterwhich she got on the train.
She calmly took a seat which had been marked out for her and then took out her laptop and begun to do some work. She brushed aside some of her dark, straight black hair which had been mussed alittle by the breaze and read up on the latest affairs. She wished she had been the one picked for the Dominion assignment. Adam was a lucky bastard...
