Looking for other WWI era regions and nations

We are looking for other regions and nations located in the 1900-1918 time period, as we seem to be one of the few, and we are excluding nations/former nations of The German Empire, and Luchia's many puppet regions/nations. (No offense Luchia)

We are interested in alliances, and/or Roleplaying opportunities.

The Abargraptine People's Republic is currently in the grip of industrial as well as social/political/economic revolution, and considers steam-powered industry, hand-cranked machineguns, telegraphs, and iron ships to be about the height of technology, so I suppose you could call us close, at least.

Politically Abargrapt is increasingly comparable to post Great War Germany (with the New Eastgate Federation acting as our nemesis), and technologically to late C19th Europe and North America. Come the close of its renewed war on the relatively advanced but disunited and complacent Federation there should be a technological explosion moving the nation towards more C20th standards.

Edit: in the event that anyone should take an interest in the Republic, this thread: http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=319969 tells part of the story of the current order's rise from...well, from the gutter.
Here: http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=6944507&postcount=10 is a post detailing one of the nation's few serious warships, giving a basic idea of what its technological base can thus far achieve.

Essalieyan is the founder of an Imperial Dutch region, the Alliante Verenigde Maritieme Vrijstaadten (AVMVS). We would be very interested in forging an alliance with you, and naval construction is our specialty. We build all types of vessels from destroyers to Dreadnoughts, and at a reasonable price. Here for an example, is our newly developed Kruiserjager, a long range vessel that falls between the Armored Cruiser and Battlecruiser in capability.

ww1? bah!, one big stalemate, the troops go home. end of story.

Perhaps if you are a LAND power it doesn't make much sense, but we are a SEA power, and WWI is the heyday of the Dreadnought. It is in our interest to maintain the level of technology that allows us to rule the seas.
Abargrapt

In Abargrapt, talk of anti-aircraft batteries will probably be met with some confusion and the conclusion that, since modern ships can't possibly run on air, these must be weapons designed specifically to deal with ships of sail. Perhaps they've discovered the secret of Greek fire, an Abargraptine fellow might speculate, no doubt considering it all a little quanit.

Anyway, I fear that I must miss the point of Powdia's little interjection. It would have been splendid if the troops all went home, but I'm rather inclined to believe that a fair few million of them are still lying in various bits of foreign fields. It was an exceptionally wasteful conflict, but incredibly important at the same time, and full of human bravery, wit, and invention.

Oh, sorry, I mean it was from start to finish just two lines of troops in two big ditches, doing nothing. Certainly it didn't see some of the most dramatic fleet actions in history, nor the first serious use of air power in warfare or the creation of fighter aces and countless legends. Soldiers had been facing-down tanks since Attila the Hun swept into western Europe on a T-34, of course, and pfft, what wars don't pit Irishmen against Germans in Belgium, and Kiwis against Turks fifteen hundred miles away?

Yes, it was all pretty standard fare, really!

Well, for the record, Abargraptine military strength has been traditionally pivoted upon the (currently two hundred thousand* strong) army and its riflemen, supported by cavalry and artillery. This has been solidified by repeated victory against Federal musketeers and militiamen, of course.

*Abargrapt's population is played at something in the order of fifteen million regardless of what the national profile says, and come victory over the Federation, the Republic's domain shall be increased to cover more than forty million heads.

[OOC: I use a mix of WWI and WWII technology, but most of our culture and tradition comes from Napoleonic France (who would have guessed?).]
