President Grant sat in his black leather swivel chair reading the documents in front of him.
He was clearly irritated. "I don't give a fucking damn what the Congress says about this. I am the Commander in Chief of the South Pacific's armed forces. And I'll be damned if we let this opportunity to export democracy escape cause some wishwashy Congressman get all whimpy at the site of a little blood."
Secretary of State Alldridge replied cooly: "Mr. President, you can deploy the troops at any time any where, but they have threatened to withhold funding in which case, our troops would be isolated and basically marooned in a foriegn land without any way of defending themselves from attack."
Dave Richardson, the Secretary of Defense chimes in," You know Mr. President, if you were to get these Amerian fellows to pledge to adopt a democratic government, I am sure the Congress will fall into line."
President Grant thought a moment, "that's good a idea that just may work."
Turning to the Secretary of State, " I want you to contact these Amerians and ask them about their ideology. Tell them we will help them depending on what their ideology is."
To the Secretary of Defense: "I want you to have 45,000 troops ready to deploy to Ameria at a moment's notice."

"My heart leaps for joy that there is still hope in the world. To answer one of the transmissions that I had recieved earlier about whether Daloo is in NS. Your right, it isn't. The reason is, is because it had collasped earlier this year. (This was my original nation but my internet was disconnected for a while, so I would at least try to regain what civilization I had left and formed Amiria out of Daloo) Although I am very happy that you have decieded to help us, I can tell you that our ideology will be very simple. As soon as we win our independence we will create a Unicameral Federalism(democracy) that will up hold our peoples rights, because for the past 7-months they need their human rights established. Our intelligence indicates that Daloo has an armed force that numbers between 10,000-20,000. Her two allies have and armed force of about 40,000 combined. Us on the other hand have about 6,000 here at headquarters and about 10,000-12,000 nomadic rebels that have joined our cause. It will be a very tight margine for error on both your strategic landing and your ableness of getting to our country. Daloo's main force is there air armada. There is no more worring about civilians on Daloo's side because they have taken refugee in the northwest mountains. As the remain survivors were lead off by E.A. forces, the Revolution Cause suffered the worse defeat yet, the capture of the headquarters itself. As the E.A. began televising to the world, they showed clips of the raided base, both dead civilians and soliders, and the leading out of A.C.L Drake and C.C Soon. As they were lead out by the necks, the world knew that they would soon be gone. As they were lead out to behind the jet burners, they were tied up to the middle of them. Not one of them tried to resist, they sat there and looked up and yelled "freedom".

As the burners began to glow red, the rebeled leaders began to screem. The the pilot fired full throttle, and took off. Nothing was left of the remaining rebel leaders.

The three rafts slowly beached as 30 men dressed in C.T.C night gear climed out. All of the men and women are armed with SIG-Sauer P250 DCc and IMBEL MD-2 assult rifles (all stats are found at http://www.world.guns.ru/assault/as52-e.htm)
They all gatherd around a short stocky women with a slight mustache "All right troops we are about ten miles from the city of Gates, our mission is to find a way in and also to try and secure a landing spot for our troop planes. The soliders then split into three teams Alpha team being led by Capt. Margert hairymole (the stockey woman) Beta is led by L.T desmond Dare a ex-merc now working for the C.T.C specail forces the last team Zeta is led by Capt. Stepehn Wardog the Presidents Son. The three teams moved silently towards the city.

AASF(Axis AeroSpace Force) sends a SR-88A High Altitude Recce Aerospace craft to conduct real-time scans for evaluation of the situation in Aimira. Rumors persist among the media of redeployment of a "Banshee" class flying aircraft carrier and the mobilisation of a battalion of Paratroops and a Battalion of Airmoble Armor.

The Republic of Amistadia, would be willing to commit a company of over 200 Paratroopers from it's elite 1st Parachute Regiment as an advanced party. The Paratroopers would act as military advisors to Amerian Resistance Forces and, if needed, more para's from the Regiment could be brought in to conduct combat operations. However, recon has identified you and your allies and your opposition as fairly primitive technology wise. So as a future tech nation, it would be against protocol to alter your own course of development by providing military aid. However, we can provide basic medical aid supplies, and food supplies as a humanitarian effort.

The Axis Assembly is willing to provide support to the Amistadian Airborne troops with our "Banshee" class flying aircraft carrier, the AASF Thundercloud, providing air-superiority & close-support ground attack.

A Small Task Force of 200 Amistadian Paratroopers is in the air and en route to Amiria. They are in a holding pattern until Amerian Leaders grant them permission to enter the country. If and when our Paratroops receive permission to land they will be most pleased to accept Axis Support for their operations.

Axis forces will cooperate closely with the Amistadian forces upon their arrival in theater. AASF FACs(Forward Air Controlers) will land via VTOL transports and deploy with the Amistadian Paras and friendly local forces, they will be using their Utility vehicles( simular to the "Hummer") and the IATV-10c( much like the Russian BTR-90) to get around.

The FAC's will coordinate airstrikes and other close-support missions.

An aircraft carrier task force led by the ISS Bestehen, a Trimaran hulled aircraft carrier set out from Wilmington last night. In the convoy were three divisions of 20,000 troops each, along with an armored regiment including 100 tanks and 150 smerches.

The battleship ISS Volunteer, the first battleship built solely by the Portland Iron Works, left Portland with an escort group to join the task force. Commodore Charles Nelson Jr. sat aboard the Volunteer, eager to begin his first action as a command officer.

"Notify the Amirians that we're on our way," Nelson said from the command chair of the Volunteer. "Coordinate with them along the way using the coded channel."

Nelson watched as three Pasteur-class hospital ships joined the developing squadron and it set off toward Amiria at flanking speed.

The Surginian government sends you and your people our best wishes and support during this tumultuous time. We applaud and are subsequently willing to cooperate with you fully in your pursuit of independence and democracy. Major General S.R. Choice, Surginia's Chief of Combined Departments of Defense and our other DoD officials, military commanders, and strategists have closely weighed all realized options, and at this point, Surginia cannot committ troops and/or other military personnel to conduct combat operations. However, we are willing to send in relief workers and other types of humanitarian aid to help your oppressed citizens during this time of change. With your approval, will will send humanitarian and medical workers and supplies to areas in dire need while combat operations are still being executed, and more support at the conclusion of major military operations.

As a side note, Grand General Soon, that as Chief Commander of Surginia, I can tell you that our government has not completely dismissed the idea of aiding your nation militarily in the future. Our country is currently undergoing an extensive military re-organization, and entering combat "willingly" is not in our best interest at this moment. We are on the defense and fully capable of executing operations, but because of this re-organization and our country's genuine love of peace, we are hesitant to committ forces to any cause.

I am requesting confirmation of receipt of this message and instruction from you pending your acceptance of our aid. Let us know if you would like our help in this capacity; aid we provide for your citizens will not be seen as a financial debt to be paid back to us.

"I want to thank you for the overwhelming support that some of the world nations have shown. I am Tyler Bostian, the new leader of the community forces. We suffered a terrible defeat yesturday when our headquarters was captured. Although we lost important keys to our cause, new doors still open because of the help that is being shown. I do not dismiss any country that only wants to send medical and humanitarian aid. They will be greatly used when our Concentration Camp/Capital Glory Falls is liberated. With everyones forces combined, we are totally a mass army of 140,000 soliders. But as we are recieving help, so are the Dalooians. We are expecting an armed force of about the same number as ours. I am sending some of my top leaders to help guide you to your official destinations. A word of caution to my new friends! Daloo and her Empirical Allies are threating to use weapons of mass destruction to keep us from our goals. I am sorry it has to be a recorded message, but we can not risk another confrontation at this time. When all nations are in place, I will give word to start Operation Stomp. I also await the military advisors that will be giving us valuable tip on how to win the war."

Commodore Nelson listened to the threat of WMD use by Daloo with a grimace.

"Get me in touch with those bastards," Nelson said.

"Sir! That's a violation of standard protocol."

"I don't give a damn about protocol. Patch me through."

With doubt creeping into her voice, the lieutenant mumbled an "aye, sir" and set about the task. When a gruff, heavily accented voice acknowledged the transmission, she turend to Nelson and said, "you're on sir."

"This is Commodore Charles A. Nelson, Jr. of the Incorporated Sarzonian Navy. We have received your threat and we are displeased. I am only going to warn you once. If you use a single weapon of mass destruction against Amiria or any of her allies, we will retaliate swiftly and severely. Do not tempt fate." Nelson turned to the lieutenant and made a slashing motion with his right hand across his neck and the transmission ended.

Moments later, the Dalooians attempted to contact Nelson.

"Sir, they're trying to contact us."

"Let them eat static," Nelson said.

"Sir?"

"You heard me, lieutenant."

"Aye, sir."

A squadron of attack and guided missile launching submarines set out to rendevous with the squadron and the first set of fighters took off from the Bestehen to provide the standard air cover that Sarzonians were known to have over their fleets at all times.

"Sir, I'm getting a message from Navy Command. They've given us the authorization to use the tungsten rods if we need them."

"Splendid."

Nelson thought to himself. We've got 35 warships, 60,000 troops and the tungsten rods. They'll have a lot of work to do to stop that kind of force.

Even so, he wasn't going to take chances.

Raynor: "In a related story, the Defense Department has announced that Shalrirorchian engineer forces have been deployed to central Daloo with the permission of the government there, and that they are building bases to support further U.S. operations in the region. This is Jim Raynor, SNN News, reporting."

The United States has begun airlifting elements into the country, including a paratroopers detachment and an armored cavalry division. The initial deployment is slated to be 10,000 men with supporting vehicles (helicopters, tanks, APCs), but Shalrirorchia will be able to build forces in the region rapidly once airbases have been constructed.

The 3 Transport Planes, each packed with paratroopers swept in low, bearing down on the Amerian Highlands were many of Amerian Rebels were located and based from. As they nimbly darted low over the landscape to evade Enemy Radar, the red "ready" light flashed to life. Immediately the paratroopers rose to their feet and checked their equipment, then waited silently for the....GREEN LIGHT! GO! GO! GO! In a flash paratroopers ran up to the door and dissapeared into the night sky, coming down in a tight pattern on a small drop zone outside a friendly Amerian Rebel village.

Captain Zach Bogart, Leader of the force immediately rallied his men together and established communication with AxisAssembly Carriers that were above the force of paratroopers to relay the message that "PLAN BLUE IS IN EFFECT" (aka: They had arrived successfully) The paratroopers quickly set out to find Amerian rebel leaders. In a matter of minutes they linked up with the Amerian Rebels and marched 3 miles to the nearby village. As many of the Para's rested momentarily and ate, Bogart and some of his Commanders discussed the tactical situation with Amerian Rebel Leaders. It was quickly decided that the Paratrooper's would base their operations out of the village where they would train Amerian Rebels and, if needed, bring in more paratroopers to carry out their own assault. As morning approached the Paratroopers and the locals began constructing elaborate defensive positions all around the town, with much more left to do....

The U.S. has begun operations in Daloo. Mostly air reconnaisance at the moment.

The most important location for the U.S.S. in this region is Hawk Air Force Base, located outside of Daloo's capital. HAFB serves as both the headquarters of Lieutenant General John Sharana (the commander of the operation in Daloo) and the location for the Orbital Uplink Center. The OUC links the entire Shalrirorchian force into their orbital-based battle system known as MILSTARS. MILSTARS allows the commanders to keep track of every one of their soldiers on the ground, as well as their condition and even how much ammunition they have. It allows seamless military operations by putting everyone...Air Force, Army, and Navy on the same playing field. MILSTARS is unquestionably the ace-in-the-hole for the Shalrirorchians...it cost -billions- to implement.

At this hour, the combined forces of our nations are engaged in a struggle to free the Amerian people from the grip of a tyrannical Daloo Occupation. But Now, with the arrival of forces from Shalrirorchia to assist the Daloo in their oppression of Amiria, we MUST unite, or face defeat.

At it's start our rescue mission was with good nature and in a spirit of International Cooperation, but now, It has become fragmented and disjointed. Amiria has not one friend, but many, The problem with that is...We are each fighting a different war, with no cooperation with one another. As noble as this may be, It is also foolish. Amistadia proposes the formation of an allied force to coordinate our efforts. Many Nations that will work as one to defeat the Daloo Occupation and free the people of Amiria!

Amistadian Paratroopers and AxisAssembly Forces have already established a base of operations deep inside the rugged Amerian Highlands. I propose that we establish an Allied Base there and coordinate all our efforts (Air Attacks, Ground Offensives, and Aid Shipments) from this location. Amistadian and Axis Forces have ensured that the area is fairly remote and well defended!

Amistadia requests all Allied Nations indicate here of their intentions to join a Coalition for the Liberation of Amiria. Who's with us!?

In precisely :30 minutes, we will do one of two things or maybe both. We will exterminate New Petra or we will slaughter you. As a word of caution, you will not be able to get to Amirian capital, Glory Falls, because we have surrounded it with 50 anti-air craft cannons and and mile radius of mines around the city itself. As E.A forces quickly retreated to out skirts of town, the rebeled prisioners were all forced into a YMCA gym. As most of the soliders began putting on there goggles, the connection was made to the two bombs resting inside the First Baptist Church of New Petra. As the doomed looked around to each other, they knew that there was no more hope but to look forward to heaven.
"Sir, the connection is established, we only have a minute to execute the order." said an E.A. solider.
"Patch me throught to headquarters." replied EA General Tops
"Patched through"
"Commander, is there not any way we can avoid this mass genocide." G. Tops
"If you defy my order one more...Wait, give the phone to some one standing right beside you [the phone was handed over] Shoot G. Tops, inbetween the eyes."
"Yes, Sir!" said with enthusasim
[As he pulled out the gun, he turned to G. Tops and.....then he quickly turned to the connection officer and pulled the trigger.]
When he pulled the trigger, the limp body fell on to the button that controlled the bombs....but luckily the minute had been up just seconds before.
"We will hang for this...get troops in there and dismantle those bombs and set those rebels free."

As the were in the city helping for the cause of freedom, the former E.A. forces worked with the rebels like they have never seen before. :fluffle:
As E.A. planes roared into skyline, they began dropping bombs everywhere. When it was finally over, not a single bomb had touched anyone. However, the city was 45% destroyed.

Sirs -

While Surginia has not yet made a committment of troops to Amiria, we have definite plans to provide medical and humanitarian aid both during combat and after. However, we are closely monitoring events as they transpire. Should the oppressive leadership of Daloo continue to intensify - particularly with the deployment of nuclear, chemical, or biological weapons - against innocent civilians and Amirian "rebels" seeking liberation, Surginia will re-evaluate our current decision to not take military action. In the event that Surginia does deploy troops and/or other military units or forces, we will proudly stand by Amistadia's side while engaging the oppressive enemy for the natural rights of the Amirian people.

Right now, my defense and human service departments are preparing to send workers and supplies into the area to assist the liberation effort. Despite the fact that these workers are non-combatants, count the Armed Republic of Surginia in with your coalition.

Within minutes of receiving warning reports from Amerian Resistance Fighters that a Daloo Attack against Amistadian Airborne Troops was imminent, Captain Bogart requested an emergency resupply of his force in the small remote highland village. Immediately, Transport Planes flying non-stop from Amistadia swooped in low and dropped reinforcements. In minutes the task force grew from 200 to 500 men. The men of the 4 Para (4th Parachute Battalion) had arrived en force to secure the town. The battalion established a massive defensive perimeter with the help of swarms of Amerian Rebels and, most key of all, Amistadian Paratroopers established ADA Positions (Air Defense Artillery) throughout the town. HMMWV's mounted with Rapid Fire Avenger Anti Aircraft Missiles dotted the landscape. With the force having arrived Lieutenant Colonel Bill Hawker (Known by his troops as "The Hurricane") gathered the men of 4 Para together for a breifing.

"Gentlemen, I wish I could be meeting with you under with happier news but that is not to be. We have received word that Daloo has decided to target the very ground you are standing on in the first shots of this war. Once again, the brave men of Amistadia's Elite Parachute Regiment find themselves at the tip of the spear and in the thick of the action! It can only be a mark of how elite you are that the Daloo Leader Luther, with so many other nations landing THOUSANDS of troops in Amiria, has chosen to attack the force of just 500 Paratroopers in a remote village. Sec of State: Our forces have landed a battalion of paratroopers inside New Petra, the town that was targeted by Daloo Bombers. Axis Forces can win air support over Daloo with Banshee Flying Aircraft Carriers and their Fighters and Bombers but Daloo Leaders have warned us that we should not attempt to land Airborne Troops in their captial.

Sec of Defense: Those arrogant SOB's! Who do they think we are!? Some crackpot, 3rd World Nation!? Our paratroops will be able to wipe the floor with them!!!!

Joint Chief of Staff: Mr Secretary of Defense calm yourself! A direct Airborne Assault against the Daloo capital is not the solution to this crisis! Even if we were fortunate enough to succeed and take the capital we would suffer tremendous casualties in the process. Right now, 4 Para has turned New Petra into a virtual castle. Its defended by 500 Paratroopers and hundreds more Amirian Rebel fighters and the arrival of Air Defense Artillery teamed with OVERWHELMING Axis Air Support means we wont have to see another Bombing Mission against it. Within hours of the President's order, Amistadian Paratroopers began to rigorously train Amirian Rebels. The Paratroopers hoped to build a large, active, guerilla army that would lurk through the country side of Amiria. They would ambush any force that moved into Amiria and then disappear into the lands that they had grown up in and therefore have a vast more knowledge of than the Daloo Troops they face. Colonel Hawker explains, "We need Amiria to have a major guerilla army. The International Community can fight Daloo in the Air and Conventionally on the ground but if Amiria uses guerillas to ambush the hell out of anything they dont like, Daloo will grow sick of this war in Amiria. It'll become a quagmire. A deadly pit of quicksand, sucking up valuable men and material. With any luck, Daloo will eventually get fed up and pull its troops out.

The 117th will clear area ahead for a small shipment of the venerable M-18G2 assault rifles (the MX-22 is still designated experimental, and not enough can be procured for aid) and various ammo and attachment types for the various types of configurations of the M-18G2, and for the 117th's MX-22s. If necesssary, I will pledge another Legion to assist in your efforts.

Colonel Fry stood up stiffly, clearly uncomfortable in his dress uniform "Thank you sir, sirs, I propose we dispatch a Fremen batallion (15 000 men) to Aimiria along with one of our challenger class carriers." He pressed several buttons on his key pad highlighting several villages and rivers on the map "The Fremen will infiltrate via these key water-ways and attempt to contact resistance cells in these out-lying villages, once we have made contact several hundred of our men will begin training Indigenous Forces in geurilla warfare while the remainder of the force will begin a systematic series of raids against enemy positions and search for the nukes." The Shalrirorchian forces in the Aimira Conflict Zone (ACZ) now total 25,000 troops with supporting vehicles. Although not yet strong enough to unleash the type of direct assault that Lt. General Sharana has in mind, the U.S. IS providing Daloo with fire support from Comanches and other helicopter gunships, as well as periodic airstrikes from F-16s. Approximately four squadrons of 10 fighters apiece are now stationed in ACZ, as well as nearly 50 combat helicopters (other helicopters are present, but transports).

OOC- Feel free to include Shalrirorchian air strikes in your rp (in isolated squad-level battles). Typical U.S.S. procedure is to use airplanes in areas where AA is expected, and helicopters in close-support missions. The Shalrirorchian Congress reacted quickly to the Amistadian declaration by enacting sanctions against Amistadia at the request of President Tarumigan Gistarai, who is currently running for reelection.

"Anyone who supports terrorists like the Aimirans are enemies of freedom. We WILL preserve freedom." the President said to rousing applause in the mostly liberal-dominated Congress (The President is also a liberal-progressive).

The Defense Department has announced plans to deploy three more divisions plus reinforcements to the ACZ, bringing the total number of Shalrirorchian Defense Forces there to over 50,000 troops (5 divisions). The transfer is already underway. In addition, Secretary of Defense George Beregovoy said that the U.S.S. is preparing to deploy up to an additional 100,000 troops. "Whatever is required." Beregovoy told reporters. "The President has told us to crush the terrorist rebellion, and we intend to do just that."

There is controversy tonight regarding the deployment of Amistadian FA-29 tanks. The Shalrirorchian "Crusader" tank is the principal armored vehicle of the Defense Force, but military planners have been mum on whether or not the Crusader, now almost fifteen years old in terms of design, is a match for the FA-29.

Amistadia News Network has learned that Amistadian Ground Forces have launched Operation: Determined Shield, the long awaited arrival of SIZABLE Amistadian Ground Forces in the region. Just after midnight, local time a force of 10,000 men from Amistadia's Famous and Elite 1st Airborne Division parachuted into Amiria. The 1st Airborne seized key roads and intersections as well as cross road towns in low-lying coastal areas for follow-on forces. 1st Airborne Troops expected minimal resistance and met such. Since the Drop Zones are inside Amiria itself, the Paratroopers faced only scattered Sniper, Rocket and Mortar fire from Daloo Loyalists.

At dawn, The Amistadian Ground Armada of 60,000+ Troops landed on the Islands shores. Men of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Infantry Divisions wading ashore ahead of the 1st Armored Division and linking up with the paratroopers. Finally, Amistadian Naval Transports moved in close and offloaded the 1st Armored Division. The Combined Task Force of well over 60,000 men has encamped in Amistadia's In-Country Forward Operating Base, The position of which remains Classifield. Task Force Commanders expressed confidence that the 5 divisions of assorted troops would bring victory with time.

"I can't think of a better team." commented General (he got promoted) Bill Hawker "The Elite 'Best of the Best' Paratroopers from 1st Airborne teamed with the tenacious men of the 1st 2nd and 3rd Infantry Divisions and the un-stoppable 1st Armored with their infamous FA-29 Tanks is a great combo." General Bill Hawker, more popularly known as "The Hurricane" strode briskly into the large hangar at 'Liberty Airfield' on the Amistadian Base in Amiria. "GENTLEMEN! TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE! So I will be breif! We've just received orders from Amistadia....The Danger of Daloo Nuclear Strike is too great a risk to avoid. OPERATION: NIGHT THUNDER IS A GO!!!!" The Hangar roared to life as the assembled force of 2 battalions from the 1st Airborne Division rorared with approval. "AIRBORNE! ALL THE WAY!" Shouted the 1,000 Paratroopers. The Para's faces smudged with camoflauged paint and loaded down with combat gear began loading into their C-141's as commanders reviewed the daring, some said suicidal, plan for the Raid.

A Force of 12 C-141 Starlifters (Two squadrons of 6) with each squadron carrying a Battalion of Paratroopers would evade Daloo Radar and nimbly fly deep into the jaws of the Daloo Country. 1st Battalion would parachute onto the Air Force Base where Shalrirochian Forces were based at. Simultaneously, 2nd Battalion would attack the Great Falls Nuclear Reactor and Planning Area. 1st Battalion was ordered to take the Airbase at all costs (and everyone knew the cost would be severe) and defend it from counterattack. Once they took it, more transports would land and offload helicopters to provide gunships for the raid. While this was happening, 2nd Battalion would attack the Daloo Nuclear Facilities. Elements of the Battalion would carry out all the neccessary tasks to cripple the Daloo Nuclear Program and capture the Atomic Weapons the nation already had. Key to the plan was the wipe out of Daloo Air Defense Missile Sites which could obliterate C-141's! After 2nd Battalion destroyed the Daloo Nuclear Program and captured the warheads they would move by airdropped HMMWVs and under gunship cover to the airfield captured by 1st Battalion where all would fly out.

Just as Daloo had warned, Enemy radar detected the Attack Force as it approached. The Alarm Bells tolled out and, horribly, the entire Daloo and Shalrirochian Force was awake and waiting for the Para's. All over the Drop Zones Paratroopers descended into murderous gunfire and cannon fire. General Hawker himself (who personally led the daring raid) landed in a squad of patrolling Infantry and was BADLY Wounded taking a severe gunshot to the leg. Despite his injuries, he bravely tried to lead his men, using his gun as a crutch. "GOD DAMMIT! TOO MANY OF THOSE BASTARDS ARE WIDE AWAKE AND WAITING FOR US!" The Element of Surprise was not theirs. Paratroopers all over the area popped smoke grenades in a desperate last ditch effort to try and find cover from murderous fire. The tide turned. The smoke did little to give cover but in the confusion of the battle the Daloo Commander mistook the smoke for gas and sounded the "GAS" Alarm. Across the base Daloo and Shalrirochian Troops scrambled to get into their protective suits, giving the paratroopers a critical minute or two too assemble together.

Banding together into small nots of determined survivors of the disasterous drops. The paratroopers battled to their objectives. As a platoon of paratroopers scrambled to knock out the last Anti Aircraft Battery, the battery got off a missile! One of the slow, lumbering C-141's below took a direct hit and crashed into the city below. Killing the crew and countless civilians below. With Airborne Casualties mounting high, the Paratroopers knocked out the last few Nuclear Reactor Fuel Sites. With the mission at the Nuclear Site accomplished, Paratroopers from the force loaded into their HMMWV's. Since many had been destroyed in the fight, some resourceful Para's hotwired vehicles and drove to the Shalrirochian Airfield that 1st Battalion had also had a hard fight to secure. Forming a rag tag perimeter the paratroopers loaded into their transports, retreating further and further until Hawker led the last band of para's onto the last transport out. Where he talked with 1st Battalion's Commander, Matthew Wilkes.

Wilkes: God-damn. That was a tough fight. I didn't know if we would make it there. How'd 2nd Battalion fare?

Hawker: Thank god for smoke grenades. They thought it was gas. That was all that saved us. We managed to knock out the Nuclear Facilities, but we have some heavy losses.

Wilkes: Of the 600 men we brought in with us we lost 150 I'd say. Hundreds more wounded.

Hawker: 2nd Batt has 200 dead minimum. We got the job done. God damn! 350 Paratroopers at least, MAYBE MORE, just to make sure those madmen didnt use some Nukes.

Wilkes: I guess it was worth it. They cant play the Nuke card now.

Hawker: I hope it was worth it. Because we sure as hell took a beating to get those Nukes out of their.

"That will not be a problem because of the coliation forces that are landing here and there and especially in Hides." replied Amirian Leader Bostian.
"What is your first plan?"
"My first plan is to meet personally with each of the nations leaders that are helping in this cause, then I will personally ride into battle and liberate Glory Falls from the concentration camp status."
"Do you not think that the 200,000 soliders that are expected to land between now and next month is not OVERKILL."
"Yes I do think it is overkill, but thankfully they will not be used unless things turn completely sour in our favor, instead; with each city liberated or captured, they will provide police services."
"Do you think your going to win this war with in the next several weeks?" asked the reportor

Tonight, On my order, 2 Battalions of Amistadian Paratroopers conducted a daring raid deep into Daloo Territory in the hopes of destroying the Nuclear Threat posed by Daloo and her allies. Our Commanders knew that the Airborne Troops would suffer severe casualties in this task, but we also know that a Nuclear Strike would be far more disasterous for the world.

People of Amistadia and the World...I am pleased to inform you that our Mission was successful! Reports are sketchy but we know that we have destroyed Daloo Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Capabilities. Furthermore, Amistadia pledges not to use it's NBC Weapons in the scope of this conflict. It was a tough battle and at least 300 of our brave servicemen are dead, let us all share a moment of silence for them..........

Yet, With their loss. Amistadia has once again shown the world, That it will not tolerate the unparalleled evil of Weapons of Mass Destruction in the hands of the enemies of freedom loving people. It was our costly sacrifice to pay such a price for their removal. But now, we stand ready to back Amiria. An Amiria that can live free! Not chained by the dreadful fear that they will awake to a bright flash and see a Mushroom Cloud billowing over their native land.

In this raid, I am deeply regretful to say that there were Civilian Casualties. During the battle, a Daloo AA Missile shot down one of our C-141 Transports which crashed into a nearby town. The deepest, heartfelt sympathies of the world go out to these innocent bystanders who were unfortunate enough to be caught in the cross-fire. Amistadia stands by its word when it states that, if requested, despite on-going hostilities with Daloo....We will send Aid to those civilians and those civilians alone. We must take responsibility for that loss.

All nuclear missle silo's are fully ready and opperational. Only I need touch a button! I have already targeted each of your nation's capitals with over 13 nuclear missles. We have the upper hand! If I have reports of any more landings, I will launch the first missle at Amistadia's capital. Next to Texas and Colorado...and so on. As for the troops, you have 14 days to evacuate our borders and let us return to our own life style. Failure to comply will result the same way for any more landings of soliders. To show that we are not playing GAMES, we will launch our first missle at New Petra in 3 minutes." spoken by E.A. leader Luther as he laughed.

With in seconds, a vast mushroom cloud engulfed the horizon of Hides. No more was there any armed factions of allied and Amirian forces in New Petra. No longer was there a New Petra.
"My power has been shown, if any missles are launched at my capital or any other city, the same will happen to you. Leave my country NOW!!!"

Little did they know that the special anti-missle systems installed by Amistadian forces brought the missle down 42 miles from the city. Although there will be severe radiation fall out over a 26 mile radius, no harm has fallen any civilian casualties yet. However, Daloo has shown its strength with its WMD arsenal.

Leader Luther, You must be sensible over this. Much of your Nuclear Arsenal was destroyed by Amistadian Airborne Forces...You no longer have the ability to produce Nuclear Weapons. If you use all your weapons, Your nation will be defenseless against counter-attack. I might add that Amistadian Air Defense Artillery Forces equipped with Patriot and Avenger Missiles were able to defend New Petra from a Nuclear Assault. This was within your own borders! A Nuclear Missile would have almost no hope of reaching the 10,000 Islands, and even if it did, Amistadian Missile and Air Defenses have had YEARS to prepare for such an assault and are defended by a state of the art Missile Defense Program. Furthermore, A Nuclear Strike against Coalition Forces intervening in Amiria would kill MILLIONS of innocent civilians around the world and would relegate your nation to International Upheaval. NO-ONE wants to see Nuclear Weapons used. That is why over 300 Amistadian Paratroopers were killed. To stop a Nuclear Threat.

I can not speak for the other nations but threatening my country with Nuclear Assault will not disway me from intervening in Amiria. I currently have a force of 60,000 Troops in Amiria, The Coalition has a total of over 200,000. I will not back down. My 60,000 men will defend Amiria to the last shot. We will not be swayed.

I implore the Daloo President to back down on his Nuclear Threat. Keep the weapons you have left as a detterent. Should you use them, you are not merely endangering the survival of all Coalition Nations...but your own as well.

Stop the Nuclear Brinkmanship. Settle this dispute diplomatically if you can, Militarily if you must. But not with Nukes.

Nearly every television set in Surginia flashed images of the brutal - and unfortunately nuclear - war raging in Amiria and Daloo. To the peaceful country's citizens, the battle seemed far, far away... until the oft-cinematic images of large explosions and sleek war jets were interrupted by that of Chief Commander of State K.P. Greene standing behind the large, wooden podium in Senate Hall....

"Members of Surginian Legislative Body, people of Surginia, and our coalition of allies-

"Surginia is prepared to assist Amistadia and Amiria - immediately - with humanitarian/medical aid to civilians affected by the Amistadian C-141 crash.

"Four-hundred-and-fifty relief workers, including medical personnel, are presently en route via air to Amiria. They will await permission to enter before going into Amirian air space, and they will await clearance from Amistadia's chief commander of operations (the assumed coalition leader) before entering any area. These protocols must be strictly followed to ensure the safety of Amirian citizens and relief workers, as they are classified as civilians. More workers will be available soon - or later - if needed.

"To the humanitarians and philanthropists entering harms way and their families: your service is appreciated greatly, and will reflect positively on you and Surginia. This will not be easy. Your safety is not guaranteed, but it is this government's number one priority - rest assured. In the event of casualties, no loss will be in vain.

"To the Amirian civilians: seek shelter and absolutely avoid becoming involved in non-coalition-coordinated combat. Help is on the way. The light of your liberation is becoming larger and brighter at the end of this tunnel.

"To the Coalition and its Allies: we are willing to assist you in your likely upcoming ground operations. Surginia may be a small nation, but what we represent is not. We know not fear of what is wrong, because we embrace what is right. Several already active units are preparing to be mobilized. Their equipment has already been re-evaluated and is en route towards the area. A currently undecided amount of inactive guard units will be called up to assist in post-combat reconstruction and reorganization operations. If necessary, these units will provide military reinforcement and additional humanitarian aid.

THE WAR RAGES ON
Today, all across Amistadia, The War in Amiria is painfully close to the surface. The Proud Flag of Amistadia, adorned by the National Animal...The Dragon flutter defiantly in the breeze of what seems to be every building in the country. Countless Yellow Ribbons are tied around countless trees and Amistadian citizens are glued to their television sets for news from the front in Amiria. Last Week's duel shock of a Nuclear Blast in a remote portion of Amiria (apparently after Amistadian Anti-Missile Units knocked out an en route missile) horrified the nation, but the news of Amistadia's daring Parachute raid into Daloo's capital, Great Falls struck a deep chord of pride with the citizens of our nation.
"Our boys had a job, it was a tough job, but they went in there and by god they did it, they battled on through all sorts of problems and got rid of Daloo's Nuke Program" said Frank Abnell, a senior citizen enjoying a walk in a local park who was interviewed by A.N.N. The sentiment seems to be the same all over the nation, were the men of the 1st Airborne Division and their heroic and charismatic leader...General Bill Hawker (aka: The Hurricane) are national heroes. Posters showing Amistadian paratroopers landing in Daloo with bright led letters emblazoned on the top "THEY GOT THE GUTS! NOW GIVE THEM THE GLORY!" Plaster communities where support for the war is strong. Support remains high for Amistadia's allies as well.

The President has stated that Amistadian Troops from the 1st Armored Division (already in Amiria) have been mobilized to help defend Aid teams from Surginia. In Southern Amistadia where there is a large Immigrant population, the news of the loss of Recon Troops from ally, Texas and Colorado as well as Daloo's promise to use Nuclear Weapons against Texas and Colorado was heartening. "Gone but not forgotten!" Roars one former Texas and Colorado Native "I am as proud to be an Amistadian as I am a Texan-Coloradan! I am not surprised that MY COUNTRIES, Some of the best nations on earth, are now partners against a madman who would use Nukes!!! GOD BLESS THEM BOTH!" Allies from all over the globe have united to help liberate Amiria.

The United States moved today to severely rebuke Daloo for the use of an atomic weapon. "I don't think we have any words to describe the revulsion we feel." President Gistarai said on "Meet The Nation", a Shalrirorchian Sunday talk program.

The President did not comment on the sliding popularity regarding the war at home, which may threaten his reelection chances. Recent polls show the race a statistical dead heat between the President and his Conservative opposition.

Even more worrying for the President are the numbers regarding his handling of foreign affairs. A recent poll taken after the nuking shows that 60% disapprove of his decision to deploy troops to Daloo in light of the WMD attack.

-Aboard the NNF Challenger-

The 15,000 Fremen shocktoopers assembled in the ship's massive hanger deck, Colonel Fry stood on a platform infront of them looking much more comfortable in his light BDU's "Today we embark on a nobel campaign. We will deal a decisive blow against the tyarnous nation of Daloo and her allies. We cannot lose for we fight, FOR FREEDOM!" The crowd erupted in a roar "Report to your platoon leaders we leave as soon as we reach the coast."

Lieutenant General Sharana snarled quietly at his subordinates, staring at them via the video uplink from MILSTARS.

"Sir?" one of the Major Generals, Budenny asked, looking fairly pale.
"You heard me. Reinforce the U.S.S. details around any remaining Daloo WMDs under the aegis of the United States of Shalrirorchia. The nuclear card is not going to be played again. I won't have those maniacs use another atomic bomb." Sharana repeated.

"Yes sir." Budenny replied. "What about the Rebellion?"

"MILSTARS surveillance is reading activity on the coast. We won't know the exact dimensions of it for another 8 hours...our satellite passed by the region before we could really focus. We need to wait for another pass." Sharana replied evenly. "I am deploying the U.S. Third Armored Cavalry Division from our main force to strike at the beaches already, however. We will drive whatever is there back into the sea."


LANDING BEACH (Fremen Force)-

Shalrirorchian Master Sergeant Ted Kolmann was bored.

Kolmann had been assigned to guard this part of the beach with his company...the 15th Army Battalion had responsibility for holding this territory. It was away from all the action. The poor amount of light from the moon cast a pale blue over his body armor, the reflective, sticker-sized U.S.S. flag painted onto his shoulder paldron gleaming.

Kolmann swung his AR-15 rifle, the built-in electrical torch spreading over the beach below. Nothing. He snorted, and reached into his pocket to retrieve a cigarette.

An explosion up beach from him brought an end to that leisurely activity, and Kolmann swore as all around him, AR-15 fire was traded with unidentified attackers that seemed to melt out of the darkness. "REPORT!" he roared into his boom mike, but the U.S.S. soldiers were already panicking.

"Over there! Fire! Fire!"
"Enemies on the right flank! SUPPORT IS NEEDED HERE!"
"There's too many of them!"

Kolmann cursed and slammed a 60 round clip into his rifle, and fired it all off in a matter of seconds at the attacking forms that seemed to vanish before his eyes. Too many of them. He reached up and flipped the broadcast on his boom mike. "U.S.S. Fireteam Zulu to Shalrirorchian Mortar Battery Omega, request fire sector one, seven, four, coordinates mark....URRRRK!"

Kolmann crumpled to the ground, victim of a well-placed shot by a Fremen sniper.

The Fremen rushed over the prone body to press the attack against the reeling Shalrirorchian troops.

Shalrirorchian Attack Helicopter Wing

Three Shalrirorchian Comanche attack helicopters roared in nearly twenty minutes after Kolmann's abortive distress call, escorting three heavy transport helicopters.

"Strafing." Eagle One radioed, running the length of the beach and unloading with fragmentation rockets and machine guns.

The other two attack helicopters covered the transports as they dove to ground level to snatch up the few survivors of Kolmann's unit, saving them from certain death. Retreat.

-Landing zone A-

Fremen troops scrambled for cover from the hail of death brought down by the commaches, Col. Fry began restructuring the strategy to fit this new threat "Jackson, where are the stingers? Halleck get our men moving to the treeline, we'll be harder to pick off there."

Soldiers started moving again staying low to the ground and moving with almost impossible speed. When the first Fremen reached the trees they set up the Stingers, the missiles cutting lines across the sky, to the pilots credit only a couple made contact with their targets and then only one brought the 'copter down.

The transport helicopters, finished loading the survivors, lifted off under heavy fire, staying low to the ground they managed to keep the stingers from getting a radar lock and get away.

"RANGEEERS! Front and CENTER!" Gardener yelled.

There was a rustle of armor. The Rangers were Shalrirorchia's finest Special Forces, though all claims to their official existence were denied by the U.S.S. government. Their armor, which covered them literally from head-to-toe, was composed of composite materials which, although light and flexible, gave them superb protection. It was important that each and every piece of it fit -flawlessly- against the Ranger's body, since they often had to move in stealth and a great speed. It was currently painted a dull, non-reflective black. They were pantherlike in more than just appearance...to be a Ranger was to be a cut above the rest. Out of 100 applicants, perhaps only 2 would be selected for training.

Colonel Gardener, also known as Ranger One for this time, was perhaps the toughest of the lot.

"Welcome to the ACZ. In fact, welcome to the Argyle Special Operations Base." Gardener said, gesturing to the ramshackle structures behind him that they had comandeered for use from Daloo.

"I think we need Tetanus shots just from LOOKING at it, SIR!" one of the rangers said.

Gardener grinned, always one to appreciate a sense of humor. "I'll tell you what's REALLY funny. These Amistadians and Aimirans think they can actually beat US."

All the rangers offered up exaggerated laughter, and Gardener felt his spirits rise. You had to be a little crazy to be a ranger.

"All right, heads up, gentlemen. We are here under the command of General Sharana. In the coming days, we are going to educate A&A, as we like to call them, that you don't mess with the U.S."

General Hawker looked at the reports of fighting in front of him "So these Shalrirochians think they can use those POS Crusaders to try and strike our allies do they!? We'll see about THAT!" Hawker lifted a phone to the New Petra Command Facility "ORDER 1ST ARMORED ON THE ALERT! I WANT ALL OUR TANKS OUT ON THE BORDER AND PATROLLING IN FORCE!" Almost immediately a whopping 600 FA-29 Tanks rolled out of the perimeter at New Petra and towards the border. "General Hawker, There is another problem sir." Added an Aide "What is it!?" Snapped Hawker. "Shalrirochian Special Forces, Rangers, sir. They've been deployed into the ACZ. They are predicting that we will be 'educated' in the next few days." Hawker let out a deep laugh. "Those 'Rangers' must be out of their damn mind. Fire up our para's put them on full alert. We have 10 Battalions with the Division (and 2 more recuperating after Operation: Night Thunder) and I want paratroops everywhere. Move these battalions to all corners of the ACZ. If a Ranger so much as lifts his sorry head out of the rock they hide under, it'll be kicked off by a paratrooper!" The Aide nodded "Yes, sir."

"How are the plans for 'Operation: Eagle Strike' coming?" Hawker asked quietly. "Very well, sir. Commanders indicate that we should be ready to move within a few weeks." Hawker nodded "Outstanding!"

A small group Paratroopers from the 1st Airborne Division had no idea why they had been assembled in the hangar at New Petra. The Rumor spreading through the assembled men like wildfire was that a new raid into Daloo Territory was planned. The murmurs of chatter were cut short as General Hawker entered and briskly strode to the podium. "Gentlemen, I know you are all wondering why you have been gathered here today so let me cut right to the chase and skip all the suspenseful bull-crap." Hawker reached below the podium and grabbed something "Meet Corporal Jones!" Hawker suddenly pulled out an almost life-sized doll, which was an exact replica of any Amistadian Paratrooper. With a broad grin Hawker added "The 1st Airborne's had a lot of fighting under it's belt so I figured we would give Corporal Jones a chance on tonight's raid." The faces of disbeleiving paratroopers stared back at Hawker, who, enjoying the warped humor of the moment added a last piece of info. "Although I doubt that Jones will make it. You see...." He suddenly tossed Jones into the air and when the doll landed with a thump, a massive series of gunshots and explosions from charges all over his body went off. The sound was so loud an MP ran into the room "Sir, I heard gunfire and grenades in here. Everything ok?"

Hawker clapped his hands with glee "EXACTLY! We're going to scare the living shit out of those Rangers with Corporal Jones just like that. You see, the Rangers are based at the Shalrirochian Air Base and tonight, we are going to drop a battalion of Corporal Jones and his buddies onto that base. Those boys will be so confused they wont know what the hell is happening. It'll spark pandemonium for hours, and then, we'll follow it up with some airstrikes. A proper welcome to the war for our new Ranger friends" laughter rang out in the hall.

Still un-beleiving of the fool-proof nature of Hawker's plan the paratroopers loaded into their transports and took off. The C-141's dropped low to the landscape over Daloo and closed in at top speeds on the Shalrirochian Air Base that had already been attacked by Amistadian Airborne Troops once. Once again, Air alarms sounded and all over the area...Terrified Shalrirochian and Daloo Defenders, the memories of Operation: Night Thunder still fresh in their minds, rushed out to meet soldiers from the sky. A few streams of Tracer fire drifted up into the night lazily but, thankfully, no missiles. As the 141's closed in on their 'Drop Zone' the jump doors were thrown open and Hawker snatched up 'Corporal Jones.' "Good luck, Jones. Do your duty for god and country!" Hawker said to the laughs of Paratroopers in the cabin. Immediately Hawker tossed Jones into the night and a parachtue billowed to life. The process was repeated by many paratroopers standing at every available door on several 141's. All over the Shalrirochian Air Base, Flares were fired into the night sky to give some illumination and the sight of hundreds of parachutes descending signaled the worse.

"PARATROOPERS! PARATROOPERS LANDING ON THE PERIMETER!" The cry rang out in the Ranger Barracks. The Rangers, due to their elite nature and the fact that they had never faced the Amistadian Airborne before, were the only unit not afraid. Indeed, they were ecstatic...FINALLY they had a chance to meet the enemy they'd heard so much of! Rangers, and regular Daloo and Shalrirochian soldiers rushed out to meet the invaders from the sky who were landing in a large field opposite to one of the runways. Gunfire and explosions rang out and all hell broke loose. In a classic, textbook, Anti-Paratrooper move....the Rangers surrounded the Drop Zone and charged in, guns blazing. Fire from both sides whizzed right through the field and struck many Rangers on the other side of the field. The sight of Rangers taking hits only invigorated the men fighting the "paratroopers" even more. For an hour, chaos reigned supreme and gunfire and explosions rang through the night. Finally, everything cooled down.

The Rangers took stock of their unit. They had had 7 men killed and 23 Wounded but there was no longer any sight of a Airborne Battalion! Where the hell were those paratroopers!?!? With confusion still rampant, a flight of F22 Raptors was easily able to penetrate the air defenses and drop 3 Precision Guided bombs. The first hit the Control Tower, destroying it instantly. The next hit the Ranger HQ Building and the third hit the main Fuel Dump. A Huge explosion rocked the area and a billowing fireball burned for hours. In the morning, a more detailed search of the enemy drop zone was made and thats when Shalrirochian and Daloo Defenders found hundreds of Paratrooper Dummies lying in the field. Colonel Gardener was in his bombed out HQ, surveying damage, when a Ranger entered with the dummy slung over his shoulder...dropping the dummy onto the table the Ranger gloomly said "Sir, a captured enemy paratrooper."

Gardener looked at the dummy disbeleiving "Who the hell shot up our guys then!?" The Ranger replied "We did. When we surrounded the drop zone." Realization sunk in and Gardener slapped his forehead in disbeleif. "Sir, he had a message" said the aide handing over a card that had been on all the paratrooper dummies. The Card read.....

"Oh jesus, if the press gets wind of this...." muttered Gardener. He flipped on the Television and, sure enoguh, the news media at home that had already been criticizing the war, Now had a new, juicy story.

"ELITE RANGERS SHOOT THEMSELVES UP IN TRAGIC FRIENDLY FIRE INCIDENT! CONSERVATIVE KENKARRA CALLS FOR FULL CONGRESSIONAL INVESTIGATION!"

As the sun sat on the Amirian horizon, the Amirian leaders proceeded to the stage to give an announcement on the horrible attempt to wipe out the rebellion.
As Leader Tyler Bostian settled him self behind the lectern, he focused out into the crowd trying to keep himself from showing his saddness, but little did he succeed at the attempt.

"My fellow Amirians and citizens of the world. Three days ago Daloo took our war to a whole new level. Along with the blackmailing threats, he used weapon against his own people, the Amirians. No longer can we sit idlely by while he has these weapons of mass destruction pointed at major cities around the world. I will not be dictated by threats from him or an other outside source. Daloo has turned 18% of its land to waste from the radiation that was caused by their OWN bombs. I am deeply grateful that Amistadian forces were successful in the mission to block any more WMD to be created, however; they still have an estimated arsenal of about 34 missiles. When our original leader Rhyne saved us from the civil war, we didn't expect that we would cause a world wide event, especially the threat of Weapons of mass destruction. [The breeze began to blow through the trees behind the stage] I am scared that Daloo will result in desperate measures because they have nothing to fight for anymore. 45% of their citizens have abandon there cause and are rallying to fight on our side. For the past 2-months, we have succeeded our control to outside military forces to produce results because we are a to immature nation to handled it. Now, we are taking back the powers over all military actions because it is our fight, our forces are sitting idly by watching other forces make major victories that we should be making.
[Applause from the crowd] Our allies are suggesting that our citizens should let the military handled it, I say STAND up and fight for your right to live FREE.[ the crowd stood up and applauded with furry, others were waving bands of yellow ribbons] Our militias will now target all silos with rouge tactics of fighting, our methods may by unconventional but they are guaranteed to work. As for the rest of the ones at home wanting in on the acting, produce mass supplies for our soldiers and allies. To the other provinces that are tired of war, succeed and join the cause. No longer will be hiding in the shadows, will be as the light in an unlit world. [The patrons on the stage stood up and clapped] I guarantee this war will be over within the next 6-months because of the coalition forces. WE WILL BE VICTORIOUS!!!![the crowd went wild]

When the Amirian leader finished his speech, angry citizens in Dal took to the streets protesting the persecution of the Amirian peoples. As the mobs grew, they began there way to capital hill were the council of elders were located. As they stormed the steps to the building, three renegade citizens stormed to the front with weapons and went through the doors into the building.
The next sound that the crowd heard and saw was a loud explosion from the east wing. As that side of the building came crumbling down on that side, the crowd went wild and began tearing down signs and city structures and began looting stores and homes. With no police force in Dal, the city turned into a modern day Sodomn and Gomora. As the men in the crowd became overly confident, they began to assault the base of U.S.S. As they approached the gates, a rain of gunfire came down on them like the hand of God. As the survivors retreated back to the city, the forces of the U.S.S followed. As the U.S used heavy tactics, the rebellion was killed physically, but not spiritually.

"This weekend, an emergency summit will be held in New Petra to discuse the plan to liberate Glory Falls in the coming weeks. Right now, our forces are on their way to four nuclear silos in the our newly joined provience of Hides. At the meeting will discuse the results. I will relay a message the day of the summit so every one can participate. The only thing I ask of each of the coalition leaders is to supply an overly amounted of security forces such as; troops, tanks, planes of your choice, anti-air defense systems(moblie ones prefered) I ask that when we are in the summit meeting room, the delegate will the only one allowed, not security detail. The possible attack on New Petra during the summit is estimated at an 92% chance. If we can knock out the silos in the next 24-hours, we can bring that chance down to a 75% chance. If you participate in the war, you are required to be there."

-Jungle, Aimiria-

Fremen Shock troops slipped silently through the jungle, they had lost 30 men on the beach, not bad considering the estimated enemy losses, since the beach they had only encountered scattered enemy patrols. They stuck close to their river following it inland to their first stop, a supposed resistance village.

Near the center of the group Col. Fry strode along confidently, Corporal Simms one of the recce troopers made his way back through the column to Fry. "Sir, smoke, about three klicks up river, it's in the right place to be the village, sir." Fry lifted his hand halting the group "How long would it take you to get there?" the soldier paused for a second, thinking "Silent, a half-hour. Making noise to high heaven, ten minutes." Fry put his hand on the trooper's shoulder "Make noise, take four of your best men with you and report back to me."

-Village, 10 minutes later-

Shalrirorchian Rangers, in their matte black amour calmly walked through the village, torching any buildings still standing and mopping up remaining opposition women and children were gathered up and tethered together, for transport to a POW camp, the men, were lined up and shot. Simms looked on in awe, these were worthy opponents and they worked with a professional detachment that he had only seen in the best Fremen. The four Fremen made their way around the village, to a lone Ranger near the tree line, Simms lunged, grabbing him by the neck and drug him into the jungle, two Fremen grabbed and held his wrists while the other two disarmed him. “Who are you?” Simms demanded “Sergeant Lucas Roberts, serial number: 115A-239E94AUY-C, Shalrirorchian Ranger corps. Serg…Agkk.” Simms dropped the dead ranger to the ground “This is not good.”

AN-Q1 Night Vision Scope and Binoculars. He dropped the scope down to his side and turned away momentarily to stroll back to the gaurd hut. Suddenly, a man reached out snatched him from behind, pulling him in close. The skilled Fremen Sentry reacted instantaneously, swerving to the right and pulling hard on the arm. Bringing his challenger into plane sight where he delivered 3 quick kicks and a punch. The man reeled, but, almost immediately after, flipped backwards, and delivered a sharp blow to the head which knocked him to the ground. Knowing he was beat, the Fremen waited for a knife or bullet. Suddenly, His Agressor stopped and extended a hand.

Stepping into the light was the dirtied baggy camouflage uniform of an Amistadian Paratrooper. "Now THAT....was some damn good fighting soldier!! I didn't mean to scare 'ya, Just wanted to see this elite Fremen Fighting I've heard about." Around his Camofulage Fatigue collar were several stars and, just above thr breast pocket was the tag 'HAWKER'. The Fremen was shockd "General Hawker! We thought you were in New Petra!" Hawker nodded, "For the record, I am. But unofficially, I wanted to come out here and meet with Amistadia's newest ally in this war." Hawekr whistled and 4 Paratroopers rose up from the bushes around him. The Fremen was impressed "How'd you get that close!?" Hawker waved it off "These men are Pathfinders, They have to be sneaky SOB's so they can get in close and then guide in the transport planes with the rest of the paratroopers! Anyway, can I speak with your general." The Fremen nodded and immediately called HQ "Your not going to beleive this, General Hawker and a couple of his Para's just showed up at the Gate."

Hawker had made the trip so that he could discuss strategy with the newest ally for the upcoming Amistadian offensive. "Operation: Eagle Strike" A Daring plan, that, if successful, could win the war. In Amistadia, Governemnt officials sent telegrams detailing plans for the Operation and the hope amongst everyone was, the war could be nearing an end....

With only four weeks remaining until election day, the fallout over "Dummygate" has continued to plague the Gistarai Administration. Polls show the President in a political fight for his life with Senator Kenkarra.

The President was forced onto the defensive at a campaign rally this morning when confronted with allegations of mishandling the war in ACZ.

PRESIDENT GISTARAI: "I will not be lured into talking about the past when we -should- be talking about the future of Shalrirorchia."

But Senator Kenkarra had much stronger words for the President.

KENKARRA: "Tarumigan Gistarai is unfit to lead this great nation! He's gotten us into a terrible situation in ACZ, and now he's lying to cover it up. When I am President, we are going to change all that. The United States of Shalrirorchia deserves strong leaders who can make the hard choices!" *Roar of applause*

The President is even trailing by 5% in his own home state. Statistically, no President has ever won without carrying his own home state except for President Santiago back in 1996.

The U.S.S. has moved troops into government buildings in Dal, and has fortified Glory Falls with the entire 11th Armored Division, ending the facade of "alliance". The Shalrirorchian operations now look suspiciously like an occupation. Following the shootings in Dal, Lieutenant General Sharana has implemented a curfew on the streets of the capital. Civilians are not allowed to be out past 10 o'clock at night.

News of war crimes by U.S.S. forces is under investigation by the Judge Advocate General's Office, or JAG. Violations of the accepted perimeters of war WILL be punished.

The Shalrirorchian 12th Armored Division has launched an attack south into a region known as the Darfur Valley in Aimira. The force has roughly 300 Crusader MBTs and many supporting vehicles. They are backed up by air forces from the recently-cleaned and reopened Hawk Air Force Base (Sharana's headquarters). A full detachment of Army Infantry has been stationed at the Base to prevent another breach of security.

General Bill "Hurricane" Hawker looked at reports from Daloo and Shalrirochia with approval "Dummygate!? HA! I LOVE it! Those Shalrirochian citizens are finally realizing that they are rapidly slipping down shit creek without a paddle." An aide burst into the office. "SIR! Shalrirochian Forces have pretty much become the defacto occupiers of Daloo, They are occupying the country. They've also moved their 12th Armored into Amiria." Hawker jumped up and slipped on his jacket.

"ORDER THE 1ST ARMORED DIVISION TO COUNTER-ATTACK! SEND IN OUR FA-29 TANKS! GET SOME F-22'S UP TO COVER 1ST ARMORED! WE'RE HEADED INTO THE DARFUR VALLEY"

1st Armored Tanks rolled into the valley under a protective air umbrella, The FA-29 Tank with their High Tech Heads up Display and top of the line Auto Loader sped into the area and engaged the 12th Armored with lightning speed. Using their longer range guns and Firing with unparalleled speed (thanks to auto loading devices) 1st Armored knocked out 50 Crusaders before the 12th could return fire. The first salvo of rounds from the 12th hardley penetrated the Ballistic Armor of the FA-29's. The Amistadian Tanks continued to fire, finally after the 3rd wave of counter-fire the 12th Armored Guns started to hit the FA-29's. But by then, much of the 12th had been destroyed. Hawker watched from a command helicopter (he's not a tank commander, he's a para) "COME ON 1ST ARMORED! GIVE 'EM HELL!" 1st Armored sliced into the enemy positions like a finely sharpened arrow and within an hour had split the enemy force into two, disjointed halves.

As 12th Armored began to retreat knowing their Crusaders were no match for the brand spankin new FA-29's (just as many in their homeland had feared) the cry went out along 1st Armored lines "NO RETREAT! NO MERCY! THESE ARE THE PEOPLE WHO THREATENED TO NUKE OUR HOMELAND! GIVE THEM HELL!" An all out charge of 500 FA-29's and their enraged crewmen swept across the battlefield, knocking out isolated pockets of Crusader Tanks. After 2 hours of fighting, the battle was over. 260 Crusaders had been destroyed along with their crews. Compared to just 60 FA-29 Tanks lost. What was left of the 12th Armored limped back across the border into Daloo.

Transmission to last known Amirian locations:
Leaders of the Amirian resistance, the Empire of El Cid Campeon will attend the New Petra conference, being represented by Colonel Brigantine, leader of the 117th Legion. He has communication gear, that will also enable our leader to receive information, since he cannot be there, himself, regretfully.
Be ready for our arrival and other nations. I suggest bunker meetings and a future protectorate alliance.

Meanwhile, the 117th on board the VTOLs neared New Petra and touched down under cover of darkness and disembarked to establish a perimeter. The Cargress helidyne made a sweep by and came for a landing, dropping off the armament. The 117th ("The Invincibles")dispersed the weapons and blended into the night, a few recon pairs searching for the Amirian leaders.
The VTOLs headed back with the Cargress, while a second pair of Wraiths flitted un observed around the area/region that the 177th was dispersed in. An ALX-152 Dragonfortress Bomber/Attack platform, etc (one of only a few that the Empire has manufactured) took position over the area too, keeping an eye out for ICBMs, and such.

A while later, the VTOLs were refueled and the 106th boarded, ready for deployment.
Also, a constellation of cylindrical satellites, recently launched by the Empire (and graced by the insignia too), oriented over key structures in the Daloo government and Amistadian government. There time for use was yet to come.

Shalrirorchian Central Command, Dal

Lt. General Sharana popped two anti-acid tablets and sat down with his officers...all those who could spare the time to return to Central Command were here, in person. The bulk of his officers, however, were following the conversation via a secure commlink.

"The Amistadians reacted violently, as you saw on the footage. The Crusaders were overwhelmed. This has a terrible import...it suggests they can repeat this slaughter to every other tank division we have on the ground here." Sharana said, cracking his knuckles.

"Gods of the forest." one of his subordinates, a worshipper of Shalrirorchia's native Nature-worshipping religion breathed. It mixed with a variety of other expletives that ran the gamut of the U.S.S.'s theological array.

"We have one ace-in-the-whole we can play." another general commented. "Air power. The X-19."

General Sharana considered this. The X-19 was a revolutionary fighter aircraft using technology that, hitherto, had been beyond Shalrirorchia's experience. The beginnings of the X-19 program, called the Wraith Project, had been seeded a decade earlier when agents working for the-then Most Serene Republic of Shalrirorchia had stolen hover-coil and computer technology from a damaged Weyrean airship. It had taken many years for the scientists to untangle the technology behind it, and even more time to retrofit the things to serve Shalrirorchia's interests. The X-19 Wraiths promised a new paradigm in air warfare.

But the project was not yet complete. Sharana feared using these weapons that, so far, had not undergone flight trials.

"No." replied Sharana. "I will not ask for the X-19s. But we DO have some serious air power on our side, including our stealthed Comanches. They're going to get some action now." (part 2 coming)

OVER THE DARFUR VALLEY-

The volley of cruise missiles thundered over the still glowing remains of the Crusader tank force, a flight of fiery angels hell-bent on avenging the blood of the 12th Armored. Dozens upon dozens of cruise missiles shrieked overhead, causing the FA-29 tank crews to scramble for cover.

The cruise missiles, however, were not targeted on the tanks. That would have been foolish, as the tanks were mobile targets. These Shalrirorchian cruise missiles were designed to hit stationary targets.

Instead, they rocketed about a mile BEHIND the all-powerful Amistadian tank formation before their nosecones were blown off with an ejection explosive built in for that purpose. At this point, hundreds...perhaps thousands of little minature "bomblets" spilled out from the hollow warhead assemblies and fell like rain across the valley exit leading to the Amistadian lines. The bomblets were of a special variant on the Rockeye design. They did not explode upon impact with the ground, and would not have been able to destroy a tank with an impact from above even if they had.

But once they touched the ground, they armed. It was then that the true insidiousness of Sharana's trap became apparent. If an FA-29 ran OVER the bomb field, the bomblets would explode and tear into the underside of the tank, the weakest point on any tank because of the location of the treads. Sharana had essentially slammed a cork into one end of the playing field, both trapping the 1st Armored Division IN and keeping reinforcements OUT.

At this point, all hell broke loose. Three squadrons of F-16 fighter aircraft shrieked in, targeting air-defense vehicles with laser-guided bombs. Four airplanes were shot down in the melee...but the ATG (Air-To-Ground) weapons did the job, blasting vehicle pieces into the air. Another Shalrirorchian F-16 flew so low in the attack that shrapnel from an exploding 1st Division tank ruptured her fuel lines. She crashed into the sod of the valley in a massive fireball.

All of this had been setting the field. The final act now began as the air sang to the beat of the rotors from 88 Shalrirorchian attack helicopters. Tank killers.

The Comanches and their ilk cut through the 1st like a scythe slicing through a wheat field. It was an appalling symphony of high-tech slaughter. Four of the Comanches went down to heavy fire. Twelve more took damage so severe they had to withdraw. But they reaped a grim harvest...the guided "Javelin" missiles were bleeding-edge technology.

311 Amistadian tanks were disabled or totally destroyed...the single largest set of kills EVER for a Shalrirorchian helicopter strike force. They literally ran out of missiles to fire, and circled back to engage with their chainguns, picking off crews trying to flee from their wrecked combat vehicles. The Valley would henceforth be known in U.S.S. military annals as, "The Fields of Blood and Iron."

As the earlier hours of the morning began. 14 seperate Amirian milita groups made their way to 4 different missle silos. One by one, they took out each and every missle silo that took residence inside the provience of Hides. This is a great victory because not only did we bring down the risk of a possible attack on New Petra, we also hindered a possible attack to the north where our ally, Amistadia, is located. No longer is there a threat to a freedom fighting country.

"Sir, we have just received word that all silos are under OUR control. We now have a heavy threat that we can use against Daloo, but NEVER use." replied a soldier.
"Great work soldiers! However, Daloo still has 19 more silos remaining. For now, we have reduced the risk of a possible attack on the summit. {To all milita units, return to base and celebrate} As for our group, we will make our way to Gates. That is were more of Amistadian troops are landing, plus we will try to convience provience leader Beidler to join the cause."

The news from the front was dismal. The 12th Armored Division had been completely destroyed in the Darfur Valley but Amistadia's 1st Armored Division had been badly damaged. 2 of the 4 Brigades from the Division were wiped out. 50% Casualties. "DAMMIT!" General Hawker slammed his fist down. "Tic For Tac. We lost HALF of the 1st Armored, they lose their 12th Armored. DAMMIT TO HELL!" Hawker looked at the 1:20,000 scale Wall Map in his HQ which showed all of Amiria and Daloo with push pins and flags dotting the map. "Sir, What's your recommend course of action?" Asked an aide. Hawker thought for a moment "Amistadia's saying We've received telegrams from most of the allies about 'Operation: Eagle Strike' and they love it. Say its just the thing we need. We'll launch soon. But until then, we need to start firing up the Daloo People over Shalrirorchia's illegal occupation of their country. I think I know just the thing...."


Orders went out for a battalion of paratroopers to be drawn off the line at New Petra where they had been training Amirian Rebels. The force had seen combat in the opening days of the war and since then had been expertly training the Amirians in all arts of guerilla insurgency. Now they would ply their deadly trade in a new area. They loaded quietly into MC-130's (Special Ops modified C-130's) in the dead of night. 10 MC-130's each loaded with 50 Paratroopers departed from the New Petra Airfield. Each 130 headed for a different section of Daloo (they all had different objectives) In 10 locations All Over Daloo, small Dal Citizens waited silently in fields. Just after midnight, paratroopers descended to the ground and linked up with the Daloo Resistance (underground ever since the U.S.S. So brutally crushed it) Immediately para's set to work training the resistance fighters.

The effects on the Shalrirochian Occupation were almost instantaneous...and devastating. Across the country, U.S.S. Forces awoke to a vicious surge in resistance from the Occupied People. Everywhere, Isolated pockets of U.S.S. Forces were cut off and overrun. U.S.S. Columns across the country were devastated by roadside bombs (over 200 detonated every hour) The resistance revolt was so fierce some regional U.S.S. Commanders actually beleived that Coalition Forces had launched the long awaited offensive into Daloo. At U.S.S. Headquarters, Rockets struck nearly every part of the base. This time, there was no confusin over a possible Airborne landing. Everyone knew Daloo's Populace were rising up violently. The first hour of the day saw over 250 U.S.S. Soldiers Killed, and it continued all day...

Perhaps most devastating of all was the fact that independent journalists scattered throughout the region caught the impromptou uprising on cameras and it was beamed to every part of the world. The images of the heroic Daloo Uprising were beamed worldwide and to every TV set that was on. In Shalrirochia itself Anti-War Demonstrators appeared at many government buildings "STOP THE BRUTAL OPPRESSION OF DALOO! BRING OUR BOYS HOME!"

Across the border, General Hawker watched with please. "Gentlemen, I'm worried that the U.S.S. is going to come down on this revolt hard. We have to strike now....EAGLE STRIKE IS A GO."

Immediately the bold plan sprung into action. Paratroopers from the 1st Airborne were now only the first wave in the operation. At New Petra, Alarm Claxons pierced through the chilly morning air as Para's in combat gear sprinted to their Transport Planes and went over last minute objective breifings. Within 30 minutes of Hawker's order, 120 C-141's in three groups of 40 rose into the sky with an aerial umbrella of 180 F22 Raptors, 60 B2 Bombers, 60 B1 Bombers and 60 B52 Bombers (that is the entire Amistadian Air Force!!) The B52's paved the way....quite literally. Swooping in low as the dawn broke and releasing thousands of tons of explosives onto 3 key highways that led to Dal (The Capital of Daloo) from the border. Elements of the U.S.S. Forces that had been resting and refitting for action there were slaughtered in a unparalleled firestorm of bombs and missiles.

With the B52's returning to New Petra, AH-64 Apache Gunships from the Army Aviation branch came in low over the horizon and fired off vast amounts of Hellfire Missiles and 3.6 inch rockets. The accurate rocket and missile fire slammed full bore into enemy radar and AA Positions, paving the way for the B2 Bombers headed for the U.S.S. Headquarters with orders to wipe out the Airbase. The B2's swept in low and each released 3 Precision guided bombs. 180 Bombs slammed into the Airbase. Every building on the base was hit TWICE by aerial bombs and troop concentrations were targetted as well. The few survivors from the U.S.S. HQ Unit quickly realized that their Air Armada had been completely devastated as Amistadia was throwing everything they had into EAGLE STRIKE.

The third and final wave of air assaults come from the B1 Bombers. With Air Defenses suppressed and U.S.S. Fighters gone, The Aging Lancers need not worry about Air Defenses as they came in low and targeted the 11th Armored Division, spread out throughout Dal. Explosions rocked the city as half of the Divisions Tanks were knocked out (including the Division HQ) but the other half saved by clever camouflage tactics on the edge of the city.

With the Aerial Assault finished, The 141's, Loaded with 12,000 Paratroopers descended. The 1st Airbornes Job was to seize the bridges for the 3 highways that run from Amiria to Dal. These three highways each spanned the Dal River with 3 impressive bridges. 4,000 Paratroopers were thrown at each bridge. Landing virtually next to the bridges, paratroopers stormed off their drop zones, weapons firing and sprinted across the bridges. The More intrepid souls from Combat Engineer Units quickly rapelled over the sides of the bridge and cut the lines for explosives that had been attached to the bridges to avoid their cature. The fight was fast, and heavily ferocious. Amistadian Para's suffered heavy casualties but after a half an hour the codeword "STRIKE ONE" was heard over the airways, signaling the Bridge's successful capture.

This brought to life the final phase of the Air Plan. Gliders, Great mammoth machines towed behind C-130's that came in behind the 141's detached from their motherships and descended rapidly. U.S.S. Forces had placed large metal rods with explosives attached to the tips in an effort to combat the glider menace. The tactic was largely successful, many of the Gliders had the floors of their aircraft blown or torn out from the obstacles and crashed horribly into the fields. Roughly 1/3 were destroyed on their approach, a testiment to the foresight of U.S.S. Forces in fighting Gliders (no one at HQ had anticipated Glider defenses.) The 2/3 of the Gliders that DID land offloaded their cargo. Artillery, HMMWV's and, MOST IMPORTANTLY OF ALL, The M-8 Buford Light Tanks. 56 Bufords got on the ground and (alogn with Airborne Infantry Paratroopers) these were used to help the revolt spreading like wildfire through Daloo....

Hawker, who had landed with the 1st Airborne's 2nd Brigade on the Wilson Bridge that carried Highway Route 2 over the Dal River, was pleased. He got on his radio and called Amirian Leaders, Amistadian Ground Commanders and Amirira's President to launch the next wave of Eagle Strike........

"Just moments ago, Amirian leader Tyler Bostian and Hides province leader Carly have made history. No longer is Hides a provience helping in the cause, it is now part of the Amirian nation. Yes, thats right. Along with making the pact permant, Amiria is now official calling its self a nation. Although they have not won their independence from Daloo, they are making significant progress. Right now as we speak, other provinces are considering joining Amiria. Also, in light of the nuclear bomb two weeks ago, the missle silos in Hides are now apart of Amirian forces!!! In the ironic part of the news, both Amiria and Daloo have agreed to suspend the fighting until Sunday because tomorrow is the national day of faith here in Daloo. They request that both of their allies hold off against each other to show respect towards the holiday. Will the other 7 proviences follow, stay tuned to CNN and find out. Back across the border. Amirian Leaders as well as commanders from the Amistadian 1st, 2nd and 3rd Infantry Divisions and what was left of the 1st Armored Division (a Cavalry regiment had been landed to help augment the division in the push) Launched the ground assault. Following a massive Barrage from 60mm and 88mm Mortars as well as 105mm, 120mm and 155mm Artillery Cannons. The forces leaped into action. The Amirian Troops led the way with Amistadia's Ground contingent following behind Amirian Forces who were advancing rapidly towards the Bridges and the Capital City.

The Advance went well, With units speading to the bridges (over 50 miles into Daloo Territory) in the first 12 hours. When they arrived at the bridge's Paratroopers from the 1st Airborne were releived to link up with the large, formidable ground force that they had been promised would come charging to their aid after they seized the bridges. Amirian Tanks rushed over the Bridges first as captured U.S.S. Soldiers looked on in dismay, knowing that the huge task force was now just miles from a bomb ravaged Capital City of Dal were the last few, die-hard holdouts from the Shalrirochian Army were trying to mount whatever defense they could muster Against the approaching force of over 200,000 men and material.

As Hawker settled into a Amistadian Armored Personell Carrier he snatched up the radio. "All Amistadian Troops. Halt your advance, In the last 24 hours we have gained nearly 80 miles and are now on the outskirts of Dal, the capital, THE LIONS DEN!!! Amistadia has made a proud contribution to this war. We trained the Amirians early in the fight. We disarmed the genocidal Daloo Leadership from using Nuclear Weapons in the future. We protected New Petra from Nuclear Annhilation. We humiliated one of the world's finest forces, U.S.S. Rangers with simple dummies, We fought bravely in the Darfur Valley against all odds, and we took the Bridges over the Dal, but this is not our war any longer. No Amistadian Troops will advance. Amirian Forces will attack into the city and end this war for once and for all. Amirian Troops, I wish you good luck and god speed....

"Shalrirochian Troops. May God have mercy upon you. Because SURELY... neither we, nor the Amirians, will."

Final election results have been tallied, and the results are not what President Gistarai had hoped for, exactly.

Kenkarra (Conservative)- 51%

Although exit polls showed the President neck and neck with his opponent, SNN is now predicting that Senator Kenkarra will be the next President of the United States of Shalrirorchia.

The electorate has sent a mixed message, however, retaining a bare progressive majority in Congress, which has many experts baffled. "It wasn't necessarily a vote for Mr. Kenkarra so much as it was a vote against the President." one analyst commented.

Fighting had erupted on the east perimeter of the now-burning air base...angry citizens of Dal were rioting. The U.S.S. forces responded with rubber bullets and tear gas, not wishing to inflict civilian casualties.

The news of that fighting was not, however, on Sharana's mind. He was instead staring at Daloo government documents that had been discovered by one of his men:

On and on it went, with document after document convicting Daloo's leaders. They had not just misled Shalrirorchia...they had flat out pulled the U.S.S.'s underpants over its' head. Sharana felt his blood pressure rising to the point where he expected his eyes to explode at any moment. He knew that the Gistarai Administration was probably having the same reaction back in Shalcoria. And who the hell was SK?

"Sir!" one of his aides burst in. "They are preparing to make their move on the capital."

Sharana wordlessly handed the documents to the aide, who looked at them and blanched as he scanned the text. "Holy sh..."

"My point exactly." Sharana cut him off. "We've been dancing to Daloo's tune all along and not even known it. Charlie, I want you to send an order to what patrols we have left in the city...those that have not pulled back to HQ. I want every Daloo national leader who hasn't already fled to be arrested and brought here."

"Yes...sir." the lieutenant replied. "Shall I order the men to blow up the bridges? It might delay the Am...."

"Hell no." replied the general. "These documents show we've been fighting the wrong war. Get on the wide-area broadcast radio. Tell the Amistadians I wish to talk with them at a location of their choosing." he muttered. "And make me some photocopies of those documents."

An official transmission from the Federation of Fate and Honor's Head of State Mr. Roberts:

"From henceforth the Federation of Fate and Honor recognized the nation of Amiria as independant and sovereign. If so needed and requested by future Amirian broadcast, the Federation of Fate and Honor, will be willing to commit an army of: 5,000 Mechanized Army Ground Troops from the 5th division, Approximately 500 Federation Special Forces, a carrier fleet to provide any neccesary air-support, and 250 tanks - armored vehicles - support vehicles from our 1st armored division. These forces will assist the fledgling Amirians in the assault of their rightful capital if negotiations do not go well. If further requested by leaders of the sovereign nation of Amiria we will allow 2,500 of our ground troops to remain in the Nation of Amiria to rebuild and train Amirian Regulars after war has wrought devestation. We will also be willing to provide Amiria with monetary foreign aid to assist in reconstruction of infastructure. As A.C.L Bostian positioned himself behind the desk, he filed his papers in front of him to help him follow in his speech.

"Sir, we are ready to go live to the Coalition leaders with a response." replied a camera man

"My friends and allies. I am coming to you today with hopes and dreams for the future. We have amassed an army of an immense amount of 200,000 ground troops 5 miles outside of Dal. Although today is our national day of faith, there has been NO fighting and will be NO FIGHTING until 12:00 sunday morning. We are expecting a medium size army of the U.S.S in Dal, but nothing that can with stand our coalition. However, the two allies of Dal that have not sent in any troops are now gathering around the city of Florence which is right on Daloo's borders. They are an immense threat now, and will be taking care of them properly. Although we are supposed to be working as a TEAM, I took the liberty of re-directing my 23,000 troops to the outskirts of Glory Falls. As the coalition attacks Dal, we will also attack Glory Falls; first with an immense air raid on the anti-air defense systems and then we well air drop those 23,000 troops over the city. We will kill two birds with one stone. If we are successfull in both attempts, we will also gain control of both cities and 6 more missile silos [ 4 near Dal and 2 near Glory Falls] To our new member of the Coalition, Fate and Honor, we welcome all your contributions to our cause. Just a reminder, tomorrow night we will have our Coalition Summit to discuse the already exsisting threat and now the new threat. I am sending you statistics on Daloo's army and her two allies. As for new internal problems, Daloo has issued its first draft of its men's population. Although the debate was heavy in the Council of Commons, the delceration of war was passed on Daloo at 4:23 this morning. This is what Prime Minister Jon Mitchell had to say...

"My fellow Adums, and brothers of the world. We have stood by for the past 14-months and watch the south pacific go up in fire. Although we are a new nation, we are also a strong nation. For weeks I have been in daily contact with A.C.L Bostian about what role Adullam could take in her war. Although CoC would not pass the legislation until Daloo started using nuclear threats against the world. As I speak, I am sending an armada of naval ships to the shores of Daloo to await Amirian vessels. Also, en route to a landing strip out side of Glory Falls, I am sending 45 cargo planes and our citizens are using their private aircraft, which are about 200, to help air lift the heros to the concentration camp city. In 3-months, if the war is not over by then, I will be sending 50,000 troops to the shores of Gates. As for the summit tomorrow, I will be there. I prayed for a day with out fighting, obiviously that day was today for your culture. Gods speed until we can meet face to face tomorrow."

On this day, the lord El Cid orders the mobilization of 2 manned Air legions, one Dragonfortress Bomb/Assault/Protectorate wing, and one Shadowfalcon (AXF-32, once code-named Wraith) wing. Also, to extend to projected force of the Dragon fortresses, unmanned Wraith A/D aircraft, basing out of some of the Dragonfortress motherships. My small, but advanced tech, near undectable forces should have air superiority soon. I hope to be in contact with you soon. In fact I would like it if you could telegram me, or specifically notify me on events that have taken place, as that my troops are in New Petra, and are getting ready to move out and meet your leaders.

The Shalrirorchians rushed quite rapidly to reinforce their defences around the capital city of Dal. They were surprised that no attempt had been made to respond to their overture. Professionalism took over from there. They knew that they were heavily outnumbered by the Aimiran forces at their gates. They knew that air support was mostly denied them. The Shalrirorchians did what they do best...they improvised.

They mostly ceded the outskirts of the capital, preferring to concentrate their defenses INSIDE the heart of the city, digging in deep within the labyrinth of buildings to gain shelter from air and artillery attack. There, sheltered by concrete, rubble, and steel, they set the defense up.

The U.S.S. troops set up machine guns covering entire lengths of street. They had snipers salted at all levels of the uran jungle, ready with the superb "Raven" sniper rifle. They zeroed short range artillery like mortars on key points, alternating slope-fire weapons with more direct-fire devices, such as rocket launchers. They used civilian vehicles like buses and semi-tractor trailers to create instant barricades, closing off routes into the City Core. Many of these barricades were reinforced with whatever armor plating the Shalrirorchians could scrounge up, allowing soldiers to rain assault rifle fire down upon potential invaders from behind heavy cover. The Shalrirorchians wired C4 to the train system and used the explosions to seal the transit system, so that the enemy could not use the underground rail tunnels to sneak UNDER the Shalrirorchian defense lines.

Several concentric rings of defense were thus constructed. At the very center of all these defenses was Hawk Air Force Base, the home of U.S. Central Command in Daloo and the headquarters for Theatre Commander Lieutenant General Sharana himself. It was a formidable obstacle. Although the airfields were in ruins, the perimeter defenses were back online. An entire squad of Rangers provided additional security besides the Army troops already stationed there.

Finally, the Shalrirorchians began FORCIBLY evacuating the civilian population over the River Dal. This had three benefits from the U.S.S. perspective....first it avoided unneccessary civilian deaths. Second, it prevented a major uprising from occurring in the rear. And finally, it put lots of fleeing refugees squarely in the way of the Aimiran offensive, creating a traffic jam that would (Sharana hoped) seriously hamper Aimiran operations.

The U.S.S. has abandoned Glory Falls, pulling its' troops back into Dal. It also wired C4 to the missile silos at Glory Falls and destroyed them after removing the warheads to take back to Hawk Air Force Base.

High over Dal, Capital of Daloo, a MC-130 sliced through the night sky. The men seated in the back of the cargo bay, near the ramp door checked their oxygen masks and parachute equipment. 40 Brave Souls, led by the now legendary General Hawker. "Gentlemen, Our mission is simple. Shalrirochian Forces have come to their senses and realized that thet are fighting the wrong war!" Paratroopers shook their heads disbeleivingly. One man piped up "Oh, They couldn't have realized that before we lost 300 men in Operation Night Thunder and over 1,000 1st Armored guys in the Dargur Valley!" Hawker raised a hand "I know, I know, I know....But now, we have a chance to end the fighting. Shalrirochian Leaders have requested we meet them at a time and place of our choosing. Well, I choose now. We will use MC-1 Steerable Parachutes jumping from 35,000 feet and opening our chutes at just 250 feet. A HALO (High Altitude, Low Opening) Jump! We land on the U.S.S. HQ Building at their base and make contact, We'll see where it goes from there..." Hawker raised a thumb as the ramp declined and wind swirled through the cabin. The 39 men seated returend the thumbs up. Stood and ran out the end of the cabin.

Descending rapidly towards earth, the men endured almost two full minutes fo free-fall. Watching the lights of Dal and the Air Force Base rush up at them through their NVG's. At a frighteningly low altitude of 250 feet, the 12 chutes popped to life and made a perfect landing on the Headqauarters Building Roof. Cutting their canopies away and locking magaizines into their weapons (just in case) Hawker conducted a head count via radio and the men hustled toward a roof door. Picking the lock and rushing down the stairs, they turned the corner and hit the switch box. The lights in Shalrirochian HQ went out and Para's rushed through the halls, just past the bewildered guards who had no idea of their presence. When the men reached the HQ's "War Room" the signal was given and the lights flashed to life. With the HQ in chaos already from news of the impending attack. The sight of 40 Armed Paratroopers standing there scared the living hell out of the guards.

General Sharana stared at the buisness end of an MP5 Submachine Gun. "General Sharana, my 40 men just infiltrated into the heart of your HQ building without having to fire a shot. If I deemed it neccesary, your entire Army's Command Staff would have just been wiped out with out ever realizing they were in any danger." Sharana looked irritated at Hawker's remarks. "General Hawker, I presume." Hawker suddenly pulled back his weapon and slung it over his shoulder. "I didn't come here to make war, but I didn't come here to make friends either. This whole damn thing has dragged on too long. Over 1,600 Amistadian Troops are dead, God knows how many more Amirians! And NOW you step back and go 'Oh wait, We got it all mixed up'!?" Hawker stared gruffly at Sharana. "So have you come here to lecture me, because if thats it. Then I'd ask you simply leave. I have a city to defend." Sharana replied curtly. "Dont you mean occupy?" There was a long silence in the room....

"Listen" added Hawker "We've both battled each other for too long too make friends. I've come here to end this war. You told us to meet at a time and place of our choosing, well, we just...DROPPED...in, I guess." Sharana shook his head gloomly. Hawker sat down. "Pull your troops out of Dal, Lay down your weapons. The War's over and you know it. In the past couple of days A lanslide of new nations has joined our cause....and at this veryt moment, hundreds of thousands of Amirian and Amistadian forces, sit...what? 3 or 4 miles from here!?" Hawker shook his head. "End it. End it now. I'm formally asking for Shalrirochia's withdraw from the war. Dont send more Amistadian, Amirian and Shalrirochian men to their deaths for NOTHING. Please. I'm asking you. Soldier to Soldier, To lay down your weapons."

Sharana waited a long time and the tension in the room was thick as 40 Para's glared at the battle staff that had made so many decisions against them and issued so many orders to kill them. Finally, Sharana replied "What are the terms of this supposed surrender?"

"Amistadian Troops will personally oversee the withdraw of your men. All prisoners from both sides are released. War Criminals on both sides punished. If you are to surrender, the generals of Amistadia and Amiria will accept your surrender as you hoist down the flag of your nation that you have defended with honor and pride during this war. That is your right. You have earned it. After that, you will withdraw all forces from Daloo and hand over all territory to the Amirians as well as disarm any remaining guerilla groups. The war ends. Nbody else dies. Do you accept my proposal?"

The room was thick with tension as everyone awaited Sharana's reply........

While the Amistadian Paras deal the Shalrirochian general, the Axis flying carrier "Thundercloud" goes into action. First it enables it's "Stealth cloud" of radar absorbing lightly charged plasma, and shrouding itself in a large self-generated cloud bank, thus appearing as a high pressure system to an outside observer.

Then the cruise missiles fly, striking infrastructure targets thruout the Daloo capital, hitting powerstations, rail yards, communication centers, and active radar sites. Following those strikes "Thundercloud's" UCAV's launch on a mission to cut the supply and reinforcement routes into Daloo, targeting bridges, columns of military vehicles, and rally points. Also targeted are fuel and supply depots of the enemy forces.

Meanwhile, the 3rd ADB moves to New Petra in order to better cover Amistadian and Amirian forces under the cover of it's SAM and laser defenses.

Elsewhere, dark machines move under the waves on the north coast of Daloo...silently...while large numbers of others speed low over the waters coming from the north....

Lt. General Sharana considered this for perhaps as much as a minute. He had discretionary authority over this theatre...President Gistarai had already come to much the same conclusions.

"I will not surrender my command to the Rebellion, no matter how morally-correct it is. I am, however, empowered to command the immediate withdraw of -all- Shalrirorchian forces from Daloo." the General replied, straightening his cap. "We can evacuate in.....Ellington? What was the revised number for Evac-Plan-Gold?"

"Roughly 72 hours, sir, at most." the subordinate replied.

"72 hours." Sharana replied gruffly. He glanced back at the paratrooper commander. "You may enter Dal with your allies at will. I will order the U.S.S. troops not to fight you. Mind you, if you stay out of our way, the evacuation will occur rapidly."

Theatre IC- The Gistarai Administration has officially recognized Aimira as the legitimate government of this country.

U.S.S. forces are commencing evacuation immediately by planes and transport ship.

You have a population of 10 million people, at the time of this posting. The United States of Shalrirorchia has a population of 738 million. It's kind of like you are Hawaii, and I am the People's Republic of China in terms of relative size. ;) Just keep it in mind. (Although I was only fighting with a small portion of my military strength, and I'm kind of like the U.S.A. on steroids...I use technology and not numbers to win).

Second, I don't think we are allowed to pose the reactions of other sides. Like when you bomb a U.S.S. tank detachment, you don't determine losses. I do. I just played along with this because this was such a dang fascinating rp.

Anyway, since both of you two are brand-spanking new nations, how would you like to join into a defensive alliance with the U.S.S? Once we sort out the war, of course.

Yeah, I kind of realized it was David vs Goliath. Thats the idea behind my military, small but mighty. The 60,000 men I committed was my entire military and with the coalition for Amiria being extremely sizable and only two nations fighting against it, I figured we'd be ok.

I might consider an alliance. TheAxisAssembly and I are formerly in an alliance and Amiria suggested one earlier in a telegram at the start of the war, so, but I would be thrilled to work out an alliance of some sort.

"Here in Daloo, the fighting part of the war is over. As of 4:00 pm Daloo time, U.S.S forces initiated Evac-Plan-Gold, leaving this country in 72 hours. When the withdrawl of U.S.S forces reached Dalooian leader Luther and his two allies, they immediately disbanded their armies and allowed The Coalition to enter their bases. All forms of Dalooian government will be dissolved tonight at 12. Amirian Leader Bostian will be holding a Government Covention in New Petra to determined the first steps the country would take towards stability tomorrow afternoon. Now it is time for an official press release from A.C.L Bostian.....

As he stepped behind the podium in FRONT of Dalooian Capital Building, he looked to both his sides where an Amistadian leader stood and Texas and Coloradan leader stood.

"VICTORY IS OURS!!![a deafing sound errupted from the crowd, and Bostian put his arms up to order silence] The War is over[again, sound errupted from the crowd] As I stand here in front of the Capital Building in Dal, which is a signature of no more Dalooian oppression, I want to thank all of you for your great activitiy in the war. With the evacuation of U.S.S forces from Daloo, our troops are now to quickly to move around from place to place helping and sustaning order. At 12 am tonight, the government of Daloo will be dissolved and an interm government will take place with me and the two leaders beside me. Tomorrow we will begin a Government Convention to organize efforts in estabishing A government in Amiria.[Applause from the crowd] That's Right it is now called AMIRIA.[banners, posters, and ribbons were waved in the air, plus more applause from the crowd] Although both sides have had causalities and feel bitter towards the other side, I want to extend a hand of forgiveness to both U.S.S and my coalition forces. As of now we are considered the Free People of Amiria until the results of the Government Convention. All military allanices have expired with Amiria, but I wished to look at it as an opening door for an official Alliance of friendship. I wished to also extend that offer to U.S.S [the crowd began to boo!] Don't forget citizens, neiver will we forget the horrors of war but we must forgive the ignorance of government leaders. [As Bostian looked around, he saw the side of the capital building that had been bombed 5-months earlier, and other war damaged buildings] We must begin the rebuilding and learn to start reliving in this new country. To all the people that considered themselves still Dalooians, look at your skin and look at ours, we are the same culture. DONT hate each other because of the result of the war, lets work together in order to make this a utopia of peace. LET THE REBUILDING BEGIN!!![The crowd stood to their feet and applauded Bostian][Bostian left the stage and the other leaders followed him into a black SUV and drove off.]
