Dallas: The Armed Republic of Modern Texas officially formed today with the signing of the Secession Act of 2004. The Act, which signifies old Texas' independence from all other nations, was applauded by leaders in the new capitol city of Dallas. On the steps of the new President's Mansion -- the former Southfork Ranch -- Buzz Ferriday emerged as the first elected leader of the Republic.

"I am honored to have been chosen by the people of Modern Texas to lead this new nation into the future." Ferriday went on to say that, "My first task will be opening the doors of dipolomacy to our neighbors throughout the world."

Modern Texas boasts a variety of natural resources, as well as a thriving Information Technology center and large agricultural base.

We support your nation and would like to sign a non-aggression pact with your nation. Our great nations neighbors and I feel that we must try to have no aggression between our nations.

We would also like to point out that we do control the small south-east portion of Texas. Mainly from Beaumont city limits East to the Louisiana border and all land south of Beaumont to the Gulf of Mexico. This would include cities like Port Authur, Orange, Nederland. We control these locations for there ports and natural resources. We will defend these territories if need be, but we would prefer to allow your nation to also use this territory for its shipping industries. We have invested billions of dollars and millions of Louisianaian citizens in the petroluem industry of this area and we will not see this territory which has been in our control for a littile more than 100 (NS) years leave our control.

Greetings Premier Jindal,

Thank you for your kind welcome to our new nation. We are aware of your interests in Southeast Texas and welcome the opportunity to work in cooperation with Communist Louisiana. Modern Texas is in favor of a non-agression pact as well. We invite delegates from CL to attend a state dinner in Dallas for a formal signing of the non-agression treaty. In addition, in exchange for the same considerations, we would welcome your delegates to search for an embassy location in our capitol city. We look forward to a prosperous relationship with you.

Dear Sirs:

We are interested in forming a trans-dimensional non-agression and informational trade pact with your great country. We occupy the same lands, only in another dimension where we broke from the U.S. after the South won the Civil War and the antebellum south broke away as a separate country. We have located our capitol in Houston rather than Dallas and we are united with the Southern Alliance and our ally in control of the Gulf of Mexico's oil fields, Norleans, who is transdimensionally united with your new ally, Communist Louisiana, in protecting the gulf from hostile invasion and control of the vital oil reserves in the area. We would welcome the trade of information and, if possible, technology across the dimensional divide that unites, yet separates us from each other. Welcome to the NS Universe.

Sincerely,
Sam Heuston,
Knight in charge of the
Fiefdom of Texarkania, by
appointment to

We would be more then happy to send diplomats and open an embassy in Dallas. We would also like to have you open an embassy in New Orleans. We are very excited about opening relations to our neighbors to the West.

We would also like to involve the nation of Aztec National League who control all of Mexico and Central America. We fill that this agreement between our three nations could help build a stronger pact and make our regions stonger. We will send them a telegram about this and I am sure they will RSVP.
