The national pasttime of the The Armed Republic of Modern Texas is auto racing. We have several upscale racing venues, and a myriad of small race tracks to host any number of SAVRE events. We would be pleased to be a part of SAVRE and hope to contribute in any way possible.

We would be honored if the Armed Republic of Modern Texas would host races of the SAVRE circuit. The Federation of Excalibor will need detailed information on all venues that may host a SAVRE race.

The one with the cars going aimlessly around an oval a million times? where's the fun in that? I thought you meant like the touring cars. sorry!
IC: Sanctaphrax has withdrawn from the series citing lack of funds as the reason.

Stock Car Racing = cars going aimlessly around an oval? But see theres a difference, it's called ::gasps:: COMPETITION!

Fromula One Racing = .... Yea, everyone runs in the same order as they started in the entire race and the only time you see cars side by side is when the leader laps someone.... Wheres the fun in THAT?

I didn't say I liked F1 but at least the tracks are intersting as opposed to an oval that's the same wherever you go.
Now the WRC, there's motorsport for you.

OOC: They aren't all the same wherever you go. Well, except for Kansas, Chicago, Charlotte, Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Texas. But aside from the 1.5mile cookie cutter tracks, the rest are very unique. That is, until NASCAR shuts them down and builds more 1.5 mile tri-ovals.

Note that Texas, Atlanta and charlotte are completely different from Vegas, Chicago and Kansas

C'mon people, this isn't a debate forum. The fact is that SAVRE is based mostly on a pre-Nextel NASCAR. If you don't like it, that's your opinion, and I really don't care about it.

Still needing information on tracks and venues.
We'll need approxiamately:
5 superspeedways
10 1.5mile~or so speedways
4 .5mile~ or so short tracks

Once we have all these, I'll compose a schedule of 36 races.
Taking suggestions for sponsor names.

Note that they are not really THAT different. Most teams use the same chassis for Texas and Atlanta that they use in Vegas, Chicago, and Kansas.

The Armed Republic of Modern Texas would like to submit Texas World Speedway for consideration:

The two mile oval is "D" shaped with 22 degree banking on the turns, and 8 degree banking in the front of the grandstands. In addition to the two mile high banked oval, there is a 1.5 mile oval, a 1.8 mile road course, both within the two mile track, and a 1.9 mile high speed road course using turns three and four of the oval, and the newly paved 2.9 mile course. All of these tracks use the same straightaway in front of the grandstands. These racetracks were newly paved in 2004. A new concrete outside crash wall and pit road wall were constructed at the same time. There is also a 3 mile grand prix road course.

We would also be interested in sponsoring the series. Our government has a sponsorship contract with RJ Reynolds. For example, President Ferriday lives in the Winston Mansion and our government meets in the Camel Parliament Building.

(OOC - This track is the sister track to Michigan. Same shape, banking, etc.)
