Kryozerkia Statistics
The statistics presented here are gathered from the most recent consesus that our officials conducted on our population. Some of the numbers are estimates because the population changes daily, as do most of the numbers related to the population, so there are no absolute values there.
Introduction
Background: over five thousand years ago, over the ice caps that covered the water, travelled a band of indigneous people, who were searching for a land to settle on. Instead of finding themselves in war, they found themselves in a new life with new people.
This peace didn't last as long as they wanted. After two-hundred and fifty years of living in peace with the natives, they found themselves next door to neighbours who didn't like peace. Soon, they were at war with the nation of The Eastern Quadrant of Kutou-koku, following the ursuping of the throne. The Dowager Empress Ai never had a problem with Kryozerkia, however, recently exiled ex-Prime Minister Chikita did...
It was a bloody war which not only cost the enonomy but many human lives as well.
As if the war between the two nations wasn't bad enough, a province in northern Kryozerkia, where most of the natives live, started a civil war. As Kryozerkia was tired from the war, the natives easily got their way without any blood shed. So, at the end of the war with Kutou-koku, the province of Farflorin broke away from Kryozerkia to become what is now present day, The Liberal Anarchy of Farflorin.
However, this didn't end tensions between the three nations. Only for a brief period of time, when The Most Serene Republic of The Eastern Alliance decided it was going to "help" Farflorin by sending in troops to stabalise the nation, even though Farflorin requested no help, did the nations of Kutou-koku, Farflorin and Kryozerkia all find themselves on the same team, united against the evil force that was The Eastern Alliance.
A short while after the nation of The Eastern Alliance left the region, did the three nations of Kryozerkia, Kutou-koku and Farflorin sit down to discuss the terms of the regional Peace Accord, which all three signed and subsequently invited all regional members to sign.
Now, then, Kryozerkia has also had some prolific leaders from before the first regional war, The War of Supremacy, to the most recent assassination of its democratically elected leader.
The first leader worth noting is Prime Minister Chikita. She was never elected to the position and held on to it with all her might using dictatorial powers. She didn't give up the position until she was overthrown in an armed rebellion lead by former Prime Minister Zekia Kelleigh.
Now then, originally it was thought that ex-PM Chikita was dead, but weeks later she showed up in Kutou-koku who had offered asylum following her exile from Kryozerkia. However, the offer back fired and Empress Ai found herself missing in action as Chikita disposed of her and took the throne for herself in order to seek revenge on the nation she had once ruled.
After months of fighting, the coalition of forces that fought against Chikita's regime broke through into Kutou-koku and swiftly executed her, returning the Dowager Empress Ai to power, who then later resigned, giving power to Emperss Michiko, who was one of the ones who signed the regional peace accord.
An already mentioned and second notable Kryozerkian leader is former Prime Minister Zekia Kelleigh, who had led Kryozerkia in her first regional war, as well as through the civil war. While she is not remembered for her political career or her leadership in times of war, she is a notable leader because she brought democracy to Kryozerkia for the first time, and led the first elections for the nation following years of an opppressive regime.
However, after the elections, she lost to Amadeus Levithan, who while has the honour of being Kryozerkia's first democratically elected leader, hadn't been a historically worthy leader.
He did, nevertheless, lead Kryozerkia during the region's second war, which was more of a cold war than anything else. He was at the head of the regional coalition against The Eastern Alliance and its protectorate of West Kirin Tor (a former province of Kutou-koku that broke off following the end of the first war).
The two most recent leaders, Reilla Fritz and Kiari Shkovi-Fritz were the first related leaders in Kryozerkia, both strong women with assertative natures that kept the nation on the right track towards being a nation with equal rights for all.
PM Fritz, before she was assassinated, passed two ground-breaking legislations, the "Gay Rights Act" and the "Pro-choice Act", which gave gays the right to marry or have a civil union, and gave women the right to choose whether or not they wanted an abortion, if they were faced with the decision. She had been working on an act to legalise marijuana, both for medicinal and recreational use.
She also spearheaded the motion to have a regional peace accord, which Farflorin and Kutou-koku have also signed.
PM Shkovi-Fritz is notable for her actions that have made Kryozerkia a more internationally known nation. She hasd worked to finish what her mother started. She legislated and legalised marijuana for all purposes. She also furthered Kryozerkia's role in NATO.
After her resignation, Theklia Arkyan, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs has taken to the helm. She is nothing like her counterpart and is very radical left-wing. The nation of Kryozerkia could be making a move towards communism.

Kryozerkia has begun the transition between modern and future tech. The army is currently phasing out its contemporary equipment in favour of more futuristic equipment, thus giving it more fighting power.
The traditional branches will remain, but they will be for domestic purposes. All the Mobile Suit divisions will be primarily used for regional security as well as warfare.
