4 graduates at the University of Gilabad, have come up with a ingenius design for a satelite based particle beam. It uses electrons focused at high speeds into a beam that can literally destroy anything in its path. It's GPS guided and is precise within an inch of its target. It is for sale for 1,000,000$ each.

They don't work that well in the atmosphere though. And the power requirements and size would'nt make it a modern tech weapon.

That is of course, future tech and would cost far more than one million dollars.

well, it wouldn't be future tech per say, america launched Star Wars back during, when reagon or nixon as a way to protect agianst nuclear missiles, but the owrld saw it as a deadly weapon and when clinton was elected *damn liberal* he brought the project and everything down.

Umm.... No. Google is your friend, go look up the "Space Defense Initiative", what you described isn't what happened at all.

Well, C A D pulled it off. Using massive electromagnet satelites to repel the beam onto the target with more than 10 times the force it would normally have. As the beam weakens, it hits the magnet and gains a massive power boost. Well, it also took a region-wide pooling of resources to do it. I'd have to find the thread to show you if it hasn't been deleted already.

Well, it was an honest mistake, it happens to everyone. And you did actually bother to go check it out on Google instead of just assuming that I was being a jerk - thank you for that.

I will say that it has its own nuclear generator, and you're supposed to launch it BEFORE you go to war. The reason the price is low, is because it uses inexpensive materials. A CRT moniter uses a patern of electrons to photograph things, this uses a beam of electrons to destroy things.

by the way I'm not a new nation, my nation has been a part of nationstates for 1 life year now.

While Nefraxis is admittedly a new nation, our allies are more than willing to bankroll this particular initiative, and protect our interests should anything "unfortunate" happen to our property.

Since newbies are constantly saying that sort of stuff, I ask that the nations who will supposedly pay for this please post saying they are paying for it. And for the love of god, puppets don't count. No matter what, having 10 puppets paying for one thing doesn't make sense, since why on Earth would 9 random nations just suddenly decide to pay their annual budget for ONE nation to get defenses?
