OOC: This is a list of any and all tech you might encounter if you RP with me and are not covered under the Earthbound contract. If you -are- an undeveloped nation, and are therefore protected from my starships under the Earthbound contract, then you will never, ever see this level of technology. This is a WIP, and any constructive comments are appreciated.[

Weapons

Wave Motion Cannon
Wave Motion cannon are based on the following principle: "As a sub-etheric object approaches the speed of light, it acts as a supermassive neutral particle." To this end, Wave Motion cannon fire multi-ton shells at nearly the speed of light, which can punch holes through most armor. The cannon shot cannot be deflected by magnetic shields, since it is neutrally charged.

Ion Cannon
Fires bolts of charged particles (electric guns writ large) that strikes shields and armor, and pours blue lightning around them that disrupts electronics and other sensitive equipment. Very useful for capturing ships without destroying them, or disabling them for a 'mission kill'.
Thanks to CoreWorlds for clearing that up.

Turbolaser
Turbolasters are designed to fry enemy ships where WMC are not good enough. Enough said.....

Missiles
Missiles are long-range weapons with delayed-action warheads. A warhead typically contains a heavy drill cap that burrows into armor, and a thermonuclear weapon for blasting open ship armor. Missiles are launched at high velocity from broadside tubes, and are accompanied by smaller 'secort' missiles, which protect their charges and can even sacrifice themselves if necessary.

Nova Bombs
Nova bombs are heavy-duty weapons that are made to destroy large groups of ships. A nova bomb creates a wormhole that sucks in ships in the vicinity, releases them in a random corner of the galaxy. When launched in clusters, the conflicting forces between two wormhols can rip ships apart.

Antimatter bombs
Antimatter bombs are fragile canisters filled with matter. They are dumped by bombers onto gun turrets and other weapons systems, and cause massive damage if properly placed.

Shields

Vortex shield
A vortex shield creates a vortex of gravitational energy around a ship. This vorex causes kinetic projectiles to alter their course, causing them to either explode against heavily-armored blastwalls or to harmlessly pass by the ship.
Vortex shields should not be confused with traditional shields. A vortex shield does not absorb particles, but rather forces them to alter course.

Polarization
Weyrean armor is polarized via specialized surface plating. This armor dissipates negative energy weapons, and can be reverse-polarized to dissipate positive energy. It is absolutely worthless against non-charged weapons.

Armor

Armor on Weyrean ships is made up of mithril-steel plates laid one atop another, to prevent shock damage and to make repairs easier. Mithril-steel plating is reinforced with nanotube framework, and has the overall strength of twenty times that of steel.

Super Capital Ships
Super Capital ships are the biggest vessels built by Weyr. What these designs
lack for in maneuverability and finesse they more than make up for in brute
strength. Powerful armor makes average railgun and coilgun weapons bounce
off, and strong polarization makes short work of most charged particle beams.

Solarstern class

The Solarstern is a giant vessel that acts as the flagship and core of a normal Weyrean fleet. Armed with heavy ion/turbolaser and Wave Motion cannon, and carrying its own sizeable fighter complement, this ship can take on almost anything. When properly supported by carriers, battleships, and cruisers, this design is nearly invincible.

The Hornet class is a carrier designed to carry and deploy fighters and bombers for offensive actions against enemy fleets. With heavy armor, but lacking the armament of a dreadnaught, the Hornet is still a fearsome opponent. However, it is an easy target for enemy capital ships due to its low acceleration and lack of heavy guns.

Capital Ships
Capital ships are large battlewagons designed to take on other large ships. Sporting massive kinetic and energy weapons, they are nonetheless weak against small craft that are strong enough to withstand 40mm coilgun and Flak but agile enough to dodge primary weapons.

Bloodrise class

The Bloodrise forms the core of the Weyrean Star Guard's anti cap-ship arsenal. With fourteen massive Wave Motion cannon turrets, and numerous anti-fighter emplacements, the Bloodrise is able to hold its own against almost any ship. The Bloodrise is built around three ion cannon, each holding enough power to vaporize a small city with one blast. These cannon are capable of overloading even the best shields, and of shredding up to twenty meters of polarized mithril-steel.

New Paradigm Mk2

The New Paradigm is a mobile weapons platform armed with missiles and Wave motion cannon. Lighter and smaller than a battleship, it combines a high degree of maneuverability with guns normally mounted on vessels three times its size. it is capable of taking on most similar sized vessels, and can demolish most threats if properly supported. The design of the New Paradigm class allows these vessels to be constructed in large numbers and a low cost, without sacrificing reliability or power. With the Mk2 refit, the new Paradigm had its missile complement reduced in favor of additional armor and more powerful engines.
