All of the ships leaved from Rauma, Helsinki, Turku & Kotka. [They're NOT BATTLESHIPS, small frigates and transport ships, sea is just too small for Aircraft carriers.]

"Sir. We've invaded first parts. Do we proceed? There wasn't much resistance, so not heavy losses. Anyway. We should invade Tallinn fast, before they can fortify it."
"Yes. We need to proceed. And they're already fortified it. I hate to say this, but we need to destroy many old buildings, and make bombardment.."

We'll put two of our modest F-16 fighter wings on escort runs of your designation and there will be a small fleet of a dozen frigates with a batallion of 500 men to be disembarked on the northeastern shore of Estland.

Troops: 6 million troops [Well, 90 million incoming, and 6 million is MUCH FOR SMALL AREA].
APC's: 2,000 Sisu XA-185 PASIs, 1,000 BMP-2s.
Tanks: 700 Challenger 2's, 500 M-26UMX Main Battle Tanks, 1,000 T-72s.
Also, whole Air Force is in Nireva, ready to launch air strikes.

Also, that might be little too much for small area. And much troops are coming. Really, that's not all.

One of the soldiers headed for Estland be ship fires a shot in the general direction of Finland as the ships turn around. :sniper:

Next 5 hours was bloody conflict, many Estonians & Nirevans died during the battle. Not many tanks were lost, but that's becose either sides had much them.

"It's over.. Almost at least."

"Well. Some Estonian soldiers are hiding in buildings."

"No infantry losses. But, 23 SISU's lost. 4 Challenger 2's."

Within 15 minutes, all attack forces was on the move.
The Tapa was pretty empty, even it was pretty big city. Some conflicts came, inside buildings. But not really much people were lost.

After 3 hours.

"Sir. We've cleared almost every building at there. No tanks have been lossed. Either APC's. 156 infantry dead. 14 wounded, and no one is missing."
"Not much. Good."
"Yes. Sir."

Kopparbergs Karelia is a noighbour state to Estonia (to the north east). St. Petersburg is our capital.

Kopparbergs Karelia is moving tanks to the Estonian border. (We're on Nirevas side in this RP.)

Troups in movement:
300.000 men at the border to Estonia.
300 Abraham M1A2 tanks.
500 JAS 39 Gripen is circulating in the air above and sometimes beyond the border. They're waiting for the right order...
100 Apache AH-64 is ready for takeoff from Slantsy Military base.

- We have a go from Nireva! Gentlemen, start your engines!

100 Apache AH-64 lifted from the Military base. Thew flew over the Lake Peipus, heading to the southeast part of Estonia. They met no one while over the lake.

General Mikael Andersson continued to plan the attack.

"Direct 200 JAS-planes to the other side of the lake, they must support the appaches!"
"Yes, they're already in the air. I direct then over Lake Peipus, towards the city of Polva.
And what about the Abrahams? Should they move across the border, towards Narva?"
"Confirmative! Send 150 tanks in that direction. Take the city! And they must be given air support!"

Along with the tanks, there were 50 SISU XA-85 troup transport vehicles. They also had air support from 100 JAS-planes.

At the port in St. Petersburg one Arleigh Burke Destroyer and ten Brandenburg Class Frigates left towards the Estonian coast.

"Please tell me how we're doing." says General Andersson.

"The northern front is going very well sir. We have a few losses, but not much. The Estonians has shoot down three JAS-planes and
blown 10 tanks into peaces. We control the cities of Narva and Sillamee. We have moved the front 25 km forward. When we get support from our ships with missiles we should be able to move forward so we can meet the Nirevian soldiers, they are in Kivioli at this moment."

"Okay, that sounds good. So we have only lost three planes and 10 tanks? Thats really promising!"

"Uhrmmm... Sir..."

"Yes?"

"We're not doing so well on the southern front...
The bastards had AntiAircraft missiles around the city of Polva..."

"Oh my god! How many planes were shot down?"

"Well... They got 50 out of our 200 planes. And 5 Apaches..."

Meanwhile, Nirevan troops are proceeding Rakvere & Kiviõli.

"Sir. Our troops are ready to attack Rakvere & Kiviõli.."
"Attack. And get Apaches to give airsupport."
"Yes, sir."

10,000 troops attacked both cityes. With support of 10 PASIs & 5 Challenger 2's. And 10 Apaches.

[Ooc. I'll RP Latvian & Estonian forces..]

Rakvere:
"Sir! Nirevan forces incoming!"
"No! We can't hold them! Get into buildings. Do not open fire until they come to the room!"
"Sir..?"
"Do it!"

After an hour, Nirevan troops knew this was gonna be hard for them.

Kiviõli:
"Sir! Nirevan forces.. They're here..!"
"Shit.."
"What should we do..?"
"Try to hold positions. Try call reinforcements."
"Yes, sir."

Minutes later:

"Sir.. We've losing this war.. Nireva just got too many troops.. We can't get any reinforcements! Kopparbergs is attacking somewhere, and troops are there!"
"Shit.. Fight with all what you got!"

After 2 hours, Kiviõli was under Nireva control.

Well First we Bomb the Island that the City of Kuressaare is on deploy and then deploy a couple thousand troops to secure and area on the island. Then we'll bring in our the rest of our troops with armored support."

Next 50 minutes was bloody conflict which ended to Estonians retreat.
But, Nireva won the battle, and took control of Rapla in 2 hours.

After 50 minutes. [Battle ending time]

"We can't hold them, sir!"
"Yeah.. Retreat!"

After 3 hours.

Nireva:
"Sir! Losses from Rapla!"
"Say. 3,562 dead, 1,461 wounded, 25 critical. 2 is missing. And 6 Challenger II's were lost. And 12 SISU's."

"And 115 Estonians surrendered."

Estonia:
"Sir! We cannot hold our enemys anywhere! We've lost today Kiviõli, Rapla & Rakvere!"

100 LVTP7 Amphibian Landing Vehicle were heading west at the south front. Together with 150 JAS planes and 100 Abraham tanks they were putting the front a couple of kilometers forward. But it was getting slow.

OOC: Total Kopparbergs Karelian troops in Estonia: 500.000 (has increased by 200.000).
300.000 of the troops are located at the south front, and 200.000 at the north front.
447 JAS-planes and 95 Apache AH-64. Two B52-H is ready for takeoff, but has never crossed the Estonian border.
Almost 300 tanks, but it is going to increase to 400.
In the Gulf of Finland we currently have 34 Brandenburger class frigates, 11 Grisha V FFG frigates, 2 Kilo Class Submarines (not used, yet), and 4 Arleigh Burke Destoyers (almost all of the ships came from St. Petersburg). None of the ships has done anything in the war yet.

General Andersson was not pleased with the loss of 50 JAS planes in Polva.

"We must defeat the anti-airbattery in Polva. Dedicate 100 JAS, 50 Apaches and 50 tanks for that mission! And get them 50.000 troops"

"We have located three anti-airbatteries surrounding Polva, sir. I suggest that we let the B-52's handle this."

"No, we must try to defeat them without massive bombing. That's a part of our mission, remember?"

2 hours later:

"Two anti-airbatteries around Polva is destroyed, sir. The third is in our hands."

"Very great! How did we make? Losses?"

"Yes, a few. We were very carefully. We only lost four JAS-planes and two tanks. And 130 dead soldiers..."

"OK, thats affordable. Now the city of Polva will be in our control. It's just a matter of houres. Begin to move the troops into the city!"

The city of Polva was an easy move for the Kopparbergs soldiers once the anti-airbatteries was gone. After four hours of battle inside the citylimits the city was in Kopparbergs hands. And almost no buldings was destroyed. Nireva should be glad about that.

The northern front was nearly not moving forward, just a couple of kilometers (1-2 km). The resources was prioritized to the Lake Peipus. Kopparbergs wanted to control the whole sea and the beaches all around the lake (on the Estonian side).

"How many men did we lost in the battle of Polva?"

"It was a very unbloody battle sir. The Estonians were not in mood for fighting. They surrendered very quickly. I think that they thought that it had been enough fights around Polva."

General Andersson:

"Send a message to St. Petersburg that we need more troops down here. Things are going to slow. I know that they have a lot of reservists in St. Petersburg that were called in when the war started. Ask them to send 100.000 more troops, but send the reservist to the north front, and move the ordinary troops here."

"Yes sir, will do that."

"And send a message that they must tell the Ronamianan marine to watch out for our submarine (Kilo class) that's in the Gulf of Riga. I don't want them to defeat our submarine..."

"Yes. Should we tell them about our frigates outside the Saaremaa island as well?"

"Is that neccesary? Shouldn't they se them by theirself? OK, tell them about that also. Couldn't do any harm."

OOC: Kopparbergs Karelia has moved the 34 Brandenburger class frigates outside the island of Saaremaa. One Kilo class submarine is somewhere in the Gulf of Riga. So far, the Karelian marines has not been involved in any military action taken. But they are on highest alert. On the updated map the frigates position is marked with an "F" surrounded by a square. The submarine is also marked at the map, but that's not an exact position. The two Arleigh Burke class destroyers is somewhere in the Gulf of Finland (also the second submarine).
Total Kopparbergs Karelian troops in Estonia: 500.000, will rise by 100.000 (reserves that will be located in the northern part).

Also, there are two resistance bases, in Jõgeva & in Kuressaare. Estonian forces don't know about them. We don't know about them. Just would be realistic, if there would be some civilian resistance.

They don't have good weaponry. No tanks or planes [Well. Terrorist strikes are possible with basic civilian plane/car..]. And not good training. And not too well co-ordinated.
But remember, every soldier who drops his weapon and dies, there's a possibility that resistance takes the weapon.
And, of course, civilians around Estonia may do some resistance, but those two are bigger ones. :)

I'll update the map now, but it won't show Kopparbergs movements.

Well. As my population is almost 1 billion, Finland is "bit" too small for the people. Even if I claim most of Latvia & Estonia, it's too small. But still. I might get part of Norway during the war, so I'll get big naval base inside my borders [Gulf of Finland, want Aircraft Carrier there? I don't think that'll stay..]

Ooc. The ADAD did not alarm when planes started coming, it alerted when they were too close.

With the reinforcement from the northern front, the southern front was beginning to move a bit. St. Petersburg has also sent 300 more Apache AH-64 and 100 more Abrahams (M1A2). Total Kopparbergs Karelian troops in Estonia now: 600.000 men, 395 Apache AH-64, 400 Abraham M1A2, 443 JAS 39 Gripens.

Lieutenant Eriksson to General Andersson:

"What happend to the Estonians, sir? We're hardly getting any resistance anymore? Have they completely surrendered?"

"Hmm... No, Nireva has came a bit more south, but together we don't even control half of the country. I can't even imagine that they have surrendered. They must have something going on that we're not aware about...
But as long as we don't meet any harder resistance than this, it will go faster than I thought to reach the Latvian border."

"What's the plan, sir? Should we move towards Tartu and take that city too?"

"No, we should countinue to move south. We must reach the Latvian border."

"Why is it so important to reach the Latvian border?"

"We must be prepared to stop the Latvians if they will come and help the Estonians. The closer the border we are, the better it is."

"Do you think that the Latvians will come and help?"

"Yes, why wouldn't they? Aren't they allies?"

(The stroke in the sea outside the two big islands is where my frigates are located (around 20 Brandenburger class). Additional frigates (14) are located in the Gulf of Finland. The Kilo class submarine is somewhere in the Gulf of Riga.

Ooc. In any way, Estonia wouldn't have a chance to make airstrike to Helsinki, at least now, becose so many AA's between. But Rapla was near border.. :rolleyes:

"The troopadvance has gone quit well, the Estonians has not made big resistance. Unfortunately we haven't reached the Latvian border, the advance is made at the west side.
A total of 650 troops and 8 tanks lost in action today. One JAS 39 Gripen was shut down by the Russians (Pskov) when it by mistake came outside the Estonian borders. The Pskov military has made a statement that they will continue to shot down any Karelian airplanes that crosses the Pskov borders. I can assure you sirs, that we will do our uttermost to avoid the Pskov borders. We do not want them to enter the war.
We have about 3000 Estonian POW. Where shall we send them? We don't want them here at the front."

Ten people were shot down by the military in St. Petersburg today. There was a huge demonstration against the war in Estonia which degenerated into riots. As you all know every kind of demonstration is illegal in Karelia, so the policeforce together with the military had to stop it. "Take the soldiers home! Stop the war!" shouted the crowd. Kopparbergs troops were ready for the Latvians, but they got scared anyway...
The AA batteries along the front worked at maximum. Many of them were bombed by the Latvian forces. This was the bloodiest day so far in this war for Kopparbergs Karelia. But Kopparbergs had a advantage over the Latvians because we have the ground in total control, and many planes around in the air. But the Latvians were *many*...

A total of 150 JAS 39 Gripens (and 105 Apaches) were lost in battle, and we shot down 50 of the Latvians F-16's (and 15 Apaches).
Total Kopparbergs troops KIA this bloody day: 23.000, wounded: 42.000. The Estonias lost around 10.000 men and Latvian's KIA were 16.000.

I am coming from my Province of Italy (in the Earth IV thing if you like to know.)

After the terrible shock when the Latvians stroke back, the front were beginning to moving forward again. It moved slowly forward due to Latvian planes and tanks here and there, but no more massive strike were done against Kopparbergs. At least not yet. Maybe the Latvians were so up to keep the city of Põlva (that Kopparbergs must let go when the first strike came). It takes big amout of troops and tanks to keep a city, and Kopparbergs did not prioritize Põlva so we let it go to the Latvians.

Ships that were located in the Gulf of Finland began to move westwards. They were about to join the other ships outside the Latvian coast. In 10 hours they will be in place.
The Supreme Commander has ordered 2 Iowa class cruisers and 2 Arleigh Burke class Destroyers from St. Petersburg to joint the 34 Brandenburger class Frigates that's already in place outside Latvia. The 2 Arleigh Burke that already were in the Gulf of Finland also joined. Under the surface, 5 more Kilo class submarines were heading westwards.

When they arrive, the total Kopparberg Karelian Navy outside Latvia will be:

4 Arleigh Burke class Destroyers
2 Iowa class Cruisers
6 Kilo class submarines

The Navy will be located at international water, not in Latvian waters.

In St. Petersburg there were riots against the war again. This time no one was killed though.
When the reports from the front reached the public (of course partly censored by the government) about the attack by the Latvians and Kopparbergs Karelian massive losses, the riots calmed down. The public felt like we were the ones who should be felt sorry for, and the opinion were beginning to turn around. They felt that we must strike back and defend ourselfes (even when we are in occupied territory).

The Supreme commander and the King was discussion the situation:

"You're the proffessional here, I'm only in charge here." said King Carl Gustav and laughed. "What should we do?"

"The people think that we must strike back at the Latvians. But I'm split about that. If we do strike back, we have to handle the Pskovs and the Norwegians. But if we don't... well... Maybe the opinion may turn around again, and the people starts to dislike the war again. And that I don't want."

"A total mess" said the King. "Well, we wait until tomorrow before we decide how to do. Maybe we can strike back at the front instead of attacking the Latvian country."

When all Kopparbergs troops was replaced by Nirevan troops, the withdraw began. In a couple of days all troops were back in Kopparbergs and were welcomed as war-heroes.

Well. Pskov & Norway sent a message to attackers, that they would attack against attackers, if they cross Latvian borders.
Norway would probably attack mainland, Pskov Estonia [Area under our control].

Kopparbergs might give something small support for us, but I'm not sure about that.

But mostly, I was just making attack against Latvia, when you asked to join into war, so you just made things go bit faster, by fighing inside forrest. :p

Estonia is fully under our control, but no parts in Latvia, yet. Either Norway or Pskov. As their forces are still moving near our [Well, mostly mine] forces.

And, at least check the maps, the two last ones which shows Movements & current map [Read.. About 2 last posts end, there should be link].. :)

Everywhere in Estonia, Nirevan troops started proceeding deeper in Estonia, again. Pskov & Latvian troops had no chance, Nireva was just overpowered, and Latvian & Pskov forces were hungry, and they didn't have much motive.

The reason for joining in war: Karelia has just declared it's independence, and the leftisth "parliament" is so full about itself, that refuses to listen to all news channels. Therefore it thinks it can accomplish the dream of Grand Karelia. That means conquering the eastern part's of Finland to itself.
However, before i rush into action, i would like to know one thing:

What size is your military Nireva? Since Karelia is a poor region (or nation), and doesn't have a large military. I was thinking my military should be about 1/3 of your military, but not even as nearly well equipped. However, we would have the element of surprise ( i don't suppose you have much troops around your eastern border). Propably still before long you would conquer Karelia, but for the beginning it would be at least a tough fight.

Or, i could just use my own military, but i think it would suit more for this rp if i created a new one.

So your realistic field force would be something like 30 million combat effective troops? Btw. i still think that that's a logistic nightmare, and your ecenomy would have to be based on keeping up your troops.

Well. Most of the forces that I'm using, is not in army all the time, they just come when it's needed [Kuten täällä.], so I don't have to pay for keeping them alive. Well. Now I do, but it's war.

10 million in airforce.
20 million in Navy [They're on infantry now].

A few phone calls are made, and then the hell is unleashed.

200 A-15 Raiden's are assigned to bomb station's and supply of enemy troops in fron't of advancing 2nd and 1st army's. Covering them is 100 Gripen's per army.

Squad's of 5 B1b Lancer's, covered with 20 Gripen's per squad are send to bombard military installation's near or inside Kajaani, Joensuu, Kuusamo and Taivalkoski. (that mean's one squad per city).

100 Gripen's are assigned to secure the Karelian sky from enemy air forces.

Total of 4400 130mm Howitzer's from army's 1-4 open fire on enemy border fortifications. After 30 minutes of bombardmen't, the forces of 1nd and 2nd army charge over the border line. 2nd Army's goal was Kuusamo and Taivalkoski, and 1st Armys Goal was Joensuu. Also some Division's of 2nd army were aiming for cutting of the Kajaani-Kuusamo Road, and Taivalkoski.
The 3rd and 4th army still remained on defensive position's, but ready to advance any moment. Also 3rd and 4th army's howitzer's kept bombarding the enemy station's before them.

IC: Message to Finnish Goverment

As you propably know by now, we have invaded you. But we aren't on a quest to rape and kill every finnish person. We simply wan't to capture back the territories that used to be Karelian. Therefore we propose a treaty:

You surrender to us the following cities, and all land to east of them. These cities, and people lining in them as well as the other land you will surrender to us, will be taken as part of the Grand Karelia. We will grant them full citisenship, and consider as our own. Also the borderline should be drawn 20 km west from these citys border's. The cities are as follows:

Kuusamo, Taivalkoski, Kajaani, Joensuu.

As soon as you declare your surrender, all Karelian troop's will stand by, and garrison the areas you surrender to us. No further aggression will be shown toward's Finland.

I'd like to notice one thing. We aren't killing any civilians, as we believe they're to be citizen's of Grand Karelia. Of course if you'r civilians are armed and shooting at us, we're forced to shoot back.

And to our ultimatum, we have nearly captured already the areas we are requesting, and therefore it seem's you don't have to surrender them to us.
Therefore i propose you a new treaty.
You place your defencive lines behind those city's we're looking for. Then we simply garrison them, and we make peace. That wouldn't mean that you had "surrendered" them to us, and therefore would save you from a humiliating loss.

And on to military issues. Even tough we have advanced well so far, it seem's that Finland is concentrating troop's against us. It has managed to halt our advance and is propably going to attack back soon. However we have begun digging our forces down to hold their position's, and begun fortifying all cities we have captured.
However, this must mean Finland is pulling some of it's troop's away from Estonia; this could be your change. We believe you should try a large scale assault soon against the partially weakened Finnish troops.

Start of operations have been put forward a day which angered Hinkel.

2. Well. Pretty many. Mainly Challenger II's. Lets say.. Each company has 3 Challenger II's [And I think that's NOT MUCH, but every squad has a LAW for tanks..] +10 BMP-2 [Russian made APC's]
3. For forces near Savonlinna, 5-6, with 3 Gripens covering each [B-52 is one of the heaviest bombers].

Berlin, somewhere in the streets a massive demonstration of 45000 people is going on against Latvia and Pskov. The demonstration was guarded by 10000 regular Anti Riot Squads (PARS) and 2500 military police.

"Kill the bastards! They violated our territory and killed our sons and fathers! Go to the residence of the Mother F******, drag them out and kill them!"

The Heads of State enter the mansion. In the hall Hinkel, Günther and the Master Servant of the House (its a title, this person is responseble for everything that happens in the Mansion) greet them.

Hinkel:"Ahh, welcome dear friends! That was quite shocking what happened today! I kindly invite you to join me to dinner. Kolonel Repo of Nireva could be here any minute.(forgot to invite him :D ) This here is my trusted general Günther and this is my MSH (Master Servant of the House)."

MSH:"Welcome to the most beautiful mansion in all Prussia!"

Nireva - Colonel Repo:

"Sir, we should go to the Mansion."

Couple of minutes later Repo was outside the mansion.

Just a small thing. Hinkel does not intend to blow the mansion up or something so all the suspision isn't really necesary. Our security is very good and our security forces are very good (Prussia is a Dictatorship).

We have four things to say:
1-It is a domestic issue, you have nothing to do with it.
2-they are rebels, we tried to negotiate but all negotiators were shot.

Well, actually it is a tour for all the invited leaders to show we're not only good on fighting a war but also good at rebuilding a country and govern it. A new type of government is being set up for (at least a part of) Poland and Lithuania/ conquered Latvian territory. More coming tomorrow.

Treaty of Warschau

1. The red marked territory(see map) will become a protectorate of Prussia. The rest will be annexed into Prussia. Its foreign policy and defense matters will be controlled by Prussia. Domestic issues will be their own dicision (sp?).

2. Lithuania will cease to exist. It will completly be absorbed into Prussia.

3. Conquered ex Latvian territory wil remain Prussian for twenty years. 20 years After the signing of this treaty, a referendum (sp?) will be held with the question: would you want to stay with Prussia or rejoin Latvia.

Either Poland was taken very few damages, or then you have very fast workers. :D

Ahh, Prussian workers are very fast. Homes which have been destroyed have been temporary replaced by portacabins. The rebuilding of normal houses may take a few months.
