Ork Waagh! against the UFP begins

Secret IC:
Sonic booms rippled across the fields of Gantris IV, scattering the carrion birds from their nests. Huge ships, their prows made to look like the gaping maw of some mythical beast, blasted upwards to join their brethern in orbit. For the first time since the dawn of Ork civilization, no clan battles raged across the planet. The Orks had new enemies now.
On board the Vindictive, Warlord Hurog watched as the biggest fleet ever assembled by his people began powering up. Hundreds of ships, ranging from small Zoomboomber escorts to his own humongeous battleship, powered away from the battered world, ready to unleash themselves against far-away foes. It had taken alot of talking (and not a little fighting) to get the Ork clans behind him, but now Hurog felt he could truly achieve revenge against the United Federation.
Behind him, a small grimy smort informed him that all fleets were flashing the " 'eady" signal, and only awaiting his orders. "Signal da warbosses, nobz, kaptains, and anyone else whos pilotin' a boat. Tell em weze ready to go, everybody already gots der targets. If dey forgot, find some new ones. We movin' out."
All across the fleet, Meks began firing up the tachyon drives, creating bubbles of energy where the laws of nature don't apply. Utilizing the complete lack of reality, the Ork ships streaked off through space, four distinct fleets making their way towards the Federation.
IC: In the following weeks, Ork ships would smash against the borders of TFU and Coreworlds. Smaller raids occured on the Arenumberg border, however, this was only a diversionary assault and lacked the numbers of the main thrusts.
OCC: Ork forces breakdown:
Forces of Warboss Ulgor (target: TFU)
8 Kroozers
30 Reavers
66 Marauders
1 Thunda ‘eavy Kroozer
2 Zoomboomers
33 Blitz Boats
44,000 Ground troops
Forces of Drogol the Black (target: Coreworlds: Babel)
13 Kroozers
17 Reavers
82 Marauders
3 Thunda ‘eavy Kroozer
20,000 Ground troops
Forces of Warboss Brunk (target: Arenumberg*)
27 Reavers
39 Marauders
2 Kroozers
1 Fury
21 Blitz Boats
8,000 ground troops
Forces of Warlord and Grand Cleava’ Hurog Fleshcleaver (target: TFU)
56 Reavers
53 Marauders
7 Kroozers
4 Thunda ‘eavy Kroozers
4 Zoomboomers
31 Blitzboat
1 Vindictive Battleship
60,000 ground troops
*You don't need to really respond to this if you don't want to Arenumberg. Brunk doesn't have the troops or ships to take any planets, instead confining himself to raids.

IC:
President Server was incensed. "These guys declared war on all of our allies and US."
"Mr. President, they are not sending troops our way."
"I guess they don't consider us a threat. Well we'll soon settle that. Do we know exactly where their territory is?"
"Somewhat!"
"I want you to send the following Fleets. The 3rd Fleet to CoreWorlds with 8th Army (1600 ships, 1.5 million troops), the 7th Fleet to TFU with 1st Army (same), Then get the 1st, 4th, and 6th Fleets as well as the 3rd 5th and 2nd Armies and prepare them for attack on Greenskinz. I want my Son to lead the attacking force against these people."
"Yes sir. I'll issue this right away."
"Very good. Then call a joint session of Congress. I will go before them. In this case, we don't need them to declare war because they have declared war on us and I intend to do what is necessary to win."
"It shall be done Mr. President."
He immediately left to carry out his orders.

The president and joint chiefs got the word of the incursion and attacks
Rob sat back in this chair sighing a bit he told the secretary of the stellar navy to mobilize all available forces to the border
Task forces and defense fleets 5 - 15 have been dispatched
Total number of ships :
20 Pelagic classes
30 galaxy classes
200 defiant classes
150 strike classes
120 Arkia class cruisers
200 Exlsior C’s and –D’s
250 Norway classes
110 Marida classes
50 Soyuz classes
100 Ambassador class heavy cruisers
100 Prometheus class ships
25 Galaxy class X ships
150 Ramsses classes
50 Nebula classes
150 intrepid class ships
50 Merced class ships
50 renascence cruisers
10 triton class ships
1 infinity class super dreadnought
10 Ancron class battle ships
15 Lakota class super battle ships
50 Mercury class Heavy defense cruisers
10 defender class ships
OOC: Just some research notes...
Concidering it's that the Greenskinz is being reasonable about his numbers I feel it would only be fair if I pointed out some problems with the insane figures been thrown around here.
RL Fedration is described as having:
Ambassador class heavy cruisers - 31
Defiant classes - 26 (note that only one has been modified with cloak)
Arkia class cruisers - 134
Intrepid class ships - 35
Excelsior classes - 192
Galaxy classes - 37 (14 older and 23 newer)
Norway classes - 68
Marida classes - 353
Lakota class super battle ships - 1 (From what I've read... just one)
Prometheus class ships - 1
Nebula classes - 60 (47 SWAC basic, 23 updated weapon pod)
Please note these all the total figures of each class in the entire fedation, which has a population of just under a trillion people. From here it looks like you are fielding everything you have and you outnumber some of the ST figures for their entire fleet.
Just a thought... but he doesn't need that many ships to fight against... half would do just as well. But what you've put down is basically numberwanking.

Andor System, Fedral space
Commanding from the 'eavy Kroozer Painbringer, Warlord Ulgor of the Pigsticker Clan led the charge into the Federation border system. Any defence platforms encountered were taken in stride, the fleet not even slowing down. A few smaller ships were lost, but the vast majority entered the system under full power, making a beeline for the principle world.
Ships lost: 2 Blitz Boats, 1 Marauder. 1 Reaver slightly damaged
Eta Bootis
A similar scene played out 11 lightyears to the southwest, as the main Greenskin fleet under Hurog himself stormed into the Federation. Engulfing the border outpust, the Orks swept over the system like a steel tide, rapidly advancing on the core worlds.
Ships lost: 1 Marauder
Altair
As the main fleet began its attack on Bootis, a small detachment struck far to the west, at the isolated system of Altair. Four Reavers, 6 Marauders, and one Kroozer attacked the outpost there, quickly surronding it, their railguns battering the defenders.

Admiral Server appeared on the deck of his flagship Destructor! He looked at his bridge crew with admiration as they perform their tasks. The ship's CO, Commador Rice looked up from her readouts. "Admiral on the bridge" she said the bridge came to attention.
"As you were." He stated. As the look at him he took a breath and started. "Ladies and Gentlemen. The Federation is under attack by an alian race known as Greenskinz. So far, Coreworlds, TFU, and Arenumberg have been attacked. We have not. However these nations are our allies and we will defend them. We have ships heading towards our allies now. Our mission is to strike inside Greenskinz space. We are nearly there now. May God be with us." he turned to the Commador. "Bring us to Battlestations."
"Right away sir." She flipped a switch. "All hands battlestations."
At that moment, Klaxons sounded across the ship. The call also went out across the fleet.
PILOTS MAN YOUR PLANES! PILOTS MAN YOUR PLANES! GENERAL QUARTERS! GENERAL QUARTERS, ALL HANDS MAN YOUR BATTLESTATIONS
The fleets are now ready for battle.
Aboard the other fleets, they are heading to the planets that have been attacked.

@Greenskinz: When you attack Bable, be prepared for some serious carnage, because that's where Weyr's entire expeditionary fleet will be parked if CoreWorlds agrees to it. It's nothing major, compared to what TFU has......just a few "Big Whooper" cannon that double as planet busters, a dreadnaught, two carriers, some real battleships, cruisers, destroyers, and corvettes. Total numbers shouldn't go above forty.

[b]Eta Bootis
Faced with orbital Armaggedon, the core worlds quickly capitulated. 3,000 Ork troops, complete with battlewagons and ground-based Fighta-bombaz, descended on the planet, moving to secure the cities and industrial zones. All factories would be retooled to support the Ork war machine, the populaces acting as slave labor. Food stores were confiscated and shuttled to the orbiting fleet.
As Hurog oversaw the occupation of Bootis, word arrived from Ulgor in the Andor system. Human resistance was stiffer than expected, and the worlds were still holding out. The Warlord ordered Ulgor to seize the planets as soon as possible, with troops if necessary.
Coreworld's system Babel
Meanwhile, the fleet of Drogol the Black stormed into the Babel system, intent on teaching the planet a lesson. The Warboss was widely regarded as the most brutal in the fleet, though not as crafty as Hurog. The Kroozer-heavy fleet powered straight into the combined Coreworlds and Weyrean ships, prow gunz firing as soon as possibile.

OOC - Firstly, to Greenskinz, I feel I must apologise for my allies(TFU) ship wanking. Its hard to beleive that a 1700ish ships were deployed to counter 270ish of your own space craft. I can only hope that you can land in enough force to bring about some of the more unusual abilities.
Back on Babel...
Having completed the required pre-set arrangements for The Warp travel, the Rogue Trader had ample time to brief the local forces on the correct way of handling possible infestations. Orkoids were a dangerous and unpredictable race, with an unfortunate habit of turning up when you least expected. However the incursion was relativly small so there shouldn't be too much trouble dealing with any complications.
This was all relativly quick to accomplish, leaving the Rogue Trader time to aquint himself with other dignitaries, local market prices and information data banks. All thanks to the new alliance, Foolish Pesants didn't have much of a space contingent to speak of, only his ship was capable of getting beyond the Sol System under its own power. Their own FTL travel research was coming along apace, attempting to utilize spinning gravity distortions to allow for super luminal travel without actually doing so. Such work was slow however and they had little to show for their efforts.
As he boarded his ship the swagger in his walk obvious for all to see, a faint jingling could be heard on every other step. The best part of all he thought smugly to himself is that its all above board, totally legal! In fact the Rogue Trader had spent most of the short time on the planet meticulously going through the data archives of the UFP. Indeed there was some most interesting information that The Government of Foolish Pesants would be all to happy to modify.
With their work accomplished, the small craft exited back into The Warp, just before the malestrom hit...

OCC: Unfortunately, I've come to expect TFU to dump ungodly amounts of ships into a situation. This has forced me to use a floating ship skill: basically, the more ships I'm up against the better mine become. They don't sprout super-zappers that can detonate suns or anything, they just last longer. This only really effects TFU though, since everyone else has (more or less) appropriate numbers of ships.
Quick note on my Orks: Though heavily based on WH40K Orks tech and society wise, I don't use the spore reproduction method. There are Ork females and baby Orks, but females tend to look alot like males and Orks grow incredibly fast, so you don't see many urchins.

(and no I’m not going to dump a lot of ships )
Mean wile at alpha centauri .The federation fleet stood by in orbit preparing to the major battle ahead the Admiral of the fleet sat in his chair after he heard that ETA Buits had just surrendered he banged his fists on the table mean wile out side the alitar system the federation fleet was moving in after hearing the system surrendered the fleet was bent on re capturing it (if there are any orc ships left … I’m about to engage them ) the captain on his pelagic class sat back and said “All ships engage the enemy galaxy Marida wings attack from all flanks defiant out flank the enemy forces from behind strike teams move out and attack ! we don’t stop until we take this system back is that clear?!” the entire fleet moved in on a sheet formation the forward ships started charging there phaser arrays / banks firing again and again this time all the ships behind them were firing there torpedoes and phasers at the orc vassals the strike classes whooshed and maneuvered around the enemy ships with high speed maneuvers attacking the ships from all side’s
The rest of the fleet poured out gigatons upon gigatons of fire power targeted at most of the orc vassals meanwile 5 tipitz class ships started to launch fighter squadrons fighters poured out of the 5 ships totaling over 410 (fighters the acual ship number i reduced to 190 i thought it would be best for the rp) by the time they finished the fighters moved around and around the battle field targeting the orcs fighters and smaller ships (btw my fighters are mainly X wings and eagle classes) they maneuvered behind and began firing every thing they had at the enemy ships
Meanwhile en route to andor there was a small fleet of about 110 vassals heading to re enforce andor with in a few hours the reinforcements arrived at andor and began to move in to the system the started searching for any orc ships as they found sum of them (I’m assuming there are still orc ships there ?) they charged up there phaser banks and launched volley after volley of torpedoes and phaser energy fired and homed in towards the enemy ships

The GDF Meloni dropped from warp speed in the Alitar system. The ship spun madly to avoid slamming into the TFU fleet. The small Elven vessel quickly moved out of the middle of the fleet not wanting to get caught in any crossfire.
Aboard the ship Chief Weapons Expert Torin nan Huor and Premier James entered the bridge. James ordered in the calm manner of his race, "Situation report?"
Torin shook his head, "We've waltzed right into the middle of a space battle. We should withdraw."
The Ops officer shook her head, "We can't yet sir. The drop from warp and evasive actions caused stress cracking around the torpedo launcher. If we engage warp speed without reconfiguring the SIF we'll rip the ship apart."
James nodded pensively, "Move us out of the battle area and transmit a message of neutrality to all ships. And in the name of Eru Illuvatar do it in English and NOT Quenya..."
OOC: Ok, I wouldn't normally just drop in like this but I figure one ship can't really make that much of a difference. Anywho, if you leave my ship alone I'll be a neutral observer until I can leave, although I don't think Orks like elves that much as a matter of course...

The original fleet of four ISDs were waiting for them, but realized that they were outnumbered by the enemy capital ships. They sent out B-wing and K-wing bombers to help attack the capital ships, while the A-wings, X-wings and E-wings went after the fighters.
The call for reinforcements was answered when a fleet of 6 ISDs were sent to Babel. They will arrive in 30 minutes.
In the meantime, the ISDs and their escorts tossed turbolasers, ion cannons and proton torpedoes at the enemy to keep them from retaking Babel. The frigates and gunships helped to fight off the enemy fighter-bomberz, but the numbers were telling, and the bombs hurt the shields some.
Forces of Drogol the Black (target: Coreworlds: Babel)

OOC: BTW, what is your space territory like, Greenskinz? My droids need something to detect. :)
Assuming that Weyr gets permission from CoreWorlds.
Weyrean fleet:
(1) Solarstern-class dreadnaught WSGS Solarstern
(3) Hornet-class super carriers WSGS Hornet, WSGS Rondo
(6) Bloodrise-class battleships
(14) New Paradigm class Mk2 battle cruisers
(12) Missile destroyers
(12) Cannon destroyers
(4) Big Whooper planetbuster/capbuster cannon
(2) Hospital ships
(6) Support frigates
~1000 fighters, bombers, and corvettes
Tech lists can be found here (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?p=6956129#post6956129)
BTW: the ship power for my cruisers is a fraction of that found on an Imperial cruiser.
The Weyrean fleet was on the other side of the system when the Greenskinz attacked. Minutes later he was on the bridge of the dreadnaught WSGS Solarstern, as data on the incoming ships began pouring into the fleet net. In the time between the attacks, he had moved his fleet away from the route originally used by the attackers, and now spent a few minutes getting everything in order. Pilots scrambled to their ships, shields spun up to speed, and a message went out to other allied vessels in the area to clear a path.
Energy discharges detected; look like the same ones our previous guests used.
Good, go to attack formation, full broadsides until one hundred
Stet,
Bursts of light, photon and chain drives engaging, the battlefleet picked up speed. Small destroyers flirted on the edges of the group, preparing to lock shields, acting as pickets for any missiles or torpedoes.
The two fleets met head on, Weyreans opening fire with their entire arsenals of ion cannon and Wave Motion cannon. Missile frigates unloaded their arsenals of heavy missiles and formed to act as anti-figher support. The three carriers launched their fighters from the rear, holding alongside the four Big Whooper cannon.

The corneliuan fleet appeared in the Babel system.
Admiral O'Reilly looked at his readouts and signaled for the fighters to launch. Moments later, hundreds of fighters where launched into space and began to close in on Greenskinz.
"This is Admiral O'Reilly to Greenskinz. You have violated CoreWorlds Space. We are an ally of them and we are both in the UFP. We are ordering you to leave now and to settle for peace between your race and that of the UFP."
When he gave the ultimatum, he ordered the fleet to form up and to head for the enemy formation.
OOC: This is not the entire fleet. This is a TaskForce of 100 Ships with various classes from Carriers to Destroyers.

OOC: The Orks originated from the Gantris system, specifically Gantris IV. This planet, and most others captured by the Orks, are devestated worlds with polluted skies and landmasses dominated by huge industrial bases. Slave colonies are found on every Greenskin world, and theres usually a few thousand ground troops as well.
IC:
As the Fedral fleet tore into the system, the Orks inexplicitly began to withdraw away from their newly captured worlds. Not a rout by any means, as the Orks continued firiging even as they turned around. As the first volley of torpedoes slammed into the Ork fleet a blinding flash signaled the mass tachyon jump.
The reason for the Ork withdrawal became clear, when the Fedration encountered the first of the gigaton-range nuclear mines floating in space.
Andor System
Ulgor was rapidly losing his patience. The Waagh! needed these worlds, but the damn humans just wouldn't surrender. Battling their way through the enemy defences, four Reavers landed on the embattled world and disgorged 12,000 Ork troops. Sweeping out from their drop zones, the Orks poured into the major cities.
Even as his invasion was developing, Ulgor became aware of the huge fleet powering into the system. That it was Hurog's fleet didn't make him feel any better. One of the smorts working the console perked up. "Message from da Warlord, Boss!" The Warboss ordered him to patch it through. Better to get this overwith.
The scarred visage of the Flescleaver Warlord appeared on the main vidscreen, crackling in and out thanks to the tachyon disturbance in-system. "Warboss gro-Ulgor Pigstykar, yooz have not taken da planets on schedule. No matter, for I have run into my own problems. Da Fedrals are makin' der move, a large fleet has already counter-attacked at Eta Bootis. Dey should be here once they get over my...present.
"Seize da main planets and begin fortifying em. Order yer ships scapped an der weapons embedded if need be. Mez and da fleet will continue on into fedration space, avoidin' da Fedrals if weze can. I suggest yooz do da same, ders to many saucer-'eads fer us to fight now. Once dis system is ourz, lay yer mines and continue on into fedration space. Hurog out."
As suddenly as it had arrived, the second Ork fleet boosted out-system, heading deeper into Fedration space.
OOC: Ships lost to the Fedration fleet in Eta Bootis (Hurog's): 2 Blitz Boats, 1 Marauder
Coreworlds, Babel System
Disregarding enemy fire in true Orkish fashion, Drogol's fleet slammed into the Allied lines. His three 'eavy Kroozers were not of Orkish stock, their advanced (and stolen) energy weapons dealing terrible damage to the enemy.
As the two fleets came together, a mad melee rapidly developed. Orks ships twisted and turned around the huge enemy battleships, trying to strike at unarmored positions. One gunho kaptain attempted to ram a star destroyer head on, his ship barely holding together under the turbolaser fire. As the dessies concentrated on the Coreworld destroyers, Drogol and the capital ships chose a different target.
Punching through the destroyer screen, the Ork kroozers poured everything they had into the Weyrean battleship fleet. With engines at full thrust, it became apparent that many of the Ork ships were on a collision course.
OOC: Drogol's losses: 4 Marauders, 1 Reaver, 1 Kroozer damaged.

The superstructure is the weakest spot on Weyrean designs because it 'sticks out' of the shield vortex, causing a good deal of weapons fire to hit it. Aploogies for the crappiness of the post.
Weyrean bombers swarmed around enemy capiral ships. Dodging enemy counterfire, trusting their fighter ecort to keep away enemy craft, they dumped their antimatter cluster bombs onto enemy heavy weapons before coming out. Those that survived retreated to the carriers, rearmed, surged back to deal more damage.
Ship skeletons groaned beneath kinetic projectile impacts. These were not the antiquated Pyre battleships; their frames were designed to take the massive recoil of their own guns and the impact of enemy vessels. Weyrean ships were bringing scores of Wave motion cannon to bear against the large craft that were coming through the CoreWorlds vessels. Battleships unloaded their foreward turbolasers against the largest ork vessels, slowing under the reverse force of their own guns until they seemed to hardly be moving.
Five kilometers versus one; I wonder who will win? Admiral Storm chuckled as he realized what the orks were trying to do. A Weyrean battleship was twice the size of even the largest Ork ship. Hold your ground, he commanded the battleships. They held, facing the orks head on while their pilots fired off side thrusters to avoid full impact.
Turbolasers on battleships flared into ork ships. The Solarstern's ion cannons flickered against shielding.
Now, are you stupid enough to ram me? Storm asked mentally the rapidly-approaching ship.
The orc vessel was actually pulled around the dreadnaught's hull by powerful kinetic shielding, before finally slamming into the lower superstructure. The impact sent tipples through the outer armor layers. Flames flickered, were extinguished in vacuum. Whatever damage the impact had caused, it was not enough to seriously hamper the dreadnaught.
The cruisers were agile and smart enough to get out of the way of incoming ork Kroozers, their frames groaning beneath the stress as they went into impossible maneuvers, firing all the while. Still, the enemy fire was taking its toll. Kinetic weapons riddled ship hulls with holes; destroyers exploded, hit by the big ork guns.
The Big Whoper cannon waited until the ork ships were speeding so fast they could not change course without ripping their ships in half. A Whooper was named after the Whoooooooping it made just before firing. The four cannon fired, picking gaps between Weyrean ships to unleash bolts of energy normally reserved for frying planets.

OOC: Ion cannons: fires bolts of charged particles (electric guns writ large) that strikes shields and armor, and pours blue lightning around them that disrupts electronics and other sensitive equipment. Very useful for capturing ships without destroying them, or disabling them for a 'mission kill'.
"Commodore! The enemy are on collision courses!" an ensign shouted from the sensor station on the bridge.
"Are they insane?" The Commodore asked, running over to the station. "Evasive manuvers! Double up the forward shields!"
The ISDs tried to maneuver, at least to reduce the damage done by the KE impacts. However, a dessie smashed into the ISD Fireball, on the port side of the Nighthawk, causing a large explosion that consumed the bow of that ship. Numerous hull breaches were reported as the damage shockwaved across the ship, but the damaged ISD was still pouring turbolaser fire into the enemy ranks.
The Nighthawk fired a powerful broadside at a dessie that passed by it's starboard side. Turbolasers sent sheets of green energy into the dessie while ion cannons sent bolts of blue lightning that skittered across the enemy shields.
The X-wing and A-wing squadrons slashed across the enemy fighter ranks, firing torpedoes and missiles and spitting laser fire at the not-so-l33t fighter-bomberz.

Admiral O'Reilly watched as the ships closed.
"Sir it appears they are on a collission course."
"I guess we will have to prevent that now" he retorted. "Torpedo room. Load up 4 Envelop Torpedoes."
As they began to load them, the main guns are firing with every ounce of energy they got. When he got the signal that they are loaded he looked at his watch. "One Full minute. Not bad. Weapons Control. Fire them."
At that moment, four envelop torpedoes launched at the enemy fleet. "Now back to standard torpedoes. Fire everything we got at them. I want this fight to be over with pronto."

The list of vox-affirmatives piled in onto Solar Macharius' visual screen, on the battleship Solar Macharius.
++Lord Solar Macharius to Task Force: Lunar Moon - entering the warp in T-Minus ten. May the emperor be with you all. Solar Macharius out.++
The huge warp hole manifested itself, as the Imperial Task Fleet powered up their engines and blasted into the mysteries of the warp.
Eighteen Hours Later, Federal assault on Alitar
The ships left the warp, to be zapped back into reality as the battle around them raged. Solar Macharius surveyed the battle sector - destroyed hulks littered this sector of space.
"Enginseer, get me a link to The UFS Infinity"
"Yes Lord Macharius. At once. I will patch it through Lord."
"Thank you Enginseer. Dismissed"
Solar Macharius opened the patch channel to the UFS Infinity, and sent a decoded message to the Federal ship.
++UFS Infinity, this is Lord Solar Macharius of the Imperial Navy. We are here to assist you, what would you have done of my ships?++
There was only one person Lord Solar Macharius had ever taken orders from, and that was the Emperor himself. It would be hard for him to take orders from this.. heretic. Still, he had been ordered here himself by the Emperor. Personally. He would obey. He lived to obey.
At the same time, Solar Macharius ordered the fleet to launch its squadrons of Lightening Interceptors, as they screeched through space supported by several squadrons cruisers and destroyers. The eighteen battleships, powered up their engines, gave the orders for the lascannon crews to engage and sped towards the battle.

Babel System
As the Marauder dessie slowly drifted away from the Weyrean battleship, numerous tubes and cables shot out from the sides, latching on to the hull. Saws, cutters, and explosive drills went to work, boring through the layers of armor to get at the inside. Ork warriors rushed across the vulnerable boarding-tubes, ready to burst into the enemy ship as soon as the hull was breached.
Boarding attacks were also launched from the Wurldtaker, the dessie currently implanted in the Fireball's prow. Extensive damage had been dealt to the prow, hampering boarding efforts. Ork Meks struggled to reopen boarding chutes, while nearly a hundred Orks in vak-suits leaped on the destroyer itself, planting charges to blow open their own entrances.
The beam from the Whooper cannon streaked into the Orkish fleet, burning through one of the kroozer's superstructure entirely. The attack continued onward into the Ork (and Coreworld) fleet rearward.
OOC: Losses: 4 Marauders, 1 Reaver, 1 Kroozer seriously damaged. I didn't mention the envelope torpedoes, as I have no idea what those do.
Altair
Their mission accomplished, the Ork ships began their withdrawal. The small force had managed to draw disportionately large fleets away from the main thrust, easing the pressure on Hurog and Ulgor further east.
As the Kroozer prepared to jump, it unleashed one last barrage: on the prime world itself. Railgun slugs smashed into the polar regions, blasting the world off its axis. While not enough to send it spinning off into space, the planet's climate would slowly turn for the worse as the axial wobble became more extreme.
The small Orkish fleet split up, each taking a different route deeper into Federation space.
Ross 128
Battle engulfed the system as Ork and Federation fleets clashed, the Orks presenting a wide front to the Federation fleet. Explosions rippled across the void, multi-megaton Ork missiles screaming down on Federal saucer-heads. In stead of the usual full-throttle charge, Hurog ordered a slow advance into the system, using the Orks powerful prow gunz to full effect. Fighta-bomberz and X-wings dodged and fired in the space between the two fleets, both attempting to get at the other's ships.

Ork Meks struggled to reopen boarding chutes, while nearly a hundred Orks in vak-suits leaped on the destroyer itself, planting charges to blow open their own entrances.
"Captain! There's reports of the enemy trying to board our ship!"
The captain smiled. "So it has come to this. Set up E-web squads wherever the Orks are trying to enter. They will have to pay dearly if they want the bridge. Oh, and seal off the bridge."
2000 Core Space Marines readied their weapons as they prepared to repel the super-ugly brutes. The Orks will not stand a chance. E-web heavy machine-gun blasters were set up at potential ork entrances, and their crew awaited them.
As the Marauder dessie slowly drifted away from the Weyrean battleship, numerous tubes and cables shot out from the sides, latching on to the hull. Nanofiber cables returned the favor, latching onto the ork ship.
Marines aboard the WSGS Illych scrambled to positions, guided by sounds of things cutting their way through meters of mithril steel. The corridors were narrow enough that two epople could hold off an army, which is exactly what the marines would do aboard the battleship. Four hundred marines and Star guard crew would hold off the orks. Three hundred would invade the orkish vessel once the main force from the Marauder was rushing through the tubes.

Babel System
A peice of Star Destroyer hull drifted off into space, the Ork meks stepping back from the glowing red edges. The debris revealed a large hole, going into the enemy ship. As the Orks eagerly crowded around, one forced his way to the front. Cradled in his arms was a large cylinder shaped object, bearing a yellow circle with 3 black triangles...
One of the Meks grabbed the nuclear warhead, pushing the red "activate" button with a gloved finger. He casually tossed the cylinder into the hole, turning around as he did so. The rest of the Orks followed suit, some clamping gloves over their helmets even though they wouldn't hear anything in space.
The blast caught even the Orks by surprise, the 20 kiloton explosion blasting several of the Meks off into space. As the jet of flame died down, the Orks poured into the opening, firing down every corridor they could see.
On board the Illych, the cutting noises suddenly stopped. Before the marines could investigate, explosions tore through the last remaining inchs of mithril-steel, opening breaches into the corridors. Hundreds of Orks poured into the ship, braving the fire zones set up for them. With their numbers swelled by invasion troops, nearly a thousand Orks began their assault.

For future reference, I don't acknowledge every attack in a post, since its only logical that everyone is throwing ordance at everyone else.
IC:
With the Kroozers engaging the main Weyrean force, it fell to the dessies to fight off the Cornelians and Coreworlders. With the first charge stalled by Corneliu's envelope torpedoes, the Marauders began closing in, using the superior weight of their gunz to their full potential. However, under the escalating missile barrages ships began to fail, three Marauders exploding in quick succession.
An explosion could be seen in the distance, as the heavily-damaged kroozer fell victim to containment-field collapse of its engines.
Losses for this post: 4 Marauders, 1 Kroozer
@Foolish Pesants: He's fighting in narrow, gravity-less corridors, where numbers don't mean jack. I got marines and magi'i, and besides, I can always deploy flesh-eating nanites.
@Greenskinz: so...who or what is engaging my main force?
Orks poured into the narrow corridors, in places cutting down marines who scrambled out of the way, before their comrades opened fire from both sides. Combat suits were good at stopping traditional weapons, although they could not halt blaster bolts and other modern weaponry. In other places, they encountered marines who filled the corridors with a storm of blaster fire. There were no rooms near the outer sections of the battleship, or any other weyrean ship. They were fighting in maintenance and utility corridors. The actual living quarters were deeped in, mainly in the superstructure, sealed behind blast doors and a second hull s thick as the first.
The captain of the Illych sprung his trap. Eighteed of the Illych's remaining fighters streaked between the two ships, cutting the fragile boarding tubes with turbolaser blasts, dodging the Illych's own nanofiber tresses. Four had their stub wings and engines sheared off, their pilots ejecting, the fighters self-destructing moments later.
"Ready for venting," the comm crackled within sealed helms.
"Stet," came scattered replies from those marines not occupied with orks.
Blast panels opened in the outer corridors that were invaded by orks. Atmospheric pressure dropped as air was sucked out and into the vaccum of the star ocean.

Onboard the dessie, the Ork Kaptain panicked as his boarding operation fell apart. Ordering all guns to fire into the breaches, he slammed his fist down onto the red button mounted on his throne. Emergency thrusters immediately kicked in, as the primary engines surged to full thrust. Its structure groaning under the strain, the dessie began pushing forward, stretching the cables to their utmost.
To their credit, the cables refused to break under the enormous stress, but the Ork armor did. Chunks of the outer hull splintered off, sending the cables whipping back towards the Weyrean ship. Suddenly free, the destroyer surged deeper into the Weyrean fleet.
Those Orks who weren't currently crawling along the outer hull found themselves in a fight-and-die situation. Trapped on the Weyrean ship, the 500 Orks fought to the death, engaging the marines in hand-to-hand combat when their ammo ran out.

wtf r u guyz talkin about?? is this a game or wat?? plz tell me
@Lord munter: More of mutual storytelling with the NS stats as guidelines.
Torn cables slammed against armor, resonating throughout those parts of the Illych still possessing their atmospheres. Boarding mechanisms broke free from the strain, yet somehow remaining within the battleship's hull.
In outer corridors, Marines and Star Guard fired until their weapons gave out, blocking airless passageways with friendly and enemy corpses before retreating behind bulkheads. There they engaged their shields and grav blades, and waited for the orks to break through.
After some minutes the blast plates sealed, allowing atmosphere to return.
The dessie hurled into the Weyrean fleet, ramming into a destroyer and sending that vessel into a cruiser with a creech of bulkheads. Atmosphere bubbled from the small craft, crushed like a can by two impacts, its engines disabled by the intial hit of the ork dessie. Only a few bulkheads and fast action by crew who sealed their suits before suffocating allowed the craft to remain in combat, firing off its remaining cannon and hoping not to get destroyed.
The CO of the cruiser opened fire on the dessie in question moments later with Wave Motion canon.

The two fleets conitnued to exchange long range fire, the Ork ships starting to launch huge volleys of torpedoes at the Fedrals. While not particularly accurate or reliable, each torp' had a disportionately large warhead.
With the risk of his flanks being turned, Hurog ordered his own flank ships to engage the enemy at close range and keep them from getting behind the main advance. Hurog himself would lead the center attack from the massive Vindictive battleship, supported by 'eavy kroozers and zoomboomers.
As the Fedral ships attacking the western Ork flank moved in, space behind them erupted with tachyon bursts. Warboss Urgol, accompanied by the vast bulk of his fleet, slammed into the Fedral ships from the rear, forming the hammer with Hurog's ships being the anvil. “Time until arrival is estimated at four minutes several seconds.”
“Excellent, order the fleet to begin the charging of the subspace drives and have the secondary systems brought online. I want all inhibitors ready to activate immediately as well as all fighter bays prepped and ready for launch.”
“It has all been taken care of.”
Within the realms of subspace the Shivan second fleet was heading towards the ravaged systems of Coreworlds, when the Imperium had received a request at its communications outpost, long deployed almost two hundred years ago. The request was one of help for a price. The fleet currently heading towards the untouched planet of Juria was ordered by the hive mind to make a short pit stop within the system of Ross 128.
The small gravitational influences generated by each ship within the system was easily detectable however the Shivans were gaining their information from a reliable source. This new policy within the Imperium which was brought along with the change in leadership was a new and most dangerous outcome and eventuality. The Shivans were for hire.
The battle field was a raging inferno as each side exchanged weapons fire slogging it out to an eventual dual and war of attrition, however this war was about to become a slaughter. Each side would continue with their pointless conflict until slight gravitational disturbances would be detected, these small inconsequential fields could be put down to the amount of weapons fire, or maybe the vast amounts of ships however that was not the case. Each disturbance within fifteen seconds suddenly blasted open into haze of blue light and energy; the tell tale signature of subspace rifts. From each blue portal emerged a Shivan vessel upon the human forces (that’s you TFU). The multitude of Ravana destroyers and Sathanas Juggernauts emerged while opening fire. This sudden and unexpected attack upon the terran fleet would be a complete and utter surprise.
The Shivan capital ships arrived upon the battlefield and began firing with their beam cannons and micro missiles. The void of space turning a vast red from the Shivan weapons would show the human nation what true fear was and how it should be given. Within four seconds of arriving upon the system an inhibitor field was raised preventing any form of escape or entry into the system apart from that of a mere conventional slower than light drive. In conjunction with the inhibitor field a communication scrambling field was also generated to insure no radio or other forms of slower than light communication could flee the area. The Shivan fleet firing with everything in its power began to pummel enemy warships while the large claws of the juggernauts were being charged for a pulse of enormous destructive capability.

Corneliu, is that fleet going to Babel or Ross 128? As soon as you reply I'll post some losses for Babel.
I already have a 100 ships at Babel! This ENTIRE fleet is at Ross 128!

Babel
The battle continued to rage, both sides suffering horrendous casualties. On the Illych, Ork troops broke through the corpse-barriers with HE and energy weapons, incinerating the bodies before attacking the marines behind them. With no retreat available, the only way they could go was forward. Luckily a few of the Orks had aquired Zzap Gunz (high-energy lasguns captured on raids before the Waagh!), which they used to good effect against the armoured targets.
As the Weyrean fleet pounded the hapless destroyer into slag, Drogol's kroozers continued their murderous advance, methodically bombarding anything infront of them. To the rear the main dessie force fought desperately to break the enemy lines and join the kroozers: a detached observer would have quickly seen the Orks were trying to reach the planet.
Losses: 2 Kroozers, 3 Reavers, 14 Marauders
Ross 128
It looked like the entire galaxy was converging on the system, as the Orks watched first the Corneliuan then the Shivan armadas arrive, guns a' blazing. They didn't know who this new force attacking the Fedrals were, but they knew anything causing damage to the Feddies was a good thing. With the Fedrals thus occupied, the combined Orkish fleet turned its full attention towards the Corneliuans. As the two forces closed in, the customary bombardment erupted from the Orkish fleet.
Ulgor Losses: 1 Kroozer, 4 Reavers, 9 Marauders
Hurog Losses: 6 Reavers, 4 Marauders, 1 Zoomboomer, 4 Blitzboats
Total Ork Losses: 1 Kroozer, 10 Reavers, 13 Marauders, 1 Zoomboomer, 4 Blitzboats

(Some handy OOC notes for those of you unaware of Orks and weapon tech. While the Orks appear to have a very backwards system of weapons, Choppa's for example are little more than Axes, and Shoota's little more than modern guns, this hides the simple danger of an Orkified weapon, the WAAAGGGHH. As an Old One created species, the Orks are a Psychic race, for most of the Orks this is simply manifested as being a Generator of Psychic power, the more Orks the stronger the WAAGGHHH energy that is created.
Certain Orks can release this power in the form of devesting attacks. This however is only the most visual of the WAAAGGGHH effects, simply put Orkified weapons are subject to the WAAGGGHH, Orks believe a Choppa is able to penertrate armour hence it does. Ork's Believe Shoota's to be effective hence the are, when they hit. Orks believe Red Onez go faster, so a Ork vechicle painted Red Goes Faster. Note they can with Choppa's penertrate Space Marine Power armour for example, do not underestimate an Ork.
As for Toughness, an Ork can loose an Arm, and if found in a week, have it sown back and loose no function from the arm, they are killing machines in short, created for War. They have no other true purpose in life, than to kill. In the boarding action what you are seeing is a race of people, who may be being hit and cut down, but they don't care, and they keep coming, and as you shoot, the corridors are being filled up with the bodies of the dead, and each ork is getting a little closer... Bullets that hit the Brain may not kill an ork right away either, Orks have been known to survive with missing portions of their brain, to later have a Squiq-Brain-Transplant. It's not that they are impossible to kill, it's that they are tough, hard to kill. Their bodies are designed to take a beating, and to keep coming.
And they are strong, and this is before you meet the Nobz, and the Bosses. In short be prepared for the fight of your lives if they board you...)
Weyrean ships do not explode when they die. This is not due to any particular construction methods. They simply have nothing that can explode. Thus, true death comes only when a ship was so riddled with holes that its munitions belts and magezines can no longer function, and its fusactor cores are ripped from their protective envelopes.
Railgun and a particle weapons made strange, spiraling paths around Weyrean cruisers and the three remaining battleships before impacting or streaming into space, to be another's problem.
A battleship fell silent, its weapons shredded, the superstructure a gaping wreck. Its captain gave the order to abandon ship, then charged the drives to plow into the nearest enemy vessel.
"Ensign, take us in," Storm commanded aboard the Solarstern.
The massive battlewagon had thus far stayed at the back of the melee, its weapons firing spordaically. Each cannon barrel hurling four tons of matter at nearly the speed of light, the dreadnaught now flared its engines and moved to engage the heaviest of the ork ships, accompanied by its remaining seven score (140) fighter-bombers armed with antimatter bombs.
Figher and bomber craft spiraled into oblivion, shot by enemy counterfire. The rain of antimatter continued upon the ork vessels nonetheless.
The four whooper cannon, recharged, fired off their heavy-duty beams at the kroozers.
**********
On the WSGS Illych, marines beat an ordered retreat, bolstered by Star Guard. There was no real distinction in equipment between the two, just the training. Whether knowingly or unknowingly, the orks were making their way straight to the bridge.
The platoon trained its remaining weapons at the heavy blast door, which was rapidly caving in beneath orkish force. It was a long gallery, used for various occasions. At the moment, it was empty.
"Spirits, they just keep coming!"
"I know,"
"You gotta admit, they're better then demons,"
"Shut it, here they come!" the mental words were followed by a screech of metal. The six-inch blast door gave way beneath the orkish onslaught.
They had vented the atmosphere, and poured more bullets into the onrushing orks than into anything else. They still came on, not caring that dozens of them were incinerated by magi'i as they rushed into galleries and rooms.
These Weyreans were crack marines, who forty years ago had battled demons amidst the ruins of Weyr's second greatest city. The sergeant of the platoon holding this section of the ship had seen axes cut through golemic arms, had seen reinforced marine armor pierced by antiquated weapons.
"STEP ASIDE" the magus voiced as the door tore free of its hiinges and bracers. He sighed, summoned the last of his power.
The mental voice was loud enough to make people wince.
The orks piled through. The magus muttered something. Blue streamers formed a vortex about the figure, standing between the marines and the orks. There was a flash. Blue flames rushed through the vacuum that had replaced the atmosphere of the ship, towards the orks. The magus was gone, replaced by a dense cloud of ash.
OOC: net losses: 1 battleship, 5 cruisers, 9 destroyers, 210 fighter craft. More are damaged...

OOC: 4-ton railguns that fire at 1c? GODMODE!
(1) Apologies, I forgot the quantifier. An annoying habit I've picked up while studying for the SAT II Writing exam. They travel at around 0.8c for the big battlewagons, 0.6C for the cruisers and 0.4c for destroyers. Only a dreadnaught can withstand the power of a four-ton subetheric shell discharge, and I only have two of them (and one of them is still under construction) I don't have thousands of terracostes, if that's what you're wondering.....
(2) If you haven't noticed, I lost around a third of my force
(3) I'm magitek; and those aren't rail guns.
(4) It's powergaming, not godmode. Godmode is controlling other people's actions. Powergaming is claiming overpowered guns.
@Greenskinz: I'm planning on having something like the opening scene of Wing Commander happen on the Illych, although I doubt anyone can ever use traslation tech. But you-will- get the co-ordinates of Paradigm. Sorry for the previous posts, I didn't know the racial specifics.....
Anyway, Weyreans are sort of like elves, but not really elves. That means they live for four hundred years under 'natural' conditions, and have more aptitude for 'magick' that standard humans. Marines have nanite enhancements that make them more resistant to physical damage, but that's about it.
Standard armor is mithril-steel reinforced with nanofiber and covered by a sheen of nanites. At this point, it's basically shoot, then activate shields and charge with blazing nanite swords.

OOC: I'm puttng the Ross 128 battle on hold until TFU and IB can figure out wtf their doing. TFU, if you actually invited IB (which was pretty stupid anyway, the Shivans were bound to do this) admit it and try to sort this out. IB, if you made up the "TFU asked me to help but screw him bit", admit it as well so we can work out a compromise, or figure out who to ignore outright.
For the record I'm all for having a Shivan Uberfleet burst out of nowhere and spank the Federals, as that really helps my Orks. However, if you (IB) are just barging in on a RP that doesn't really concern you in any shape or form, please kindly back out now so we can get that conflict moving again.
@Weyr: I've never seen the beginning of Wing Commander. Surprise me.
@Tor Yvresse: Thank you for that information. I'll put it in my factbook (with acknowledgements) for future reference.
IC:
Babel System
The wave of pyschic energy swept through the Ork ranks, incinerating 40 of the brutes outright. Impacting against the wall outside the bridge, the Orks coming up the corridors stopped in their tracks, momentarily unsure. Slowly they put the peices together: theres still people fighting in there, and someone had just killed a bunch of their boyz. With redoubled fury the surviving Orks stormed the bridge, blazing away at anything in sight.
Outside the two fleets continued to grind away at eachother. With Ork fighter-bomberz nearly swept from the skies, it was only copious amounts of AA fire that kept the Allied fighters from overwhelming the Ork ships. As another Kroozer fell victim to Weyrean Whooper guns, Drogol ordered all surviving kroozers to concentrate on the lead ship. Railguns, melta cannons (microwave weaponry, works on superheating a ship's hull to the point of melting) and mega-bombs ripped into the Weyreans.
OOC: Orks onboard the Illych: Approximately 100, with about 50 at the bridge.
IC:
The vast dessie fleet continued to fight the Coreworld-Coreliuan fleets, though it was becoming evident the Allies were grounding the Orks to dust. Desperate ramming attacks became more common, the Star Destroyer superstructure being a favorite target.
OOC: Ork Losses: 1 Kroozer, 4 Reavers, 3 Marauders

Heh. It was a general outburst, although I'm guilty of not telling people things, too. Thanks for the info.
@Greenskinz: Provided the orks don't just blow the bridge, they'll get the co-ordinates for the Paradigm system, which is the holy grail for anyone who wants to destroy Weyr since it contains all of the Weyrean shipbuilding facilities and the unfinished Planetforge device.
The bridge was protected by two blast doors, which sealed as soon as the last marine stumbled in. Almost as fast, the orks began to break through.
"Romaro?"
I got the co-ordinates locked in, ser, the pilot responded immediately, with no sign of fear.
The second blast door groaned under stress. Marines shifted uneasily.
Good, the captain of the WSGS Illych activated the general evacuation. Anyone still alive would hopefully get to the escape pods in time.
"Ser, the nav-com! It's not responding," the nav-com contained the co-ordinates for every system charted by Weyrean explorers, including the location of the Paradigm system.
[i}Dammit," the captain drew his sabre.

OOC: I think your homesystem is reasonably safe. First off, Orks are notorious for collateral damage (i.e. the one who machinegunned a strip-mall in the 1st thread for the hell of it), and will probably destroy the databanks by accident. Secondly, their more interested in capturing the ship than looting its computers. Thirdly, Orks are not the greatest strategists in the universe. Its looking pretty good right now that Hurog is going to die in Ross 128, throwing the Ork command into turmoil. Drogol will be more interested in getting the Illych to an Ork system and refitting her for that conflict than tracking down your capital.
IC:
The blast doors collapsed inward, torn off their hinges by the Ork onslaught. A mob of Greenskinz charged into the bridge, choppas drawn. With their ammo expended, the only weapons left to the boarders were fists, teeth, and whatever heavy or sharpened peice of metal they had on hand.
As hand-to-hand fighting engulfed the bridge, the largest Ork in the group spotted the captain, laying waste to the Orks with his sabre. With a beastial warcry, the 7", 300 pound monster charged him, shoving the wounded Ork out of the way and bringing his choppa down hard.

OOC: IB here. Ignore my post if you want, however TFU did ask for my help, his exact words were "Help me in Ross 128 so they can't reach terran prime." Something like that. Anyway my fleet does have an IC reson for passing and i'm not getting involved in the war just the battle. It's a little punishment for TFU for attempting to cheat. I can't get involved fully in the war no matter how much i would like to as i'm in the middle of crushing Corewrolds right now. Expect my fleet to leave after this battle. agreed hes a tech wanker (worse than me) just ignore him i am )(OOC Green Skinz are your forces still at andor ? and ow big is your main fleet?)
OOC: *shrug* your choice. I doubt the orks can easily glass the navcom though, unless they got some really big weapons stashed away. But the chance that someone has the co-ordinates for the Paradigm system is enough for Weyr to slag a few Greenskinz planets.....
Projectiles and energy weapons ripped into the Solarstern. The outer armor of the great ship looked akin to a charred sieve. Yet like the Akira of five decades ago, the dreadnaught was built to take damage. Star Guard sealed their suits as atmosphere leaked from the craft. Esplosions ripped through the interior from bombs, but did little damage to the frame itself. Projectiles funneled around the ship, thrown back into space by powerful vortex shields.
Ion cannon on the Solarstern arced charged matter into unshielded orkish ships. The read damage was getting done by kinetic WM cannon, which shot heavy projectiles at ships with deadly accuracy.
The captain of the cruiser WSGS Midas was siezed by an inspiration. His cruiser was equipped with sensors that could detect radiation and matter density. The navigator nodded, came up with data from the last battle, compared it to the current readings as the ship lurched beneath the impact of its own guns and the guns of its enemies. The great guns of the cruiser adjusted thir aim, and fired on a kroozer that was demolishing the Solarstern, aiming for where the navigator guessed the reactor wuld be.
While the orks concentrated fire on the dreadnaught, surviving cruisers and batteships targeted enemy ships in teams of two and three, covered by bomber craft armed with a seemingly-endless supply of antimatter canister bombs.
"Incoming transmission from central,"
"Admiral. You look like you need some help," a voice patched through, along with a good amount of static.
"And this is?" Storm inquired.
"A needle," the person on the other end chuckled. "The High King will be here in a half-hour, I believe,"
"How nice of her," Storm muttered darkly as the battlewagon shddered beneath multiple impacts. There were reports of breaches in the secondary hull. The tertiary hull held, for now.
"I'll be sure to tell her," the needle pilot laughed.

OCC: I believe the current tally for Ork ships in Ross 128 is the following: 15 Kroozers, 68 Reavers, 90 Maruaders, 5 Thunda 'Eavy Kroozers, 6 Zoomboomers, 46 Blitzboats, and the Vindictive.
I think I forgot to post stats for that ship in my factbook, so here they are:
Crew: 3000
Length: 4800m
Width: 2000m
Decks: 300
Mass: 25 million metric tons
Power 8 Anti-Matter Generators
Engines: 12 AME
Armor: 30m of composite
Weapons: 90 Dual Gauss Cannons, 20 Dual Warp Resonators, 400 cell launcher for Mega-Bomba missiles (20-35 MT range) , 30 Dual Melta Cannons, 12 Torpedo launchers
After consideration, I feel that I must ignore the Shivan presence in this thread. TFU calling them in for help was typically stupid and has no IC basis, since the Shivans have a problem with anyone existing and wouldn't help either side.
This will alter my last post in Ross 128. Instead of turning away from TFU's fleet, the Orks will continue their frontal assault.
@TFU Theres a small fleet left in Andor. I already gave its numbers in the post when Ulgor shows up in Ross, go find it.
IC:
Outnumbered 9 to one, the Ork fleet began falling back as the Coreliuans laid into them. Even the fresh ships from Andor gave ground, unable to cope with the overwhelming numbers. With Ork ships exploding left and right, the fleet began to fall apart as kaptains broke formation and boosted out-system, further weakening the fleet.
On the leading edge of the fleet, Hurog became increasingly enraged as he watched the dessies and blitzboats run from the battle, though he could understand why. A virtual wall of Coreliuans were sweeping around their flank and threatening to engulf them. If he didn't act fast the entire core of the Ork fleet could be wiped out.
The plan he came up with was characteristically orkish in nature. Ordering any kroozer in hailing distance to follow, he boosted at full power through the heart of the Federation fleet. The Vindictive, six Kroozers and four 'Eavy Kroozers ripped into the Federals, every operational gun blazing away at anything in sight. Smashing the smaller ships out of the way, the Orks tore through, even as three of the Kroozers and a Thunda went down in flames. Emerging on the far side battered and scared, the remaining ships engaged their tachyon drives and fled into the depths of space.
With Hurog's suicidal charge distracting the Federals, Ulgor seized his own chance to escape. Even as the Coreliuan fire pounded his ships into dust, the Kroozers turned sharply and powered away from the approaching fleet, using every ounce of thrust they could muster to escape. Ulgor's dessies soon followed suit, leading to the complete collapse of the Orkish flank. Hurog's own dessies followed suit, every kaptain trying to save himself and his ship from annihilation.
Orkish Losses:
Hurog: 3 Kroozers, 1 Thunda, 18 Reavers, 24 Marauders, 21 Blitzboats
Ulgor: 2 Kroozers, 9 Reavers, 23 Marauders, 1 Zoomboomer, 18 Blitzboats

The first 30 marines at the breach died to the explosion and subsequent fire blast, while the ones that survived, poured rapid-fire laser bolts into the ork hole, blasting apart the enemy. However, they kept coming, but they will pay dearly for every inch. Thermal detonators were thrown at the orks. Each bomb vaporizes a 5 meter radius, and can knock down buildings on the ground.
Jedi Knight Tomas Ragnaro, age 26, has felt the odourous disturbance of the Orks and the explosion, and got ready to challenge the enemy. After finishing his meditation, he grabbed his gold-bladed lightsaber, a form-fitting spacesuit and a blaster rifle with a thermal grenade launcher, and started heading for the breach, at the bow of the ISD.
Meanwhile, the space battle becomes more desperate as the Orks continued to ram the allied ships. Out of a fleet of 30 ships, about 12 were destroyed already, including two ISDs. Turbolasers continue to criscross the sky, and the snubfighters continued to wage aggressive negotiations (couldn't resist :D ) upon the Ork fighters.
The Nighthawk was about 15% damaged when Commodore Daniels began to call for reinforcements. Despite the battle with the Shivans, a fresh fleet will arrive within 15 minutes, give or take five. This one is the fleet of the Megalodon, the battle hardened ship who first encountered the Shivans and nearly lost, upgraded to an Imperial Elite Star Destroyer* for valor in combat . Thomas Keegan, now a Petty Officer 1st Class, has been relocated to the bridge, and the young man was no longer idealistic about war. But he still wished to fight for his country and to fight with all his strength.
*An upgrade that the Emperor can issue, it increases shielding and weapons power and gives orders to upgrade the engines for slightly faster STL and FTL speed. It also means that the ISD is a flagship and will be assigned to the Sovereign battlefleet, personally protecting the Emperor when needed. It's a rare ship that becomes one of the Imperial Elite, and a great honor, too.
