ooc> This is a continuation off of the AoN expansion thread.
For unbiased backround, one of Corpsac's fleets was hit by the MET on my superfortress as the fleet fled through hyperspace after attacking my homesystem. Corpsac's emperor died in the attack and his daughter claimed a holy war on the AoN. There were some events leading up to this, assigning blame is very subjective, so, here is the link, decide for yourself. http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=346169
No formal war declarations have been made yet.

ic> With the Gronde military always in a state of mobilization, Kalgar did not need to worry about economic damage when mobilizing in anticipation of war.
"It's amazing how, with enough propaganda, even the worst of leaders will be morned by their oppressed citizens," Kalgar said. Kalgar's brother laughed at this. He knew that Gronde did the same thing. They were both sitting in a place that looked to be a japanese garden. "What is our military situation?" Kalgar's brother, Logan, was the a leading war advisor in the AoN.
"The imperial navy is on standby for deployment, as are the 1st, 2nd, and 4th Space Marine chapters," Logan responded. "The colonial navy is indesposed due to our recend expansion, but we rarely use them in real war anyways."
"Good, good."
"Why are we mobilizing so extensively anyways? We are not at war." Logan paused. ". . .are we?"
"No one has been informed yet, but Horrar sith is dead."
"Good, the bastard. Isn't this a good thing?" Logan said, his mood improving.
"No! It is not a good thing," Kalgar said, angrily. "He is becoming a martyr. His daughter has sweared revenge."
"So. . ."
"This is not how it was supposed to go," Kalgar said. "Horrar was not supposed to die from a superweapon halfway across the galaxy. He was supposed to die by my own hand, undisputably. Corpsac has already claimed a holy war. It is only a matter of time before a formal war declaration is made."
"That's not good," Logan replied.
"Well, we knew what we were in for. Now, what about the the colonial fortifications and. . ." . . .

The Warp fortress was finnally completed. The MET was at full power. There was also another weapon; a dimentional explosion weapon (DEW). It had already been tested and could break through even some of the most difficult FTLi systems and cover huge areas with deadly energy.

The other secret weapon project was the Necrons. The Tomb forces had spread out immencly, with the help of the AoN. One of the newer members, oropher, had build his own tomb world. With the Necron forces reaching vast numbers, they would no doubt become key in the inevitable conflict.

The weel of war had begun to turn. Few nations would remain uneffected. With so much at stake, this could truly become a Crucible of War.

I must say that I can't see the Necrons posing a threat at all. This comment originating from my two years of Warhammer 40k.

ooc> Since you seem to be new, I can inform you that any experiance that you have had with them in 40k has NOTHING to do with NS.

Even so, the necrons haven't overwhelmed me with power here.

ooc> I haven't even used them yet, except for one small test during the Shivan wars. Anyways, lets try to keep ooc stuff to a minimum. K?
