Announcement from Shah Khosru of Parthia
I'm going to host a Parthian hunt of 1000 Shooban slaves. A Parthian hunt is an ancient Persian sport where men on horseback, armed with a cavalry bow and a spear hunt down animals within a large enclosed space of 6 sq miles . In the past these hunts were of lions and deer, but now we're going to use Shooban slaves. All allied nations are welcome to send someone to partake in the hunt, attendance limited to 10 foreign guests. Shah Khosru and 25 Parthian Satraps and other nobles will participate.
The hunts will be of 250 Shoobans at a time and the first one will be open only to Parthians. Some Shoobans will be armed with spears, so be careful.
Hunt 1-
The trucks full of Shooban captives rumbled into the fenced area, men women, and children sat in the truck beds. The beds were covered in barred walls and ceilings, preventing any escape of the cargo. Then, the trucks came to a stop and the gates in the back of the trucks opened. The Shooban slaves ran out into the the fields as the trucks sped through the gates which closed behind them.
The twenty six men on horses led by the Shah flew threw the open gate which shut behind them. The Shah then placed an arrow into his bow, took aim at a strong Shooban male and loosed the arrow. The stake flew towards the man and struck him in the chest. Then other Parthians loosed arrows at the hunted. The Shoobans began to run, with the horsemen on their sides loosing arrows onto the fleeing Shoobans. Shah Khosru galloped ahead of a few Shoobans armed with spears, firing arrows as his horse galloped away from the attacking male shoobans. (OOC: this technique is called the "Parthian Shot" in RL... I'm serious) At the rear of the fleeing mob several nobles had placed their bows on their backs and began to run down the unarmed Shoobans with their spears.
