OOC: This is a continuation of The Lightning Star's slave rebellion thread...

Millions of Serya soldiers are assembled throughout the northern end of Botswana, reaching all the way down to the city of Maun, which is empty because of the cannisters of VX gas released in retaliation for the milllions of peaceful citizens of Seryown killed by TLS nuclear warheads. The cannisters of VX have killed most of the citizens of the city of fifty thousand. Those who came to the Serya soldiers asking for help, a number in the hundreds, were immediately given autoinjectors, and as soon as they were healed they have been put to work on massive lines of irrigation throughout the delta and the rest of the Okavango, where they are being given the best rations providable(admittedly most of them are MREs) during mealtimes. Overall, most of these people seem to be content, many even seem to be living better than they were bare weeks ago. Meanwhile, the Serya army has threatened to use VX and other chemicals to empty other large cities unless Botswana surrenders.

OOC: Actually Botswana was the breadbasket of the Empire, and only 1% made less than $25 a day. So they arent exactly better off. And i hope you dont mind me controlling the rebel cities... with my coutnry gone i have nothing better to do :D!

IC:
Several cities still oppose the ARmed Might of the Serya Army. Most of these cities, including the capital, have been abandoned and razed to the ground, and already 20% of the southern half of TLS has had its Farmability reduced by 80 or more Percent. The rebels have fled into the Kalahari Desert.

Seryown has begun investigation into the possibility of creation of a provincial government in Botswana. They are currently coming up with candidates for the preliminary government, and deciding on the best format for it. Seryown has also approved the use of emergency funds to begin rebuilding...current possible plans include simple rebuilding of what was destroyed as well as two more radical plans - the creation of a huge city, capable of holding more people than the entire province will hold for some time, or the creation of a less population-dense area
Meanwhile, ombing runs are continuing outside of the Kalahari Desert, which appears from the inside to be being ignored, although an outside observer would note a buildup of soldiers outside it. These bombing runs are hitting everything that still resists outside of the Kalahari Desert, starting with those nearest the desert, to keep anyone else from going in, and moving out.
Prisoners are making significant strides in the beginnings of an irrigation system in the north, as well as roads and railroads leading up and down the huge river in the north, making sure to leave ample space on the sides.
Seryown is looking for corporations to aid in a massive project to deepen and widen the river by a significant amount...anyone who wishes to help should tell them so.

The Iron Concordiat

The Concordiat congratulates Seryown on its new colonial aquisition. In the interest of trade the Concordiat would like to establish air, road, and train links between Botswana and Mozambique. The Concordiat would also be willing to Seryown to access its ports as a token of our humility.

OOC: Sorry about the whole deal in TLS, things got confusing for a while but everything turned out alright in end, I mean you got an entire country out of it.

Secret IC: CM is going to help form the whites of Botswana into the "White Knights of Botswana." We will be dispatching 2,000 advisors and over 100 billion dollars worth of weaponry suitable for guerilla operations.

OOC: The People of Botswana are(or were during my reign) baisically 50% white and 50% black. Everyone was pretty much equal, and everyone was pretty rich. Besides, even if they DID want to make a White State, they would first ahve to fight of the Armed might of Seryown. and thats PRETTY hard for around 125,000 rebels armed with msotly jsut AK-47's, RPG's, and a few hundred Technicals.

OOC: Since TLS won't respond, I'm taking control of the rebels, for now. Stuff up later.

There is, for those who know, a very simple way to...wait, what? Oh, right.

Serya bombers, after several weeks of bombing, finally stopped. Soldiers had finished gathering, and the roads had finished - those workers who were working on that went to work on irrigation projects that had already begun to make land in the north farmable...far more farmable than it had been previously been. Meanwhile, a seige had begun around the Kalahari Desert. The desert was aptly named, and the rebels who had fled there were having trouble living there. There had been sporadic attacks arouind the defenses, but nothing like this.

A huge force of resistance forces began to charge in the dead of night. Surprised forces were woken up. They rushed to the trenches fumbling with rifles and night-vision goggles. Tactiicans began to move forces from other locations to envelop the huge grou, making use of the tactic they could remember. Somehow they had gotten their hands on white phosphorus, and the Serya soldiers didn't see them until well past the point where their better range and accuracy had been effectively neutralized. They had some advantage from the trenches, but by the time the second trench had spotted the resistance attack the first line was retreating madly toward them. But this line was better prepared...the tacticians had theorized that any attack that got to the second trench had to be a real attack, and grenades and machine-gun fire tore apart the oncoming rebels. But the oncoming rebels kept on coming, and eventually the second line was pushed back. They turned around and began to run, only to find that the third line was shooting in the other direction. Taking advantage of the movement of forces to aid in this, it appeared that the rest of the resistance had swung around to attack from the rear. By dawn, the resistance was completely surrounding this group of soldiers, but were themselves completely surrounded by more soldiers. Taking advantage of the dawn, soldiers from the east attacked the resistance nearest them... white phosphorus began to obscure most of the fighting...dead bodies littered the ground by the time it had dispersed. To the right and left, Serya soldiers were streaming through a gap, pursued by people with no uniform but waving weapons, pursued by more uniformed people. A sudden turn by the frontrunners, a kneeling of the first column, an attempted retreat by the trapped resistance and a half-hour of gunfire later, the entire event was over.
Hundreds of thousands lay dead in a huge, gruesome battle. The fighting wasn't over, but it was certainly closer.

Ooc: I am RPing the resistance with Seryown's permission.

Secret IC: The CM government had greatly improved his relations with Seryown following their joining the league and gaining security council status. So the proposals to let the Christian Martyrs Brigade help the white resistance forces in Botswana were totally rejected by the government... However a few private citizens (few = 8,000) from the old Libyan White Resistance Movement decided to help the whites in Botswana.

Secret Ic: Approximately 8,000 members of the White Resistance Movement were in the process of infiltrating into Botswana across the Namibian border after having landed on the coasts along the barren stretches of the Kalahari Desert, vast empty lands of nothing. They were being led by Bishop Herman Von Felben himself, he believed this would be his chance to achieve martyrdom. God had told him the time to fight personally was now. This was his time to shine... There were approximately twenty thousand white citizens of Botswana that were already in various resistance groups. They were going to be incorporated into the White Resistance Movement and would be armed, equipped, and trained by the WRM.

Secret Ic: The WRM operatives are currently speeing towards the border of Botswana and are readying to sweep into Botswana to join the resistance movement. The Namibian government didn't really know what was going on, because the deserts the WRM used are largely barren uninhabitated wastes, and besides, the WRM leader Felben had tossed over 100 million dollars to the right people in the government to get them to look the other way.

OOC: There is no more resistance.... YOu utterly crushed my army! Its nto liek for EVERY country you invade there HAS to be resistance. As long as you give them food, shelter, jobs, money, and the freedomd to pray as they choose they'll follow you.

OOC: There was! But its been about 6 ingame years sicne you captured Botswana. LAst i checked, you havent been driving the peopel to work on deathcamps and using them for slaves. The Generians did, and now they have a full-fledged revolt on their hands. So don go the way of Generia, be nice to teh people.

And i guess it would be ok if there wer a few thosuands rebels, but they would most likely want to re-join TLS, not become a fanatical white state...

Ooc:
That is how I work, I just use whatever time system seems to fit for the RPing I need to do. I don't place artificial time rules on my RPs as many people do. Also, I think LTS has blown his chance to be in on this. Yes?

It was a warm day near Gaborone, the WRM had decided to shift their movement and had swung from Namibia into South Africa (A friendly nation to the WRM) and they were positioning themselves right along the South African/Namibian border, Gaborone is right on the border, a perfect place... The 8,000 militants were going to sweep across the border and attempt to capture Gaborone, combined with 6,000 white rebels from inside the nation... Attacks throughout the country by 14,000 white rebels in other regions would tie down any forces that might muster to defend Gaborone... In a few hours the attack would begin. They would open the attack with a brief but intense barrage from 100 howitzers and 300 mortars, then sapper teams which would be in place before the bombardment began would use MILANS and RPGS to destroy as many enemy vehicles as possible. And to sow confusion.
