Colodia to annex Venezuela (Earth II)

Colodia
02-09-2004, 22:45
President Michael Pepper, facing a hopeless election and a landslide victory for a canidate for his own party, seeks a way to bring another country into Colodian power, Venezuela.

Located East of the Colodian state of Colombia, and North to the Colodian state of Northern Brazil (see map: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v334/MatthewCH/NationStates/SouthAmerica.gif), the President sees this as a simple victory for Colodia, as the capitol (Caracas) is a mere 7 miles from the Caribbean Sea.

About 100,000 infantry men stationed in Virginia state are prepared to be transported at any minute. The Colodian-Venezuelan and Northern Brazil-Venezulan borders will blocked off and guarded by 200 tanks, and an extra 100,000 men, also prepared to invade Venezuela at a moment's notice.

President Pepper's message to Venezuela was simple:
Surrender peacefully, you have no chance. Colodia is the dominant power of South America and you will submit as such

Congress is expected to pass this declaration of war within the hour, despite the harsh words of the President. Stay tuned for details.

Congress has accepted President Pepper's declaration for war with Venezuela WITH THE EXCEPTION that the President does not tolerate ANY acts of torture, abuse, or inhumane acts against any citizen or soldier of Venezuela. Also, citizens of Venezuela must not be shot or killed, exception being that they are attacking Colodian citizens/soldiers or the killing/attacking soldier is 100% positive that the citizen is going to attack.

Immediatly following this declaration, 100,000 soldiers departed from the Virginia Naval Port to Caracas, the capitol of Venezuela. Tanks will not be needed, but Air Force support will be given upon request within seconds. It is estimated that the soldiers would reach the beaches of Venezuela in 15 hours.

Euroslavia strongly disapproves of this Imperialist attempt to pressure Venezuela into giving up its independence. The Venezuelan people should not be forced to submit to Colodian rule. We will not go as far as approving military action against this blatant Imperialism, but it will not be ruled out. We therefore say to Colodia to watch its back...

Globalhawk UAV recon indicated a massive force of ten divisions about to march on Venezuela. Normally, Tyrandis wouldn't care if some third world country were attacked, but the Imperial Triumvirate had a major oil contract in the area. We greatly appreciate your friendly reaches to Colodia. Although needing aircraft in the French Guiana is unnessecary in this war, we could use a small portion in the event Colodia is under attack. In return, your welcome to request a base in any state of Colodia in Southern America (Colombia, Northern Brazil at this moment). Concerning the ability to let our troops assault from Barbados and Grenada for an invasion of Trin. and Tob., we are greatly appreciative.

We equally would like to extend friendly relations to Communist Mississippi, as not only they are our neighbors in Southern America, they are our neighbors in Northern America. Colodian states Virginia and West Virginia border with Communist Mississippi's Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennesse.

We would be in debt to you, so feel free to request anything reasonable should your country need it following our invasion of Trinidad and Tobago.

Washington D.C., The Oval Office

The President just relayed a classified message to an undisclosed nation as his Army Commander busted through the doors of the Oval Office to give the President some bad news.

"Sir, it seems that the Tyrandis fools have decided to try their luck here after they had their asses saved in Russia." the Army Commander told the President.

"What do you mean" replied President Pepper.

"Mr. President, the Tyrandis will soon be mounting an attack on our Army/Naval force to Caracas. Fortunatly for us, our force is nearing Nicaragua, our beloved state in the Latin Americas."

"Seriously? HA! This is perfect. Not only will this get the Tyrandis off my back, it will definatly get the citizens to vote me again after I show them that the Colodians are strongest near their homeland! How long until the army reaches the beaches of Venezuela?"

"3 hours, Sir."

"Excellent. I want spy satellites watching what type of attack the Tyrandis are planning, and we'll have plenty of time to get defense to the Army forces before any such attack. Oh this is simply excellent. They fail to realize the superiority of Colodia in jungle warfare. We have the best, the experianced, and the elite tactics."

"Yes sir, right away."

We thank you very much. We would be more then willing into helping your get the Tyrandis out of Venezuela if his troops do not leave. We can easily land more then one million troops and have thousands of French Guianaian fighters help in a guerrilla warfare against the Tyrandis. These Guianaian fighters have grown up in the jungles and know how to live off the land for years if need be.

We will also begin to launch A-10 Thunderbolt attacks on locations known to be inhabited(sp?) by their military forces if need be.

We will withdraw the 22nd, if and only if Colodia will guarantee the sustainability of oil contracts that we have negotiated with the current Venezuelan government. Also, you must ensure transportation back to the Tyrandisan mainland (OOC: I control Australia and New Zealand).

Also, I feel that I should tell you that the 22nd Air Assault is composed of soldiers experienced in all forms of warfare, including COIN (COunter-INsurgent), jungle, guerilla, and conventional. They are also Morning Musume, genetically and psychologically conditioned to be the perfect soldier.

It is up to Colodia if he will allow the oil to still be drilled. We can guarentee that your troops will be able to arrive back to Tyrandis safely. We have many cargo jets as well as passenger jets we can press into service if need be.

As for your troops, Guianaian troops have lived in the jungles all their lives. They have been taught in guerrilla warfare by the tactics of Mao Tse-tung and Che Guevara. Our motherland is also in range of Venezuela so is many of our barrier islands located in the gulf. Think about what you say comrade. You may have twenty two thousand or so troops moving into Venezuela, but we can easily bring in more then one million troops from Louisiana and another two hundred thousand guerrilla fighters from French Guiana. You would do very little damage because you would be utterly surrounded by enemy forces.

Colodia would be more than happy to let you keep your precious oil contracts with Venezuela and would still be effective under Colodian rule. However, you must restrict military personnel from the oil excavation areas. Remember, this is a favor to you, not a cry for mercy.

Venezuela should have ultimate control of its own oil drilling. Seeing as Colodia's Imperialistic moves have led him to invade this independent country, we see them exploiting Venezuelan oil for their own use, rather than for the nations that are dependent on them for their oil needs. Euroslavia condemns this action, and doesn't believe that Colodia will stop any sort of 'unjustice' against the Venezuelan people. We are currently viewing this situation as it unfolds, and will not hesitate to make a quick decision, if needed.

With several submarines, a battleship, and 20 F-15's watching their backs, the Army invasion of 100,000 men reached the beaches of Venezuela, about 7 miles away from their target of Caracas.

There was an immediate counter-move to get the Colodians at their most vulnerable moment. Around 1,000 Venezuelan foot soldiers trying to muffle the Colodians. However, they failed to have good air support, as 5 B-52 bombers came above them and bombed them minutes before the Colodians arrived, killing about 190 and injuring 90 more in the first run across the beach.

The Colodians arrived upon the beach, guns opening fire the moment they set foot upon the sand of the beach. Many brave Colodians simply over-powered the Venezuelans, seeing as how they out-numbered them easily.

Although, not all Colodians were so lucky. Some were killed before reaching the beaches, thanks to grenades tossed at the top-less naval transports. About 200 Colodians died in this manner.

After around 400 Venezuelans were killed in the opening assault, they figured their only chance was to retreat back to the city and regroup there. Unfortunatly, the B-52 bombers managed to catch up to a couple hundred of them once they were safely away from the Colodians. Rising the death toll of the Venezuelan soldiers to 560.

By nightfall, the Colodians had their base, and were ready to invade the city of Caracas the next day. Doing so will ensure their total victory. There were about 300 Colodian deaths, but none of the dead had fallen in shame. There were all heroes, and will come back home as heroes to the cause.

Being fully rested, guarded, prepared, and ready for a conclusion to their invasion of Venezuela, the Colodian troops set out for their 7 mile march to the capitol of Venezuela.

Their march wouldn't be without disturbance however...

In the 7 mile stretch of road, the Colodians faced many ambushes, by around 100 soldiers each. At first, they were mere child's play thanks to Colodia's superior strength in numbers. However, after 100 Colodian deaths and a dozen ambushes, the Colodians discovered that the Venezuelans were not giving up yet. The closer they were to the capitol, the more Venezuelans they were forced to kill. The closer they got to the capitol, the harder it was to kill them.

As the Colodians were 1000 meters from the gates of Caracas, the capitol of Venezuela, they figured that it was time for assistance from the Air Force. 5 F-15 fighters and 20 B-52 bombers can do a good job to shake up the Venezuelan capitol, and ripen it up for a Colodian ground invasion.

The Colodians, raring to smash through the gates of Caracas, called upon an airstrike to weaken the defenses of the city and to shake up the people in the city. 5 F-15 fighters and 20 B-52 bombers were called upon to do the job.

And they came in a lightning daze, sucessfully dropping bombs the second they reached the city limits. More and more buildings tumbled down to the ground, citizens screamed, children were killed, schools were destroyed, soldiers layed dead with their other half of their bodies one-hundred feet away. All problems of the politicians, problems to be adressed once Venezuela became a state of Colodia.

Once the Air Force strike began to retreat, the Army of 950,000 men busted through the gates of Caracas. An overwhelming force, yes, but one that's needed to show people that we don't kid when we take over a country.

Citizens in Venezuela, especially children, were grabbed by Colodian soldiers and handed to other soldiers, who would take the children to a safe basecamp to ensure their survival. Other citizens of Venezuela were spared their lives, despite being on their own to live through the rest of the invasion. So long as they stayed away from cross-fire, they were safe. Couldn't say the same for the soldiers of Venezuela.

After fortifying tall buildings and key buildings in the city's edge, things began to develop quickly. Venezuelan soldiers donned white flags and surrendered themselves to Colodia. Others ate a slow grenade and ran toward Colodian soldiers. But soldiers who didn't surrender were shot on sight.
