The Type 32 Longsword destroyer was laid down five years ago, and today the first five were launched into the fleet. Another five will be operational in six years, and then an order will be placed for ten more. The Type 32 is the backbone of the fleets anti-air capabilities and can also fight submarines and u-boats.

What kind of speeds are we talking about this destroyer being able to accomplish, and maintain?

Also is it primarily an anti-sub, anti-air or combined mission profile thingy?

Ah - Missed that out.
It can go up to 31 Knots per Hour and is primarily an anti-air destroyer with anti-submarine capability.
