An OOC question

Why does it seem to be that everyone is ignoring every IC post that I make?
There's a lot of stuff that's kind of like mine, yet they get all of the replies, and mine all get nothing. I haven't done anything to make people mad, that I know of, and if I have, I would like to know what I did so that I can rectify the problem.
Thanks to anyone that replies.

I don't know of any post you made that I ignored. I've just not seen you post in a thread I'm following.

Well, here's the basic rundown...

1.)You're a new player, therefore, you don't have an RP circle of friends yet. Most players are involved in RPs already, with people they know. Just keep trying to get in RPs, and try to get a name as a good player. Then, you'll get interest.

2.)Many people do not post in RPs, even if they're reading it. You may be getting views (if logged out, they won't show on the view-count) and not know it.

3.)If you want more notice, may I suggest reading this sticky I typed out to help new players. Linky to Sticky (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=352036)

Hope that helps you.

OOC: as a follow up to Kaukolastan's post, your nation is rather large, but your post number is low. People don't know much about who you are it would seem. Try jumping into a few threads and actively participating in them, get your name known. I note that the 2 threads you posted as examples are threads you started. Are you ignored in threads that some one else started and you've just joined in to RP?

Kaukolastan: Actually, I'm an older nation than you.
I joined in Jan of 2003, but quit playing over the summer due to not having internet at home. I started playing again when I got internet here at the house, and the mods/admins reinstated my nation. I was fairly well respected back then, Although noone wanted future tech. As a matter of fact, I was around when the original post in the "What godmodding is" thread was posted.
And Mauiwowee: a couple of threads I tried to get into a ways back, people ignored me too.

Well, I just posted on one of your threads. I generally just search the boards for whatever looks interesting, although I know I miss some threads that would probably be good because I'm not there when they're posted.

However, you only have a couple of posts under your belt on the forums, at least since you came back. That makes you new to almost all the players here.

Exactly. You may have been playing since December 2002, but if you hadn't posted on the forums until a week ago, you would be a humongous nation that nobody knows anything about. As I said (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=353535) in another thread (in which I refer to Kaukolastan's thread), it takes a while to earn RP respect.

I'd post in other threads and get yourself known that way. A lot of times, people need to have a reason for you to register on their radar screens. I try to read as many threads as I can, but for realism's sake, I don't get involved in every single thread I'd like to because that would entail being at war constantly. I try to choose fairly carefully to involve myself in an RP that will be fun and rewarding for all.

From what I've seen of your posts, you look like you have potential as an RPer. Sometimes, posts just drop off the face of public view and other times, they get major action. That's just the nature of the beast sometimes.
