"The Republic of Kaufmanstad is in a panic tonight for the first time in Modern history. After communists were suspected in the burning of Congress Hall in Stuville and the arrest of the Workers' Socialist Party leader, all hell has seemed to broken loose. A widespread riot, to some, a revolt, has been unleashed in the coastal city of Kaufmansburg. President Thoams Boudinot, I understand, is now making a speech outside Congress Hall."
The president approaches the podium, carefully placed to display the fire-burned shell of Congress Hall. Boudinot shuffles his speech and looks into the camera. He is visibly distraught.
"Kaufmanstaders, tonight I have the unfortunate duty to inform you that our Republic is now in a state of Civil War. During our nation's late economic depression, communist elements gained crediblity and foreign aid. This foreign aid now includes intiating what is likely to become a painful experience for our country.
Charles Matthis, and the forces of his 'People's Revolutionary Party' have for all intents and purposes occupied the City of Kaufmansburg. He has declared himself 'President of the Executive Committee' and further more declared that Kaufmansburg and its evirons part of the new 'Workers' Socialist Republic of Kaufmanstad.' His forces are gaining strength and the army is deploying to protect Stuville, the captial.
Terrorist activity under the guise of communist revolution has also appeared in Raleightown, and Coast City.
Although the Communists are outnumbered, I fear that they will recieve more foreign help and and try to overthrow the legal government. I ask all loyal Kaufmanstaders to resist the communists in every way possible. Matthis is a self made tyrant with none of the best interests of the people in his mind.
I conclude tonight by asking the international community for assisstance. Primarily in blockading the city of Kaufmansburg.
May Liberty and Honesty Rule Forever."
