"In a shocking turn of events, Chancellor Feador Alexeevich has just announced Emperor Alexei's decision to disband the Imperial Senate. Chancellor Alexeevich's speech cited "reasons of national stability" as the cause for the drastic move. For some time, rumors have been circulating about this decision, but it was never suspected that the Emperor would actually go through with it. This comes in the wake of extreme resistence by the senate to Emperor Alexei's foreign policies and the recent Shoobooshaban and Azeri campaigns. The Chancellor reiterated that the Imperial Congress shall not be disbanded, but shall remain as the sole house of Parliament. Ambassador Gray sat in his leather chair watching the evening news. The debat about the senate had aroused his interest. He thought to himself "This might errupt into conflict". He got up from his chair and walked over to his dark oak desk, sat in his other leather chair that was behind it, and picked up his phone.

She had spent a week in a Generian prison cell and had not been permitted to bathe before her trial, giving the woman a very unpleasant appearance. The judge stared coldly at her. His distaste for the traitor was palpable.

He spat out the words as if they left a foul taste in his mouth.

"You have been convicted of high treason by Emperor Alexei himself. You have greatly offeneded his eminence. Before you meet your deserved end, you are demanded to apologize to our great Emperor."

Maria laughed dryly.

"Apologize? To him?"

She spat on the courtroom floor. The judge spoke again.

"You sicken me. For that outburst and refusing to apologize to his grace, the punishment shall be harsher than usual. Praetorians! Take this woman outside. She shall learn her lesson publically, before we put her to death."

The Praetorians grabbed Maria by the arms. She tried to struggle, but their strength was too much. She was dragged outside of the courthouse, where a large table sat in the center of a plaze, surrounded by onlookers. The crowd jeered and booed the woman as she exited the courthouse.

Outside, Maria Zarapovski was shackled to the table by her hands and feet. Two masked soldiers approached her. Tearing off her clothes, they began to rape her publically, before commencing the usual forms of torture. As her battered, bleeding, barely conscious body was dragged to the chopping block, the crowd continued to laugh and boo the filthy traitor. Her neck was forced onto the block, and the axeman brought his tool down, sending her head rolling across the street. Thus was the iron will of the Empire.

Emperor Alexei sat in the darkened room, the only light coming from a slowly dying cigarette that hung from his lips. Suddenly, the doors were thrown open, and the Empress Natasha burst into the room. She rushed towards the throne.

"Alexei! Have you gone completely mad!? Do you intend to war over something like this? You fool!"

Alexei mumbled, his eyes half closed.

If ever the Generic Empire crosses paths with Eldanor or any of West Scotland's allies, or so much as turns a bad eye to us, you will rue the day that your nation was forged. Is this understood?

How wantonly we threaten for a difference in policy? Lord Eldric laughed harshly, and sent forward his reply:

We have returned a threat which you yourself gave, by wantonly threatening one of our close allies and daring to send threatening military ships in the presence of the Isles. The next time your military shows up in the Zoogie Isles, we will not be so forgiving.

I am not going to interfere with the governing of the country, I am only sternly warning you to never again threaten with invasion or try to force into slavery the citizens of any nation in the Isles.

Further, Eldanor made no aggressive movements of any kind. She simply expelled all Generian citizens and requested the return of her own; is this aggression? Did any Generians come under physical harm? No, they were only sent to their native land. Eldanor SAW to it that Generians would return, and what did you do? Detain all Eldanorians in your country and threaten 'severe consequences' if a single Generian was fined.

You are trying my patience, Emperor. You have made the first aggressive step be detaining Eldanorians and threatening severe consequences. Say what you will, but we will interpret such actions as intention to physically harm those detainees. You send your military into the waters of the Isles...be thankful that they were allowed safe passage.

How hypocritical of you. Is it not you that wantonly threatened a nation which differed with your views? My tolerance is waning. I reiterate, do what you will with your own nation, but never compromise and breach the security of the Isles.

Though we are not formal allies, our close proximity to one another necessitates a sort of mutual care for the region. Therefore I would suggest that you allow Eldanor to back down. There is no purpose to fighting such an insignificant country, as it would only cause debt in Generia. Barrettans also do not wish to be a neighbor to a country that cannot be trusted for its stability. Before now, Generian policy was something that could be trusted as straightforward. This should only be taken as a suggestion, as I have no wish to dictate foreign policy to another sovereignty. However, in the event that talks dissolve into war, know that Barrettan troops will be deployed to your aid. Thank you.
