"Warsprite" Is the first Battlecruiser launched in the history of the Hogsweatian Royal Navy. It has two sister ships, the "Warsight" and "Bitter".
Warsprite will be finished early next autumn, and in five years Warsight is to follow, then in another four Bitter.
Firstly, some general specifications for you to go by. As a note, Warspite, Warsight, and Bitter are all of the "Warsprite" Class. Please not that as only space has been provided for half the sailors on board, it is Hogsweatian Naval Policy to only abandon ship if the ship is so severely damaged that that many sailors are dead anyway. It is possible for more to be fitted.

Doesn't look too bad, but, a number of suggestions...

1) Weight is a little low, probably more like 50-60,000 tons for a vessel longer than an Iowa. You should still be able to hit 28 kts easily though.

2) Not sure about the powerplant...are you sure you are not confusing this with the propulsion arrangement?

3) Main guns....way too many for that low weight and armour. Think more along the lines of eight to twelve, especially if using twin turrets. You might be able to fit quadruple mounts on, but the cramped conditions wont be great for the gunnery crews.

4) Secondary gun armament. Now, are those 6" weapons in actual side barbettes or do you mean they are located alongside the superstructure? I have more to say on the subject but I need an answer to that first. And
one? 114 mm gun? Why?

5) you may want to stick NBC protection in with the other safety eqipment.

:D

1.) Gotcha . Its based off the British Warspite. 'Cept bigger.

2.) Probably.

3.) I'm not sure what I was on. What i've stated doesn't make sense. It should be 8. I'll edit ASAP.

4.) The pic isn't too clear. They are located in barbettes below the Second cannon, and the far right Harpoons.

5.) Jahowl >.> Oh ya, and the 114MM is on top of the left hand superstructure building. Its different because.. Its special :p

Hmm... for some reason I can't see the picture of your ship, Hogsweat. All I get is a red X in a white box.

Is this URL right (I pulled it off "properties")

In addition, I have a slight nitpick...

Range: 8500 KM at 10 Knots

It should be 8500 KM at 28 Knots.

Kriegorgrad in interested in procuring 2 of these Battlecruisers and the production rights. We have already pulled away 3.5 billion from trivialities such as health and education. We eagerly await your reply.

Yours,

Grand Inquisitor Matthias, Keeper of the Seal, Guardian of the Tome

OOC: Good ship without any wanking except from the nice, bigassed guns and even that is good wanking anyway! No more "OMFG I R T3H SCREMJATZ111TEHPEERS YUR ARMUR111" and thank the heavens that there are no "hypersonic bullets" to be seen. I think you'll remember that little episode with a bitter taste or a touch of humour.

The production rights for the Warspite will be wired to your embassy [if we didn't torch it in the revolution] in Hogsweat. From there you can do what you wish with them.

Thank you for this excellent battle ship, I just heard of the revolution, thus I assume that your shipping manufacturers are out of commission for a while? No matter, we shall contruct this behemoth ourselves.

Thank you.

just a few suggestions.

prob if your a brit ship (noted the use of seawolf), you might want to fit each heavy gun turrent with a turrent mounted goalkeeper CIWS.

also a medium range SAM system froma GLCM type launcher to provide depth of air cover.

sure it will work in conjunction with a fleet carrier, but the Seawolf and CIWS give you last minute protection from aircraft and missiles, but you'd really like something to pop off the approaching aircraft 30/40 k away.

Brits used to use Sea Dart mk 2s, but that is 1980/1990s technology.

also you might want something like a subroc missile launcher. depth charges are so 1940s.

harpoon is a decent ssm, and the 400mm guns should have a rnage close to 30km, but if your carting around a heavy piece of machinery like that, its nice to have over the horizon weapon systems, and its sets you up for a nice line of maintanence supply contracts.

also while I am new to this game, a big part of selling merchandise is selling maitenaince and supply contracts (you can make half again over 4/5 years) or making slightly irregular ammunition (say for instance the CIWS doesn'tuse off the shelf ammo rather DU shells).

or you could go instead of CIWS the experimental metalstorm guns (still being tested, guns which can fire at 12,000 rpm and have no moving parts).

Also many manufacturers extol the virtues of their radar/sonar/satellite systems, as well as ECM and jamming technologies.

cheers

Kaptaingood

BTW how does one find out howmuch cash one has in ones economy to build such bohemoths?
