Terrorist Bombings in Two Cities

Lexustralany
31-08-2004, 10:15
A devastating incident occured in St. Lucious, Lexustralany (Lu-Koi) when a bomb went off inside its Trade Center. The bomb was suspected to be planted by a terrorist group outside of the region. 26 people were killed by the bomb and another 245 injured, with 67 of them critically wounded. In a bizarre twist another bomb in Romexicaneth, Lexustralany went off at roughtly the same time as the bomb in St. Lucious. The bomb is said to have been planted deep within the building, yielding enough explosives to level the entire Capitol Building. The death toll is estimated to be around 500.

So far, there have been 23 confirmed deaths and 57 severely injured. No word has been given out on whether the two bombs were placed by the same terrorist groups or placed by coincidence. King James II, of Lexustralany, was away on a trip just 7 miles away from the Trade Center in St. Lucious. Just moments ago he made a statement, declaring the acts of terrorism would be looked into immediately and swiftly dealt with. No word on what exactly is being done.

With a strong voice, with an accent similar to an Englishman's, King James II said, "These ludicrous acts of terrorism must be dealt with. Never before has this nation seen an act of terrorism of this degree, much less an act of terrorism at all. The people of Lexustralany shall not tolerate this. Believe me when I say this... we will find the source of these terrorist acts... we will find the culprits..."

The citizens of the young nation were extremely shocked when word of the bombings had spread. These are the first accounts of terrorist acts on this nation and hopefully... the last. People from all around St. Lucious have been asked about their feelings and this is what they had to say...

SLN: "What were your thoughts on the bombings when you first heard about it?"

Cit.1: "I was like... man... who would do such a thing? And here in this nation? Of all places... It's like... aw man..."

SLN: "Excuse me, how did you react to the terrorist attacks on the Capitol and the Trade Center?"

Cit.2: "I couldn't believe it... And I still can't."

SLN: "Do you think another act like these will happen in the future?"

Cit.2: "I certainly hope not. I mean... yeah... that could have been me, ya know? I live just a block from the Trade Center and I pass it every day on my way to work and on my way to pick up my kids from school. It's just not right."

SLN: "What actions do you think should be taken toward these acts?"

Cit.3: "I say we find them brutes and teach them a thing or two. We work to bloody hard and we've worked too bloody long to get where we are. And for what? To have it blown to a blasted pile of rubble? NO! We should act now and find the bloody B******S and string them up in the middle of St. Lucious Square!"
