OOC: I'm a little confused, but that's because I haven't ever played badminton seriously so some of the rules may confuse me.

If I need to add more compeititors or adjust the current ones I will

Hudecian competitors:

Men's singles

Fan Feng: A young athelete born in China but raised in Hudecia, Fan has shown incredible speed and agility but is lacking in the strength to make effective smashes. He hopes to gain some visibility with a strong showing in this competition. Hopefully he keeps his temper under control while the camera is running.

Women's singles

Christine Chen: A third generation Hudecian, Christine has spent her entire life in Hudecia and feels no attachment to her ethnic homeland. She has been working hard at improving her skills after an accident broke her leg about 3 years ago. Although she has lost a lot of her speed, her ability to control the birdie is astonishing. Despite doing well at the all-Hudecia competitions, Chen is looking for some international exposure.

Women's doubles

Madeleine Machiowski and Irene Maeva: These two young women have only competed at the high school and university level and are relatively new to working with a partner. The competition it is hoped will solidify their partnership and bring them closer together, as well as giving them a chance to compete in a serious tournament

Two players have decided to represent Taiwan.

Jiang Xian Quan

Formerly a player for the Chinese, Jiang was sold by the Guangzhou Badminton Club to the Taiwan National Badminton Federation for a sum of $US 5.6m. He is currently the 2nd seed in Taiwan, with great fitness and speed although only moderate strength, having represented Chinese Taipei at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and won a silver medal. Described by his peers as kind and easy-going off the court, he is known for his determination for victory on court, at one time playing with a swollen eye after being hit with a shuttle.

Nicky Wang: A 16 year old badminton prodigy, Nicky plays in the open grade and is the 3rd female seed in Taiwan. During the recent tour to Hong Kong, her team won 3-1. Her strength is powerful for a woman, but appears to have suffered a slump in form recently, losing to 15th seed Lianne Chen.
