I am need of 50 battleships. I already have 100 but they are being decommissioned due to old age. So I need to replace them.

which battleship is your best one?
I seriously doubt you could afford to run all those battleships and still maintain other ships in your navy. Plus your other armed forces would be seriously under funded.

On a 6 trillion dollar defense budget?
Yeah, you have to remember you have to pay for crew wages, ammo, supplies, upkeep, and all that other crap.
Perhaps you should get some Halladi-built Kirov BattleCruisers?

Scroll down a bit, there's four classes for sale.

The Yamato and the Nagato-classes are the best battleships, whereas the Amagi and the Aratama-classes are the best battlecruisers.

I have a total of 7 trillion dollars in my military budget. 1 trillion dollars is set aside for maintenance and salaries.
How about you don't sell to him. He is merely buying arms to attack WHittier and help his only ally, Hataria. Don't help this godmodder.

And even with the nonexistent $7 trillion, you'd be hard pressed to have that many battleships. Your other armed forces would hardly receive any funds and your sailors wouldn't be paid very well. Plus, you'd have trouble affording fuel and munitions and such. Also, keep in mind that you need a certain number of auxiliary ships for every offensive ship in your fleet; the more and bigger offensive ships you have, the more auxiliary ships you need.

Thank you Unum, I refused sale to the Godmodder here with an ally that is ignored by all after he was destroyed.
(Sorry to post off topic, but that seems to be the fashionable thing to do here. I just wanted to exclaim, "stop using that ****ing calculator! The next nation to use that ****ing calculator is going to get shelled into oblivion!" It's terrible. Apart from anything else (and there's much else wrong with it), it seems to think that the US has the most powerful per capita economy possible... in truth it doesn't even have the strongest on earth, let alone in Nation States! Luxembourg must be godmodding, I suppose. There is no way that producing a gross domestic product equivalent to US$30,000 per capita requires a nation to be entirely consumed by the pursuit of wealth. He can have fifty or a hundred battleships... they might not be very good, and the people might complain bitterly and unelect/over-throw the government for wasting their money, but still, that damn calculator has to die!)

Just battleships and no other support vessels? Doesn't seem to smart to me.
Now that I think about it, sell him the ships, but not auxiliaries. I want to see them run out of fuel in the middle of the ocean. Then when he attacks Whittier they are sitting ducks.

NSEconomy is ridiculous; according to it my military budget is somewhere between 20-30 trillion dollars. So, if I played that 1 NS year equals 1 RL day then I'd get, on average, $25 trillion to spend every single day. That is completey and utterly ridiculous. Try to stick with a more realistic calculator.

Hah. Pipian is clearly based on liberal political bias.
NS Economy at least takes real world events into account.

Please try to keep discussion generally relevant and IC. If it becomes necessary, I can split off a discussion of GDP and nation statistics into a separate thread.
Off topic, there are few if any really good calculators out there. NSEconomy, for example, may consider a <$20,000 per capita GDP to be frightening, and generally operates on a slight exponentiation of GDP/category, further using some very lousy category ranges as a basis. (Sunset has a version with better category ranges, if similar biases.)
Not many people would be scared of an economy with $20,000 GDP per capita.
I might note - directly on topic - that psychological or PR reasons may be the chief cause of a vast battleship fleet, and they are fairly easy to afford if you don't bother with many of the other items militaries spend most of their money on. Like strategic bombers, ICBMs, aircraft carriers, large land armies, nuclear submarine fleets, etc.

The South Pacific pays its troops 30k pacific dollars a peice. We provide them with barracks but they must purchase their own food and linen and uniforms.
The government provides them with weapons.
