Treky's Spy in Gurian
It was a beautiful summers day in Gurian, a nation in the middle if Gorlon. The forests south-west of Gurian City where a beautiful site to see.
Far from the highway and any major road, met two people, outside of a make-shift camp. There were two men. One, was in the shadows, not much of him could be seen, but there other man looked to be 5'11 inches, maybe 6 ft, blond hair, brown eyes, wearing nothing but some jeans and a jacket. Him and the other man where talking...
"Look, Sam Trekys needs the info now..." said the man in the shadows
"HEY, barry my name isn't sam, remember, i took on the identity Jhon Le'son" Said the man standing out in the open
"Ok, sorry "John", look Trekys wants to intel on the internal affairs of Gurian within the next few days." says barry
"But why do they want it? i was sent out here, away from my wife, Maria and our unborn baby" said John, with a said expression
"Look, the sooner you get the intel Sa--i mean John, the faster we all get home. Now, your doing this cause Trekys might want to be allies and they want to try out a new way of picking them, by seeing if there is any unrest in the nation through spies, now c'mon u said u have an hour left in your lunch break and it'll take you that long to get back" said barry with a smile
"Ok Barry, i'll see you tomorrow same time, same place" says John, getting into his small little car to head back to the dirt road.
As John was turning to leave, Barry heard what sounded like trucks in the area, which was weird cause he thought this place was secluded from the rest of the country....He went to go get something to eat when he heard footsteps, he stopped and reached for his pistol.....
Back on the highway, John was heading back to his job as a secretary for a high ranking military offical, he tought that would be a good position to gather what ever internal affairs intel he may need....he was an hour away.
A small convoy of supply trucks was rolling down a nearby dirt road, leaving a dust cloud in their wake. The road twisted and turned, and then eventually disappeared. The supply trucks kept going, though. Finally, they came to the edge of a forest. The lead supply truck stopped. The driver pulled out a map and began to look over it.
"Hey guys, just hang tight!" he shouted, frantically looking around his map. "Just gotta find the place we need to go!" As the lead driver fumbled with his map, several camoflagued figures moved about in the forest, surveying the supply trucks.
"This is Perimeter Defense to Security HQ. Come in."
"This is Security HQ. Reading you loud and clear, Perimeter Defense."
"Spotted a small group of trucks...we think it's the delivery. Just getting routine confirmation."
"Roger that, Perimeter Defense. Check for the signal."
The man put down his radio and looked at the lead supply truck. He paid particular attention to the back. The license plate read "IRHOT4U". The Special Forces operative couldn't help but let out a slight chuckle.
"Perimeter Defense to Security HQ, we have confirmation. This is the supply truck convoy."
"Roger that, Perimeter Defense. Keep an eye on 'em and don't give them any hints, though. Security HQ out."
The Special Operations team continued to stealthily observe the supply truck convoy.
"AHA!" exclaimed the lead driver, clearly pleased with himself. "Alright boys, let's hit the road! Stay close to my tail...this'll be a rough ride!" The engines of the supply trucks turned on one by one. Once all were active, the lead supply truck began to slowly move into the forest. The path it was taking was not smooth by any means, but it was absent of any significant obstacles. Occassionally one of the other supply trucks would hit a tree, but they were going so slowly it was impossible for these impacts to do any damage. After what seemed like hours, the lead supply truck stopped.
"Stay still, guys!" the lead driver yelled. He took out a flashlight and began to turn it on and off in a seemingly random pattern. Finished, he turned off the flashlight and waited. A few moments later, the ground in front of the lead supply truck began to move. The door slowly moved back, revealling a sloped entrance to an underground passage. The supply truck convoy moved forward, down the slope, into the underground passage. All over were cameras and automated turret systems, all intently pointed at the supply truck convoy. At the end of the passage was a heavy blast door, which was sealed. As the last of the convoy moved in, the door concealing the entrance began to close.
The door concealing the entrance finally closed with a resounding clunk. Now a scanner came on. A red scanner beam moved up and down, scanning the supply trucks. After several scans, the beam turned off. Now the blast door began to open. The supply truck convoy slowly moved forward, under the opening blast door. Now they were in a large loading bay type area. Numerous blast doors covered various exits from the room, none of them opened right now. Crates were everywhere, and the room itself was bustling with activity. Forklifts carried loads from here to there, workers loaded and unloaded trucks, and supervisors roamed the area. There was one very large lift in the middle of one of the sides of the room which the trucks drove toward. They parked, and the drivers got out of the trucks. A supervisor noted them, and walked toward the trucks.
"Hey!" the supervisor shouted. "Good to see you finally made it!"
"Yeah," the lead supply truck driver sheepishly replied. "Sorry we were a little late. Got hung up, you know?"
"Hey, I don't care. It's Jacobson who you'll have to talk to."
"Yeah...I guess you're right."
"Well, anyways, we're ready to take it from here."
"Alright, then. I'll see you around."
"Yeah, see you." The drivers started to walk away. A pair of security guards followed them, clearly a precautionary measure. The supervisor began to direct workers, who then began to unload the trucks...
When Barry turned around, he noticed it was just a rabit, he thought it was a person that decided to take a look. He then heard voices in the distance. he walked towards them, keeping as silently as possible and keeping himself to the shadows. When he got to where they where, he sat back, on a tree, and listened to them talking, it must've been the middle of the conversation, but he heard:
Spotted a small group of trucks...we think it's the delivery. Just getting routine confirmation.
Perimeter Defense to Security HQ, we have confirmation. This is the supply truck convoy.
Barry assumed that there was a military base around and decided to follow the trucks, when they stopped and he saw the flashlight being turned on and off, he quickly wrote down the sequences and secodns they where in. he then saw the ground shake and move. He saw the trucks disappear beneath the ground.
Damn.....i should get in there, but how....
Barry waited outside for about 4 hours before the ground shook agian and the trucks came out, he decided to follow them a distance and get on one. He did, 15 minutes later, they where on the highway
Good, now take me to where u get more supplies and then, guess who gets knocked out thought barry to himself
--------------
About 45 minutes away, in a big building sat John Le'son, sitting at his desk...
"Hey John, i'm gonna go out and get something to eat, hold all my calls for me would ya" said Dr. Hendrixian with a hungary look in his eyes
"Sure thing boss" said John thinking this is a perfect oppuntinunity (sp? lol)
After the doctor walked down the hall and made the left, John got out of his seat and went for the door, he turned the knob DAMN, locked.....um...o wait he gave me a key John went into his desk and found the key, he opened the door. The office inside was of mediumn size. Windows directly in front, on either side a wall, on the left a bookcase and a plant and on the left a small bar with a picture and next to him to his left a couch. Directly in the middle of the room a wooden desk with a computer on it. He sat in the chair and moved the mouse Drat, a password...um....lets try his wife.......ACESS DENIED....damn his son?........ACCESS DENIED....hrmm*looks at picture of family* his dog maybe....bulldozer.....ACCESS GRANTED....ok i'm in
As john went thru the files, he noticed that the good'ole doctor remotely runs several reserach facilities, but one caught his eye. Gurian's goverment was trying to make a super soldier. He read on and discovered that they where tryign to make them stronger, faster, and can go longer without needing food or drink....but there were side effects. Short life (and i mean short), heart attacks or complete loss of bodily function....hrmmm lets see....there was one case of a rebellion.....16 guards killed before they cut power and sent in Gurians Secret Marine forces, all subjects.....elminated hrmm, that can't be good, i should just then, the door began to open, he quickly hit ctrl+l and got under the desk.....
Dr. Hendrixian's Office
Location: Dapper
Dr. Hendrixian entered his office. He began to move toward his desk. John began to sweat. It would be very bad to be found here, especially considering all of the sensitive information. Dr. Hendrixian was nearing. Eureka! John pulled out his cell phone and dialed Dr. Hendrixian's number. The phone outside the office began to ring.
"John's gone for now, I suppose. I had better answer it," Dr. Hendrixian said to himself. He turned around and began to walk out of his office. John quickly got up and rushed behind the open door of Dr. Hendrixian's office.
"Hello?" Dr. Hendrixian said in the other room. "Hello?" John waited. "I'm hanging up now!" Dr. Hendrixian came marching back into his office, clearly irritated. When he entered, John followed from behind him.
"Hello Doctor," John said, startling Dr. Hendrixian. He turned around and examined John a moment. "Do you need anything, Doctor?"
"Why...umm...no John...I'll just be doing some work now..."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, yes, I'm sure. I've got some work to be doing anyway."
"Alright."
John walked out of Dr. Hendrixian's office, happy to be alive. Dr. Hendrixian sat at his computer, logged in, and began to get to work.

Gurian Delta Labs Research Facility
Location: Top Secret
Three men filed into the test chamber, one by one. Their expressions showed the utmost bravery. They were wearing any number of monitoring devices. The test chamber itself seemed rather messy. Various weights were placed haphazardly and several track courses were set up. Cameras surveyed every corner, and there were a pair of automated ceiling turrets. All around, too high to be touched though, was reinforced glass in order to allow scientists to view the test. Various nurses and doctors roamed around, setting up different bits of equipment and writing down numbers. A single scientist, Dr. Manning, was looking through an upper control room. He held a microphone in his hand. Behind him were the three members of his team, working and callibrating various instruments.
"Gentlemen," his voice boomed over the intercom. "Are you absolutely sure you wish to proceed with this experiment? There is a chance this may be fatal."
The three men silently nodded. They had volunteered to take part in these experiments, but it still was not a happy occassion. They could easily die. However, their risk was not compensated to some degree. These men were being paid millions of credits, credits which would go to their families if they died. If they survived, they could retire earlier and live in comfort for the rest of their lives. To these men, it was worth it.
Dr. Manning was ready to begin the experiment. Currently they were testing various mutations. These men had taken shots weeks earlier which would serve to highlight several genes. Dr. Manning was hoping that by allowing these genetic modifications to spread and by exposing the men to moderate levels of radiation, desired genetic changes would be made.
"Beginning the experiment," Dr. Manning said. "Increasing radiation levels to 10% of projected levels. Please tell us what you feel for study and for us to help keep you alive."
Dr. Manning looked at the men in the test chamber below. None of them would probably live, but a step would be made in the right direction. Dr. Manning always felt sorry for the test subjects, but he always reminded himself that it was for the greater good. And, of course, these men had volunteered to become test subjects. No one had forced them, and they knew the risks perfectly well.
Dr. Manning looked at his data. The men's vital signs seemed stable and the radiation seemed to be taking little effect on them. As expected.
"Increasing to 25% of projected levels."
The men seemed normal, little was happening.
"Increasing to 50% of projected levels."
Now something was beginning to happen.
"Dr. Manning," one of the men said. "I'm not feeling too well...got nausea..."
"Yeah," another chimed in. "Me too."
"We informed you about this, gentlemen," Dr. Manning replied. "A little nausea is expected. Don't worry, it isn't anything serious."
Dr. Manning examined the results he was getting. There was very slight change, but not nearly enough. But this was only 50% of the radiation level he had thought would be necessary for the change.
"Increasing to 60% of projected levels."
One of the men vomited. All of them clutched their stomaches.
"Increasing to 75% of projected levels."
The same man who vomited crumbled to the ground.
"We're losing him!" shouted one of Dr. Manning's team members.
"DAMN!" shouted Dr. Manning. "How much genetic change are we reading?"
"Slight," the man responded. "There's been some positive change, but not the projected levels."
"We can't let this man die...initiate decontamination protocols!"
"Immediately, Dr. Manning."
Dr. Manning grabbed the microphone.
"We are lowering radiation levels and running decontamination procedures! A medical team will be in to help you shortly!"
"Thank you Doctor..." one of the two remaining men began to respond.
The other man grabbed him and began to spin him.
"...heeeeeelp meeeeee dooooooooc-toooooooor!!!"
The other man let go of him and sent him flying. He hit a wall and came crashing down, bloodied.
"My god," Dr. Manning responded. "That is not the strength a normal man would have! The physical modification has been a success...now we need to deal with neurological problems."
Dr. Mannings looked at one of his teammembers.
"You!" he shouted. "Flood the test chamber with a knock-out agent and transfer that aggressive man to the medical sector in the high security area. I want to do some research on him...he could yield some clues..."
Dr. Manning continued to work. The experiment hadn't been a failure by any means. After all, it had advanced them closer to their goals. But more notably, one of the aggressive specimens was going to be found ALIVE. Dr. Manning was excited: This was the major obstacle in this research. Exposure to high levels of radiation seemed to make subjects more aggressive...too aggressive. A super soldier is no good if he can't follow commands.
Barry was still hiding on the supply truck that he got on before they left the area of the secret base.......oh man, its been three hours when will they...
Just then, he heard someone shout "Ok, load up the new load into these supply trucks so that they can make the last run for the day." Just then the door flew open, barry lept up and held onto the cieling of the truck...While he did this, he watched the man that opened the door...it was the driver. Barry waited till the supplies was all put in, by that time he found out the driver's name, it was jason, he then heard
"Hey Jas, where gonna get some coffee, you want some?" "Naw, i'm gonna stay here and finish unloading"
Barry thought that this is a perfect moment to attack him, change into his cloths and drive off when the others came back...so he killed Jason and took his cloths and hid the body nearby.
When the Truckers came back they asked where Jason was, barry simply answered "He wasn't feeling good and asked me to fill in" The others said okay, got into their trucks and drove off, with barry the 2nd truck in the line.
---------
John had waited all day and this was is second chance:
"Okay, i see your still busy, could you lock up my office for me, i've gotta go home" said the good doctor
"sure thing doc, see ya in the morning." said John
After the Doctor left the fllor, and John made sure he left, he went back to the office and began to download the info he got before onto disk. Just then, he heard a knock at the door, he had the lights off so maybe the person would leave, but there was another knock, John didn't know what to do....
Supply Convoy, Approaching Gurian Delta Labs Research Facility
Location: Classified
Barry's convoy came to the same forest. This time, the truck driver was a bit more attentive and found the path more quickly. Billy glanced around uneasily. He was fully aware that camoflagued men were probably watching him, ready to open fire at a moment's notice. Unfortunately for him, they were hidden in the forest.
The convoy began to enter the forest. Barry was nervous. Sweat beads meandered down his face and dripped off one by one. The convoy stopped. Barry waited, and saw the door open. The lead truck drove down, and Barry followed. He looked around at all of the cameras and automated turrets. Heavy duty stuff... Barry was worried, but so far nothing was going wrong.
Suddenly a red scanner was activated. Barry saw it slowly move up toward him. Dear lord...please don't let them detect me...please don't let them detect me... The scanner passed Barry.
"WARNING: Unauthorized person located. Initiating lockdown procedures in the entry area."
There were several large thuds of metal doors closing. Barry looked around. The room seemed sealed...except for several vents. Barry jumped out of the truck and began to ran for the vent. Cameras and turtrets followed him, but the turrets did not shoot. Barry continued running for the nearest floor vent at full speed, worried the turrets would soon open fire. He got there, knelt down, and began to pull on the grille.
Open...open...open!
Suddenly, there was a sound of compressed gas being released. Barry started to feel a little light-headed. He picked himself up and began to stumble away in a druken stagger. Everything was going black. Finally, he simply collapsed.
* * *
"Hello?" Barry heard. "You, wake up." Barry began to open his eyes. A blurry figure stood above him. He wore a suit...Barry could barely make it out as being a military one.
"You're up," the man said. "Good."
"Ww...ww...what happened?" Barry responded.
"You tried to sneak into a top secret facility. We caught you."
Barry's vision had improved by now. He could tell the man was at the rank of General. Probably the base commander.
"Right...right..."
Barry tried to move. He was stopped by some mysterious force.
"We've restrained you, in case you didn't notice. Don't try...those things are damn strong. Now then, what's your name?"
"Barry...Barry Smatel."
"Good. Now who are you working for?"
Barry was silent.
"Answer me!"
Barry said nothing. This seemed to anger the General to no end.
"YOU ARE GOING TO ANSWER ME RIGHT NOW, SON! WHO ARE YOU WORKING FOR!!!???"
The General was shaking, fuming with anger. He punctuated his last statement by pounding his fist on a nearly table.
"Alright, don't talk. We'll get it out of you, don't worry."
The General then turned to a nearby doctor, of whom barely had failed to take notice.
"Doc, sedate this man."
Barry attempted to struggle, but it was useless. The doctor quickly injected Barry. His vision began to fade and go black...
The door to Dr. Hendrixian's office had another loud thud aginst it and a voice said "Dr. Hendrixian, if you are in there please, its past office hours, and i wanted to know if you needed an escort"
John didn't know what to do....he saw it would be another minute till the download was complete, he got up as quickly as possible and locked the door before the guard could try to opne it
"Dr. Hendrixian are you okay?"
John thought this would buy him atleast an extra minute for the download to complete
"Okay, well doctor if your not in there, then i'll just open up your door"
The download was completed he quickly logged out and threw some papers on the floor. When the guard walked in he looked suprised
"Who are you and where is Dr. Hendrixian" Said the guard
"OH, i'm his secretary Jogn Le'son, the good doctor asked me to clean up his office abit, i'm almost done" said John
"well, its closing time, just leave it, the janitors will clean it up" said the Gurad
"Okay sir..." said john
As John was being escorted out, he thought to himself Well, thank God I have the information, i don't have to come back tomorrow The Guard brought John to his car and made sure he drove off.
