Lazarus Oil, a subsidiary of Venom Corporation, announced the completion of the first thermal depolymerization plant in the Empire of ITD. The new plant promises cleaner, cheaper oil and a method of removing waste products and garbage. ITD will also commence the use of corpses as a biomass source for the process, which will get rid of costly burials and cremations.

"Basically, if you were to take a 175 pound man and put him though the machine, you would get 38 pounds of oil, 7 pounds of gas, 7 pounds of minerals and 123 pounds of sterile water. All of these are useful, none of them would be put to waste. In death, people can give back to their homeland." said Dr Direv of the Venom Corporation Research Institute.

The plant began operation earlier today and has already began producing oil.

ooc: Just some facts and figures for future reference.

The goal of each thermal depolymerization machine is to produce 600 barrels of oil per day.

The average barrel of oil weighs 7.5 pounds per gallon, or 315 pounds per 42 gallon barrel.

600 barrels of 315 pounds totals 189000 pounds of oil per day.

An average 175 corpse will produce 38 pounds of oil when put through the machine.

189000 / 38 = roughly 4973.684 bodies.

So about 5000 bodies will be placed through one machine daily.

This is assuming that only human corpses will be used, but this is not always true (just ideal due to the high carbon composition). Just about any carbon containing material can be used, including toxic waste.

Dear Sir,
Are you willing to take corpeses? I'm plaining on making several million very soon, and a free cleanup crew would be nice.

Depends on the nature of the corpses. ITD does not generally promote genocide. If they are casualties of war, maybe.

These will be war casualties and not Genocide, we have not intentions of commiting such a horrendus action. A large group from another country has taken over one of our major parks and is stripping it of all resources, including many endangered spieces. So far diplomacy has failed, and the invaders have been given 24 hours to leave or be attacked.

In that case, we are willing to buy them under the fee we have used with other nations: 150 dollars per corpse, granted the corpse is at least 75% intact.

150$ x 7000000 = $1,050,000,000

We are also providing transportation.

ooc: another note for reference. This rate doesnt allow for a large profit margin at first glance. We don't use foreign corpses exclusively. The majority of the corpses used are local. We also use garbage and industrial waste in our machines. Human corpses just make a good base for the process.

Would you consider selling the technology? Although we are but a small nation, we have a style mine, and we could imbue clothing etc. with style. How much would it cost to purchase one of these plants?

OOC: The style mine produces a material which makes everything it is "imbued" with more stylish. If not imbued, the "style" becomes useless within hours.

We are not prepared to sell this technology.
