Hauptmann Sky Kyrinos of the slaver ship Middle Passage watched as the stars winked back into existence. His ship, and the three others of the same class in his convoy, had just exited the Slipstream.
"Alta, report."
The translucent, pinkish-blue image of a young woman appeared on small pedastal.
"We have just entered system SX-582. One habitable planet, S-class. We have our target species."
The picture of a small, simian-like race appeared in place of the young woman.
"Humanoid, approximately .78 meters tall. Very strong, nearly 1.5 times that of humanity. Methane breathers. Approximately at the bronze age. No weaponry as we know it."
"A cakewalk then. Alright, signal the ships. Arc formation, teleportation grids to maximum."

The trio of four-kilometer cubes began moving into high orbit.

Yayap frollicked in the green mud with his mate, Aryap. Life was good. The air was perfect and the food nipples plentiful. Suddenly, Aryap was enveloped in red light and she vanished. Several others also vanished around Yayap. He felt his own molecules stretching and pulling apart, but did not have the cognitive skills or knowledge to understand what was happening. Before he could figure it out, he was in a stasis pod - and just one of millions.

"Captain, approximately three million life forms have been successfully rounded up. Our hold is at its maximum, as is the rest of the fleets'."
"Very good, that was fast. Signal the Heirophant. She can move in now."

As the three cubes accelerated out of the systems, a fourth ship entered. This one was undescribable, but incredibly massive. Points of blue light focused at its center, and a laser-thin beam of light shot out. Within three standard days, all the matter on Yayap's world had been absorbed into the World Devourer. All the simians that had escaped capture were absorbed as well to be converted into more useful materials. The rest of Yayap's species were carried back to an undisclosed world to be put to work.

The slavers had struck again.

A small DT-Freighter, 30 meters long and 20 meters wide, little looking like an ant, with no legs. The captain of the ship looked his two co-pilots as a red light started to flash on the roof of the cockpit. "What is it!" he shouted to the second on, looking at the radar. "I don't know, sire. The radar systems have spotted ships, but I have no signal on the rad-" the human female said and then stopped and looked at the screen, shocked. "Sire! Take a look at this" she continued and the captain walked to her. He looked at a fleet of triangular ships. "Slavers..." he muttered and sat down on his seat. "Inform Proxima Tepe from this, fast. Try to follow them, unseen" he started giving orders and then grabbed the intercom. "This is the captain. Arm any turrets we have" he said and then closed the line and prepared for taking control of the ship from the auto-pilot.

A small base on the moon of the planet Proxima Tepe got a message from the Black ant(The frighter) and allmost immediatly sent out 2 small cruisers, with maybe 30 fighters inside their hangars. The ships went off, and started speeding untill they got to full speed. They jumped to hyperspeed. It would take half a day before getting to the freighters current location.

The small freighter went off, and followed the large ships from a small distance

One of the massive cubes slowed.
"Captain, we have a small craft following us. Looks like they're trying not to be seen."
"Damnit, our energy reserves are spent making methane for those damn simians! What's the nearest allied craft?"
"FSS Scimitar - Endeavor class. If I signal now, it'll take twenty seconds."
"Do it."

Twenty seconds later, the prow of a kilometer-long destroyer broke through into real space. It seemed like an ancient sailing ship - one of mid-twenty-first century terra - save for its size. It had three giant turrets atop its superstructure, each one packing a pair of triple-shot magnetic accelerator cannons. It swooped down upon the DT freightor with uncanny ease. It had one mission - destroy the freightor before it could be identified. The linear accelerator coils on the MACs charged and then discharged. Twenty-seven ferrous slugs - each one weighing nearly one hundred tons - rained down upon the tiny freightor. They were followed by a pair of 6 gigaton fusion torpedoes, designed to eradicate the evidence.

The freighters signal disappeared from the cruiser's sight. "Sire, the freighter has propably been seen and destroyed" one of the officers said and the captain looked out of the window. "Full speed! How much time 'till we get there?" he shouted and one officer turned. "Two minutes with full speed, sire" the officer answered and the cruisers jumped to full speed. Only a couple of minutes, they arrived to see the freighter's turret float into their shielding and be destroyed. "Send out fighter patrols! We must get these slavers!" the captain shouted and fighters left the hangars. Only shortly after, one of the patrolling fighters got the ships to his radar. He informed the cruisers that speeded towards the fighter patrol.

A few seconds later, the cruisers were surrounded with fighters, returning to refuel. The second cruiser shot two long range proton torpedoes towards the escaping slavers. The cruisers started to speed again towards the position of the slavers.

The first torpedo merely glanced off the massive cube's shielding. The second torpedo hit home, impacting on a thick collapsium-crystalline plate. It caused only minor damage.

~"Vessel Middle Passage to destroyer Scimitar. We are taking enemy fire. Suggest immediate communications jamming and neutralization."~
~"Confirmed, Middle Passage. Moving to engage. Scimitar out."~

The three cubes and the immense World Devourer entered the Slipstream, headed for parts unknown. The destroyer began projecting an immense FTLi field, cancelling out any chance for long-range communications or escape made by the DT cruisers. The Scimitar turned its turrets to the approaching cruisers, setting its sights on the closest one. A full volley of twenty-seven shells and four torpedoes were fired.
