CPRD hastily opens contract for naval strike-fighter, perferes Soviet/Chinese payload
It came as a considerable pain to comrade Secretary Director Hotan, but the PAAF had no fixed-wing aircraft immediately suitable for carrier-born operation, and for once the Chinese were not instantly in a position to help. Dra-pol hadn't one engineer experienced in this field, and as such was forced to look abroad.
The Unified People's Armed Forces required an effective carrier-based fixed-wing jet aircraft capable of air to air and air to surface combat, in quantity not more than double figures, and at a price affordable to the famine-stricken republic, which presently carried native, Soviet, and Chinese-origin airborne munitions, which it should like to find accepted by any new aircraft.
Mainland China

The People's Republic of Mainland China would be willing to sell a large number of the soviet designed Su-33. The Su-33 or Su-27K is the navalized version of the Su-27 Flanker.

These fine aircraft are usually available for export at around 30 million (USD) a piece, however we can arrange for a easier payment package if you buy in bulk.
ooc: This is a recently resurrected nation, so do not judge me by creation date and post count.
Tyrandis
28-08-2004, 08:39
Tyrandis has several carrier-capable aircraft armed w/ Eastern Bloc payloads, but we would like to know what type of carrier they will be operating from.
Because, a Kiev-class can't handle a modified F-35. Neither can a Baku
(I don't suppose that you've heard of a Oryonggeo... perhaps data confirming a 292m flight deck length will be of use, then. Of course, the Su-27 is put under serious consideration.)

The F-96 Phasmatis(Ghost in Latin) was designed with the F-22 in mind, but on a much better scale. It is a to be a stealth multirole,
made from and layered by Composite RAM and Carbine-Fibire. It's wings have a rhomboidal planform wing with 42-degree
sweepback on leading edge, and 17-degree forward sweep on the trailing edge. The leading edge is slatted, while on the trailing
edge there are ailerons outboard and flaprons inboard. The angles are all-moving tailerons are matched to those of the wign, which
reduces RCS, while the large twin fins and rudders are outward-canted, also having airbrake function. Engine inlets are a trapazoid
shape, made to match the wing. The exhaust nozzles are two-dimensional convertgent-divergent design and incorporate pitch-only
vectoring to improve field performance in taking off and landing, and for increasing the pitch/turn rate in aerial combat. All
armament is kept externally, so it will not compromise it's stealth characteristics. The F-96 Phasmatis could track 80 separate targets, rate the
threat posed by each, and give the pilot the information through her state of the art HUD Display in the Pilot's Goggles/Visors.
Due to me sizing down my Multirole Fighter force, and starting to rely on bombers more, I will drop the price to 90 million a unit for you. This may be too much for you - but whatever. :P
(Belated and uncertain bump- the Su-27K may be accepted (the CPRD can't possibly operate something that looks like an F14, and probably isn't prepared to shell out near a hundred million dollars per aircraft for this particular project), but I'm not sure if Mainland China is still active...)
We could provide you with any of the following aircraft:
Su-24K “Fencer”
Su-25K “Frogfoot”
Su-27K "Flanker"
Su-33K "Flanker-D"
Su-34K "Platypus"
Su-35K "Super Flanker"
Su-37K "Terminator"
Yak-141 "Freestyle"
The Unified People's Navy has tendered orders for nine (9) Su-34K, seventeen (17) Su-35K, and one (1) Yak-141, hoping to have the Halladi government deliver them as quickly and quietly as possible. The deal may yet fail should prices be exceptionally high, as the CPRD has little capital, relying generally on public works for most of its economic activity, but Da'Khiem is hopeful none the less.
We would be willing to sell these units for $712,800,000. These could be shipped by 6 NS months, and a yearly payment plan could be established if your nation requires it.
The Central Directorature has accepted the offer from Hallad, and expressed a desire to pay over the next eighteen months, based on pre-planned operational costs and budgets.
Excellent. Shipping will begin imediatly.
Mainland China
01-09-2004, 06:31
Mainland China was hoping to do business with the CPRD, perhaps it is not too late?
OOC: Well, there's always the long-term possibility of trade and what not. Dra-pol is North Korea (and about half of the south, since the last war), and currently using a none-player-controlled PR China as its neighbour. I don't know anything about your nation, as yet, but I'm always on the look-out for a decent RPer to play a friendly, vaguely socialist China with which we can continue to interact. Perhaps we shall see.
