The deafening blare of helicopter propellers chopping through the air nearly drowned out everyone's voices as they all murmured among themselves over the excitement of the completion of the new Irondinese military base in Roach-Busters. Hundreds of battle-hardened, tough-as-nails, machine gun-toting soldiers, tall, burly, rugged, and fearless, enveloped the new base. Thick fumes of dust shot up and suffused the helicopter in a heavy cloud as it landed. When the dust faded President J.L., a Roach-Busterian military veteran, stepped out, waving to the crowd of Roach-Busterian and Irondinese soldiers. He was wearing his old uniform. "Good day," he said, smiling affably.
Each of the soldiers rendered a sharp salute to J.L. as he approached them.
"Sir, let me say, it is an honor to be here in Roach-Busters," one of top Irondin generals said, shaking J.L.'s hand. "This is not just about the building of a new base, but about the expansion of the epic friendship between our two great nations, a friendship forged long ago, a friendship that will stand the test of time."
"Yes, yes," J.L. said, grinning. "I am delighted that this event will help strengthen our close ties with Irondin even further."
A soldier handed J.L. a giant pair of golden scissors. "Sir? The honors are yours."
"Thank you." J.L. took the scissors and walked over to the giant red ribbon that was wrapped around the base. Unbeknownst to him, his following action would have unexpected and catastrophic results.
The split second he snipped the ribbon in two a massive explosion reduced much of the base to rubble, incinerated dozens of RB and Irondin soldiers in searing flames, shook the earth tumultuously, filled the air with enormous clouds of smoke, and sent debris flying everywhere. The force of the impact caused J.L. to lose his balance and stumble to the ground. His ears ached excruciatingly. The sound had been so deafening it nearly shattered his eardrums. He looked around, gazing in awe at the impact. Bloody, scorched bodies and severed limbs were scattered everywhere. He stood, wincing in pain. Amid the curses of confusion, anger, and fear, amid the panic and screaming, amid the pandemonium, he searched for the culprit. Amid the smoldering ruins, he found only one thing: a note written in blood. It read: Death to Irondin and Roach-Busters. May the flames of hell consume your nations along with all others. Soon, your lives, your very souls, will be within the grasp of the black hand of death...

"My friends, today our nation was unexpectedly and mercilessly attacked by an unknown assailant. In a blatant act of terrorism that clearly exhibits the assailant's disdain for human life, they bombed and sabotaged our ally Irondin's military base, killing dozens of valiant men where they stood and maiming hundreds more. As of now, we are still investigating who the culprit may be, but I called you all here to announce the measures I plan to take in response to this tragedy:

Our military is now on full alert and National Guard units have been summoned to each foreign military base in our nation.

I have just telegrammed the government of Irondin requesting an emergency meeting to discuss what actions should be taken in confronting this crisis together.

I shall consult with all of our allies and seek their aid in bringing this crisis to an end as swiftly as possible and bringing the culprits to justice.

Finally, I seek a declaration of war, which I shall sign upon your approval, and the immediate deployment of our military forces to the nation responsible. That is all. Thank you."

For two hours, Parliament debated, argued, and discussed J.L.'s proposition. Two hours later, they unanimously voted in favor of J.L.'s decision and war was declared.

As lisa finishes her call, Mr. Felton gets a little smirk on his face. As he sits and ponders he screams

"We just got a call from Irondin. They found evidence that strongly implies Raven Corps may have been involved in the attack."

Lindsey raised his hand, motioning for J.L. to calm down and let him speak. "Nothing's been proven yet, Mr. President. It's all speculation. What would you like us to do?"

"Investigate this matter further," J.L. said. "If it's a false alarm, we'll simply forget about it and search for the real culprit. If they are responsible-" He glanced at a fly buzzing around in the air. It landed on the wall, only to be smashed by J.L.'s clenched fist. "-we'll crush them like bugs!"

In the distance, he spotted scores of massive, island-sized battleships sailing across the sea, and hundreds of jets blazing across the sky. He looked through his binoculars and saw the flag of Holy Paradise waving on the ships. He radioed headquarters for further information. Then, he radioed the HP forces and gave the coordinates and permission to land. Then, he pocketed his radio and waited.

On the H.M.S. Paradiso, Gen. Geofer recieved permission to land. The forces sailed to the closest shore and the troops began marching onto the beach by the thousands. Gen. Geofer waded through the water and said,"So it begins," as he stepped onto shore.

Bristling with rage, J.L. smashed his fist onto his wooden desk. His face was dark purple and the veins in his forehead bulged profusely. His eyes looked ready to pop out. He was hissing through gritted teeth, panting and gasping rapidly, his shoulders were heaving, and he repeatedly clenched his hands into tight fists, relaxed them, clenched, relaxed, and clenched them again. He was speechless with incredulity, awe, and raw anger. A few moments later, however, he regained his composure, his heart returned to a semblance of its normal beat, and he sat down, calmly collecting himself.
He sat there in silence for almost ten minutes.
"J.L.?" Churchill asked, his voice freighted with benevolent concern.
J.L.'s eyes glittered with malice as he contemplated the utter destruction of Raven corps. "This is war," he said through gritted teeth.

President John was lying on his bed when he recieved another report from RB. It was Raven Corps who had attacked RB. President John called Congress and told them to vote on if they should declare war on RC or not. The vote came in: 257 to 0. War has been declared on RC.

The 18 million soldiers set up camp along the shore on which they landed. Gen. Geofer ordered 10 F-15Es to go on a recon mission in RC. So 10 Strike Eagles flew into the sky towards Raven Corps.

The F-15Es got closer and closer to the country. They were only 10 miles away when they met AA gunfire. "Evasive manuevers, everyone!" exclaimed the squad commander. "I think we should take out those.....AGHHH!" said one pilot as his F-15E was hit by AA fire and dove into the sea. "Shit! Scramble!" yelled the squad commander. The 9 jets turned and flew back to base.

An attack on our closest neighbour, Irondin! ANd we never saw it coming!

The Commander of the attack was about the get on to the lead ship but then he was knocked out by Adie in a full BIOmech suit. As she was getting on she was atacked by a man with a baseball bat she turns areound and finds Churchman

the notquiteaplace fleet began moving through the water for its new objective, the transports spread between the other ships. A few fighters circled overhead, changing over and keeping watch while in the sky a few sattelites moved to keep track of the surrounding area.

The first proper war for the people, in the name of their allies. It was a tense moment.

And all of our military assest are located throughout the world. we are located in 10 diffrent nations( forgot most of there names.) so attacking us is very difficult.

At a communications tent in one of the military camps, odd messages were received. The communications experts studied it carefully. One suddenly exclaimed, "RC has accessed the computer system in the captured genetic lab nearby! We got to destroy it! They can use it to create creatures of great evil! We have to program a virus into it. But to do that someone has to go in there!" said the expert. Gen. Geofer heard the yell and rushed over. The expert explained the situation. Gen. Geofer called up a number on his untraceable phone. "Yes?" said a low voice, "Right away." Gen. Geofer hung up the phone.
Later a small plane landed at the base. Out stepped the Programmer, a secret agent who excelled at computer programming, biology, and firearm combat. The Programmer was briefed on his mission and given a floppy. He then entered a helicopter and the helicopter took off towards the captured base.

On noticing soemmunusual activity in the sewers the notquiteaplace forces had to react.

The plan was simple. Block every exit to the sewer, then as it was a pretty big beast, send a few anti infantry tnaks into the sewers and try to flush it out. Into several unts of tanks.

Id like to add AI tanks use a rapid fire 50mm cannon with a mix of aremour piecring incendary and explosivve shells designed to take all types of infantry and to cause chaos and fear among them.

OOC: TBH mim expecting a few missing vehicles or lost men, but I reckon I just need to injure it and it will run out into my main forces and face some 125mm cannon instead...

IC: notquiteaplace forces began moving to cover the sewers, with most of the forces spreading out and watching for enemy movement.

The Programmer recieved an intelligence report right after he landed at the captured lab. He didn't care what RC said. He was only here to plant a virus in the computer to stop the flow of mutants. He entered the lab.

As the Programmer entered the building he became suddenly chilled to the bone. The dark room seemed like the entrance to Hell: So seemingly innocent, yet what was behind it was demonic forces galore. He opened the door. The hallway was pitch black. He turned on his night-vision goggles and walked down the hallway. He then saw a room that said: Lab mainframe computer inside. Keep out! He opened the door.

Back at the camps, all of the fighter/bomber jets were getting ready to takeoff. Their mission: Destroy all major communication centers in RC. Thousands of jets took off into the air towards RC. A few hours later, the jets neared one of the country's believed to have a RC installation. "20 minutes to target," said the force's commander over his radio. "Split up into 10 groups."

back at the camps, all 18 million soldiers were ordered to get into the landing boats and head to what HP intel believed was the RC's H.Q. island. They would be aided by the 65 battleships and all the destroyers sent to RB.

" SIR, multipule enemy fighter/bombers on route to comms installation 1.4 . i cant determine what they are, but they are imbound. 15 mins sir." said a radar tech

"Where was the last place we saw him?" asked zion

" he was in a taxi in R-B " replied the computer tech.

At the very least NQP should actually land the troops and start invading. We are headign for this installation and using a naval force (one attack fleet, which is a large fleet of about 30 capital ships and a lot of more smaller destroyers and the like) and one landing fleet (a lot smaller, for supporting landings) and some transports to attack land the mainland.

(OOC: I havent got the exact stats at my finger tips, but i can get them if i NEED them. If you are going to try to intercept my navy as lands and sets up bases on the area this base is located on we assume you dont bother and have fled.)

Please tell me of the resistnace I encounter.

I do have a way of dealing with the enemy we near the coast, but there may not be any??

the larger ships sit firther out while smaller ships sit closer in land, the transports are ferrying troops and construction materials back and forth to the beach via landing craft, unless you are resisting. The carriers have provided a small amountof air cover but have much more ready if any enemy aircraft turn up. They are mainly looking for enemy movement.
