Let it be known that Samtonia has realized that many nations on Nationstates who say they are members of the UN in reality only pay this position of great honor lip-synch.

Therefore, Samtonia will undertake the following:

1. A comprehensive list of all UN resolutions which have passed to this date and the dates they were implemented.

2. A brief summarization of how said resolutions affect nations in the UN.

3. Updates to the list as new resolutions are passed and brought into effect.

Therefore, be it resolved that this service to nations to allow them to see exactly what policies they are forced to follow decide before joining the UN or continuing to stay a member of the UN shall be implemented immediately by the nation of Samtonia.

Passed by a vote of 7 to 5, with one Councilmember abstaining this twenty-seventh of August, in the Year of our Lord 2004.

Resolution 1: Fight the Axis of Evil

Summary: Requires increase in Military Budgets for all member nations.

Resolution 2: Scientific Freedom
Implemented: Thu Dec 26 2002
Summary: Guarantees right for peaceable research of their own accord by scientists in all member nations.

Resolution 3: Education For All
Implemented: Wed Jan 8 2003
Summary: Guarantees free education to all children under the age of 16 in every member nation.

Resolution 4: UN taxation ban
Implemented: Mon Jan 13 2003
Summary: The UN is never allowed to collect taxes directly from citizens of any nation.
