...Due to recent tensions between Generian Imperial Provincial governors in Azerbaijan, and Azeri government officials, Emperor Alexei has authorized the deployment of 300,000 Imperial soldiers to the autonomous protectorate. It is rumored that three divisions of Imperial Praetorians will be among the deployed. What will become of the autonomous Azeri government is unknown as of yet...

The C-117 jets touched down at the Generian controlled Baku International airport, specially cleared for the purpose of recieving the Imperial soldiers. Armored units were being unloaded from cargo trains coming into the airport. Overhead, GIF-17s ran patrols, cutting the air with their deafening roars.

General Vai Isadore, recently redeployed from Shoobooshaba, stepped from an Mi-24 helicopter, surveying the airport that had become a military command center. He was met by a Generian officer, who saluted smartly.

"Captain."

"General Isadore, I hope you had a pleasant trip?"

"No, I did not. Get to the point."

If the Captain had been put off by the statement, he did not show it.

"Our soldiers are assembling. By tomorrow, we should be at full strength."

"Good. I want you to send what we have to the outer reaches of the protectorate. We must bolster our presence before these Azeris have time to object."

He looked out at the rather run down city.

"God damn backwaters. Why do I always get these jobs..."

Overhead, Mi-24s raced off to other cities, to bolster Imperial forces elsewhere in the protectorate, as armored columns began to move into Baku.

"Sir! We have reports that Generic Empire is engaging somebody again." a guard entered the bedroom of Emperor Mathew Kellerman.

"Exellent! We missed pratically every battle that was fought by fellow CAD members, but no more. Send out a message to Emperor Alexei telling him we are deploying troops to his region. Have all the right documents ready to ensure our troops will be allowed to land in Generian territorry."

"Yes sir."

"Sir! We have reports that Generic Empire is engaging somebody again." a guard entered the bedroom of Emperor Mathew Kellerman.

Since you are a member of the Balkan League we would have helped but we are having problems with Albanian and FYROM protestors.

The phalanx of Imperial Praetorians marched down the street towards a large white building that had become the seat of Azeri government during the time as a protectorate. Captain Andro Jaroslav marched at the head of the group, holding a cigarette in one hand, and an AKM in the other. The column reached the building's wrought iron gate. The young Azeri guard stood up, saluting awkwardly, his eyes full of fear.

"Open it."

The man walked backwards into the gatehouse, and funmbled with the controls until the gate swung open. The Praetorians marched inward, reaching the steps of the building. Captain Jaroslav walked to the door, and kicked it open. Inside two guards fell over themselves to get out of his way. The Praetorians followed the Captain up an ornate staircase, towards a large office. Jaroslav thrust open the doors, catching a startled Azeri official at his desk.

"What is this!?"

"President Bahadori, you are under arrest for high treason, by order of Emperor Alexei."

Two of the soldiers marched forward, seizing the aging man. The Praetorians walked out of the office, dragging the President with them. Outside, they boarded a truck, bound for the International airport that served as Baku's military base.

Official Imperial Statement

As the autonomous government policy in Azerbaijan is clearly not working as expected, the Empire has decided that it is necessary to assume control over the province, incorporating it into the Empire. Imperial provincial governor Ivan Soyanovich has been granted supreme power over provincial affairs in the province, subordinate only to Chancellor Alexeevich and Emperor Alexei. Generia expects the transition of government, and the assumption of power to go smoothly, and greatly benefit Generian Azeri citizens.
