I wouldnt attack at first. first id try diplomacy to try to stop you then is that didnt work i'd most likely attack you.

Shoobooshaaba, the lionk you posted is interesting. Generic empire is on of my allies and unless you seek the TBD permission i will not consider any deal with you. Any assault on Generia is an assault on me and i will react accordingly.

Slavery is most useful for pesky convicts, ethnic and religious minorities, as well as 'POW's captured in raids against other nations.

It's more for psychological effect than an actual production benefit though.
