At this time was Ireland under British control? I really want to be the Celts if they were still roaming hordes in Ireland.

I shall begin my RP now, as to avoid waiting.
King Frederick sighed. His Kingdom was doing well, compared to many others, he was rich, powerful, and his people were treated well. Yet, he wanted something....more. Every time he thought of conquering another land, his heart leapt. Every time he thought of ruling the world, his heart nearly gave out with excitement. A few days later, he had reached his decision. England was the one of the most powerful and influental of the world powers, next to him and Germany. (remember, England didn't become a world power before the Normans captured it, and the Normans were French) He decided to send an emissiary to England to offer an alliance. he decided to do the same to Germany. The Byzantines were a threat, as they had more military power than any of the northern nations. (I'm probably wrong, as I didn't do much on medieval history) Once this alliance was formed, he could carve at the smaller nations at his will. "mmm, yes!!" He cried, as he thought it over. It seemed to be a good plan at the time.

OOC: do the leaders have to be historically accurate? As for the Byzantines having more power than the rest of the countries, that's very true. The Byzantines were the last remaining part of the Roman Empire, mostly because the city of Constantinople was unbreachable until the cannon was invented. The Byzantine military was modeled after the Romans and was extremely effective, but i'm not sure if their military was larger than the others, it was just more organized. Constantinople was also inpregnable by sea because it was defended by the navy, which used the shipbuilding techniques developed by the Romans, and they utilized a weapon that no one else had, Greek Fire. Greek Fire was extremely volatile and was sprayed through hoses onto enemy ships, immediatly setting them aflame. The capital of the Byzantine empire i believe was Byzantium, but im not sure.

OOC No, The EMpire was not the biggest out there. The armed forces where only 125 thousand, and while tat seems big, the only army used for conquest was 25 thousand and the rest where for defence. And by the way Constantinople and The city of Byzantium are the same place, THe city was renamed Constantinople When Emperor Constanitne Decided to split the empire with two capitals. And No, THe leaders do NOT have to be accurate. And the Middle east is a match for europe, and in this time more powerful, at least for the next 50 years.

OOC: i just said they had the most power not the largest military. Since they were the most organized of all the nations, except for maybe teh middle east, they had a huge advantage over the rest. anyway thanks for correcting some of the stuff in my last post.

OOC:I'll be Hungary. Does this have to be accurate as in army numbers, and all? So perphaps we can post about creating a new army, what they're equipped with, and how long it'll take to commission it. Just an idea

No, your numbers do not have to be accruate, but please keep with the times. Eintre armies very rarly went over 80 thousand. And Invading armies usually 10 to twenty. Please be realistic about it.
OOC: do the leaders have to be historically accurate? As for the Byzantines having more power than the rest of the countries, that's very true. The Byzantines were the last remaining part of the Roman Empire, mostly because the city of Constantinople was unbreachable until the cannon was invented.
OOC: Forget the cannon, it'd have been more helpful if people remembered to keep the gates shut, since that's how the Ottomans actually got in...

OK, that means you have wales, scotland and Irland. The rest is Under Saxon control. Now, you may start, but people there are still spots open. I have no time to post at the moment
The Celts were groups of roaming hordes. Some stayed in one place while others wandered over the vast lands of Ireland, Wales, and Scotland. The Saxons, who controlled most of England were on an apathetic basis. Neither cared what the other did unless they interfered with each other, a rare occurance. Leading the Celts was a man named Comhghall, a tribesman once cast out and cursed by the goddess Luna of the moon for falling in love with a girl, Cordelia. That was in the early 500s. But, as legend had it, he sought revenge and got it against the gods, goddesses, and fellow clansmen who cursed him and cast him asside. But he still lived with that curse, the curse of forever life. Legend was big amongst the Celts. Their pagan rituals to the moon goddess, Luna, and her pantheon on gods and goddesses were not forgetten each full moon or even lunar-stellar event.
They were well in tune with the goings-ons around them. The Celts enjoyed their tranquility and favored the status quo, which was the situation at present. Throughout their entire territory, they numbered some 250,000 but of their abilities to fight, a mere 25,000 were available for fighting while another 62,000 were available for defensive purposes. Each tribe had its own little army, many of them independant from the rest. The tribal elders and leaders led their tribes individually.
OOC: How's that?
