Both houses of the Sevarisian parliament have passed legislation that bans the use of internet English. Anyone caught using it will be arrested and be forced to retake an english class.

Can you do the same for American English?

Not really. Sevarisian English actually mixes in some Commonwealth English (such as defence, and it's considered acceptable to spell some -ize words as -ise).

What about the word "colour"?

Note I am English so this spelling is correct for me.

Comment heard in some little watched BBC2 topical news magazine:

Statement from Premier Mannerheim:

"We've only banned Internet English because it encourages bad grammar. (such as- WOOT! I OWNZ JOO! UR 2 SUCKY 4 ME!). People actually started writing that. However, other forms of English are perfectly acceptable. We're just stopping Internet English, because it makes no sense really."

How about shorthand? That's bascially the same except more acceptable because typists use it instead of 14 year olds. It ageism I tell you ageism!!!

American English should be banned throughout the world. Its a ripoff of a language. :D
