OOC: Here I'm going to post my complete military for your inspection. Please tell me if its too much or too little, and if I should use different equipment ect.
please bear in mind that i'm still nooby..ish... cause I havn't been on long...

Population At start of thread- 421 million

Army/Marines- 4 million troops total, 2.5 million is reserve 1.5 million is active duty

100% of both the Cebatian Marines and Army carry the M4

10% of both the Cebatian Marines and Army carry the M60

5% of both the Cebatian Marines and Army carry the M40A1 (sniper rifle)

10% of both the Cebatian Marines and Army carry the M72 LAW

Armored units (tanks and such)

30,000 Abrams M1 Main Battle Tanks

18,000 Strikers

Air Force

800 F-14 Tomcats

250 B-2 Bombers

300 H-3 Seaking helicopters

1,000 Apache helicopters

2,250 BlackBird Defender 500 (little birds)

3,500 Ch-46 Support helicopters

Navy

4,500 LCAC (Landing Craft Air Cusion)

1,125 LSD-41 (so i can transport 20% of my armed forces by sea)

150 DDG-993 KIDD-class destroyers

10 CVN-68 Nimitz-class AirCraft Carriers

30 BB-61 IOWA-class battleships

75 SSBN-726 Ohio-Class FBM Submarines

This reply is for editing my forces once suggestions are made.

1,200 new F-14 Tomcats will be made making the grand total 2,000 (this will happen during the next couple of years)

250 new B-2 bombers will be made making the grand total 500 (this will happen during the next couple of years)

300 new seaking helicopters will be made making the grand total 600 (this will happen during the next couple of years)

750 new Apache helicopters will be made making the grand total 1,750 (this will happen during the next couple of years)

5,000 Abram tanks will be decommisioned (sp?) making the new total 25,000 tanks (This will happen imediately)

Dude, your air force is wayyyy too small compared to the rest of your armed forces.

You might want to say something about your supply systems. Also I think the amount of tanks you have might be abit of the "too much" size... but I'm not sure on that one.

Especially with fighters.

Know how to make a good supply system?

You have waaaay too many carriers. If you have ten there is no way you can maintain the rest of your army.

How many should i get rid of?

You need logistics...

I'd say atleast half of your men in your Army/Navy/Air Force is in Logistics. That makes for a small ammount of men but with more money spent on the indivdual (sp?) soldier.

For your air force i suggest this, a lrage variety of aircraft with small numbers for each type. For instance, I use most types of MiG's and Su's, so there isn't a need to make very many of each type becauseof the huge ammount of different planes being used.

Your army needs to have more armour in less numbers. BTR's and other APC's would be a good idea. Self propelled and towed howitzers are needed along with vehicle recovery vehicles and other logistics vehicles (ie, command and control vehciles, armoured ambulances, ect.). You also need anti-air capabilities.

Listen to other people about your navy... I'm still working on mine.
