Old Gondor

The elegant capital of Old Gondor, Minas Tirith, was left in ruins yesterday when around 20 Mumakil stampeded into the lower level and gate.
The disaster happened at around 10am yesterday morning, when Bormoir, son of Denethor, and a small group of soldiers set off a mortar, from the neighbouring city of Osgiliath, which accidentally shot off towards a group of grazing Mumakil. The explosion startled the beasts, and they all sped off towards Minas Tirith.
From the White City, Faramir, Denethor's younger son, set to work firing rocket launchers and Battlecry Trebuchets, which crippled a few of the brutes, but not nearly enough. They continued advancing, smashing apart everything in their way.
It took around 1 hour to calm the beasts, but the lower level of the city was in ruins. Many citizens are still buried in the rubble, their cries for help the only clue to their whereabouts. Rescue Mumakil are trying hard to shift some of the debris, but there is too much, even for beasts as large as Mumakil. Many critics have criticised Bormoir's ideas for training so close to the Mumakil. Others have put the blame on Denethor himself for allowing Bormoir to train so close to them.
In an interview with The Old Gondor Times, Bormoir said: "I will take full responsibility for this disaster. My father has assured his people that everybody is trying as hard as they can to save the trapped citizens and moral is high in the city."
Boromir's younger brother also allowed himself to be interviewed, and he said: "We are appealing for any nearby nations to help. This is a crisis, and we need all the help we can get. It will be very much appreciated."
Denethor was unavailable for comment, but did tell us to clear off or he would set Pippin on us.
