Worldwide Olympics
Welcome to the First Olympiad
The games begin a month from today
the host country will be decided by an olympic committee of countries that are the first 5 to place bids on the host city, make your bids in this thread, because the olympic games will boost tourism and make your countries one of the most well known in the world you will get 10 billion dollars for hosting the games. that goes to your country and however you want to spend it, you might want to spend it on the new stadiums you will have to build in order to fit games of a huge magnitude. Every country that hosts the olympics is automatically a part of the olympic committee after that game.
Rules:
Choose athletes from all around the world to compete, in these 6 sports

Baseball, Basketball, Soccer and Softball are all played like the real olympics, like a league, best four of one league play the ther four in the other league and the top 3 get a medal.
So choose your athletes wisely, becuase the olympic committee will be judging on who would win or not in a certain competition.
I know this is filled with many holes and any suggestions you have please tell me and i will make them part of the games, i hope you like the idea of this and i hope you place your bids, remeber your bids have to tell what your going to build and how you will accomodate athletes. Any suggestions give me a telegram, or post it in the thread

We would like to place a bid for the games. Once we have a response we will give you a in depth description of the bid.
-Sheik Mon
O.K. do you have any suggestions for the game play or anything, and ur now part of the olympic commitee. You will have to do your job without being biased toward your country, Once other people join the committee we'll telegram each other to see which country should host
Castillanos
23-08-2004, 23:17
The Country of Castillanos would also like to make a bid as the Host Country to the olympics. We will post a roster of our athletes competing in the games and our Bid Information but until we learn more about these Olympics.
Morathania
23-08-2004, 23:19
The Federation of Morathania would like to put in a bid to host the Olympics in our capital city of Hamilton. We have a very nice country and most infastructure capable of holding an event like this is in place. We would be honored to be the host city for the first Olympics.
what does Castillanos need to know about the games
Castillanos
23-08-2004, 23:25
Well, the country of Castillanos would like to know who exactly will chose who is the host country, because in your post it says the first five countries who place bids will decide, and I really don't think that would work because everyone would end up voting for themselves. So if you can please clear this up for us, and we will begin placing information for our Hosting bid.
That is a very good point, so i think i will be the olympic judge to see which city should host, but other than that i have no idea how to do it, if u have any suggestions tell me.
Castillanos
23-08-2004, 23:34
Well, I'd have to say that the nations who have not put in bids but are participating in the games will get to vote after reading information about each Countrys different bids. Oh, and another question: To determine the winner, will you be RPing the games, rolling dice, by UN-Rankings, or a Random Generator?
RPing the game makes them more interactive so i think i will do it that way... Because rolling dice won't have enough numbers to see who wins, un ranking means political power wins, and random generator kind of takes a way, so as i see it RPing the games is the best options, then rolling dice
Castillanos
23-08-2004, 23:52
I find rolling dice a more efficient system, as with RPing games you'd have to be cautious of n00bs Godmodding. So as a suggestion, I say Roll Dice for the team events (Baseball, Basketball, Soccer, and Softball) and for the rest you could do an RP. Then again, it's your Olympics, so its up to you to set up the rolls.
Anyways, I'll posting the bid information shortly, oh and one quick, last question: Is the bid information to be posted in this thread or am I to make another one?
Post your bid in here, and i think that is a good idea, roll dice for the team sports and RP for individual, if there is godmodding then you get DQ'd so don't do it.
Castillanos
24-08-2004, 00:19
Okay, thanks. The Catilllanos Government is currently completing the Bid Information, and it shall be posted in a few days.
remember the bids must be detailed and 10 billion dollars goes to whoever wins the bid, bids must be in 2 weeks before the beginning of the games, also post your roster for your sports in this thread too, and you don't have to compete in every single event. As the time gets closer i will post the event Schedule on this thread.
Morathania
24-08-2004, 01:13
Did you see my bid?
yes i have, and due to a litlle hole in the planning the 1st 5 people who place a bid cannot be on the olympic committee, but once we get the other bids we'll see who will be the host of the 1st olympiad
Morathania
24-08-2004, 01:28
OOC: I can see that your new to NS. At least I think. You should start to use Capital Letters and good grammer if you are going to be doing RPs. It will make your posts look much better as well as give you a more substantial look. Now some may think that your just a stupid n00b. This is a big thing for a newbie like yourself to plan.

SANTIAGO OLYMPIC BID
Transportation
Santiago boasts one of the best transportation systems in the region of Europa and even in the vast lands of Nation States. The city of Santiago is located on the environmentally stunning east coast, and is connected to the world by the world famous Véspuche International Airport (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=347560&page=1&highlight=Castillanos) which is only a couple minutes outside of downtown Santiago. The city of Santiago, which is home to 3,847,779 people, is connected via the SkyRail Monorail System (http://www.gannettfleming.com/graphics/42272-05-05-01.jpg) which connects Downtown Santiago to it’s suburbs and neighboring town, and serves Vespuché International Airport with trains departing the airport every ten minutes and arriving in the heart of downtown 15 minutes later. The city is also home to an efficient bus service, which takes visitors to the major attractions in Santiago, which includes Museums, Dance Clubs, Parks, Malls, Amusement Parks and many other places. If Santiago is chosen as the host city, it will expand the SkyRail and bus system, while building a new Subway Service that will link the Olympic Village with the rest of Santiago. The city is also connected to the rest of Castillanos by its high speed Bullet Trains.
As you may already know, travel in Santiago is reliable, efficient, and fast, which is way Santiago would be a great place to host the 1st Olympiad.
Accommodations
Athletes will find many places to stay throughout Santiago, as it offers plenty of hotels to accommodate them. Below are the top three hotels in the city that offer special deals for the Athletes, listed by price from most expensive to least.
Monte Carlo Grand Hotel
http://www.rivieraby.com/montecarlogrand/images/montecarlogrand_home.jpg
Price: 239,126.14 Lira’s a night; $150.00 USD
Location: The Monte Carlo Grand is located west of downtown on the coast of Santiago, in the suburb of Santa Monica, which is known as the Beverly Hills of Castillanos. A bus stop is located in front of the Resort, while the SkyRail has a station a block away. The projected Subway system will include a stop in front of the resort. All three services will link the Hotel to the Olympic Village, with the Subway being the fastest service at 8 minutes travel time between the destinations, the SkyRail the second fastest with 12 minutes travel time, and the bus service being the slowest with an estimated 20 minutes travel time.
Extra Information: The Monte Carlo Grand Hotel is the most expensive and most luxurious hotel in Santiago. The hotel includes three indoor heated pools, a dock where yachts can be rented, a two-story 24-hour fitness center with a rock wall, state of the art rooms, and a 500 member staff to help guests with anything. The Monte Carlo also has it’s own private ballroom, bar, the award winning Japanese restaurant Shibuya, a tanning salon, and beauty parlor.
The Palace Hotel
http://www.las-vegas-hotel.ch/124363_CAESARS%20PALACE/Ceasars_Palacesmall.jpg
Price: 199,316.91 Lira’s a night; $125.00 USD
Location: Five minutes away from the Parliament in Downtown Santiago. The Palace has a SkyRail station right outside its lobby, while a bus station is right across the street and the projected subway will have a station five minutes away. All three services will link the Hotel to the Olympic Village, with the Subway being the fastest service at 5 minutes travel time between the destinations, the SkyRail the second fastest with 10 minutes travel time, and the bus service being the slowest with an estimated 15 minutes travel time.
Extra Information: The Palace Hotel is one of the top hotels in Santiago, as its deals are sort of expensive but the stay will be remembered. The hotel has a pool, a fitness center, a theatre, and a mini mall. The staff is friendly and they make guest’s visits memorable. The Palace even has it’s own Casino and a few restaurants, and is home to one of the hottest clubs in Santiago, La Mirage.
El Camino Real
http://media.lodging.com/p270000-270999/270154/311263.jpg
Price: 159,505.74 Lira’s a night; $100.00 USD
Location: A few minutes south of Downtown near the site of the projected Olympic Village. There is a bus stop and SkyRail station right across from the Hotel, and the projected subway system will have a station right outside the lobby. The SkyRail provides the fastest travel time between the Olympic Village and the El Camino Real Hotel is only 4 minutes, while the projected subway service has the second fastest time with a travel time of 5 minutes, and the bus with the slowest time of 10 minutes.
Extra Information: The El Camino Real was once the most luxurious hotel in the whole region of Europa, but as Santiago began growing and new technologies were invented, it lost its crown to other hotels. The El Camino still keeps it’s charm however with an antique ballroom, restaurant, bar, and the newly completed North Wing houses Club Levels, one of best clubs in Santiago. El Camino Real has a pool, a small fitness center, and a tanning salon.

Security & Defense
If Santiago’s bid wins, the city of Santiago will have three major security check points in the city, one outside of Santiago, one to get into Downtown Castillanos, and one to enter the Olympic Village. Also, all Bullet Trains entering the city will have to be checked at security stations five miles outside of Santiago, while boats will be screened at an artificial security island outside of Santiago’s Harbor, while planes will take alternate routes into Santiago having to fly around the city’s downtown area, which will become a no air zone prior to the games, which will only take a five minute delay. Planes will also be checked before heading into the gates, which again will only take a five-ten minute delay. Security will be enforced throughout the city while all stadiums will have metal detectors outside of their doors, which will be very quick and not cause many delays. Throughout the Olympic Village and offsite Stadiums the National Police Force will be patrolling, as well as many other places in the city, including the Stock Exchange, National Market, the International Airport, Port, etc. The Royal Army will also be on rooftops, in sewers, and on one of Santiago’s many public transportation vehicles, to keep the games Terrorist-Free. Also, Castillanos’s military has also installed a state of the art radar system has been placed outside of Santiago, which will detect every object flying towards Santiago, so if any terrorist plane or bomb appears in the airspace, our army can eliminate the threat. The Royal Army, upon request, will also personally protect individual athletes, whom nation’s might think may be in danger of participating in the games, but this really won’t be necessary as Castillanos has always been a peaceful nation and no one in the Nation States world has a grudge against us, and our military personnel is top notch, so the games will be safe.
The people of Castillanos hope you enjoyed our comprehensive guide to Santiago’s Olympic Bid, and we hope that you decide to host the games in our lovely city. Santiago is a lovely city, and the true place to hold the 1st Olympiad. We hope you agree, and again thank you for reading our guide!
If anyone has any questions or comments about Santiago’s Olympic Bid, please take no hesitation in sending us a telegram with your questions/comments at:

Interesting, Not interested on hosting, but rather interested in Providing a security force to watch the games.
That is a good idea, because it will cut down on the costs for the host city. And by the looks of it, the host will want to cut down on the costs, becuase it is an expensive process. And it looks like we'll need extra security for the New Zambudan athletes since the terror attacks in their home country.

Concerning the Zambudan Athletes, I say they should be quarantined before going to any games, to make sure they aren't still carring the Ebola Virus. As for the there Bid, I don't know if they still would be able to afford it, unless of course Emirate Island never recieved the virus.
The Zambudan Atheletes must be quarentined in a remote location and checked by the World Health Organization before they can compete in these Olympic games. As for their bid to host the games they are still contendors in the competition to host the Olympics.
My nation has enough people considered good enough to play in all of the sports. Now in the Swiming catagory I have three people in the following events:

The outbreak is contained an we are still commited to hosting the games. Also we have decided to beef up the security budget by 20,000,000,000 dollars. All military units are on indefinate alert. There will also be at least 10 checkpoints before you reach the venues and Emirate Island was lucky enough to only loose 500 people. By the time the planning is finished the virus will be dead and we are stockpiling atidotes to ebola, anthrax, ricin,vx gas, and many other bio weapons. All tickets will come with photo id's and all guests will be retina scanned at least 3,000 times by the time anyone gets to the venues.

I think the only nations applying, besides me, are New Zambuda and Morathania. If you want to review my nations bid, you can view it on the second page of this post. It is clearly labeled Santiago Olympic Bid in bright colors, so please review!
I know that tensions are running high right now, but I have just brok ground on a training complex in a remote location in my country for your athletes to come and train. I have ordered an Airbus A380 for my country and once it is completed I will escort your athletes and trainers and anyone else that needs to be quarantined into the training center. This training center includes lodging for your athletes, my country's best doctors, and A training area for each one of the competitions. We can discuss the transfer of your athletes onto the plane as soon as the Shipment of the airplane is complete. I hope this can ease some pressure in your country, and your athletes are as safe as they can be.

OOC: Callisdrun isn't the best in track and field, and doesn't even play soccer, baseball, basketball or softball, but is very very strong in swimming. Some other Callisdrunian strengths are rowing and gymnastics, would anyone consider including these two sports in this olympiad? I might consider bidding for the games, but I don't have very much time at the moment and I doubt my bid would be better than Castillanos.
I just want to make sure that I am noticed when you guys judge on who you all want to host the games.
Oh and I will have 500 billion set aside for this event if it takes place in my nations terrorty. I am getting from years of Wasted Government Money
You have to step up your bid Scoyle, and Qutar, i don't know anything about your venues, your security, or your plans, All I know is that you want to host.

Callisdrun Sporting Venues
*****************************************************
Callisdrin stadium-
Age: 1200 years.
Seats: 100,000
Events: Track and Field, Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
Location: Near downtown Callisdrin.
Built by King Haakon I soon after the unification of the country, Callisdrin stadium has been extensively renovated throughout the years and is now a very modern facility, though retaining its ninth century exterior. Practice facilities can easily be constructed a short distance away and then connected by tram.
Drun Tournament Grounds-
Age: 1500 years
Seats: 75,000
Events: Baseball, Softball
Location: Downtown Drun
Site of the annual medieval style tournament (Callisdrun's national sport) for hundreds of years, it is large enough and of the correct shape to be easily converted into a baseball/softball stadium. Like Callisdrin stadium, it has also been renovated over the years. There is space for practice fields just outside Drun, and a tram can be constructed to link them to the tournament grounds. Foreign experts will be hired to help with the transition into a ballpark, as Callisdrunians do not play baseball or softball.
Bergen Swim Center-
Age: 27 years
Seats: 30,000 in racing building, 10,000 in diving building.
Events: Swimming races, diving competition if added
Location: Bergen, a city halfway between Callisdrin and Drun
Swimming is big in Callisdrun, and so is the swim center. Actually two separate buildings adjacent to each other, the swim center is the venue used normally by Callisdrun's annual swimming and diving championships. An overhaul of the buildings is done every three years to ensure that the facilities never fall into disrepair. A smaller building off to the side of the site houses several practice pools. If the bid is won, a new heater will be installed in consideration of the fact that most foreign competitors and spectators are used to considerably warmer temperatures than those found in Callisdrun.
Callisdrin Arena-
Age: To be built if bid is won
Seats: 29,500
Event: Basketball
Location: Near downtown Callisdrin
If built, will be an extensive facility with training areas and full practice courts adjacent to it. Callisdrunians do not play basketball, so foreign expertise will be consulted in its design and construction.
Callisdrin Soccer Stadium:
Age: To be built if bid is won.
Seats: 65,000
Event: Soccer (OOC: duh)
Location: Just outside the city of Callisdrin
Callisdrunians do not play soccer, so the design of this facility is based on several foreign stadiums. It will be completed with three practice fields and other training areas right next to it. Should the bid be won, it is unclear as to what it will be used for after the Olympics, but undoubtedly a purpose will be found for it.
Should Gymnastics, Rowing, Volleyball (indoor and/or beach), or Cycling be added to the list of events, Callisdrun is prepared, as all are popular in this country and facilities already exist to house them, details of these venues are available upon request.
Lodging-
In Drun, athletes and other personnel involved will stay at the large Drun Castle Hotel. Usually used by fairly well-off tourists and couples on their honeymoons, it will be cleared several weeks before the games to make ready.
In Callisdrin, athletes will use Callisfjord Castle Hotel, on the periphery of the enormous Callisfjord Castle, at the center of which is Callisdrun's Capitol building, it is renowned for its high standards. As in Drun, it will be cleared several weeks beforehand to ensure that adequate preperations are made.
In Bergen, there is a cluster of four and five star hotels near downtown. The five star hotels will be cleared several weeks in advance as will the four star hotels if the number of athletes demands it.
Transportation-
Callisdrun has an excellent public transportation system consisting of bus and rail lines already linking many of the sites to each other. A large portion of both the buses and trains will be serviced and set aside specifically for the games. New tram lines will also be built where necessary.
Food: Athletes are guests and may eat anywhere they please, all costs will be picked up by Callisdrun.
Security- Callisdrun's intelligence services will be on full alert to thwart any attempt to disrupt, destroy, mar, stall or otherwise harm these games or anyone involved in them. Units of the Sniper Corps and the Marine Corps will be ready to respond to any threat that may present itself. The Olympics represent the ideals and dreams of humanity and the world, so security is naturally a priority. Terrorism has not been a problem in Callisdrun, but we shall be vigilant anyway. Spectators will be scanned to make sure no dangerous items are brought in. Security at the airport will increase tenfold
Drug testing- Callisdrun's rules for its own national competitions are extremely strict on this subject, and very advanced drug tests have been developed. A Callisdrunian, if found to be cheating, is banned from every competing and also stripped of every award ever won in their sport. Callisdrunian drug testing is available for use in these Olympics, although it shall be up to the IOC and a foreign competitor's nation what the consequences should be if they are caught cheating.
Opening and Closing ceremonies- If we win the bid, it is our belief that these should be planned jointly. Callisdrun has several fine orchestras available should they be needed, and Callisdrunian fireworks are very good.
This bid is completely open to requests and suggestions.

Why not use the tried, tested and highly successful method of using Simulators involving random numbers, then having People RP based on the results that it spews out.
Of course this works much better for the team sports like Football and basketball, but there's no reason why it couldnt work for, say, the 100m

Maserrat
28-08-2004, 10:56
Maserrat is an island in the East Pacific Ocean. It's population of 660 million are passionate about sport, especially those of football and hockey. This is shown by the government funds that are plunged into the sporting industry. Over the past ten years, stadiums have sprung up all over the region, none better than the Commodore Bowl, situated in Maserrat's capital, Rakasta.
The Commodore Bowl boasts a 70,000 capacity, and is equipped with a 400m track, space for field events such as pole vault, shotput and javelin, and an olympic sized swimming pool. Also in Maserrat are several other stadiums which could be used for other events, such as Equestrianism, Soccer and Hockey. The Penrithron Stadium, located in the most southerly region of Tyrod, has a capacity of 64,000, and has the capabilities to hold soccer matches, as well as an indoor hockey pitch.
Also located in Rakasta is the Yamsterdam village, the place where participants in the Yamsterdam Tounrament were to stay, before it was abandoned. As a result, the village is completely new, has a number of luxury hotels, an artificial beach (similar to Wansee in Germany), swimming pool and, of course, a number of bars and restaurants. The friendly staff (we are the 9th friendliest nation in the region) are always happy to lend a hand and sort out any problems.
The services in Maserrat are next to none. Healthcare is paid for by the state, and all equipment is top of the range. Our medics are trained at the fabled Eammib University, and all attained at least 98% in their final examinations. The transport system is excellent. Public transport is of the highest quality, as trains and buses come every ten minutes to all sorts of destinations. The Swiss time keeping system employed by the nation ensures that all transport is on time. The nation has also recently undergone a major revamp of the roads, levelling them out to ensure smooth rides. The lack of cars on the roads ensure no traffic jams and no accidents, a clean record being kept for the past three years.
The weather in Maserrat has always been pleasant - not so cold as to give frostbite, but not so warm as to make people sweat like pigs. The average temperature for this time of year is 23 degrees celsius and rainfall at 10mm per month. However just in case it is a little hot, the number of hydroelectirc dams produce sufficient amounts of water without polluting the atmosphere.
So as you can see, the nation could easily cope with the Olympics. The number of possible stadiums for use surpasses twenty, there are enough buses and trains for every member of the nation twice over and the water supply is infinitive. If this hasn't persuaded you, perhaps the state of health care, road safety and the frinedly atmosphere will. We can assure you that everybody that enters the nation will come out feeling refreshed and ultimately happy with life. It is paradise on Earth, and is the perfect place to hold the Olympic games. So vote for Maserrat - because everybody deserves a piece of paradise.
How many are currently bidding to be the host city of the Olympiad?

Chicago is well suited with 2 ready baseball and softball stadiums of over 40,000 capacity (Comiskey and Wrigley)
2 Soccer stadiums (Solder Field and new Chicago Fire Stadium)
1 football stadium (Soldier Field)
2 Basketball stadiums (All STate Arena and the United Center)
track and field facilities (at Soldier Field, and area colleges like Northwestern, Loyola, and University of Chicago.)
Chicago hosts a world class marathon every fall so we are use to handling that event.
We have hotel rooms for the number of people coming and would not have to do any building so there is no delay.
We have 4 full sized airports including the world's busiest (O'Hare) along with O'Hare we have MIdway in the city, Abraham Lincoln International Airport in Peotone and Gary-Chicago in Gary, IN.
Guests would be able to shop the Magnificent Mile on Michigan Avenue, go down scenic Lake Shore Drive. Visit Millenium and Grant Parks. Walk from the stadiums to the Field Museum, McCormick place, Shedd Aquarium, and Adler Planetarium. They are a CTA train or bus away from the Museum of Science and Industry.
We offer beaches along Lake Michigan, boat tours in the lake and river. Navy Pier is available to all visitors who want to see the shops and attractions there.
There is no reason to say no to Chicago.

New Californiajai Would like very much to apply for participation only. We are a small country yet and would not be able to hold such a venue at this time. A List of all our non-proffessional athletes will be available upon request. Due to hightened security measures the names of the athletes cannot be revealed at this time. After a Host city has been voted for and we are assured of the saftey of the athletes only then will the roster be announced. please forgive us if this causes any problems with meeting any deadlines.

Oh, and I'd also like to thank all my fans, they've been great supporting me throughout my Music...Olympic career, without them nothing could be possible...
The games should start no later then September 20th, so roughly two weeks time. Castillanos's Summer Months extend to around Mid-October, so the tempurature in Santiago will be over 80 Degrees Farenheight during the day and around 65 Degrees Farenheight at night.
We are also sending IDF's basketball team, the best from our Chicago territory. The team is the 1996 Chicago Bulls!!!
*Lights dim at United Center while the video board over mid-court lights up and the music (I can't remember the song for the Intro at the United Center) starts and the video of the herd of bulls running through Chicago to find the United Center begins. We sympathize, as Callisdrun also values the great sport of gymnastics. We would rather simply go and pester the others to include gymnastics in the next Olympiad than boycott the games. We don't understand why basketball was included and gymnastics not. Hopefully, the next Olympiad will have gymnastics and crew added, as both these sports are important to Callisdrun.

However, I promise to contact Webombu to try and make him reconsider by adding a few more sports to these games, and if he does, I will personally organize the new sports. Callisdrun would like to participate in the torch relay. How will the opening ceremony be done?
Castillanos
08-09-2004, 02:48
Callisdrun will be more than welcomed to join in the Torch Relay, but to submit a person to the relay you must submit the person(s) you are wishing to submits name.
For the Opening Ceremony, we have planned for the Santiago Olympic Stadium to be filled with water while a long walkway in the middle will be placed and another walkway will be placed around the water. A parade displaying the History of Castillanos will pass through the middle, followed by dancers on all the walkways in national costumes dancing to a tropical beat, which will end with them walking off stage, the walkways being lowered, and a large fountain show with colored water ending with the fountains displaying the olympic rings. Then, the middle walkway will be raised while all the lights will be shut off leaving the stadium pitch black, and Trevor Scheon (Webombu) will run through the walkway holding the flaming torch (the torch being the only light), and running all the way down the runway, and passing the torch to Reynaldo Gianecchini (Castillanos), who will leave the stadium and run up to the top of the Santiago Tower, which looms over the entire Olympic Stadium, and light the flame (at a later time). Also at this time, the lake will be drained and the entire floor will be raised, but this won't be seen by the public.
Once the entire floor has been raised, the lights will flash on as the parade of nations will begin with two women will walk down first, one waving the flag of the Olympics, while the other waving the flag of Castillanos, and both will be wearing the National Costume (http://www.missuniverse.com/delegates/2004/images/costume/SV.jpg). Approximately one minute after they come out, the parade of nations will begin with the nations parading across the stadium in alphabetical order (Castillanos being the last)until they have walked around the entire stadium and then the delegates will form a large version of the olympic circle and the President of the IOC and/or the President of the Castillanos Olympic Comitee will make a speech about these olympics, and the olympic flag will be raised while Gabriela Meija will sing the national anthem.
At this time, Reynaldo Gianecchini will have climbed the 790 steps of the Santiago Tower with the Olympic torch and flame, and at the top of the tower he will light the gigantic Cauldrun located at the top of the tower (which will be shown on the screens in the stadium), and the flame will begin to burn throughout the ten days of the Olympiad. This will mark the beginning of the Olympics, and the end of the Opening Ceremonies.

Live Opening Ceremonies At Santiago Olympic Stadium
http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=356866
ooc: I rolled the dice and decided who would win, and now I'm just saying what happened, like an RP but with no one else playing.
We Take you live to Santiago Olympic Stadium where Track is the name of the game. We'll have, in both divisions, Men's 1500m, Women's 1500m, and the Men and Women's 100m. Best of luck to you athletes.
In the Men's 1500m, New Zambuda in Lane one, Castillanos in Lane 2, Psov in Lane 3, Enripta in Lane 4, Quatar in Lane 5, and The Grand Roman Empire in Lane 6.
"Racers on your mark... Get Set..." Said the Umpire
And there's the gun with Quatar in the lead at the start and TGRE in a long second followed by Enripta, Castillanos then New Zambuda, and in Last Psov. We're on lap 5 and Quatar starts to fall back while TGRE maintains their pace. While Enripta is moving up.
With the Last lap its Enripta, .003 seconds away from World Record time. Castillanos is trailing by .34 seconds and TGRE trailing by .36 seconds.
Almost at the end and TGRE is gaining on Castillanos but will he make it on time. Its going to be a photo finish here. And Enripta crosses the finish line with a new world record of 12:45.87and TGRE barreling in for second, and Castillanos finishes in third. You'll be seeing the other division This tuesday in the finals.
Men's 1500m
well with such a close race like last time I hope we can expect the same from this one.
Callisdrun in Lane 1, Capitolista in Lane 2, Tomzilla in Lane 3, The Imperial Knights in Lane 4.
On your marks... get set...
And there's the gun and Capitolista pulls out in first followed by Tomzilla, then the Imperial knights and in last Callisdrun. We're half way through the race and the Standing are the same but with Capitolista pulling even furhter in front of the competition. They are 1:30 behind World Record time and it seems as if world record dreams for Capitolista will not be met today. But they are about 43.67 seconds ahead of Tomzilla and The Imperial Knights.... And now on their last lap Capitolista takes a commanding lead by lapping Callisdrun and coming close to lapping The Imperial Knights. And they are 23 seconds behind World Record Time, and 1:54 ahead of Tomzilla. And Capitolista passes the finish line and Minutes later Tomzilla and The Imperial Knights pass, Callisdrun finished in a dissapointing last for their team.
You'll be seeing Castillanos, Enripta, and The Grand Roman Empire on Tuesday.
Women's 1500m
Callisdrun in Lane 1, Capitolista in Lane 2, Tomzilla in Lane 3, and The Imperial Knights in Lane 4.
On your Mark, Get set...
Capitolista Has a surprising False Start. Two more and you're disqualified.
On your Mark... Get Set...
Theres the gun and Capitolista Recovers and take a lead with Callisdrun in second Tomzilla in 3rd and TIK in 4th..... Half way through the race Capitolista seems to be running in a curve. And in the Heat its not surprising, its a very hot night tonight. But Callisdrun is stil in second but with TIK in third, and Tomzilla in last. Something the crowd is worried about though is Capitolista... she isn't looking to well. One lap later and Capitolista Swerves out of Her lane is Is Disqualified from the race. The race is over without completion. Callisdrun in First, TIK in Second, and Tomzilla in Third. Medics rush into the Stadium and take put Capitolista in a Stretcher and takes her out of the Stadium. Latest word on her is that she'll be fine.
Women's 1500m
New Zambuda in Lane 1, Castilanos In Lane 2, Psov in Lane 3, Enripta in Lane 4, Quatar in Lane 5, The Grand Roman Empire in Lane 6
One you're marks get set
There's the gun and they're off.
New Zambuda in First, Psov in Second and Quatar in third. Half way throug this event the standings are the same, but with Quatar falling furhter behind.
In the last stretch of this race Quatar steps up her game and comes even closer to Castillanos then ever before, but her efforts in Vain as New Zambuda comes in 1st, Castillanos comes in 2nd and Quatar comes in 3rd.
I'll be back with the results from The Women's and Men's 100m and Castillanos will bring you live swimming coverage.
We're back live with the Field events At Santiago Olympic Stadium. This evening The countries will be Competing in the Medal Qualifying round. The Top Three in one division will play the top three in the other for a medal.
For the Women's Shot put, Callisdrun Comes up to the Circle and prepares to throw. In Order to Meet the minimum the Athlete must throw the Ball once and must get past 75 Yards, but only the top three will advance. And Callisdrun's throw goes far but will they make it, just barely a measly 76.45 yards. Sorry about that. Better luck next time.
Capitolista comes up to the circle and Heaves it Far and its going far and far and its drops at 79.32. Good job, that was a good shot, not the best results, but a good effort.
Tomzilla steps up and prepares to throw it... And he launches it, like cannons for arms. the final resting spot for that rocket is 85.76 yards.
And the last team to go is TIK she steps right up to the circle and just launches that hing but doesn't quite get the hwight she had hoped for and lands a good 3 yards from the qualifying line. Sorry about that, better luck next year.
So advancing to the Medal round is Tomzilla in first, Capitolista, in second, and Callisdrun in third.
Men's Hammer
Same teams as the Shot put and this time its the men who are going out their to strut their stuff.
Callisdrun goes up to the circle and swings that thing hard and lets go perfectly, its times like these you're glad you became a sports broadcaster. That thing soars past the minimum yardage of 75 and lands at a whopping 89.63 a new world record. Congratulations Callisdrun.
Capitolista steps up and spins and spins and launches it. It goes high but not that far, and it makes it just past the 75 yard mark. 76.77.
Tomzilla goes up and Spins it and throws it. Its goes far and lands past Capitolista's mark of 76.77. But the judges have called a foul they believe he has stepped outside of the ring when he threw, lets look at the replay... The set up and the spin.. And he did indeed step out of the Ring. So sorry but you've been disqualified. And TIK advances without Play.
Javelin
This is the javelin, you must the the pole 80 yards to qualify.
Callisdrun takes a running start, which is not prohibited, and throws the pole very far, but not straight at all, that could cost her some yardage. but she makes it 85 yards exactly.
Tomzilla goes and takes his running start and launches the pole into another dimension, straight as an arrow and smooth as cream. Soars past Callisdruns and shatters the world record. 104.6 yards.
I don't think they're getting beat today.
TIK takes the Javelin, runs from afar and Crushes that thing and blasts it away. It's going back and back and past callisdrun but drops like a lead balloon at around 90 yards.
Up now is Capitolista, wait, whats this.. I'm getting word that Capitolista's athlete has sprained his wrist and will not be able to participate tonight. Capitolista drops out.
Advancing are TIK, Callisdrun and World Record Breaking Tomzilla.
More for you after the break.
