Leningrad, USSCR 1145 Zulu
Victory Square
Victory Square was undulating and roaring. Over 300,000 protesters had assembled on the steps of the square. Persons clung to the massive statuary with megaphones, screaming at the crowd, demanding liberation. Leningrad police were the first to arrive, mostly just keeping their presence known to make sure the protest was peaceful. Then the most powerful force in the history of the world arrived, THE MEDIA. Crews immediately began setting up. The crowd roared happily in response.
"Are we ready?" inquired field reporter Pavel Kerensky.
"You're on!" hissed his camera man.
The reporter snapped to attention, hearing the desk reporter's lead in through his earpiece, "That's right, Alek, and as you can see the crowd is growing by hundreds. I am told that the protest was originally held to object to the piece of legislation now moving through the Politburo concerning the police force."
The feed switched to other cameras, zooming in on the megaphone-wielding, statue-clinging leaders of the protest.
Pavel continued, "However the crowd has in the past hour been stirred to a frenzy, as propaganda is issued to them by citizens with megaphones. The people are being told that the police are all-powerful to prevent uprisings of the working class. They want the power to build their own wealth. The protest cries for private property and possessions."
Cameras panned across the crowd jumping, shouting, and chanting for new government.
"An unprecedented event in the USSCR; the people are calling for REVOLUTION."

Moscow, USSCR 0206 Zulu
Press Room
The reporters had waited anxiously for the government's response to the protest in Leningrad. They had been told that the Premier was unavailable, and they were puzzled as to how long they would have to wait.
Finally, a stressed-looking Foreign Minister strided to the podium. Notepads were placed on knees, television cameras focused, and microphones activated.
"Comrades, the Premier has unfortunately fallen ill and has not yet been contacted on this matter. It is, however, in the constitution of the USSCR that a rebellion is to be met with force to ensure the safety of Communist USSCR. I am announcing that Leningrad police have been ordered to disperse the crowd. Questions?"
An older man in the front stood, "Comrade Minister, what is to come of the protests now starting in each major city of Communist Rule?"
"The Security Council of the Politburo has decided that we shall be making the same effort to quell these capitalist uprisings."
"And what of the possibility of riots?"
"The USSCR's military has been placed on full alert. Peace-keeping units are beginning to mobilize now."

Reporters snapped pictures rapidly as Prime Marshallisimo of Tokarev ,Prince Naruhiko Higashikuni, and the former CEO of Nisseki and Mitsubishi, Fumiaki Watari, strode up to the podium in front of the Imperial Palace.
Prince Naruhiko cleared his throat and began talking in his clear, booming voice, "Ladies and gentlemen. At approximately 1145 today close to a third of a million citizens took protest to the governmnent of the USSCR. In order to protect not only our own interests in the region," Watari nodded sagely behind the Prince, "but in the name of our friendship with the USSCR and international peace, we are preparing to send troops to aid the government in keeping the peace and preventing any sort of armed, militant uprising. That is all, thank you."

Victory Square
"...AND GO BACK TO YOUR HOMES! DISPERSE IMMEDIATELY OR WE WILL BE FORCED TO USE...FORCE!" The Police Sergeant grimaced in embarassment at his mistake. He returned the microphone to its holder as the message echoed through the other huge loudspeakers assembled around the square. It had started snowing heavily, and there was already over 3 inches of snow on the ground. What had started as a peaceful protest with a few police/militia standing around watching escalated to a frenzied riot with thousands of policemen standing by.
"Sergeant Poleski!" the voice came from the acting police commander at the scene, a Captain with a distinguished service record in the Red Army Paratroopers, "Come down here, I want your analysis."
"Of course, comrade Captain." Both men walked down towards the huge armored Recreational Vehicle that was to be thier command post.
"Look at this, Sergeant," the Captain pointed to a television monitor showing increased violence in the middle of the crowd; a scuffle was unfolding that was turning into a riot, "Your recommendation?"
"Comrade Captain, I believe if we were to move in we would be lose a front. We have surrounded the square, but as we move in the riot can simply take their massive numbers and push out of the square, reaking havoc on the city."
"The clock is ticking, Poleski. They do not seem to be dispersing."
"What do you suggest, comrade Captain?"
"I believe we should--" His opinion was cut short by an explosion that shook the snow off the roof of the RV, "WHAT THE HELL?"
The Captain poked his head out the door, saw smoke, and grabbed a riot officer running past, "What happened?"
"A pipe bomb went off underneath a car!"
"WHAT!?" The Police Captain engaged is radio, "All riot units prepare to move in."
"Comrade Captain," Poleski called from behind, "What of the new riot vehicles we have received from the government?"
"Call them in! This will be ugly."
At the skirmishing lines, riot officers huddled behind riot shields as rocks, bottles, snow, and ice were hurled at them. They had made 103 arrests already, but the massive crowd stretched in front of them.
"Good luck to you, 'Bones,'" one riot officer told his friend underneath his shield.
"And to you, 'Skelly,'" his friend replied as he blocked an incoming vodka bottle,
"And may God help us all."

Approximately 15 minutes from USSCR/ARSB Eastern border
Leadship of "Last Supper Flight"
The noise in the rear of the MC-130H was fantastic. Major Yuriy Kamarov did not find the movement to be as settling. Moving at 300 mph, 12 dark shapes glided at approximately 85 feet over the Siberian forests. Yuriy was a Russian paratrooper, and he knew that he had to get his troops to the landing zone and secure the objective, and he also knew that, as the commanding officer, he was in charge of 624 other paratroopers in this raiding party. He snapped out of his thoughts when he realized the loadmaster was yelling in his ear.
"13 MINUTES!"
Yuriy nodded, and screamed it to his own troops. They echoed in confirmation. Each man was equipped with a light combat load. An assault rifle, in this case the AK-103. On their hips sat an American pistol, but loved by all of the world: The Colt 1911. A few stronger of the men carried the RPD. Those with rock-solid aim held the Dragunov SVD. Finally, those crazy enough to take them were awarded the RPG-7 or SA-7.
Yuriy waved over his second, a Junior lieutenant. Together they would confirm their mission's intent. They first would take an METT-T analysis.
"Mission?"
"We are to take control of the joint ARSB/USSCR defense network facilities to keep them from rebel control."
"Correct. Enemy?"
"Minimal to none. ARSB security forces may have to be dealt with."
"Keep it non-lethal if possible."
"Understood, comrade Major."
"Terrain?"
"I am to understand we will be working on the Siberian facilities, meaning alot of foliage and trees."
"Make sure your platoon hits the correct LZ, and doesn't hang in trees all night."
"Of course."
"Troops?"
"We have approximately 36 troops battle-ready."
"Any problems?"
"We've checked our equipment many times over, no problems."
The Major looked to the loadmaster and got the return signal: 1 minute.
He turned to the cargo hold and bellowed, "ONE MINUTE." The jump light turned red.
In the hold 72 men pulled back the bolts on their weapons, slides on their sidearms. No man staggered as the MC-130H began to climb. It was quite steep, but all men knew to keep a grip on something solid.
The Light turned yellow on all boards. "30 SECONDS!"
Weapons were clipped on, packs were secured. All eyes were on unilluminated green light.
It sparked to life, "GO GO GO"
Men poured out of the back of the MC-130H, parachutes deploying within 5 seconds. Each man knew where to go, and two great paths of men divided out of the stream of those out of the airplane.
The Junior Lieutenant was leading his men to a radar facility, and the major was heading to a communications facility. NVG/IR goggles accompanied by GPS aided their infiltration.
Feet cluttered to the ground, men grunted and rolled. Clips were disengaged and parachutes rolled up. Major Kamarov and his men were on the ground.
He gazed through the green tint at his men securing the Landing Zone. Deemed secure, all men turned eyes on him. Two quick hand motions forward told the men to move out. At a steady jog the 36 men dashed through the forest. The Com Post was visible in the distance. Constructed of mostly cement, it shown brilliantly when the moon struck it.
The Major crouched down at the tree line, holding up a closed fist. Not even looking back, he flashed the number 2 with his fingers, and pointed right. He flashed number 1 and point left. The fireteams split up. Major Kamarov was to disable the pillboxes. He flashed an ultraviolet light on his map, making sure that no security devices lay in their path. On confirmation of this, he gave the forward movements again, and 6 men formed two straight lines, crouching and slowly moving across the cleared area towards the pillboxes.
The slowly creeped up on the pillboxes, until they were just inches away from crossing into their line of sight. On another hand motion, one of the men shouldered his weapon to bring out two smoke grenades. Tossing one to the Major, he pulled the pin out of his own and lobbed it into the pill box openings. The Major did likewise to the second pillbox. Immediately scrambling was heard. The smoke canisters popped open and began expelling numerous amounts of smoke into the small area. Men stumbled out, only to be caught by the paratroopers. These men were bound with Quick Cuffs, and gagged.
One group of 6 would remain outside and secure the perimeter.
The Major and five men would clear the building. Approaching the door the Major fed in the access codes (this wasn't a foreign facility, after all). The door opened and the men rushed in, surprising the night shift before they could do anything.
"Do not move. Get away from your consoles and sit down on the ground."
The Major watched as the men complied. He sent two of his men to frisk and search the room. The other 3 were silently creeping through the sleeping quarters, seizing weaponry before sealing the room shut from the outside.
The Major walked over to the communications console. He dug inside his pocket and brought out a notecard, where instructions and a frequency were scribbled. He booted up the system, and spoke into the microphone, "Apostles this is Jesus. Manger secured."
The postive replies came back, "Judas reporting in, Peter reporting in," etc.
The USSCR now controlled the Eastern Defense Network line.

Due to the presence of foreign ships in the Black Sea, a heightened alert status has been given to the 4th Expeditionary Fleet, already anchored in the region. The 3rd Expeditionary Fleet, stationed in Rostov, will be prepared for possible deployment. The 4th Expeditionary Fleet will move to a position twenty-six miles from the Tokarev fleet.
Although these forces are assumed friendly, ARSB naval assets will maintain keen observation of the force for the duration of their presence in the Black Sea.

Police Command Post, Victory Square
"They're getting violent, Captain."
"Da, but can we go in without our riot vehicles?"
"They are 12 minutes away."
No man flinched as they heard more gunshots fired. The automatic clattering was being heard more and more often. Somehow the riot had gotten a hold of many automatic weapons. So far the rounds just flew into the air, but who knows what would happen next.
However, each man turned his head, mouth open as they heard a new voice, "RETURN TO YOUR HOMES OR YOU WILL BE FIRED UPON. THIS IS YOUR FIRST AND LAST WARNING."
"WHAT THE HELL?"
Their RV door banged open as an officer stumbled in, "THE MILITARY IS HERE! THEY HAVE FUCKING TANKS!"
"DURAKI!"
The Captain stormed out of the RV with his Sergeant in tow. He saw tanks and APCs lining up along the perimeter of the square. He climbed up on the nearest tank, "Where the fuck is your commanding officer?"
Coming around the tank with polished boots and a crisp uniform was a Lieutenant General in charge of an infantry brigade, "I am. Comrade Captain, I am Lieutenant General Omorov. I will be taking control of your assets."
"WHAT? THIS IS JUST A PROTEST!"
"Comrade Captain, do you not hear these shouts? They are treason," he continued calmly, "tell me, cormade Captain, where do you think they have received these rifles?"
"Probably personal stores."
"They attacked a paramilitary convoy that was proceeding here to arm YOUR policemen with heavier weaponry. They have everything from Rocket-propelled grenades to automatic Kalashnikovs."
The Captain was stunned.
"We will give them 10 minutes to comply and leave. If not, we will order your riot troops to move in, as will we."
"YOU CAN'T KILL OUR CITIZENS!?"
"They are not citizens, comrade Captain. They are Traitors. You are relieved."
